Wow! Hard to find words to describe this place. As soon as you walk in, you feel calm and relaxed. Great decor- right out of the fixer uppers- The staff is great, the owners are the nicest folks you ever want to meet and so friendly! We sat at the counter as there was a significant wait for a table. It was very comfortable. We're ordered the autumn salad and smilin reuben. Both were very, very good. They didn't look very big, but we were so full afterwards. Very fresh. Love the fact that the owners are open to suggestions and ideas. So very glad I googled breakfast places in this area. All of the reviews (which are well justified), led me here to experience breakfast for myself. For starters, the place is well appointed from a decour perspective, and who doesn't love an open kitchen? The owner Jimmy is a truly nice guy, and not only very approachable, yet truly concerned about YOUR experience at HIS establishment. I love that. Ther service was fantastic, the servers handled the quick high volume well, and were also totally down to earth and friendly. So, a win across the board there. The Jersey Benny (Eggs Benedict with taylor ham) was excellent. The hollandaise sauce was prepared very well, had a wonderful bright yellow hue, and a nice hint of lemon could be tasted throughout each bite. And thanks goodness that the poached eggs were still runny! Seems like a lot of places miss the mark on that one. I also tried the maple bourbon bacon bites, which are basically thicker square cubes of tender bacon, served with candied pecans and a bourbon maple sauce. Sweet, rich, and a perfect side dish for two. I was alone and gobbled that bad boy up myself. Perhaps I was hungrier then usual. Anyway, enough rambling from me. Here's the scoop. Chatham is a charming down, and Sorriso Kitchen adds more charm to the surrounding area. Between the incredibly friendly individuals who own/run this place, and the food which is well prepared and spot on, I'd say this place isn't going away anytime soon. Overall a solid new restaurant! Quick and friendly service, great menu, awesome mission and yummy coffee. There is however, room for improvement. We ordered the maple bacon beauties, Greco omelette and the Italian benedicto. The bacon beauties were AMAZING, definitely a great starter. While the greco omelette itself was delicious, it only came with a few pieces of potatoes (definitely a smaller portion than expected). I was also quite disappointed by the Italian benedicto. As you can see in the picture, it came with two tiny pieces of prosciutto - NOT worth the $14 I paid it. I personally don't like feeling like a restaurant is being "cheap" with their portions, and that's how I felt with our meals. The flavors are absolutely exquisite, so hopefully they'll consider being a bit more generous with what they give. I'll definitely be giving it another try soon! read more

Met my daughter and son in law for breakfast and thought we'd try Sorriso. Hostess told us 45 minutes we waited for 55 minutes before going to Chatham Bagel and getting breakfast sandwiches and coffee. Came back sat on a bench next to Sorriso ate our sandwiches and left. Staff was very friendly, food was very good and fresh. We came in and there was no wait. Got seated at the window. The decor is beautiful, felt like I was in someones home for breakfast. Food came ready within minutes and everything was hot and fresh. I have nothing bad to say about this place, I came here because of the great reviews on yelp and didn't leave disappointed! My wife and I just ate at this cute, lovely restaurant located on Main Street in Chatham. Despite a packed house, we waited briefly, and received excellent service. The inside decor was funky and friendly always coming back to the theme Sorriso which is Italian for smile. My wife and I both got sandwiches with fries, and were very happy the meal. Mine was an LIB which was packed perfectly with grilled chicken, bacon, avocado and honey dijon mustard, which honestly was a perfect combo. The fries were a perfect crunch and seasoned with something sweet and spicy. If you're in Chatham looking for comfort food this is the place. read more

Place is always crowded for brunch. Food didn't blow me away, but was good. Beware of the soda. The coke tastes NOTHING like a coke since it's organic or something. When I asked the waitress if they had made a mistake with my drink, she instantly said no it's our coke and it doesn't taste the same because it's organic and made with less sugar. The reviews about long wait times are a bit much. Yes, just like any place ESP with limited capacity, you may have to wait. The owners are super friendly, the staff is friendly and the food is amazing. They do their best to get you a seat asap and accommodate your requests. As for the food, everything we've gotten here has been good, my favorite is the rise and shine breakfast sandwich. I like the craisin chicken sandwich too. The burger is solid, as well as the omelets. The specials are also always good, we've gotten them a few times. read more

Servers are nice. Management was rude. We frequented there, they lost 2 customers and word of mouth. Response to Karen: Your response is based on second hand information as you were not a party to what transpired. We would not have initiated a negative review if the owner had chosen to provide good customer service instead of choosing to create a horrible customer experience via the following series of events. So I will relay what happened. I was the person who was there with Esira. We ordered the chef's Hash which is a dish we frequently order when we visit your restaurant and an entree that is always good. In addition we made a request via our server for a waffle and she politely informed us that the waffle could only be purchased as part of the special. I told her it was okay to charge us for the special, but to, however, ask the chef not to place anything on it and that we were okay with paying full piece for the special that would essentially only be the waffle. So we agreed to pay over $12.00 for a waffle. We then observed the waitress explaining to the chef our request and he appeared to be annoyed. The waitress had already warned us that the chef would not be inclined to serve the waffle by itself regardless of us agreeing to pay for the entire entree. However, she agreed to try. Upon receiving our entrees, the chef's hash was good as usual, however, the waffle was undercooked. We alerted the waitress to this issue and someone instead of her came over to our table. I am assuming this is the owner you are referring to. He came over and we said the waffle was undercook, would it possible to provide us with a new waffle? He said he did not want to do so because he may be in a position of providing multiple waffles to satisfy us. I told him that he had not provide a second waffle so his suggestion that we would not be satisfied had not been determined. He said his preference was to not provide us with a second freshly prepared waffle and he did ask us if we wanted something else instead of a waffle. We told him, we did not and he responded again that he did not wish to provide the second waffle and would prefer to stop making waffles and he said he would remove the waffle from our check. He never said the waffle machine was damaged. We were then given our check as the table was cleared (without being done finishing the hash) , so we essentially paid $32.07 for a meal that had a bite of and we left a $10.00 tip because it is the right thing to do and the server was of course not at fault. Good customer service begins by establishing a culture of good service and treating your customers with respect. I am sure thy given our history with your establishment, the waffle special would have been a good entree for someone, however, we only wanted a waffle and agreed to pay more than $12.00 for it. Our decision to request only a well cooked waffle created such an issue for your organization that it led to poor customer service and now these back and forth comments. The owner NEVER apologized to us at ANYTIME during our visit. It is unfortunate that we have arrived at this juncture. We are supporters of small businesses and we have been a frequent customer to your restaurant amongst I am sure many others who are. We do, however, care about good customer service. I don't think I have ever seen "tuna salad" with so much watery mayonnaise that you could slurp it with a straw. We waited over an hour to be rushed through brunch and served inedible tuna salad. This restaurant is relatively new in town and I really wanted to like it and very much expected to as I see crowds waiting when I drive by. Huge disappointment. Went for lunch and ordered a corned beef reuben. My sandwich had very little corned beef in it (the entire surface of the bread was not covered with meat) and the corned beef was thick and rubbery. The sauerkraut was undetectable. I didn't see any cheese. It was mostly a big piece of bread from a panini press with some fries on the side (fries were good). Also the presentation had no appeal at all. Seemed like it was a rushed job to slap some food on a plate and get it out. My friend ordered the steak sandwich which was also a huge disappointment. Barely any steak and very little cheese and again a huge chunk of bread with not much inside. I'd say the kitchen staff needs much help. The restaurant was crowded and we waited about 20 minutes. I'd like to think breakfast may be a bit better here but I have no desire to return and find out. The newness of this place will soon wear off and my guess is they will be left with few customers. read more

Families raved about the scrumptious Shrimp and Grits special. The chicken fingers and fries got great reviews from the kids. What better way to top off dinner than with the "Happy Cakes" that brought smiles to all of our faces?!?! As always, the food was AMAZING!!! If I was breaking the ratings down by category, the rating I would give just for the food experience would be 3 stars. I came here on a Sunday morning (which, is brunch day madness). I ordered the bourbon bacon pancakes and was not too pleased. The 3 pancakes I got were on the burnt side, which made the pancakes taste dried out. The bacon seems too fatty...it's cut into thick cubes. Some cubes are just fat pieces and not meat pieces. I feel I didn't get to fully enjoy the flavor since the burnt flavor was taking over. I also got a scrambled egg on the side which was good - hard to mess up an egg ya know. Their coffee is also very good. I am, however, giving this place 4 stars because we were seated fairly quickly for a Sunday, the service is very kind, and the atmosphere is awesome. I felt like I was in Manhattan. All in all, an enjoyable place. :-) I would like to come back to give the food another shot. read more

I met up with my girlfriend for brunch here since it was somewhat in between both of our houses. I got there a few minutes before she did to put our name in for a table. At 10:30AM, it was already packed and larger groups (more than 2) were on a waitlist. We didn't wait long and managed to grab a table quickly. We ordered the steak skillet, bananas foster pancakes, and bourbon bacon. The steak was ok....tasty but not totally blown away. The pancakes were delicious. The bacon was fantastic. The servers were fast and were definitely hustling given the crowd and tables seemed to turn over quickly. By the time we left, there was still a line of people. The food is spectacular. The chorizo hash breakfast special is one of the best breakfasts I have ever had, and I love breakfast. My friend had the bananas foster French toast - it was so good, it left her speechless. The bacon maple pecan side is a must have, (the menu says so and I agree). Food was ok. We ordered the eggs with corned beef and pancakes with chocolate chips on the side. The corned beef was very fatty and the pancakes were flat with the chocolate chips baked in. The wait staff were not friendly. They seemed very stressed to the point where one of the waitresses yelled at me when I asked for 2 % milk instead of cream for my coffee. It's really hard to not give this wonderful restaurant the 5 stars that it deserves. If you take​ the time to go on their website to learn about their story, you'll wish that you could give them 10. The owners (The Bellas family) and the servers genuinely​ seem happy to be there making sure that you are as well. They were some of the best breakfast spuds that I ever had! I enjoyed​ my eggs, and the multigrain toast was great but after seeing all of the awesome selections that the rest of my table made I wish I picked something else. My wife and I loved everything about this place during our visit this weekend. We live in a nearby town and came here since our local diner had a long wait. It was busy but seemed to be moving quickly, and I could tell right away the servers were hustling. The decor and design were clean, bright, and inviting. We ordered coffee, orange juice, a latte, a "big b" combo breakfast (pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon, fried potatoes), and a breakfast sandwich with prosciutto, eggs, a red pepper aoli-type sauce. All of it was excellent. I asked our server if their potatoes were good, since normally I find breakfast potatoes boring and sub in something else. She insisted I get them and she was absolutely right; turns out they cook them in a confit style (in their own fat, I think) then cook them again. Best potatoes I've ever had. We really liked the little story behind the business included in the menu (owned/run by a local family), and everyone working their seemed enthusiastic and happy to be there. Our server was great, and there was even a nice young guy with a big smile on his face who handed us the check and thanked us for coming (I think the owners' son). If I had to give any criticism/constructive feedback it'd be I wish the "big b" came with one extra pancake (even if at the expense of something else) since they were incredible.
