Had my first session with Jing today at Soul in Hands. Instant fan! I am 6'3" and 270lbs and really need deep tissue work. Jing expertly knew how to pace the pressure, moving her elbows or feet in deeper with each breath, opening up any bonded muscles and sinew nicely. She worked on my lower back trouble area and put me through some great stretching too. The spa is clean and tastefully decorated with gentle music playing. Where to start. I been to so many spa places around the world when I traveled for work or pleasure. Soul in Hands is the best I been too. Jing is so amazing at massaging my body. I have had back issues and surgeries over the past 7 years. Jing knows where and how to relieve the pain in those areas. I have had more than 5 massages from her and will continue to go there from now on. I recommend the full body massage for at least 1 hour. Just ask Jing the type of massage you your looking for and the area that is giving you some issues. She will suggest what she believes will help you. I always do the deep tissue massages. When Jing works on the back, neck and head, I am asleep almost all the time. She will do your arms, legs and feet. I feel so good afterwards. Stress and pain is gone and I am so relaxed. Jing your the best!! Last week I had 3 friends from the mainland and I told them about Jing. They were very skeptical about getting a massage. My boss was nice enough to hook me up with Annie at Soul in Hands - She greeted me at the door, cute and very nice little lady, the space was clean and minimal - no tacky overload of stuff that some places like to do. The bathroom was clean, you can take a shower after, there were rocks and real flowers in the bottom of the sink - for some reason that little touch made me really happy! The room was nice and shaded, she was super nice about me being a noob (an inexperienced person), and she suggested Swedish and suggested oil - she has MANY options! I just went with whatever she recommended and it was amazing! She checked in with me throughout and I didn't feel awkward about any of it, I was a puddle by the end. For beginners: she leaves you to undress - keep underwear bottoms on only, lay face down and cover yourself with the towel. She asked where to focus, and I said on my shoulders but still went all over, did my scalp and bottom too (I sit on my butt ALLLLLLL DAY). Afterwards you can take a shower, you can just leave the oil (very moisturizing!) or she'll wipe you with a hot towel (YAS). It was awesome, she's deceptively strong, I have no doubt if you're a large guy or athletic person, she's strong enough! She knows what she's doing. The music was calm, it was impeccably clean, there was no one else in the room so no sounds of anyone else. Plus such a sweet lady! LEGIT is how I would review Jing from Soul In Hands Massage and Spa. As a long time patron of different massage modalities I realize that everyone provides spa like environments, knowledge of the human anatomy and muscle groups, as well as friendly customer service. Jing sets herself apart with excellent communication, thorough manipulation of muscle groups with unbelievable strength and stamina for the entire session. After reading positive reviews in Yelp I called Jing to set up an hour appointment. Arrived at her Century Square location. All amenities available i.e. clean shower, spa like soothing environment, tranquil music, and clean fresh smelling sheets. She asked me if there were any problem areas and type and intensity of the massage I wanted. She was able to confirm the areas and thoroughly addressed it and then some. She does not cut corners on any muscle. Elbow to wrist, waist to ankle, scalp to lower back (all checks). Magical fingers, hands, and feet. The flow of my massage was very relaxing as well as euphoric. Ever have that pain that feels so good? That's how I can describe it. So of course there were many moments like this. The flow of my massage was very balanced and methodical i.e. left side of back/right side of back top to bottom--very thorough. I prefer firm, but at times she observed that she had to ease off a bit and did so seamlessly. I really enjoyed my massage session with Jing and scheduled another appointment with her for 1.5 hours 5 days later. Friendly and professional to sum it all up. Best deep tissue on the Island... Jing can go so deep that she literally sends shockwaves throughout my body every time those fingers or elbows hit bottom. So deep that I actually broke into a sweat from all the near convulsive like shaking I was doing. She asked "Too hard?" and I said "No your good". This spa is the perfect get away from your every day stressful life. Just a few blocks away from my suite in the city, I was very pleased with the mini location. I requested for a 60 minute combination relaxing /deep tissue massage. My therapist was so generous to give me 10 minutes of extra service, since it was my first time. She was very consistent with pressure and range of motion throughout the whole treatment. I was amazed by her skill and technique in applying various styles of massage in addition to her body stretch techniques. I have much experience in various types of Spas and have come to point this as one of my favorites. The place was very clean and appeared to be new. The ambiance was wonderful with perfect lighting,temperature, scent and music. The spa menu was very affordable and I was pleased and savored every minute of my treatment. I have been taking her therapeutic massage for over two years and know that I can expect to leave stress-free by her deep tissue techniques. Not many therapist know how to apply sufficient pressure to the correct points to relieve muscle tension and encourage healing. Jing puts her soul into the massage, which makes the biggest difference. Her dry massage technique and walking on your back and legs is not for the faint of heart.
