Wood chips with gravy drizzled on top ( dry pot roast )

You can get this free by going to your local park and grabbing a handful of wood chips and drenching them in gravy. The only thing edible was the macaroni. The greens were spicy if I wanted jerk greens I would've went to a Caribbean restaurant 0/10 for $40.00

Love the food here but I was thoroughly disappointed to analyze the menu today and for various reasons, decided to order the $17.99 catfish dinner but then the cashier rang up $22.99 catfish dinner. I get that prices are going up but put the condones on notice when the prices have changed. Especially such a vast difference.

Everything could be improved the billing system, the services the food . The atmosphere is okay. The manager is lacking knowledge of their product and why they bill a large % with no explanation behind it.

Lamb chops (medium) mashed potatoes and green beans with diced potatoes. Delicious

Excellent! They never disappoint. The lamb chops is perfection at Medium temperature .

I was super excited to try this place - I come to Tinley Park/Orland Park for concerts and other random things and it's nice to become familiar with some new restaurants. Came for a lovely weekday lunch and ENJOYED the foooddd immensely. Was were greeted kindly by the cashier who was very helpful in assisting us in our meal choice. I opted to try the grilled chicken plate, which came with 2 sides (chose rice + black beans) and garlic bread and I added a side of some pineapple/coconut cake. Lots of seating, good air conditioning, and everything looked updated. Food came was ready within 10 min of ordering and it was LOVELY. The grilled chicken plate is honestly what I have been looking for and one of my favorite meals I've had in recent months - sometimes, I want a good, simple plate and this WAS IT. The grilled chicken was tender but flavorful, the rice was fluffy and the black beans were not too salty (and the nice thing about this is you can add salt if you want more). And the best part of topping off the meal was CAKE!!! We went with pineapple/coconut - it was decent, possibly a little dry but I also don't eat pineapple/coconut cake often so this might be the way this particular cake comes. They have sooo many other dessert offerings, that I'll try another flavor next time. Also to mention - they randomly have a full bar/wine/beer. I didn't get drinks at this visit but possibly in the future. All in all, such a wonderful gem in Tinley Park and will be back when we are on that side of town!

I saw a friend post about S2 Express Grill and when I looked it up, I was glad to see a location within 15 minutes of my house. I went on a Sunday morning and although the hours indicated that it opened at 10am, the worker was running a few minutes late, so the restaurant wasn't actually open. I appreciated that she was super apologetic and moved really quickly. She was also very kind and even brought our food to the table we were seated at vs. calling us back to the counter. I ordered French toast, eggs scrambled with onions and cheese and bacon. The food was ready pretty quickly and it tasted great. Prices are reasonable and the available seating was nice and clean. My only recommendation is that if they know you are eating there, to have plastic disposable plates. All the food is prepared as if it's to go, so you're sitting at the table eating out of styrofoam/plastic containers and aluminum foil, which is a bit odd. Aside from that, it was a good experience and I'd definitely return.

Aftermath of the fried catfish with French fries.

The S2 Express Grill delivers excellent service and tasty food. The fried catfish is crispy and tender--perfectly cooked every time. Updating the egg roll wrap with a fresh twist could make it even more appealing! Don't mind my plate I'm picky..... solid 20/10

To be clear, the food is still great and the cooks continue to do an amazing job. The issue lately has been the service and overall experience, which unfortunately hasn't been the same over the last couple of months. The only consistency on the service side has been the Hispanic gentleman shucking the oysters ,he's always friendly, hardworking, and deserves recognition. I'm hoping things can get back to the way they used to be because this really was one of our favorite places.

SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT ... my friend and I selected The Primal Cut for our monthly girls night out…read more Our radar started to go up when our waitress seemed to not have the most inviting personality. Very dry ... very robotic... almost like... just give me your order so we can all go on with our lives. Shortly after placing our orders, the table next to us was seated with new customers. Our waitress waited on them as well. Being so close we could hear everything. What was most noticeable was how our waitress came to life for them. Initially I justified our waitress as just having a bad day. But when she became bright eyed, bubbly and conversational with them ... I went to the next, more obvious reason... seeing as how they were a party of 4 and we were a party of 2. The only other difference was - that table was white and we were black. Now our reservation was at 5:30pm. We were seated by 5:45pm as I was told that since my reservation specifically requested the "furthest booth from the entrance", they were still waiting for that table to become available. That was fine! Remember this - I requested a booth furthest from the entrance. It wasn't their idea. You'll see how this comes up later. We placed our order around 6pm. Could have been a little later. But I know for sure our main course didn't come out until 7pm. No complaints about the food on my end. But I do have a problem with being told when the bill comes that 1) there is a mandatory 18% gratuity added for parties of 2 and 2) there is a 3.5% fee for using your credit card. Neither of these stipulations were disclosed at the time the reservation was made. In fact, within the reservation confirmation email, there is a section that says "What to know before you go"... You know what it says? It says: " YOU ARE CONFIRMED. Thank you for choosing Primal Cut Steakhouse. Should your plans change, please let us know. We look forward to serving you." Nothing about the mandatory gratuity. Nothing about the 3.5% fee for using your credit card. After arriving home later that evening, I scoured through their website only to find these details were deeply embedded within their website. You have to click on "Menu" and then scroll ALL THE WAY DOWN to the end of the menu in order to find these details. This seems very deceptive. Something as important as this should be on the main page of their website. Especially within the Reservation Confirmation!! Customers should not be expected to read through the entire menu to find this out, or like us, find out once the final bill arrives. Something else I did not find on their website and wasn't included within our reservation confirmation was that you are only allowed 90 minutes to occupy your table/booth. Here's how we found out... By 8pm, who I believe to be the manager approached our table and asked how we enjoyed our meal. She then goes on to say "I know you ladies were chatting away, and that's why we gave you this booth so far away" ...(did you catch that... not that I requested it in my reservation)... She goes on to say "But each reservation is only valid for 90 minutes and we are getting backed up, and need to give this table to other customers... so if you wouldn't mind..." As mentioned earlier, the 90-minute seating time for our reservation was NOT disclosed beforehand. Not on their website (not that I can find), and not on the reservation confirmation. Keep in mind - even if that is their rule, it took an hour to get our main entrée. It was 7pm by then. By 8pm they were giving us the boot. Additionally, there were only 2 people waiting to be seated when we arrived. I didn't see a line, or a "back-up" as the Manager claimed. Needless to say, I believe this was very deceptive by not CLEARLY & OPENLY disclosing that 1) there is a mandatory 18% gratuity added for parties of 2, #2) there is a 3.5% fee for using your credit card and 3) Each reservation is only for 90 minutes. Regardless of the time your main entrée is served. If Financial Institutions and other establishments are required to be fully transparent and disclose their fees and stipulations around services rendered why wouldn't The Primal Cut?? After getting home and looking at other reviews, it seems other Brown and Black people have also experienced questionable treatment here as well... so this is nothing new... just not addressed. We all work hard for our money. For me, I'd rather spend it at an establishment that makes me feel like the prize and works hard to earn the money I've worked hard for and leaves me in eager anticipation of my next visit. I didn't get this here and will happily spend my money elsewhere.
