Completely worth every penny. I got a 10" sub for my trunk and had an issue with my car battery after 1 year which I replaced myself and couldn't figure out why the sub was cutting out intermittently. Thought it was the sub so I got a 12" to replace it and come to find out the + wasn't secure on the battery and was causing it to cut out. I thought I would be able to install a stereo myself. The stereo I ordered online came with no instructions. I called up and luckily they were able to squeeze me in. They were worried it might not work so they just installed it to see if it would work. It took a few tries but eventually they were successful. My van's stock DVD player busted & I was not about to drive around with kids in the back and no videos. This would surely lead to road rage some day. My next problem... I'm in grad school and I don't have time to give up my van too long and I certainly don't have time to make return visits to fix any bugs. However, anytime you buy after-market car audio/video there is a risk that it may not work perfectly because these are often custom installs. These are NOT do-it-yourself projects. The DVD unit we installed worked well but it lacked a feature that we assumed it offered. I did not have time to return immediately to replace it. I spoke with Dave and we agreed to do some research to find the right product for my needs. Because I was busy with school & life I didn't follow up for about 2 months. Once I got a chance to return to the shop I was worried that they would try to blow me off because of the time that had passed. Surprisingly, they didn't even hesitate to makes things right. In my younger days I dealt with many car stereo places and they often turned out to be very shady. This place is legit. They never jerked me around. I was looking for a car stereo that included a plug for my iPod. The tape deck connection was not working out so well. It kept reversing and then ejecting the tape. I was also looking for a place that would install the stereo system for me. The lowest end car stereo was $80 and for an extra $20 it included Bluetooth. I was quoted $100 for 1 hour of service, and returned the next day to have it installed. The stereo is great; it includes a USB and auxiliary port. I can just plug in my iPod, and the stereo does the rest. The iPod starts playing after I turn the ignition, and the iPod stops after I turn the car. The staff at Sounds Good to Me was friendly and helpful. After the stereo was installed, the installer set up the Bluetooth on my phone and showed me how it worked. read more

Exchanged a few messages back forth with Dave, I explained what I wanted he he gave me a price. Warned me that depending on the vehicle's current setup it might be a little more than expected and gave me the additional estimated cost. I dropped it off at 830 and found him to be incredibly pleasant and straightforward. Called me to make sure the added cost was still alright due to the additional maintenance that was required and after he got the go ahead called me back to let me know it was done. Had one of the technicians show my wife how to pair her phone with blue tooth and we were all set. His honesty and straightforwardness was very refreshing in an era where everyone is trying to screw everyone else over. Would take another vehicle to them in a heartbeat. read more

Outstanding customer service and support. I had a Volvo C70 from 2006 and the now obsolete 6CD radio was integrated into the entire digital readout system that controlled AC, etc. I wanted to update the stereo to use bluetooth for my iPhone and other current get smart phones. Unfortunately, even when I went to Volvo directly they said there was not system on the market that could work with my system and in 10 years since it had been on the market they had never seen it work with BT. I went to another after market car installation place in Mesa and they said that their manager wouldn't let them touch European cars for that reason -- too complex and too likely of a chance of a mess up... but if I stood a chance they told me, I should try "Sounds Good To Me" in Tempe. Enter Mark from Sounds Good to Me who after taking my late night call 15 minutes before he was set to close he said, "Come on by and let's take a look." He went on line over the next day or so, doing his own research, and called me to say, "I have never done this but there is a system I found that looks like it might work but its the only one out there. Want to try it?" I did. Mark priced it fairly and within a week he ordered the system and reconfigured my Volvo with a system by Grom. I was thrilled. Unfortunately within a few weeks I had some glitches. I called Grom directly and they sent me the necessary software upgrade to solve my issues. I tried and it failed resulting in the sound no longer working. So I called Mark again. He said, "Bring it in and next time don't waste your time as we can work those issues out for you. It's my day off tomorrow so I have some free time to work out the bugs." Which he did and now its better than new. My only wish is that I could duplicate this level of service and commitment to the customer within my own company. To say these guys are the best among their peers, if not peers far outreaching their own business segment, is a huge understatement. read more

n June of 2018 I took my 2010 Impala in to have a system consisting of 2 Jl Audio W7's, 2 1000/1 v2s and I purchased the high end Alpine mids and tweets, Alpine high end head unit, and a small alpine amp and I paid for them to install everything. I had to rent a car for 4 days because I had to leave my vehicle at the shop (understandably) but when it was time for me to pick up my car they were not done due to having (a big job) that had to be completed so I had to wait yet another day and pay for the additional time on my rental. Upon arriving to pick up my car I had engine noise so I had to bring my car back yet again and then was told that I had a short in one of my amps and one of my 12's was blown. This equipment was in perfectly working condition when I took it there I assure you. So I sent in both amplifiers And the 12" to JL to the tune of $795. And when I took my car back to have it all installed I was rushed into my car, listened to the music for a minute and on my way I went. One week later the engine noise came back and for the past year I have just lived with it because I felt like I was rushed in and out the door with the absolute worst customer service I have ever received in my entire life and there was no way I was going to have them fix it after what they put me through. The last couple of weeks the engine noise has increased to a level that is intolerable so I took my car to another car audio store in town and was told that when Sounds good to me installed my extra battery they didn't connect the front battery to the car AT ALL. This whole time my car has been running off of the stereo battery in the rear which is why my lights have been dimming this entire time. In addition the engine noise that has been growing louder and louder is from a bad ground on one of my 1000/1v2's which now has to be sent back to JL for repair yet again for $230 of no fault of mine. No I have not reached out to Sounds good to me and why would I? I would rather pay someone who is competent to fix my car with care than have the same people who wasted much of my time and money to go back in and ATTEMPT to fix their problem. The wiring disaster that was shown to me by the new installing company was UNBELIEVABLE! They used 4 gauge wire from the front of my car to the back and there were splice jobs taped together along the way.The friend who recommended this place to me is not only going to pay for my car to be fixed the correct way but also will be putting in a $ 10k plus system in his new car and it won't be at Sounds Good To Me. I would tell anyone reading this BUYER BEWARE. I feel like I was rushed in and out of this place, taken advantage of and couldn't even got my system tuned when it was "completed" because I wasn't their top paying customer at that particular time. Do your homework people and heed my warning. This place does not care about the quality of work they provide AT ALL. They just want to take your money and rush you in and out the door and it's on to the next sucker. read more

This is my second time coming here. The first time I came here to have an Auxiliary jack put in my older car, since older vehicles do not have them. This time I needed to replace my auxiliary jack in my other car. Both times that I have been here, I was treated like I was the most valuable customer. Their customer service and friendliness is incredible, and the BEST part yet is their pricing. I got an estimate from a shop closer to where I work for an estimate to replace my auxiliary jack for my newer car; they told it would cost about $300. Love this place!! Ever since I walked in to tell them I wanted to fix the wiring in my speakers and sub mark immediately walked out to check it out and told me exactly what needed to be done. They didn't bull crap me like many places that are looking to make more money, I'm a 19 year old girl that just wanted my sound to be better in my car and they did everything possible to get straight to it with a very reasonable price. My speakers sounded way better after I tried to put them in myself, corrected all my mistakes, and I went in a second time to get a new deck. I definitely had the worst experience here, I don't know where to begin. I had purchased a deck and window tinting. So let's start with the deck issues, I dropped my car off, got it installed and was just glad to have Bluetooth because I had an older car. Well the next day I try to play the radio and it was just staticky, so I called them and brought it in the following weekend and they didn't hook up my antenna correctly, so I got it back and that seemed fine. About a week later I started to mess with the settings and I noticed my back speakers weren't working so I called back they couldn't get me in for about 1 1/2 weeks - 2 because they we booked, so I took it in and they fixed that. After that the deck started to just go off randomly so this is about 2 months+ after the purchase were I had enough and just took it to another dealer to fix it and they found a wire short, and they also connected my steering wheel controls which sounds good to me said couldn't be done. Next the tinting I don't recommend going thru here because if You have an issue your pretty much on your own with dealing with it. They use an installer that is not part of the company. So I got my windows done and didn't open them for a week to let everything settle and the bubbling was out of control and this is all around the same time as the deck issues were happening because I got them done the same day. Well took me about 2 - 2 1/2 months to get the windows fixed which the job was sufficient but not great. This company has good reviews so maybe I was a 1 off but all I recommend is don't put all your eggs in one basket, if your getting audio just stick to that. read more

No hype, just straight talk at Sounds Good To Me. I wanted something nice and was actually under-sold originally. No pressure to "buy now." Mark was knowledgeable and offered great advice and options for various budgets. The install team was flawless! My car was 3 days old when I took it in and they treated it with kid's gloves. I went with a full JL Audio setup, from the 5 channel amp, components in front and coax in back to the 8" sub in the trunk. Sounds great and looks slick. Not impressed! Scratched the metal dash where they drilled for the alarm armed light, excessive use of gorilla glue on the plastic dash as they broke the the clips and then drove 1" self tappers through a perfectly good plastic wheel arch to secure the annunciator rather than put it onto the bulkhead where there was plenty room. After speaking to the person in charge they did offer to take it to a paint shop next door to fix the scratch. Which I didn't take them up on,I was pretty ticked on the day and then felt worse after I noticed the other issues when I got the truck home.i personally won't be back nor would I recommend them. I write this review because I want others not to make the same mistake I made. I went to Sounds Good To Me on 5/16/2015 to get speaker upgrade. I guess (not 100% sure lol) that I got speakers with better sound quality. Dave, Mark and Matt were nice, look attentive etc. But I was disappointed later after learning that the pricing was scam. It was presented to me as a very fair price, & that I even got discount. I have no one to blame but myself. I didn't do my homework when it comes to pricing. My advice for you: please do your homework , trust but verify. I trusted but didn't verify. I was wrong!!! Their price was so unfair and I ended up paying more (for speakers and installation) than I should. Do your homework. Don't make the same mistake I did. Stay blessed! read more

I don't usually waste my time with these things but I felt the need to tell you all about Sounds Good To me. I have been a customer of SGTM for some time even back in the days at Mill and Broadway. My daughter needed a new stereo so like always it was off to see Mark and the crew. We needed something new for a 99 Explorer. Take note of vehicle. Not only did the guys treat my teenager as if she was there buying a million dollar system. In a million dollar car. It was just a new receiver. They helped get some wiring issues fixed as well as saying we need to turn the subs this way for better sound and literally checked out all the wiring that the previous owner just slapped in. The install and workmanship is outstanding and Mark and the guys customer service by far the best. Took my car in to have my amp reinstalled, was quoted for about $75, got a call a couple hours later saying it was "all done" but that he wanted to tap the line out converter to a different location. They charged me for a whole other amp installation to do this. so at this point, all they had done was move an rca cable and put in a line out converter and i'm up to $135 out of pocket. I didn't discover the lack of anything actually being done til i was doing some more stereo work and found the newly installed line out converter that they put in without asking me (the one that was already installed in the vehicle still works perfectly fine.) I would avoid this place unless you enjoy paying rediculous prices for minimal work. read more

The worst place I've ever been to. I got quoted one price just to have a auxiliary cord replaced my cord had a short in it . When I came back the next day to have the work done I was then given a 20 dollar higher price.. I paid the amount just to avoid drama and I was going to take it as a lesson learned. Well the next day my whole radio cut out. When I called the store to tell them of my complaint I also mentioned how I know they over charged me and now my radio isn't working what kind of place was this ? The Maneger apologized and offered to give me a refund! For the difference I was quoted . Well I went in the next day to have it looked at and to my surprise the Maneger wasn't there but he knew what time I was coming in he wrote it in the book himself.. One of his partners apparently knew about the refund but said that he wasn't authorized to do so ? So not only did I drive way down here but he mentioned e would have the Maneger call me when he got back because he went on lunch .. Let's just say I never got a call back and this place I feel was ran by people who didn't know what they where doing.
