I have a Nissan Pathfinder 2017 with a build in DVD player. I took it to Nissan because one of the monitors stopped working. It is an original player and it was NOT covered by the warranty. They told me I had to get a new system. I decided to get a second opinion and brought my car to Tony expecting to have to pay for a new DVD system and Tony checked the cables and fixed it in no time. He recommended that if one of the monitors stop working again he could rewire instead of replacing the system. Hands down the most honest person!!!

If I could give them -5 stars I would. I brought my boat in to get the tower speakers looked at because they were cutting in and out, and $1000 later 4 new speakers, and two new amps, I still don't have a working system. I find out from Audio Express that Stereo City connected everything with electrical tape. They took advantage of me because I am a woman and they claimed that things were broken which were not. The owner Tony denies everything and was not willing to apologize or provide any explanation. I went there to get the problem solved and am instead having to post this review. They checked it out and claimed that two were blown and I needed a new amp. I asked them to check the wiring throughout the tower but they said that was not the issue. After paying the first $500 I took my boat out and had the same issue - tower speakers cut in and out. Took it back, they replaced all 4 speakers and provided a new amp on them. Another $500 later I took it out again and had the same problem. Took it back, and they claimed they wanted to rewire the whole boat. I promptly left and said I would take it elsewhere. Audio express later tells me wiring is loose, speaker wiring isn't tight, the amp they gave me is not marine trade but instead a low grade car stereo amp, and they connected speaker wires with electrical tape and are basically burning from the inside. They did not use the proper marine grade connectors or sell me a marine grade amp like they claimed. I called Stereo Sh*tty and they denied everything. Tony is a liar and a crook. All he could offer me was $100 off my next purchase there, yet WHY would I ever purchase anything ever again? STAY AWAY from Stereo City everyone!

Soundqubed HDC3 10" & Hifonics Brutus 2400w amp

These guys are awesome. I purchased a subwoofer/amp setup from a buddy of mine this morning, and COULD NOT find a shop that was open to install it (Sunday). I called dozens of places. I get ahold of Stereo City, and am told, "Head on down, we'll get it taken care of." And take care of it, they did. Guys in the shop are super friendly, work was completed in about an hour, and was not expensive. I've never had a better experience at a car audio shop. Fuck Audio Express, take your car to these people. Thank you guys!

I honestly have nothing bad to say. I brought my truck in because my speakers weren't working but my sub was. They immediately got to working on it and found the issue within 15Min. They even looked into another small problem I was having with my reverse camera and gave me a solution. I'll definitely be coming back when I'm ready to add more to my sound system. I had Stereo city install a stereo in which I believe they overcharged me, but besides that, my vehicle started having starting issues in which I never had before. Nissan told me that it was an aftermarket installation issue, so I took it to the stereo guys, and they told me that it wasn't their installation that was causing the issue and they tried charging me $100. (But they said I wouldn't have to pay anything if it was something they did and had to fix it) ! The guy literally yelled at me on the phone and they weren't to blame and I owed him '100! I said NO! So he said he was going to put it back the way it was at the 'no starting" . I've had it back a week and I haven't had an issue since, so if it wasnt their installation being the cause, why is it starting just fine now?! Cuz they tapped into a wiring harness, voiding the warranty, and it WAS causing the issue, (and lied about it) fixed it and tried charging me for it (after they said if it was their fault i wouldnt have to pay for it) Im starting to wonder if I should have had it installed someplace else because they say they warranty their work, but I had to pull teeth and get yelled at just to get my vehicle working again. Came down to get my subwoofers installed and took no longer than an hour and haven't had any issues and the install was clean, no loose panels, no fire hazards, and the wires were hidden perfectly! They also worked with me on a deal for a stereo aswell! read more

Can't say enough good things about this place. I thought I had completely screwed up my car by installing some audio equipment wrong and messing with the wiring, stereo city let me bring my car in to see what happened....got me in right away...and charged me a very fair price to completely redo everything. They were able to re wire and install all of the stuff I had in like an hour and a half. Super honest people (which is hard to find in any car related business). Will be coming back. read more

Read all the 1 star reviews. The owner is SCAMMING. I paid $1000 for an install screen and backup camera, and it stopped working weeks in, they didn't want to fix and said it was "past warranty" && later found this same system for not even halfffff the price. Don't go to this place 0/10. read more

Never ever visit here, this place is a SCAM! I took my car there to fix my radio, and the guy took my key and drove it where they fix the car, they destroyed my brake lights because he did something with fuse IDK, and so much to say!!! Later the owner told me they have to replace the whole fucking monitor to get the radio working, he just wants to sell his product!!! Avoid this place! read more

Needed to fix a subwoofer problem. Checked all the fuses and they were fine. So we took the car in and they said there's a small charge to find the problem. Within a few minutes they determined it was a blown out speaker. They upsold me from a Kenwood to a Kicker to a Rockford Fosgate subwoofer. They didn't charge me the inspection price since I bought the speaker. We were in and out within 30 minutes. They even adjusted the settings on the amp. They said it was an old school amp that could handle two 12" woofers. I had one 10". I would go back in the future for other business. read more

Definitely need too get This Spot ON THE MAP Kamal was looking out for me Big Time! I came in with my 03 BMW Z4 and he found the problem (Bad AMP) within minutes. We decided on Rocksford Fosgate for the replacement. He also noticed that the door speakers weren't fully working. So I rolled out at the end of the day with a full set of the best (Rocksford Fosgate) speakers an amp for under retail! Great Audio spot definitely recommended! read more

CRAPPY INSTALLATION DO NOT LET THEM TOUCH YOU CAR! The 1 star is for good prices. Minus 4 stars for shoddy install quality and for trying to charge me $30 to fix your crappy install: IF YOU SEE GOOD REVIEWS ANYWHERE ON THE INTERNET IS BECAUSE THEY GIVE %15 DISCOUNT FOR GOOD REVIEWS!!! Had an alarm head unit, midrange, speakers and amp installed Nov 2018. The amp install had the power wire installed improperly thru the firewall, returned to have that fixed. The head unit has a bad RCA bass connector, they blamed it on my cable however, I checked it myself and found the female connector on the head unit to be faulty. Then the alarm started acting up, not arming/disarming so I came back again but the unit started working again so I was told by the owner "no problem, if it happens again, bring it back and we'll fix it no problem." I returned on 20 Mar 2019 with the alarm INOPERABLE, the sales dude called The owner on the phone and I was told that He said it would cost $30 to fix I took the phone and told The owner he'd promised me "no problem, if it happens again, bring it back and we'll fix it no problem." He started quoting me what was on the back of the receipt about 3months bla, bla, bla and said I'd have to pay $30. YOU GUYS installed 4 products in my ride, 3 had PROBLEMS... I trusted you and I got 3 problematic installs. I gave you the benefit of the doubt each time and I got crapped on by you. SHITTING ON YOUR CUSTOMERS FOR $30 IS NO WAY TO GROW YOUR BUSINESS THERE ARE ENOUGH GOOD INSTALLERS AROUND, JUST STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS, DONT GET SCREWED. read more

This shop does fuckin wonders. I have a 2015 Chevy Silverado. So one of the newer vehicles with all that extra wiring. They did the whole thing from the stereo to the amp the the subs in 4 hours. Great pricing and very reasonable. They will help go over what you need if you don't know. And the setup and tuning of the subs and amp is fuckin phenomenal. Great shop. read more

These guys are truly honest. They a new system in my son's Passat and my wife's Pilot. Both installs werej very clean and at a great price. My wife's amp stopped working after 3 weeks. They replaced the amp and box for free, upgrading her system. They will do whatever it takes to make their customers happy. It's awesome to see a business that will back up their promise. read more

Unless you drive a car that has a broken sound system, you should never visit this place for an upgrade. They don't know how to remove the original sound system properly and will damage your original stereo. read more

Sold me an "open box" Kicker loaded enclosure. Turns out what was supposed to be a Kicker Comp R 4 ohm DVC wired to 2 ohms. Was the correct speaker but wired to only one voice coil and reinstalled in the box with the wrong hardware in new poorly drilled holes. Guess why only one coil was hooked up; yep the other was blown. Avoid this shop! read more

Im total i paid $940 a new stereo and speakers with a new keyless entry alarm system and they fixed my door. The stereo has a gap around it where you can see the wires, they but my Bluetooth in the dashboard where the sun can mess it up, they installed my stereo messing up the back of the steering wheel panel, when i got my keyless entry alarm they didnt even hook to remote up to the trunk. read more

The technician created a basic workaround to get my DS18 BTC-Five Bluetooth receiver working via…read moreaux, but the setup was incomplete and poorly wired. After the install: I lost power to my 12V lighter socket, so I couldn't charge my phone. He mostly likely tapped into the same circuit as the lighter socket, causing power loss (Yeah. He didn't warn me about that before the install!) The audio was also making intermittent Bluetooth pairing failures. I would be driving and then music would stop and start again. Bluetooth phone calls stopped working--only music streamed. The install skipped key components I provided, including the fuse tap, LOC, and amp integration What I learned--and what others should know: The 3.5mm aux jack on the BTC-Five is audio-only and doesn't support calls To restore full functionality, the fuse tap must be moved to a different ACC slot so the lighter circuit isn't interrupted. For Bluetooth calls, you need to use the BTC-Five's RCA outputs and route them through a head unit or amp that supports hands-free calling. If I had known all this upfront, I probably would've skipped the install entirely and just kept using my regular USB-C to 3.5mm Audio Aux Cable Adapter. It was simpler, reliable, and didn't disable anything in my car. No wonder the guy had a weird vibe! I would have given them 5 stars if they had wired correctly, but the job was rushed and sloppy. He didn't create a solution. He created a problem! Now I'm going to have to get my brother to help me fix this. He said the tech most likely installed the tap with only one fuse (for the BTC-Five). Or inserted it backwards, cutting off power to the original circuit. Or used a single-slot tap, which reroutes power entirely to the new device. This experience taught me how to reclaim my install and turn shortcuts into teachable upgrades. If you're integrating amps or planning full audio control, skip the aux hack and wire it properly. I wasn't impressed with this install. What a total waste of money!!!!!!

The Lexus 460's are notoriously cantenkerous for partial upgrades and compatiability with existing electonics. I have rarely received such outstanding customer service! Every single associate from the desk to the installer treated myself and my old car as if it were the only one there. Although they were busy, they still were able to work the repair into the schedule for that day. The repair was completed in less than an hour and the work was excellent. It looks as though it is new! The installer even reprogrammed the radio (which is not easy on this unit). The price was super-reasonable as well. I could not be more pleased!

I didn't expect this level of service, especially since I had walked in without an appointment. Jose, the technician, installed the tint within less than an hour! I still had $65 left on my gift card, and the staff suggested that I go to the showroom down the street to see if I could find a phone case or something else of a smaller amount. I considered going, but I knew that I wouldn't be back in deep Mesa again as I'm from South Scottsdale. So, I decided to check it out! I was met with the most enthusiastic, welcoming, coolest glasses I've ever laid eyes on -wearing Guy named Scotty karate! I told him about my small amount left over on my gift card and with NO hesitation he started pulling things in that dollar amount! He didn't try to upsell me on anything or once again treat me any differently because I had a smaller dollar amount! After insisting, I was told they would call me when parts became available, but the overall experience felt unhelpful and lacking in communication--especially for something as important as a recall that already has an official fix released. I hope they improve their process for handling recall appointments and customer follow-up.

This company is worthless. The only great thing they do is steal your money. They have been reported to Better Busines Bureau for their poor service and horrible customer service. The owner Tony is a crook and business should be shut down. They claim they have experience in stereo install, but my 15 year old nephew can do better.. Check your installation if you recently got work down here. My stereo system was installed with Zip ties and electric tape. read more
