I came here for the first time with my parents, and let me tell you my parents are really picky and hard to please but they absolutely LOVED their sandwiches. My mom had the tuna salad sandwich and my dad and I had the garlic pesto turkey sandwich. It was the most delicious sandwiches we have ever had. I really was not happy with their version of the "Greek" salad. The romaine lettuce for my Greek salad was not enjoyable at all. There were no olives in it either. The clam chowder was good, but the sourdough wasn't as impressive as West Coast Sourdough and Company off Automall Parkway in Fremont. The staff was ok here; they seemed stressed, but were doing their best to stay poised. I give them that because I came to order during the lunch rush across from Fremont Kaiser. Parking here is not easy either. So this would not be my "go-to" for my clam chowder experience. read more

Finally got to check this place out, and I'm so glad I did! The staff was super friendly and welcoming right from the start. We tried the Italian flatbread and the grilled chicken Caesar salad. The flatbread was really good flavorful, light, and the perfect size. It looks big in photos, but it's actually pretty thin, so you don't end up feeling overly full. The Caesar salad was fresh and tasty, though I personally wish it had regular croutons instead of the sourdough bread pieces they use. Not really my thing, but others might like the twist! I'd definitely come back to try their sandwiches next time. Only downside is the parking, it's mostly street parking near apartments, so finding a spot can take a bit. I love being able to walk toward the Fremont downtown area and find good eats. Sourdough & Co. is right across from Kaiser, a few shops down from Starbucks. Easy to get to if you're in Central Fremont. It's a quick turn off Walnut. If you're hankering for a good sandwich, soup or salad, this just might be my favorite spot right now for such things in this city. The Creamy Tomato soup is the best I've tried around here. The sandwiches are solid. The salads are fresh. The Mac & cheese is just your standard, nothing out of this world, but sometimes you just need Mac & cheese in your day. Their sourdough bread just might be one of my faves. A bit of snap on the outside and soft on the inside. Perfect! I absolutely love the Cholula Chicken Sandwich with garlic pesto at Sourdough Co! The food is always delicious and fresh. Disclaimer: I ordered for pickup an hour before they closed... Order: Turkey Sandwich and Clam Chowder. The Clam Chowder was chunky which I already assumed Id get whatever was left in the pot, all good. The sandwich was messy like one bite and everything falls out. Bread was soft. Everything overall was tasty. I spent $20 overall and dont think its worth it for a sandwich/soup meal. Mind you i ordered the smallest sandwich size and you do get a drink. If youre craving one over the other, then sure. I also can the crispy crunchy chicken, Carved Chicken marinated in Ranch Dressing. House Spread, Crispy Tortilla Chips and Onion Mix, Lettuce, Tomato, Monterey Jack Cheese. I ordered a 6-inch roast beef sandwich with extra meat (an additional $3 since it's $1 per ounce). I also made it a meal and requested extra pickles. However, I was disappointed that the extra pickles I asked for were not added to the sandwich but instead placed on the side, and I was also charged 50 cents for them. Now that I know, I'll make sure to clarify next time. My main concern is with the pricing. My total came out to about $22 and some change for the sandwich, and when I reviewed everything at home and compared it to the menu pricing, it seemed like I was charged about $2 more than expected. It's not about the $2 it's about the principle. I value transparency and honesty, especially if I plan to return as a regular customer. I also didn't receive an itemized receipt, which made it difficult to understand where the extra charge came from. When I asked, I was shown the screen briefly, but it wasn't easy to review. I strongly recommend providing itemized receipts, especially upon request, so customers can clearly see what they are being charged for. I don't mind paying extra for add-ons like additional meat I just want to feel confident that I'm being charged correctly. I really enjoy the food here and would love to keep coming back, but I hope these issues can be improved moving forward, because if not, I wouldn't feel comfortable feeling like I'm being overcharged. read more

That was impossible. We don't have a DoorDash account and they don't have our address. You're telling me you can make the order then have DoorDash pick it up within 5 minutes, ridiculous. It was a pick up. So, your employee on the phone was lying. We waited just in case DoorDash showed up. They didn't. We called back to try and place the order again for a pick up . We called back 3 times and nobody picked up the phone. We placed our order an hour before you closed. We ended up ordering sushi around the corner. Guess what? It went smoothly. Looks like when I want a sandwich I'm going back to Ike's. I hope we don't end up with a charge from your establishment because we never received our food. I ordered from Uber EATS to try out this new sandwich shop called Sourdough and Co. that opened at Civic Center Drive in Fremont. Sandwiches are a little cheaper, and made a lot of preferred options. Food menu has a variety of selections of hot and cold sandwiches, salads but only New England Clam chowder is available. I ordered the 6" pastrami reuben with house spread on marble rye, a bowl of New England clam.chowder, and an 8" Beef brisket with housebread, BBQ sauce, cheddar and pepper jack on toasted sourdough.When my order was delivered, the bread that came with the pastrami reuben was the wrong bread, and they prepared it on sourdough. They don't follow according to customers requests. The soup options are limited to 1 which is pretty sad but still delicious. The house spread was too tangy,the sandwiches was not good. I consider it a 2.9. The amount of meats are 1 oz, sourdough is chewy and not proofed enough. There's a lot of improvements to be made here. Food menu is 3.5/5. I ordered on a rainy, stormy weather to get hot sandwiches and soup. What I got is a sloppy sandwiches!that were not toasted, not enough meat but gave you the right requests of pepperoncinis, cheeses and sauce. But they sacrificed on preferred customer requests on bread choices, and amount of meat wasn't enough. This is a franchisee. Don't be fooled as is not the same as West Coast Sourdough and Co. I go to Sourdough & Co and I must say Omar who owns this particular location has the KINDEST customer service I have ever witnessed in my entire life. He owns this location with his family but he makes you feel like family as his customer. The place is always emaculately clean and he and his staff truly treat people with an abundant of respect you end of feeling happy when you leave. Their veggie flat bread is so fresh and their cookies are warm and soft and melt in your mouth!! Plus the sandwiches and clam chowder are also 10/10!!!
