Had a weird experience. Almost made me tip them a fifty dollar tip on 44 meal. I was initially flabbergasted as I had to input on the touchscreen which was odd. That receipt was then canceled. Then the second go round I was able to input the correct amount of tip through the keypad. The workers seemed tense for whatever reason, but I'm glad they calmed down and got to doing. They do a really great job when they do what they do by making great sandwiches. Which is why I visited. Good sandwiches. Keep it going. I think I got a Jake and a Mrs. Kind of got caught up in the moment. Anyways... An odd experience read more

I was just passing by and come here randomly? I have seen Mr Pickle shops in SF and never been inside one myself. I must mention I didn't have any issues with the staff, they must of fixed this issue properly. I was only met with kindness and suggestions. I picked the Miss Pickles Sandwich which appeared to be a bit of a small sandwich despite the price? Taste wise it's not bad, it's just not really anything special. If anything I found it more expensive than what I have tried in the past at different joints. I can't really say much since this appears to be a go to place for employees on their lunch hour. The food is all right, nothing to write home for? Nice touch including a cookie in every sandwich, I respect that kind of notion. read more

Went to Mr. Pickle this past weekend after running errands and wasn't sure what to expect since it's been a while. I ordered the Mr. Pickle with the Works and a Mrs. Pickle, both on Dutch crunch. The sandwiches were packed definitely not stingy on toppings. The bread was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and every bite was super flavorful. Staff was friendly and fast, and the cookie at the end is always a nice touch. Definitely coming back. You can't go wrong with Mr. Pickle! read more

Came here to get a quick bite to eat while my daughter had a tutoring session in the area. This was my first time eating here and I definitely enjoyed the sandwich I got. I ordered the Baja Cheesesteak on a Sammie Sourdough bread. Although the sandwich was a bit smaller than I expected for the price, the sandwich was really good and also very toasty. Will definitely be coming back again and trying a different sandwich next time :) read more

Soo disappointed! I told the clerk several times No onions! I get home & before I unwrap the package I can smell the onions. A refund of the drink and chips would be nice. Sandwiches were not made with the extra items purchased. And the combo order was missing Cheeto chips and cookie. It seems like this Newark location does not follow the standard training like Mr Pickle's Union City. read more

I came here for lunch. The customer service was good. The location and spot is very average. I have been going to this shopping center for years and never knew this was a sandwich shop. The ambiance is ok. The prices are ok as well. I got me a turkey and cheese sandwich on Dutch crutch. The sandwich was great. Bread was nice and soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. The veggies and turkey were full of flavor. I would come back if I'm in the area. read more

The employees are always friendly. The restaurant is always clean. The food is fresh. Ordering online is a fail 100% of the time. I don't know why I continue to try. The sandwiches are NEVER prepared correctly. I'm disappointed every time. I think it's because of the backwards ordering (selecting what I DON'T want). I think it's because it's not as obvious what I DO want that they miss something every single time. They're always busy so waiting in line is a pain. I guess it's a trade off. read more

I'm here daily I love this place, but idk what I did... they have one staff member that is ALWAYS rude to me. Dirty looks as soon as I walk In. Like maybe she thinks I'm someone else.... Might be safer for me to go to Togo's read more

Love mr. pickles soooo much. Nothing beats their super crunchy Dutch crunch bread. Their garlic sauce is my favorite and it brings out soooo much flavor in my sandwich. I always get the Italian with extra garlic sauce and it hits every time. You're in and out the store if you're ordering inside, but it's nice if you order pickup on DoorDash since it's pretty convenient. I love how they give you a cookie too :) read more

2nd chance for redemption thanks to colleagues and I will say this time around was a much better experience. Ordered with DoorDash during the Happy Hour period so 30% off which is what made me even want to try again. Glad I did. The Italian on a French roll. read more

Had heard about the place a lot, but was strictly ok! Tried the Mr pickle chicken sandwich without the bacon, and felt very regular tasting and not special to write on this. read more

Mr Pickle's sandwich shop is well priced and has the absolute best salad! I'm not entirely sure what it is, but I loved the salad and will definitely be back for another one soon. As for the sandwiches and the pickles, they're not as good as the Mr Pickles sandwich shop in San Mateo/RWC. The BLT there packs in the bacon and is extra crispy. The pickles there are also better and crisp. I don't think I would reorder sandwiches from this specific location. I'm not sure if they source pickles separately, but the pickles at this location were limp with a hard and tough exterior skin. If you're looking for a good salad, this is a great option! read more

If I could leave zero stars, I would. After a bad experience at another Mr. Pickle's location, I was issued a coupon by corporate for a free sandwich -- with clear instructions that it could be redeemed at any location of my choice. I decided to give Mr. Pickle's another shot by visiting their Newark, CA location. It turned out to be an even bigger mistake. When I tried to redeem the coupon, the employee immediately became rude, falsely claimed I had to go back to the original store, and treated me like I was trying to scam them. I remained polite and calm the entire time, but instead of fixing the situation, the staff doubled down and humiliated me in front of other customers. When I pulled out my phone to document their behavior, the employee's attitude got even worse -- and yes, I have the entire disgusting interaction on video. The level of unprofessionalism, lack of training, and complete disregard for customer service at Mr. Pickle's is beyond unacceptable. It's clear this isn't just a one-time issue -- it's a pattern with their brand. Mr. Pickle's has permanently lost my business, and I highly recommend everyone stay far away from this chain. They don't respect customers, they don't honor their own offers, and they clearly don't train their staff properly. Spend your hard-earned money somewhere that values basic decency -- because Mr. Pickle's in Newark, CA certainly doesn't. read more

Short and sweet. The store is clean and neat. Sandwiches seem to be made cleanly as well. The staff was nice and friendly, welcoming. My wife really enjoyed her Listen Linda and my Fast Eddy was pretty good too. They both came with a cookie (which our sons will definitely take) Our biggest nitpick is the price. It's essentially a sit down restaurant price to take and go. The value just isn't there for me. But this location is good and if you love Mr Pickles, I'd say definitely come to this location. read more

I agree this place was good However something changed the last few months The lettuce look like it came out of a dumpster it was so wilted So I agree depending on the sandwich maker you probably need to babysit it while you order in store Otherwise use the app is not consistent or greasy So poor i don't even go here anymore Made a complaint was told manager/ would get back to me which never happened I don't have another Mr pickles nearby Not an option anymore read more

Oh no Mr. Pickle's. What happened? I paid $18 for a large sandwich including tip and they skimped on everything especially the meat. This was supposed to be a large. The bread was large but everything else was not. I'm so disappointed. This was my place during COVID and anytime I was able to work from home. Maybe it is the dinner crew because I would usually go for lunch. But either way, a large sandwich should be large. There were so few things between the bread that the top and bottom bread were almost touching. I thought it could be an anomaly but seeing the reviews makes me so sad. We would totally look forward to a Mr. Pickles sandwich. Our relatives would be excited when we bring sandwiches. The staff was awesome and knew me by name. Paying $16 for a sandwich is a treat and for what I received, it was sad. I may try lunch but have my doubts. read more

Parking was plentiful and easy to find. Noise level was average. The interior is clean and spacious. He staff were friendly and were glad to take my order. I ordered the Got beef (5/5): the Dutch crunch bread was really good. Like it's name it was quite crunchy. The balance of meat was perfect. Lots of cheese and lettuce. I do wish there were more tomatoes though. Still a really good sandwich. The free cookie is also a nice touch. I thoroughly enjoyed the cookie too. It was crispy and chewy. Google/Apple Pay is accepted. Overall Mr. Pickles is a great sandwich store. I would definitely come back here. read more

This location used to be very good pre-covid, but since then its been sub par. The last few time I went I ordered through the app and I still had to wait. It would have been better had I just gone and ordered my sandwich in the store. All the previous reviews are correct about this place. Over priced, slow service, not enough protein, barely any avocados/(protein) when paying a premium for them, and not following the modifications. This will be the last time I go to Mr. Pickles! Now that Ike's in Fremont is open, I'd rather go there if I'm paying for an over priced chain restaurant sandwich. read more

I ordered a turkey sandwich on Dutch crunch bread. It was pretty good. I had two cheeses. They were getting ready to close but helped me anyway. The sandwich alone was $14.00 Chips was $2.69 for a small bag. It was very expensive for a sandwich & chips. read more

Had a great sandwich here for lunch yesterday. This is also a great place to stop by to pick up a sandwich on the way for a bike ride on the Dumbarton bridge. I ordered a large italian combo on Dutch crunch with everything on it. Oh my, the bread was so fresh and crunchy. Just loved it!! The staff is also so friendly! They also gave me a free chocolate chip cookie! And the sandwich stayed dry even on our bike ride to the Coyote Regional park for a picnic lunch. read more

Ok.. I just love the buffalo wrap. So I decided to try something different and got the chicken cranberry wrap. I was having a bad day and thought a yummy wrap would make it better. I got to the car and noticed it was made with chicken salad instead of chicken. My bad . Went back and said I can't eat chicken with mayonnaise and could I get another with the other chicken? No. Have to buy a new sandwich thought I was going to cry right there. Bad day no food. Know it was my fault for not seeing that but still.. i did eat the cookie read more

Placed a $50 order. Was given the wrong sandwich, and when I called to ask for a refund/some kind of voucher to get the correct sandwich on another day, I was told the only option was for me to drive 20 minutes to them. I fully understand mistakes happen and I wasn't asking for anything extra, just a refund. The women working were giggling about the situation, whispering back and forth and super unhelpful. I'm far from a Karen, but for a $10 mediocre sandwich I'd really expect some level of customer service for a mistake THEY made. Truthfully for the price, you can get much better sandos out there. read more

Stopped by at this shop because I had heard raving reviews about their great sandwiches so I finally decided to pick a couple of sandwiches up with a friend to have dinner. Let me tell you the review I heard about it did not disappoint at all! I ordered the O.G Tuna with extra mayo, yes I love mayo lol. I was hesitant at first to get the tuna because I rarely like any of the tuna out there. I'm super picky on how I make my tuna salad. Thankfully Mr. Pickle's recipe is amazing and def recommend that sandwich. The restaurant is very clean and the whole procedure was super sanitary. The service was what topped off my experience here. Upon arriving there was a couple being helped already and the person behind the counter greeted us right away and made sure we felt acknowledge. When we placed our order and asked for it to be toasted she was super friendly and accommodating we also had chosen some chips and a potato salad that we were holding and when they handed our food to us, she even offered to bag our food up for us. Wow that is what I call amazing service! The customer is treated right! Thanks to Reggie and his amazing team. This is a must visit location when visiting the Bay Area! read more

giving them a two because this is the second time I've been in for a cold roast beef sandwich and they've given it to me hot. They even asked cold or hot and I still got it hot after I said cold. First time OK it happens second time. You're just not paying attention to your customers. read more

My first time at a Mr. Pickle's. Every employee was wearing masks and only takeout was allowed. I ordered the "Got Beef" on their "Dutch" bread and it was amazing. I'm not sure what Dutch bread is, but it had this amazing crust that was crunchy. The sandwich came with both roast beef and pastrami with Mr. Pickle's "everything" which includes mayo, mustard, garlic sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, and peperoncinis. The "Got Beef" was grilled and severed warm. Perfect after a hike. The sandwich came with a cookie that was soft and chewy. I would eat here again! read more

I usually get the same sandwich. "Got Beef" on Dutch Crunch. This time I changed the cheese to provolone. The service is alway great.

sold a sandwich with 4 pieces salami for $10! Then when complained they said they were sorry! Really. this place is a rip, don't go there!

On Sunday June 29th I ordered a roast beef sandwich and found a hair as part of the condiments. I came in with my friend to order sandwiches and there were two female workers that were pretty snappy and passive aggressive. One worker was busy so I tried to put in my order with the other and the busy worker came over and very passive aggressively said "im talking". They weren't talking prior me trying to order. ProTip, If you want your order correct you need to be in the store babysitting the person making the sandwich. Don't order online! 3 for 3 online orders have been wrong. First off... it's a good (but not amazing) sandwich. The bread is well done and had nice flavor. I had the full size bbq on Dutch crunch. this location needs a whole new staff. every time my wife and I go to this location, the girls are extremely rude, unprofessional, and absolutely do not care about their customers. I'm not one to leave comments or reviews EVER! but these people genuinely need to be replaced with actual employees that care about their product and the service they're providing, aside from caring for the people that come to their location to eat at their establishment. overall , I believe this specific location won't receive my business anymore. SAVE YOUR TIME, MONEY, AND FRUSTRATION. I went today (11/13) and purchased my usual sandwich , requested no tomato or onion on my sandwich and the girls straight up looked at each other and laughed and put onions on my sandwich and gave it to me practically falling apart before I could take a single bite. I'd used doordash to place an order for pick-up (for the purpose of saving myself a few bucks on delivery, of course lol). The process itself was so simple and I didn't run into any problems. Even the turnaround time was quick and the quality of my sandwich wasn't compromised in any way at all. This was actually my second time ever having Mr.Pickles. The first time was a few weeks back at another location in Castro Valley and I was quite impressed by the dutch crunch. The texture of the bread didn't scrape the roof of my mouth and it was a sweet bread. Oh, and they throw in a free cookie with each sandwich.... 5 stars for that! read more
