My family and I returned to Firehouse Subs yesterday for another delish lunch. We noticed a few new menu items and decided to give them a try. My wife and I ordered a medium Smokin Honey Chicken Melt and our son had a large Chicken Cheddar Rancher. I'm not sure how long these new Sammies will be on their regular menu, but we would order them again. We all enjoyed our Sammies and I also like the dill pickle they give too. If you order a soft drink, you can refill your drink with the Coca Cola Freestyle machine. Their service is always efficient and quick. The staff are also pleasant and helpful. There is ample seating inside, along with a few tables outside. The restrooms are also clean and well stocked. Parking can be a challenge, since they share the lot with other businesses. Came here for the first time after hearing about the promo for being named a variant of "Mike" (Michelle, Miguel, Michael, etc.)! Such a unique promo for having a basic name. It was easy to order the free steak and cheese melt. Got my receipt and waited for my name to be called. It got kinda confusing because they were calling many "Mikes". I ended up waiting close to 20 min for my sub because although I told them my name was "Michelle C." they kept reading it as "Michael C." so I didn't think it was me. Since it was my first experience here, I wasn't sure how long it usually took for one to be made. Eventually I walked up and asked if they had called "Michelle" and they said no until I looked at the bag on the counter and it was my name. It had been sitting there getting cold the whole time. Probably like my 3rd or 4th eating from FIREHOUSE SUBS. There are not that many locations in the bay area. This Fremont one is next to Costco . I came after the rush he which I like to do usually. I like the fact they give 3 different size s And the only 3 types of bread to chose from. For to go I chose the mini size forgot but it was a mix Italian of skillet sort. It was perfect size and they give it in a close shell lid paper container which is good to keep tidy and not mess the interior of your car with lettuce and crumbs . I like the leant pickle spear separate too. I love the firehouse motif and decorations and the wall that has a mural of Fremont firefighters. FS isn't usually something I go to a lot. But when I do see one like in Fremont, I get the urge to grab a sandwich. The taste is way better than SUBWAY and comparable to Jersey Mikes with taster value and friendly service . I also felt that sourdough bread was too crusty to chew. Next time I'll get softer bread. Tomato Bisque: creamy and delicious! Little bit on sweeter side. Firemen make fire subs cuz my Engineer was geared to perfection! This beast of a sub had layers on layers of different meat with the crunch of a chip in the shape of lettuce. The bread was soft and it was spongy and it meshed perfectly with the filling. I loved the pickles on the side and the mission of the organization in all! A great place to support while getting a DELICIOUS bite of food! Parking can be quite nasty as the parking lot is shared with plenty of contenders which include Gen, 85c and In n Out! Firehouse subs are really delicious! This location is really neat and tidy which is a plus for me. So far, the subs that we have tried here prior to visiting this location again were the New York Steemer and the Firehouse Steak and Cheese; both really good subs, however the Firehouse Steak and Cheese does tend to get rather soggy from all the juices.. so just a warning. For this visit, we ordered the Smokehouse Beef and Cheddar Brisket and the Firehouse Hero. The Firehouse Hero with everything on it made the sub really packed and was a bit messy to eat, but I would rather have it be packed than not :P The Smokehouse beef and cheddar brisket was good too :) if you enjoy barbeque sauce and meat, then this sub is for you. I enjoy going to Firehouse Subs not only for the clean establishment, but their subs are pretty good! The price is a bit more pricey as compared to subway, but you do get what you paid for, and the subs here are definitely worth the price. read more

Came here for a birthday sub through their rewards system which gave out a free sub with any purchase. It was a great first experience! Having heard of this place but never setting foot in one, the full on fire house/truck/fighter scene was astonishing! There was also a book upfront highlighting the lore and history (get this, it was founded by a community of firefighters!). You'll also be able to learn about the other locations where a Firehouse Sub has been established and the year it started. Ordering the food was a little overwhelming at first due to the many options but once settled, the sandwiches were made to order. We ordered hot subs (I got the pastrami) and they were delicious! It's not huge and it's a bit pricey but they're very flavorful. Parking was easy as it's located in a big lot. There are EV stations should you need a charge. Overall, it's a decent sandwich shop and with the rewards program, it's not bad if it's close enough to frequent. There are definitely better options further away but for the novelty, it's worth at least a visit. read more

Very nice sub place to go to! The atmosphere of this place feels like a break room for firefighters. The staff are polite, nice, hardworking, and welcoming. I like how the subs come in 3 different sizes: small, medium, and large. I also like how the menu displays the calories of the foods for me to keep track of my caloric intakes. Waited 17 minutes to get a small sandwich and it wasn't as tasty as before. Some tables were dirty. The two workers were mildly attentive. So disappointed. An update! We recently came here for a tuna salad sandwich. Albeit this would not be the first thing I would choose here, but since I needed to eat fish that day, it was tuna. We got a large sandwich which was hefty. Yes I shared it with another person but even half was more than filling. The tuna salad was pleasant. Not overly seasoned which I appreciated. A little more mayoed than I would like. But overall a solid sandwich. I can see why folks come here time and time again. I really should sign up for their rewards system. Definitely a great option for lunch in the Pacific Commons area. It does get a little hectic in terms of parking during those peak times, but order ahead so you can easily pick up or stay to eat it there. read more

Probably one of the few chains where you can legitly make a better sandwich at home than them. Tried the Hook & Ladder sub from T-Mobile's BOGO deal and...it was disappointing. After picking it up and arriving home to eat it, the bottom was already soggy. Nothing special about the bland bread, the ingredients aren't better than your grocery store packaged deli meat, and overall just a very boring, regular sandwich. I'd say it's barely worth a BOGO and most definitely not worth paying full price for. The location was clean though and they had plenty of workers so if you're a Firehouse Subs kinda person, this is a perfectly good location to order from. read more

We split the 12inch and boy were we full. If you're wanting dessert, Meet Fresh is right next door haha Definitely a cheap eat ($11 per person splitting a sandwich, chips and drink!) and not a lot of customers in the restaurant which is nice if you're looking for more quiet place to catch up. Was hoping to eat at Dog Haus but a sign stated "temporarily closed", decided to go to Firehouse Subs since it was in the same parking lot. Wow, I can't believe how much the subs are now...... Yikes, $8.95 for a small turkey sandwich. It was ok, but not worth $8.95. Hubby had a medium steak and cheese, $14.95, I can't afford to eat here anymore. Regardless of the price, the sandwiches weren't worth what we paid, between one shared drink and 2 bags of chips cost close to $33.00. Due to the rising prices of dining out, I'm going to have to stay home and eat more now. We are retired and going out to eat was our enjoyment, now we have to rethink that. Bottom line, the sandwiches are not worth it and that's the last time for us. Perhaps, rethink your prices like McDonald's, Wendy's and Burger King has, offer a cheap meal package, I know it has to make a difference in sales.
