I was surprised however that if I wanted to add a side of sweet potato fries, I would have to fork over an additional $4.00. Maybe it's a big portion or something... Only get one star because it's required! Do not recommend this place unless you want to lose money, receive poor service and eat dry chicken. So Mikey, gave poor customer service. Could not do something as simple as hand us back our receipts or apply the coupon to the transactions when we very blatantly handed him the coupon and he said "you have to get a fountain drink to use it". How you still fail to apply it is beyond me. Best of the worst is when I asked the other server, this man (brought us our food) and Mikey thought it would be appropriate to confront us and ask why. Not all that impressed with this place. My daughter wanted to try it so we gave it a go. Its mediocre at best. The service is horribly slow and the food is just average at best. The worst service I have ever had. The cashier did not make eye contact or speak when our party entered. We asked if we seat ourselves or order here. He said,"You order at the counter just like everybody else." We ordered our food and sat down. He came over to the table beside us and handed out food. They said that's not ours. He called our names, then handed us some food. My mom asked about the rest of our order he asked what we ordered. A member of our group had ordered loaded fries. Then I said I had ordered a turkey sanwhich on white bread. I specifically said white bread because I have a bread allergy. He put his hands on his knees bent down, got in my face, and started yelling that if I have celiac disease I can't have a sandwhich it's all contaminated with gluten. A member of my group told him to back up, get out of her face, and stop yelling at her like that. It was an extremely uncomfortable situation. I explained between him yelling that I am allergic to Rye which is why I specifically ordered White bread. Then I told the man that I do not want anything from him or the restaurant. I asked if we had paid for my drink since he did not have my sandwich on the receipt he was waving in my face. He said that we had paid for that. I truly enjoyed my sandwich while at this restaurant. My husband and I love to play pinball and when looking up places to play we were pleasantly surprised they had our most FAVORITE machine. This was our third visit and it won't be our last. The owners are very nice and easy going. We were there on our anniversary on the 26th to play a couple of games before heading to a friend's birthday party. We went back on the 28th to eat and play. I ate a Turkey Hoagie and hubby had a Reuben. Both had good flavor and were made to order. First time we went we both had PhillySteak sandwiches and I ordered Sweet potato fries (loved them) and hubby had the onion rings. Despite the place being difficult to find (being hidden in another building with only a single, small sign indicating it's presence in the building), and having to park far away, the food was great. My husband and I shared a cheese steak and pizza fries. The cheese steak was tasty, it wasn't the best, but I had no complaints. The pizza fries were nothing special, but the main meal more than made up for it. It appears as though the restaurant limits you to one refill, so keep that in mind. The room is on the small side, but has at least one TV and several arcade machines to keep your kids busy while your chowing down. All in all, if I take another trip to St. Augustine I will definetly visit them again. read more

I used to love this place. Last night I ordered fish and chips. I asked for tartar sauce and was told it was $.57!extra. I replied, "You're kidding," and walked back to my table. My brother and I had lunch here on a weekday in late Jan. 2020. First we tried to eat at A1A restaurant at the corner near the marina, but when we entered we were warned that the waitress is over-taxed and waits will be long at A1A. So we tried this Philly-style restaurant located on the same block of King Street. We are Philadelphians and senior citizens, on a road trip touring the towns along the Florida coast. This place served us a wonderful Italian Hoagie. The large sub contains specialty meats of high quality, and a delicious hoagie roll. This hoagie is better than most that I get in Philly. We enjoyed our lunch, sitting by the front window looking out at the tourists, and we played some pinball at the 3 pinball machines. Fun, casual place. Nothin fancy. I bought the t-shirt. Service was slow despite few customers, but the server was friendly. I noticed that employees of a nearby historic attraction were coming in here for lunch (a good sign). I like this lunch spot! The cheeseburger was a cooked to juicy perfection, the cheese was melted on the burger not just placed on it after cooking and nuked. A just right, flavorful slice of tomato, a palm size piece of crisp romaine and not the spine part, raw onions sliced not too thick and not too thin kept trying to sneak out of the bun. AND the bun, do not get me started on the bun. We were going to stop in for one the next morning, it was that good. But, things happened, next tine for sure. Ok so I call to get 2 subs and some wings ( I think, I try and forget places that are 'OFF THE CHARTS") The phone rang and rang must have rang I guess more than 10 times so I hung up and called back thinking I called the wrong number and a lady answers the phone and she says " I will get some one to take your order " Now I am really a patient person but, this is getting ridiculous I thought I was on one of those TV shows and I was being "Punked or on some hidden camera show. So I figure I will play along finally another lady comes on she" says just a moment". She comes back and finally I order give her my address my phone and even tell her how to more easily find the place where I am located here we go again " she says something like we are out of that" or something like that".. After all that I say just forget it and hung up as I start looking for another place to get food the phone rings and a man says " Why do you not want your order" As if you are going to take the order whether you want to or not ! Hard as hell to find. It's on the corner in the yellow building. U have to walk inside the building and it's one of the shops inside. As far as the food goes, I had the cheese steak. The insides were good but the bread was nothing special. Almost tasted old. This could have been cause I went late at night. They had good beer selection/prices.
