    Stuffed cabbage soup
    Annette A.

Excellent food in a small local place. Tried the cinnamon roll as we saw on google reviews that is a must and it was definitely worth it. I had a burger which was good and what one would expect from a diner burger but the stuffed cabbage soup stole the show. I should have gotten a bowl and not just a cup. My son got the chicken pesto wrap and thought it was excellent as well. Good friendly service too. If you are in the area this is a nice place to get a good solid meal.

    Sunrise burger

Came in Sunday morning to a very crowded restaurant but luckily there was one table for us. The menu is pretty extensive and I love the fact you can order one piece of french toast, which I did. The french toast I ordered with the homemade bread. You can definitely tell it's homemade bread, yeasty and thick. I would have preferred the bread be soaked a bit longer in the egg but it was very good. Hubby ordered the sunrise burger and the egg was wonderful. The burger had a delicious taste as well. The potatoes were ordered crispy and they came crispy. My sister ordered the skillet and that too was delicious. Everything came out hot. As I mentioned they were pretty busy so our waitress did a good job of checking on us. We walked here so not sure about parking and for the three of us we spent $40 (without tip). Good place to grab some breakfast!

Affordable food, great service. We had the South Arms Special omelette. The homemade wheat bread was terrific.

The coffee is consistently fantastic, the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff is always wonderful. One of our favorite things is that they're dog friendly, so Layla absolutely LOVES coming with us. At this point, even our kids ask if we're stopping at Iron Goat before we go pretty much anywhere. It really feels like a community coffee shop......the kind of place where everyone feels welcome, whether you're stopping in with your kids, bringing your pup, grabbing something quickly, or staying awhile. Great coffee, great people, great atmosphere, and a place our entire family genuinely gets excited about visiting. An easy five stars from us!

The Friday morning visit was five stars. We walked in and must have hit it at just the right time as there was no line. My husband and I ordered the lavender chai latte off the Spring time special menu. I ordered mine with oat milk and his with regular and asked them to make both of them dirty. We were both super happy with this selection. We didn't have to wait very long even though there was only one person working that day. The next morning, there was a long line and two people working... and the specialty menu was no longer available. Even so, they did let my husband order the lavender chai latte again. I went with a flat white with oat milk and light lavender. We waited quite awhile and noticed others around us did as well. It was fine since we were not in a rush, but not the best experience. Clearly the staff were stressed with the rush of people and so many orders to fill. The coffees were once again delicious. There is a limited food menu and a small retail area, as well as indoor and outdoor seating. There isn't any other gourmet coffee in the area to my knowledge, so if you are wanting a fancy coffee, this may be your only option. If you hit it right, you will have an incredible experience, but if there is a line during a busy time, be prepared for a bit of a wait. Either way, enjoy your time at Walloon Lake - it's magical!

It's a reasonably large space, and well played out with gifts and edibles. Apparently their syrup must be loved to sell it in a 2 gallon size. lol We ordered a smoothie, a cold brew and a hand pie. Aside from it taking a long while to receive our order and the place being packed, everything was delish. 1 * subtracted only that the cost was over $30 with tip. A little steep. It seems more of a simple coffee shop, food options are also very minimal. They have what tastes like McDonald's parfaits without the fruit and some bagels one shelf's. Some pastries that look good. You order at the counter that is directly in front of you, and then they serve the drinks at the end of the counter. Do be mindful though of what you ordered as they didn't take names and called out orders instead. If it is busy (which it was when we visited) you also have to keep on top of the orders as often people mistakenly take an order. They are gracious about making another one for you, but it helps everyone to keep your ears open for your original order. My latte was full of flavor and not too bitter but did need a bit of sugar to make it sweet enough for me. They do have alternative mills but run out quickly so if you want something on a holiday or busy weekend I suggest you go early. Their teas are also quite good as my husband can contest, so if you want to try a tea they have several good options. All in all a great coffee spot and one that can accommodate larger groups and even has some fun Boyne City souvenirs to purchase. Recommend a stop in while visiting !
