Awesome SERVICE

3rd time coming in! Never disappointed! They are friendly and fast! The Baklava is DELICIOUS! The place has the vibe of a corner store with beer, wine, snacks etc, and a to go restaurant! The cooking area seems to be maintained and quite clean!

Southside Super Falafel Sandwich

I stopped at South Side 6 in BG today, and honestly think I had the best falafel I've had to date. I got the super falafel which was this monstrous sandwich pictured here! It was loaded with tabouli, falafel, and hummus! I couldn't eat it all! Although, it doesn't look like much from the outside and it's a convenience store atmosphere inside I would not sleep on the delicious food or fast and friendly service!

Buddy is my pet but Dog is Not on menu here!

The staff was very friendly & helped me decide what to order based on their menu. They even made me a sample of fried rice, my fave w/ fresh veggies & to round out the menu items! And it was all very delicious!!!!! Price was fair, drinks were Coke NOT Pepsi (blah!) I love SS6's food & i highly recommend them! In fact, I think I will go there for lunch tomorrow (Monday).

Gyro with chicken and lamb mix

All I can say is wow! If you are in Bowling Green, you have to stop in to South Side 6 and get a gyro. These things are monstrous and taste amazing. Lots of meat, onions, lettuce, tomato and sauce. I could only eat half and I have a big appetite. Definitely a must try. There is no where to eat inside here though so keep that in mind. Carryout only.

Lamb Gyro Platter

SUPER SAD AND DISAPPOINTED THEY NO LONGER DELIVER!!! I boasted about how awesome the food is (because it is), and the n total shock that such an incredible establishment just stopped delivering. I guess they are another victim of the world we live in that is too short on staff????? Just guessing though???? Maybe they can comment here with an explanation.

Lamb Gyro Meal with Fries

The food here is just too good. We always get gyros and fries. Fries are always crispy and well seasoned. They gyro meat is so yummy. You can get lamb, chicken, or mix. They were very apologetic for being busy (food took 15 minutes longer than anticipated) but when I say the food is well worth the wait. I am not kidding!! You can tell it's family owned and operated so I don't mind waiting when I know it'll hit the spot every time. Best hidden gem. If you're ever in BG give it a try!

Lots of drink options

This has always been one my favorite places in Bowling Green. The food is always delicious and I keep coming back for more. The falafel plate and a side of balkava came out to a little over $14.00. Really a great deal for what you get. Pros: -Great food -You get a lot, and I mean, A LOT of food! -Vegetarian friendly options -Diverse drink selection -They have grab and go options in the refrigerator -Variety of candy -Free, small parking lot in front Cons: -No tables/chairs to eat here, so it's all take out

Nice little place. Package store and grill. Bought 4 1/2 pound burgers, a chicken sandwich, super huge fries, large hummus, large tabouli, and a 6 pack of Kronnenburg for $70. And if I were giving out stars for value only, they would get 5. Everything was made fresh while I waited. No problem there. Burgers are grilled over an open flame and the sandwich is very well done. Only issue taking away a star is the beef was a bit dry and needed seasoning. Everyone loved the fries, which were nicely seasoned and battered. The hummus and tabouli were ok. Nice people and would go back on a heartbeat for something quick to go.

Lamb Gyro
Amy R.

The gyro was solid! Overall, it was probably too big and the sides were barely touched because of this. The texture and style of their hummus is too runny and smooth for my liking. Skip the platter and enjoy a great big gyro. Be aware this is not a dine in place. They have a couple outdoor picnic tables right on the corner of a busy street, but this is easily a to-go type of place.

Best gyros in BG! Very unassuming and most may overlook it, but it's one of my wife and I's favorites. Also, their fries are awesome too!

Sterling's Amish Deli

Their sandwiches are incredible especially the Rachael and their giant turkey club but on top of that the employees are very welcoming and it's also a great location to visit as they sell a wide variety of jams, jelly, candy, and much more! I highly recommend it - you won't be disappointed!

Having noticed that the long-standing "coming soon!" sign was not longer in the window, I wanted to…read morecheck out the new Sterling's Amish Deli. Taking over the same storefront as the former Amish Deli (home of "Bowling Green's Biggest, Baddest BLT"), I had high hopes which were only buoyed by the enthusiastic welcome I received from the smiling staff as I entered the establishment. The nice lady at the order counter apologized and said the grill was having issues during their soft opening, but that did not matter to me, as I already had my eyes on trying one of the 2-dog combos. After quickly reviewing my options, I ordered the Sterling dogs with a side of coleslaw, plus a fountain Coke. Before tax, the total came to $9.98, which was pretty reasonable for lunch downtown. As I made my way to one of the booths, I cast my eye around the dining room, and frankly, I liked what I saw! The new laminate floor looked great, as did the brand new -and spotlessly clean- tables, chairs, and booths. The decorations and wall hangings were tasteful and un-cluttered, and I especially liked how the blue light horse silhouette (visible on far-right side of my dining room photo) conveyed a sense of good-Amish-food-meets-21st-century. After a pleasantly short wait, my order was delivered to my booth. The all-beef dogs were garnished with crispy-cooked bacon, red pepper relish, and shredded cheddar cheese. As you can see in my food photo, they looked great, and tasted even better! The side of coleslaw was also very good, which kind of surprised me, as I expected it to be overpowered by the clearly visible chunks of red onion, but the flavours melded together perfectly. I also liked how the staff stopped by my table to ask how the food was, and how speedy and friendly they were any time I took my fountain cup up to the counter for a refill. PROS: very good food, very friendly staff, reasonable prices, and a good atmosphere CONS: for a soft opening, I felt they were great, as I had zero issues! Overall I rate Sterling's Amish Deli as being Very Good, and look forward to returning!
