02/09/26 The Best Cheese Steak in Michigan...hmmm. My previous thought in my last review remains. When someone tells me that their (anything) in the State of Michigan is the best, there really should be a way for the diner to compare said "best" to other places. I do like the rolls. Very much so. But is the sandwich the "best"? I know of at least one place in Detroit that might at least share that claim. I still like the cold sandwiches and deli salads. The desserts are very good. And the burgers are good with a nice selection of toppings. Fries, tots, and chips are all available to order. The staff is very friendly, either in person or on the phone. The restaurant has a LOT of room in the dining area. Although I don't recall ever asking, it may have been two businesses at the same location, and at some point, the floor space was combined. They may not accept very large parties, like a business lunch, but they have the room for this type of gathering. I still recommend this place, and pickup/Door Dash is always available if you do not wish to dine in. read more

We had an issue with our order and called the phone # in the DoorDash email it said to call with issues and it turned out to be the owner's personal cell. This is something the owner needs to change if she doesn't like it instead of berating the customer. We're not local and had no way of knowing it was a cell # but the owner was very rude and yelled at us for bothering her while she was working. We were paying customers! She berated us as if we were stalking her. read more

Ordered two cheese steaks. Both ordered with extra cheese which was barely detectable on one and not detectable at all on the other. Seasoning on the steak was insufficient for the bland, low quality meat. The sandwich lacked flavor overall and "full size" is 5 inches. My rating is a two and not a one because service wasn't bad read more

Best hoagies in town! My favorite is mushroom cheese steak! Bread is soft and doesn't distract from the fillings.

One of those few places here you can order anything off the menu and it's all good. I've tried the Reuben sub pastrami for corned beef, the buffalo chicken sub, and of course the fries. The sandwiches are huge, and I would recommend a half size for lunch. They are one of the handful of places that have coke products. Love. They also have a case of desserts. Some they make in house and others they purchase locally. I really liked the coconut cream pie. Dine in is fast and better than take out so the hot sandwiches don't make the bread soggy. The service at the counter is always great, and they give you a number for your food if you dine in. The inside is roomy with lots of tables, so they don't run out of space during the lunch rush. read more

I never had a hoagie before. I didn't need another one for comparison to know that this one was delicious. The bun was the bomb. The steak was tasty and the mushrooms and green peppers were just perfect. Highly recommended! read more

Always one of my favorite places to come when I am in Adrian! I have been eating there since I was a student at Siena in the late 1980's!

The place is very simple as far as decor goes, but the food is so delicious. This really does have the best Philly Cheesesteaks around.

One of the best cheese steak places around. I've looked around other places in Michigan, as well as many places in California and haven't found anything that comes close to how good the food is here. My best guess is that I'd have to go to Philly to find something better. I always get the Bulldog Cheese Steak when I visit. It's consistently juicy and flavorful; never dry or overcooked. The staff behind the counter are always friendly, and the establishment itself has plenty of room if you're dining in. If you're ever around Adrian, do yourself a favor and stop by for lunch or dinner. This is a must try restaurant. read more

Ordered two cheesesteak sandwiches my husband wanted lettuce and tomato and I ordered the works( peppers and onions). My husband ordered our sandwiches to go. When he arrived home we found the sandwiches much smaller than before when we ordered. My husband's sandwich had no lettuce or tomato. Very sad as we use to eat here a lot but lately their sandwiches have been disappointing. We thought we would give them a chance but three strikes and they are out of our dining there. read more

By far not the best Cheese steak in Michigan. It honestly has to be a joke for them to say that. All there subs are mediocre and there is nothing special about them. Subways cheese steak is 100x better. Also you could buy all the stuff an make your own sub at home and it would be better than this place. read more

Literally grew up eating here and it is still my number one favorite place to eat. This is one of the best places to eat subs (particularly Cheesesteak) in Adrian, MI. And the service is always really great and the people always super friendly! I usually get the Cheesesteak and it is phenomenal!! I'm living in New York and I haven't found anything that even slightly compares to Hoagie Man's cheesesteak! The waffle fries with cheese pair well with pretty much everything on the menu. Ummm pure amazing. This place is the best sub shop in lenawee county. The staff is super friendly and the food is always fresh, they offer gluten free bread and many vegetarian options which I love. 1st time today and will be back! Great service! This place has 60 seats in it - which shocked me. It looks small from the outside. Plenty on the menu besides subs. To my surprise (as you may have surmised, I'm not a huge cheerleader for restaurants in Adrian), this place makes a pretty damned awesome cheesesteak. They even get the bread right, and they never insist on putting lettuce and tomato all over my sandwich (seriously, huh?). Their waffle fries are crispy and have really good flavor, too.
