First off, this place is such a pain to find! That's because it's inside Filotimo (a casino). I'm also told that they pretty much serve the same food regardless. As for the food, very basic, but rather large size for it. I got a bacon burger (spoiling myself before a marathon relay) and opted to not get the fries, which was a smart move. My friends got steak tips and pasta which came with a salad. They're portions were big as well. I also wanted to drink Truly, but they didn't have that, so I played it save with another beer. The night we went (last Saturday) had live music, which I really liked when he played a country song. Tip: There's a hidden opening to the lot of the casino. It was still really good. I ordered the chicken parm calzone for my boyfriend and it was gigantic and for that price, unbeatable. Fast delivery, especially for how busy they were. Came to the Southside Tavern on 11/24/2022 after traveling for ten hours. I was extremely hungry. I was greeted by Elena with a big smile, she was pleasant, friendly and welcoming. She took my drink order, before I knew it my drink was right in front of me. I ordered a burger, it was cooked perfectly. Elena was extremely attentive, efficient but most importantly she was helpful when I asked her questions about the gaming in your facility. She was working with another girl that wasn't wearing a name tag, she had blonde hair. The entire hour I spent in your restaurant Elenas co worker spent on her phone. Ordered a large Greek salad (which was fine, but not nearly what I would expect from a Greek restaurant), a lemon chicken rice soup which was definitely reheated multiple times over many days, a cheeseburger (which my son says was "pretty good"), and a very disappointing calzone made with low-quality ingredients. I arrived on a late flight and I chose this restaurant from the flyers given to me from the hotel. I have ate twice at the South Side and both times was completely satisfied with the food and service. Went in today (Friday, August 6 2021) at opening time of 11:00 am and Tatum was busy setting up the bar and came right over and took my drink order. The bar owner (I missed getting his name) came over and recommended the baked Greek style Haddock. Came with 2 sides so I had the coleslaw and lemon potatoes. Tatum brought my food out within 15 minutes, piping hot and DELICIOUS. I work for the airlines and stay across the street for our overnights and will make the South Side my restaurant of choice when in Manchester NH. Should we get a weather or maintenance delay and get in late to the hotel the owner said they will deliver as long as you get your order in by 12:30 am. read more

My first time ordering take out from Southside order a haddock dinner and fried pickles. I was very disappointed. The pickles were thin and over battered all you could taste was the batter. The fish was thin as paper and crumbled when I picked it up. The onion rings were soggy as if those were used to soak up the grease from the fried fish. read more

This place was kind of off the main path.... we would have totally come here before had we known it was a sports bar & they had poker!!! Who could ask for more? We went in a Wednesday at dinner time, and the bar was full so we took the only clean table available. It took a couple minutes to get drinks, but once we did everything else went pretty smooth. The food was good, we got the Mo Mo wings, which are with Buffalo, barbecue and teriyaki sauces, with a large Caesar salad. The salad was really good, fresh and the dressing was on the side. The wings were a little smaller than I expected, but they were really yummy, I would definitely get them again even though they were messy, just get a couple extra napkins. The drinks were average. It was not cheap, but the drinks probably are what brought the bill up. Getting to the bathroom is a bit of a journey, but you get to see the whole place that way. They have a pool table and a bunch of gambling machines, but we stuck to Keno. Oh yea, we had a coupon from Couptopia, no issues. read more

Hidden jewel! I was not aware there was a sports bar and grille at the poker room on South Willow St. This is truly on of Manchester's hidden gems. The staff is courteous and friendly. We ordered here for the first time on Friday night. We wanted to try something new. Our experience was horrible. We ordered a hamburger dinner, a greek salad, and an eggplant calzone. Simple...I thought. When the order arrived I paid and when I got inside I realized the calzone was missing. I called back and they said they sent another delivery man out with it and it should be there shortly. About twenty minutes later I get a call from a delivery man saying he's outside...he's at the wrong address in the wrong town. I tell him to cancel the order. I called the restaurant back and tell them what happened and ask for a refund. They said or course and apologized. When I still didn't see any refund 24 hours later I called the restaurant. I explained the situation to the girl that answered, she ended up going back and fourth between me and the manager about five times because the manager wouldn't talk to me. He offered a credit for a new meal for when we go there again. They clearly didn't understand that I would never be dining there. Not only because of this whole situation but also because the food was inedible and had to be thrown away. Eventually I was told I would get a refund but that it couldn't be done through my card, but that a driver would deliver me my refund. By the time I finally received my refund it was for only $8. Worst food but even worse customer service. read more

Shady place. If you play poker, or any table games, watch out. The employees also play and they will take your money- but not each other so it really isn't fun. When I sat down I mentioned to the woman (an employee) next to me it was my first time at this location, she loudly repeated it to the table and started laughing? Towards the end of the night, I found an ace set aside near the garbage can that is next to each table in the same spot. When questioning what the heck was going on, the manager in the card room said they throw out their decks... What! Oh, and he also mentioned that anyone could "buy those cards and bring them in". It seemed like he was more concerned about making excuses. As I left, I asked someone in the cage if, in fact, it was common practice to throw out the decks next to the tables. I started working in Manchester a few months back, and I wanted a place to hang out with friends after work. For a few months, Jokers was that place. Jokers had everything we wanted. Entertainment, reasonably priced foods, games, friendly service, Jokers had it all. Granted, not all the games worked, but it gave the place character in my opinion. Then, Jokers changed hands. The new owner is transitioning it into the Southside Tavern. Gone are the arcade games. Tables have been moved to where the games once stood. All that remains of the arcade are two Golden Tee Machines along with your standard Foosball and Pool. I would still go, the food and service are still superb. TJ and Meg at the bar are amazing! I just will never understand why you would take away what makes your bar unique, and make it just like every other bar? read more
