    East Texas crawfish roll
    Lisa F.

Really great ambiance (and AC) the Pearl district. If they're on a wait and you have a small party, ask about the chef's table. Stopped in for lunch and had the east Texas crawfish roll and a side salad. The side salad was tasty, fresh, and ginormous, the crawfish roll was fantastic. I was a little thrown by the melter butter it was served with, but then I added a touch and immediately understood. The pickles were great but I thought they overwhelmed the crawfish a bit so I ate them separately. For beer I tried the hazy ipa (I think a silver something?) and it was darn good, not as fruity as some. The icing on the cake? My server suggests a wine slushy for walking around the Pearl. It was Sauvignon bland with mango and it was just what I needed. Stop in for one of those if nothing else ;)

This little gem right outside of Southerleigh just opened up and has the most delicious oysters shucked right in front of you. They have a wide variety of oysters to choose from along with beers on tap and wine. They are closed on rainy days, so make sure to check the weather before heading down to the Oyster Bar. My favorite was the lucky lime with the medium salt flavor. I definitely want to come back to try the seafood tower and caviar.

We had the joy of enjoying a beautiful lunch on the dog friendly patio. We started our meal with with fried with queso which is easy and shareable. We followed that up with their big oysters they had this specialty bbq oyster sauce that I couldn't get enough of . I tried their punch rogue and would order it again. We all our enjoyed our entrees and have no complaints. Their biscuits remind me of New Orleans . We can't wait to return. Service was great.

One of the best restaurants I went to in San Antonio…read more The food was perfect. The deviled eggs were very good with a bit of spice. Definitely a surprise as an appetizer but good. We also had the snapper throats and loved them. The aioli was a great sauce with them. I had the gulf catch of the day, which was grouper, and it was so good. Great seasoning, perfectly flaky and moist, a nice crust on the outside. With that we had some jalapeno corn bread which was also delicious. Not too dry at all. I was hoping for it to be spicy but it was not. For dessert, I gad panna cotta and it was a great ending. Not too sweet, but the berries made up for that. The lavender meringue bites had a great crunch. Our server (Maya) was excellent. She was so friendly and helpful. Finally, the decor is unmatched anywhere. It used to be a brewery and they kept the old pipes and valves, which look very cool. It has a great vibe. I highly recommend. Without the need to, I'll mention anyway that it's not cheap. But it's worth it.

Really enjoyed the grilled oysters and the pork chop was amazing; maybe slightly overcooked but it was brined and so flavorful- nice & smokey; enough for 2. Pass on the summer squash- would be tasty if squash was shredded (like spaghetti) but cubed, the texture was off-setting. Drinks are fun - had the "madame" -yum. Fun spot - definitely would return.

I've never had a worse or more unorganized dining experience…read more We were seated at 8:15 PM and placed our orders. Most of our table ordered from the restaurant week menu, which includes an appetizer, entrée, and dessert. It took about 30 minutes just to get our drinks, and the appetizers didn't come out until around 9:30. I was the only person at our table who never received my appetizer. While waiting, I asked for utensils so I could at least try some of everyone else's appetizers. We were a table of four and were given only two sets of utensils because they had apparently run out of them. The waitress later came back with more forks. About 10 minutes later, another waitress came by with my dessert. I had to stop her and explain that I hadn't even received my appetizer or entrée yet. She took the dessert back to the kitchen. A few minutes later, everyone's entrées came out--except mine. I still hadn't received my appetizer. At that point, I told our waitress I wanted to cancel my entire order. Her response was, "Yeah, I was going to ask you that because the kitchen just asked me what you ordered." No apology, no explanation, nothing. I had already ordered two drinks, so she said she would ask the manager about compensating them. A few minutes later, my appetizer finally came out. I reminded her that I had canceled my order, and she said she knew but that I could still have it at no charge, so I accepted it. I was told the manager could only offer 50% off my drinks, which I reluctantly accepted. The manager never came over to speak with us. When the check came, I was charged $25 for the appetizer--even though I had canceled my entire food order before it was brought out and had been told I could have it at no charge. My drinks were also fully comped instead of receiving the 50% discount we had discussed. This meant they tried to charge me more than they should have: the $25 appetizer was added to the bill, while the agreed-upon discount on my drinks was not applied. If they had simply honored the arrangement, I would have owed only $13, but they instead tried to charge me for the canceled food. When I pointed this out, the waitress seemed irritated, told me not to worry about it, and moved on to collecting payment from the rest of the table. We didn't end up leaving until 10:40 PM, meaning it took 2.5 hours to serve us. At no point did anyone genuinely apologize or explain what happened. Mistakes happen, but the complete lack of communication, organization, and customer service made this experience incredibly frustrating. Unfortunately, the entire dinner was pretty tainted by the time the food finally came around. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

And I place my order as it was Wednesday dollar day for wings so I order wings. I had the parmesan garlic, lemon pepper. Let me tell you they were so good, the wait was too long but worth the wait.
