He answered all my questions (even about repelling other types of pests) and wouldn't spray until he knew I could have the dog out of the house for a good few hours while the chemicals dried. He also gave us a heads up about plants along our fence that may be developing some fungi and gave us pointers on how to fix that to avoid attracting any other insects in the future. Alex helped me get rid of a cocroach infestation that i was not able to get rid of on my own! I had just moved in to an apartment in Huntington park that was infested with small cockroaches. I wanted to write a review of my experience with Southern California Pest Co. I recently used their service to get rid of a wasp nest. I look them up online and had never used the service before. Eric who came out was professional and thorough and I was very impressed. I talk with them about ongoing past control and he recommended a program service they offer 3 times a year. He came over and sprayed for ants, bugs spiders and other insects and discovered some additional wasps nests. Contacted them using the Yelp app in the evening, got a response in about an hour. Eric let me know he could come by and inspect my problem the very next morning. He was very informative of the pests I had and recommended I move forward with the treatment because of popcorn ceiling. Apparently, the little critters like to hide in that stuff. Called one day regarding a rotten smell coming from inside my wall or vents after most places were closed and he was still open til 7pm. I most likely have a dead rat because I've heard what sounds like one behind the walls in my townhouse. Since it is a townhouse, we don't have attics and that makes it impossible for an inspector to crawl inside and take a look, so Eric recommended buying some earth care bags to eat up the smell instead of opening walls and playing scavenger hunt looking for Splinter inside my walls. I needed something done today, so i went to home depot based on Eric's suggestion of getting the earth care bags and found something similar with decent reviews called Odor Eliminator by Gonzo. At 9 bucks a piece i bought 5 of them and hung them from my ac vents. Along with all the windows open, i hope the smell stays away for good. We love this company. It's unfortunate to have to need them, but if you have an issue with pests this is the company to go with. They are a trustworthy and allow clients to make informed choices before committing to hiring them for a service. We hired them when we had a rat die within the walls of our home. These guys are the best! I've used big name companies, you know who I'm talking about they all have commercials that run regularly. All We've ever had problems with were ants & crickets & somehow one of those larger companies insisted that we needed a full on circus tent fumigation after 5-6 months of regular monthly spraying which never seemed to to keep the bugs away for more than a week. That set us back several $100's of dollars not including the cost of staying in a hotel for a few days during the tent fumigation. Less than 2 months later crickets were back! Needless to say, "I was so over it!" One of our neighbors referred us to SCPC I usually deal with Alex, he always shoots straight. Never any BS about what needs to be done, what can wait, what can't wait and how much everything is going to cost. I was a little weary at first being that I was using a fairly new company but that didn't last long! After the 1st time he came out to spray I want to say less than 2-3 days later NO MORE CRICKETS OR ANTS! Now they come out every so often for maintenance. No bugs have been back since! Also something that is very important to me, is they use pet-safe chemicals.
