We stopped by for lunch 11/3/2025, slightly before noon. A couple of cars in the drive-thru and nobody in the dining area except for one gentleman. A lady standing waiting on her food for a couple of minutes. We stoop at the counter for 10 minutes waiting for someone to take our order. The expression on the counter persons face spoke volumes. Took our order 15 minutes. There was nobody in the restaurant. Car after car going through the drive-thru.. we get our order and sit down to eat and I realized that part of our order was missing. The gentleman that had come in right behind us was still waiting on his order. Nothing fancy just a chicken sandwich. Took 30 minutes with nobody going through the drive-thru for him to get a sandwich. Our chicken was super greasy and packed any flavor of which Popeyes is famous for. When I told them about my order being wrong and showed them my receipt the expression was of I shit down her throat. The only positive thing I can say was that it was clean inside and that's it. I had another gentleman say that he was there because they got his to go order wrong. They were supposed to have corrected but it was still wrong. Not once but a total of 3 times. I do not recommend stopping for lunch if you are on a schedule because half of the time you will spend trying to get what you ordered. Went to this location this eve to wait 12 mins at the drive thru order board to place my order. Receive my order after watching it being made and bagged and sitting on the counter another approx 5 mins before being g handed my bag. Get home to find all my Red Beans rice and mash potatoes all over the bag due to the lids not fitting girl the container. Called the store to speak t9 the manager whom was snippy and then turned rude. I asked what the issue was and she said that the lids they were using do not fit the containers because their lives are on back order. I love POPEYES CHICKEN and I really miss them in the south when I lived in Nashville and traveled a lot around the area. I was so happy to see the POPEYES in Parkersburg when I was in the area for a visit. BUT I was very disappointed!!! The prices were average and standard. The staff friendly but the grease in the food was old and had a bad taste and smell to it. I was so unhappy!!!! I hate it when I get excited about food and then I am sorely disappointed. This particular Popeyes is extremely poorly run. The food is good, when you get it hot, but rarely is it hot. Don't order online. I just got home from picking up my order. I live 3.5 miles from the restaurant. I gave them 45 minutes to get it ready by 7:20pm. As I write this, it's 7:54pm and I just walked into the door of my house. The order wasn't ready. I had to ask for my husband's drink. The Boy behind the counter, yelled at me when I walked back in, when. I didn't see the French fries. This is after waiting over 20 minutes to pick up an order that should have been ready. I will call Corporate HQ about his conduct, you can be sure. 2 weeks ago, after ordering online, I stood waiting for 10 minutes. Not one person was behind the counter. After calling "hello" several times, a woman walked up to me from where she was drinking a soda at a table. I could see my order was ready, just no one to hand it to me. After 15 minutes, I finally left with my order (with STILL no one behind the counter). The 2 other times that I pre-ordered (and prepaid), I was told to pull over at the drive thru, because the orders weren't ready. One time, after waiting a full 30 minutes, I walked in to find they "forgot" the order. I've been to several Popeyes across the country, but this one in particular was the cleanest and most well-maintained stores I've been in. We all ordered spicy chicken sandwich meals! The sandwiches were fresh and just amazing. I personally am a Chick-fil-A guy, but Popeyes has the better spicy chicken sandwich! Fight me about it. Our food came quickly, which was great. The service could have been slightly more upbeat and polite, instead it just seemed a little blah and depressing. The fries were a little disappointing this time around as well. I put in a mobile order and paid with the app. We came up to the speaker and the woman rushed us along, we got to the window and she told us we had to alternate the hush puppies in our order because they were out. As Popeyes is a fast food restaurant I don't set my standards super high, however anytime I've come to this particular location somehow my order is always getting messed up, wether that be something as simple as forgetting a few sauces or handing me the wrong drink, or something a little more of a big deal like forgetting a whole meal. I generally have found that a lot of the staff is rather rude. Today, I went in and ordered 2 meals both of which came with drinks. The woman at the drive thru asked what I wanted to drink with each meal and then when I got to the pickup window she handed me 1 drink and I asked for my other drink and she told me 'I didn't charge you for 2 drinks so if you want the other one I'll have to charge you again'. I find that the food is pretty decent but the rude staff and long lines are what keep Popeyes from being a more frequent choice when going out to eat. read more

Still too new to for the management and staff to have their groove going. Multiple people (dine-in and drive through) returning to the counter due to their orders being wrong or incomplete. Inexperienced staff taking orders and running the registers making the order process tedious. If you want takeout, go inside to order and don't use the drive-thru; this will save you time in the long run.
