This is a basic bar and restaurant across from the bait shop on the pier. We ate here a couple of times for lunch. Food was decent and they had bubbles. Food menu is limited, with burgers, hot dogs, etc., but there is something for just about everyone. Cheeseburgers and fries were solid as was the Philly Cheese Chicken sandwich. The meat for the burger was nice as I could tell it was a fresh patty that had been handmade, not frozen patties. The view is great as you are right on the beach and pier. The bar serves these huge drinks that people can pick up from a walk up window. You are basically drinking out of a bucket. Staff was nice, but overwhelmed the next day when we went for lunch. The Doctor and I got there early because his meeting ended, so we were able to place our order right away. But there was a crush of people and only one bartender/server working the whole place. No idea who was in the kitchen, but all folks working there were doing their best to hit everyone. Made props to them for working that room. The next day there were two people serving, so it went a lot smoother. Decent place for a meal and a view and bubbles. read more

Stopped in while on a walk of the beach for a drink. Drinks are expensive, you're paying for the view. The bartender was nice, but slow at making drinks. Unsure if it was just our group or what, but he was quicker and more talkative with the other patrons. I'm not sure if the bar is responsible for the pier or the hotel, but it's $30/person to walk on it! Insanity! read more

Friendly & prompt service. Indoor and outdoor seating on the pier. Indoor bar. Family friendly. I really enjoyed the menu since it didn't have too many items but still a good variety of grill food, seafood. I ordered the cheeseburger and it was very good and big. I could tell the burger wasn't a frozen patty and the toppings were all fresh. It was also cooked and seasoned perfectly. Overall the place is pretty nice and clean newly modeled layout and very clean bathrooms. Most seating has a pretty good view of the ocean front. read more

My husband and I went in for lunch. He ordered a hamburger and I ordered BLT. His hamburger was still raw and grease had sogged the bun. He sent it back to get cooked and it returned unchanged. The bacon on the BLT was undoubtedly cooked previously and just heated up. The whole meal was awful. A complete waste of $36.00. Do not recommend. read more

Arrived at 7:50 PM to order a drink and was turned away because they close at 8 PM or. Woman was not friendly whatsoever. I wouldn't go to an establishment 10 minutes before they close to order food, but ordering a drink is a different thing entirely. No wonder the writing is so low. While there are very few gluten free options, the grilled chicken salad is a safe bet, if you order without the crispy tortillas in it. The lemon vinaigrette dressing that comes with it was amazing! I also liked that we had a nice view of the pier and beach. read more

They're doing lots of upgrades to the resort, I'm fairly sure this will reach Southern Tide. They were out of a lot of beers. Their martini's were served in rocks classes. And the food tasted like it was fried in last weeks grease. The staff was nice. The view was great. read more

Service and food was poor, out of creamer for coffee at 9 am and who the heck goes to a fishing pier and expects to pay 25 bucks for breakfast for 2..Sure the Hilton addition will destroy the heritage of the springmaid faciltiy before it is over..
