He was unsympathetic and Unapologetic that I would now have to wait for the paint to dry and sand it down and repaint it. I have been living in West Salem for over 30 years and never dealt with anyone so unprofessional and condescending. He must be related to the owner because he has no customer service skills and doesn't care that I was upset about our interaction. I was buying more rollers when I went there.

BEWARE!!! This used to be the best plumbing supply store in…read moreSalem, not any longer! Sure, they great you with a friendly smile, call you neighbor. And that's when the good ends. 1st they Sold me a delta faucet with missing pieces, that I only found out when installing, so with my plumber on the clock, I had to drive from my Dallas home in the middle of my project, to their store Salem, then when Saffron didn't have the parts, I had go across town to get from another store. Not a big deal. When first buying the faucet, I mentioned I had other plumbing projects to do, they said they would have someone contact me to give a bid. Later Brent Hunt from Saffron called, set a time, we met. Spent an hour going over my property, describing what I needed, and I drew him maps as the project involved 3 wells on 6 acres. He got back to me later with a bid that said it included all labor and materials for what we talked about, but it wasn't itemized or detailed. (My mistake not requesting a break down) but it did say all labor and materials. I agreed to the bid, we set a date. Days before the start date, Brent texts asking if I wanted a hydrant in a different location than I showed him. I said no, told him to refer to the map we gave him. He then said that he may have under estimated the pipe needed and there may be "extra" costs. But the bid said "all labor and materials" included. The workers showed up on the start day, nice young men, and started telling me what their plan was for the day. 1st thing was to clean my 2000 gallon water tank, and then they would cut out my concrete pad. I said that Brent told me they would horizontal drill under the pad, as I didn't want it cut up, and they said that's not what they do. I told them to hold off on that and I would call Brent. I said they could start the cleaning and maybe work on separating the two water sources that both feed that tank, they said they couldn't do that either, as it would require a new pump and pressure tank. I said wait on that I'll call Brent. I went inside my home to call Brent, who immediately said I was wrong, that we didn't talk about horizontal drilling, and that's why he wanted to put my hydrant in a different spot?!? The out and out lies, the completely unprofessional bid, the omission of any details so he could add charges later! I said never mind the work. Tell your crew to leave. I then went to the crew, told them what had transpired and that we wouldn't be using their services, and they said they had already added the cleaner to my water. I asked how long and what charges I would get for the tank cleaning, they said 2 hours plus the cleaner. I agreed and went inside. Brent called them, told them to leave then, with the cleaner still in my water supply, effectively preventing us from using our water. This isn't ok. No one should be held hostage by poorly written bids that imply a scope of work that the service provider changed based on their wants. I will be investigating legal options. At the very least, I hope this helps other avoid a company that don't care about their clients. Maybe that's why they recently had to change their CCB number.

The delivery guys put it in place, plugged it in, and basically said that's it. They would not connect the water line for the icemaker because it's copper from the basement to the kitchen, and then flex plastic to the refer. 'We can't, there is copper.' Called Lowe's and got the same story, call devolved to 'but it's plastic to the unit' / 'but there is copper, you can do it yourself or call a contractor.' Would have been nice to know that before we turned the water off. Of course the fittings for the prev unit don't fit. Asked the delivery guys if they could cap the loose line so we could turn the water on, primal shrug on their way out the door. Sullen, uncommunicative, unhelpful, and charged for an install kit they did not use. No more Lowes, ever.

Really great hardware store…read more The staff was always friendly and said hello as I walked by. They asked if I needed any help with anything as I walked towards their designated areas. They have people stationed at certain areas of the store. It seems to be that's were their speciality is. The store was clean and easy to find where I was going. Signs are clearly labeled and large so you can see. Both in English and Spanish which I thought was cool. When I went to check out I realized I forgot my card and they said they could look me up in their system which was kind of them to do. It helped me get the discount I was wanting when I went to shop. Don't be afraid to ask how to do something! They love helping when you are trying to start a new project. A couple years back my dad wanted to build a fort for me and my brother. They got him everything he needed to build us a great fort! Thanks Home Depot! Overall great place to go for help with fixing, building, or repairing items.

Kilgore Blackman has amazing service and great pricing…read more One of the worst things about being a contractor is needing to buy materials in areas near jobsites and that usually ends up being at orange or blue box stores where the staff is not knowledgeable or friendly, and the product is sub par. Not at Kilgore Blackman. I stopped in to grab some blades and was greeted by every staff member I went by, offered help and solutions, and I was amazed at their selection and competitive pricing. I also found out they were a Windsor One Millwork dealer (a rarity for building suppliers) so I had to try them out. The trim came in next day and was in perfect condition. I look forward to the next time I can do business with these guys!

This information is not disclosed when you make an order. The website simply says call customer service to modify your order. The policies on if delivered items are left out in the winter weather and damaged, or stolen, are not on the website, despite customer service stating they are. Nor will customoer service send you a copy of their policies. The resolutions department will offer to call vendors, but if the vendor has already shipped the item you are out of luck. This experience was with the resolutions department. The call to customer service was less than 24 hours after making the order. The first call ended being disconnected, or they hung up on me. I do not know which. I canceled most of the order. That also can not be done online despite the website saying you can. I had to call them again. I do like the local store. Online orders delivered from there are also fine. But for anything else online I am unlikely to patronize Home Depot again. There are plenty of other local options.
