I had been having a major toothache for two days prior to going in to Southridge Dental. I happen to call in on Thursday morning right when they opened at 7:30 and I was able to get in the very same day at 11 AM. The office staff was very friendly and the office waiting room was very clean. I have to admit I was nervous about this appointment because I have not had my wisdom teeth removed. (Removal has always been in my cards but I've put it off for many years because I've never had any issues with them.) After a few x-rays and a quick exam Dr. Hahn explain to me what was happening with one of my wisdom teeth. It was in my best interest to have the two on the right extracted. I let him know my fears and he was able to calm me down. I was very surprised that he was able to do the extraction the very same day. Dr. Hahn explained everything he was doing and he was very gentle and thorough when it comes to the local anesthetic. I was expecting some thing major and stress myself out for nothing because the removal process took about 10 minutes and I did not feel a thing! The office staff was able to call in a prescription for me so by the time I got to the pharmacy my pain medication was ready. I am on day four of my recovery and my gums are healing up well. I have also not had to use any of my pain medication. I'm not sure if it's due to my own body or because of how Dr. Hahn was able to extract the teeth. Either way I highly recommend seeing Dr. Hahn at Southridge dental he was awesome and so was his nurse! read more

I really liked Dr Hahn and his hygienist...his back office staff were always amazing to me. But, his receptionist Jackie was, on several occasions very rude to me. I had called to rescheduled an appointment because I was sick, then I had to reschedule my next appointment because I was scheduled to work...my schedule usually comes out on a Thursday, sometimes on a busy week, it doesn't come out till Thursday night. I called on a Friday to reschedule, but their office isn't open on Friday. When I called on Monday (my appointment day) Jackie was very rude, with a very poor attitude. I realize when you don't make an appointment you get charged a fee, but to have it told to me so rudely. It's too bad Dr Hahn doesn't have front desk as nice as he is. I haven't gone back to him because of the rude front desk staff. read more

Dr. Hahn no question is a great dentist, however, I don't understand why he allow his front desk to be so unreasonable not allowing patients drive to wait inside(the waiting room was empty) but in their car under the over 100 degree weather. I complained last year and was hoping they will change, yes, instead they want you to leave, they post a hand written note by the door saying "must have appointment before you are allow to go in " . Looks we will have to change dentist and also telling every friends and family members that we had recommended not to go there anymore. read more

I love the dentist and the hygienist! I am terrified of dental procedure, and Dr. Hahn cured my fears! However the communication between staff is poor. I had a cleaning pain up fromt but due to my gums bleeding I was told to let them rest and come back in a few weeks and she would finish for me. I just needed to have them polished but she didn't want to do that with the gum issue. So I went back she finished up and I was told up front I owed an additional $80. I explained that I already paid the fist time and that she couldn't finish and she said "no that was separate. Had I know this or told this I would have not went back. Being in a fixed income due to terminal illness polished teeth is the least of my concerns. I won't be going back and it's sad because Byron Hahn and his back office staff are amazing. read more

I'm not a big fan of the dentist, but this group makes me feel at ease and welcome. They are so kind, that I decided to bring my daughter to this location. Growing up, I wasn't thrilled going to a kiddie dentist due to some underwhelming visits, so I introduced my kid to this dental group. It started with a warm greeting from the awesome ladies at the front desk. Jackie and Jane made my child feel comfortable. The fabulous dental hygenist who helped my child was over-the-top amazing. I wasn't able to be in the area with her, but this lady was a pro. She was positive, happy and helped my little through the process. (Sadly, I can't recall her name and I"m sorry.) When Dr. Hahn met with my calm child, he too was calm and made her feel at home. Needless to say, everything went well and I couldn't have been happier to have my kid visit the office. Thank you to everyone for making my child feel at home and providing a painless experience. I could learn a lot from the bravery of my kid. read more

Stay away!! Although this looks like a nice family practice, which is hard to find, they are impossible to work with. Trying to schedule an appointment for a new patient is hard at best. The front desk staff had no care or desire to help. With a new insurance plan that became active today, they require an additional full month before they can even make an appointment. I have been going here for years and love all of the staff but the front counter lady Jackie. Since the day I have gone here she has been awful towards me and completely rude to deal with. I have never written reviews but I felt like it was time to share. I have even mentioned it to my hygienist on several occasions. Anytime in person or over the phone she has always had an unpleasant attitude towards me. Beware of this place! On my first initial visit, Dr. Hahn told me I might have 8 cavities, but my dentist I had before (3 months since that visit) said my teeth were very healthy but stained. Dr. Hahn was unsure that they may be just stains, since I drink a lot of iced tea. He told me to stop drinking tea, buy a certain type of whitening toothpaste and mouthwash and when I return for my next visit to determine what is the next step, drill and fillings or just cleaning. When I returned 2 months later, he didn't even look at my progress, he just said were going to drill. I tried to explain to him what he had said on the last visit but he didn't listen and just said they were cavities. He said he was going to do as many fillings as he can because of how much Novocaine is going to be used and to watch my blood pressure. My blood pressure got very high after 4 fillings and I had to take some time to relax (20 minutes) and then he continued. After 2 more fillings, my blood pressure went thru the roof and I had to sit there with a cold compress on my forehead for 35 mins!!! I told the doctor lets schedule the rest for a later date, but he insisted to continue, that it would be OK. He had to add more Novocaine...after 10 mins, my blood pressure went up and he didn't stop, he said he was almost done. I finally put my foot down and said leave the last filling for another time. He agreed. I visited my previous dentist and had him look at that last "cavity", he said it wasn't a cavity and it was just a stain. The only reason I had to change dentists was my previous dentist stop taking my insurance. Get a second opinion before trusting this establishment. read more

Absolutely not! I have gone to Southridge Dental since I was in Elementary school, I even got veneers done by Dr. Nash (the original owner) when they were on Wigwam and Pecos in the early 2000's. I followed them with new owners and location changes, I am now 30 and take my daughter there as well. I am a single mom and asked to be billed at time of service for my daughters last appointment, I never got a bill in the mail, but called to schedule her yearly and they said they couldn't since I owed, it was $60 and I IMMEDIATELY (with in 5 mins of the news) paid but since it was old and sent to collections (even tho I never got a call or bill) I would have to pay cash and bill myself. After 20+ years of going to the same place with no issues and being told because of one $60 bill I immediately paid after finding out about that I have to start paying cash! Absolutely NOT! I am a manager at one of the largest hospitals in Vegas, and believe with annual enrollments and all the talk about insurances, I will be sure to spread the word to not come here purely based on customer service and apparently a 1 strike you're out rule. Disappointed to say the least which is sad, because the provider himself is a joy! This is the only way I am able to respond Dr. Hahn, and no thank you. I would decline your offer and have no desire to again contact your office staff. Myself, my parents, my brother, and my child will no longer be returning (well after my fathers appointment, as he has already paid cash up front for his procedure) and though none of us have ever not paid a bill to include veneers that we're paid in full, crowns, and even tooth extraction. And with one negative interaction and how your office choose to treat not just a customer but a long term loyal patient, we will all be going else where. Again, you are great but as someone who manages employees who work with clinic staff, I know how important customer service especially when you're the first point of contact is and this 'one shot' and considering no other factors is completely unacceptable! read more

A year and a half after covid quarantine and after postponing the dentist for a few years, I was searching for a dentist that I would like. Dr. Hahn is the best dentist I have ever had as well as his assistant and i have been to many dentist. Dr. Hahn is great he explains everything to you and takes the time to answer your questions. He's very patient. I get nervous when going to a dentist but Dr.Hahn and his Assistant will reassure you and make you feel comfortable. He makes a treatment plan and explains it to you. His treatment area is clean and comfortable. I have to say there is one front office lady that is not a nice person and doesn't know about patient care and customer service. At my first appointment she called me when I was 5 min late then yelled reprimanded me in public for being 8 min late. She stated . They only run ontime. I almost never came back but Dr. Hahn is the best and does good work and only because he is, is the reason I came back. read more

I recently returned from an overseas trip (3/1/2020) and had an appointment with your office the next day after I returned (3/2/2020). I spoke with Jackie the morning of my appointment to try to explain to her that I needed to reschedule due to severe jet lag, the first reply I got was the $60 I would be charged to reschedule. A HUGE part of customer service is making the customer feel like they've made the right choice in choosing a dentist, especially when they do not like the dentist office to begin with. Jackie did not do that. She was focused on the policy and not my reason for not being able to make my appointment. An apology is not an admission of guilt, it is a display of empathy, so if Jackie would've been more empathic towards my situation instead of focusing on what it would cost me to reschedule, I may have continued to come to your office. Instead, her demeanor over the phone was a lack of interest in what I had to say. Because of this, I will choose another office, and will not be recommending your office to anyone I know. You've lost a customer and if and when Jackie finds out, I'm sure she won't care at all because your policies were upheld. Maybe no one from your office will care....... read more

Dr. Hahn also is great with my youngest daughter who has a great deal of anxiety about needles, so he has provided pre-treatment options that have worked out wonderfully. I also appreciate the helpful and positive team - everyone from the front office to the dental assistants are supportive and nice. Get a second opinion before trusting any advice given here!! I went here to have a 5 year old filling replaced because a small piece chipped off. Byronn Hahn said I needed a crown so I took his advice. After they filed my tooth down and I had a temporary cap for about a week, I returned to the office to have the permanent crown cemented on. My tooth hurt everyday after the permanent crown. I couldn't eat, drink, or even chew without pain. So when I went back to the office complaining about a non stop toothache caused by their procedure, I was then told I may need a root canal. I explained to the dentist and dental assistant that prior to them working on this tooth, I had NO PAIN whatsoever, I wanted it fixed basically for esthetic and preventative purpose......so why would I all of the sudden need a root canal on a tooth that was painless prior to him working on it?? Mr Hahn then said that maybe I just needed my bite adjusted. So I had to go back for four adjustments, yes four. Each adjustment he filed the crown lower and lower and said "oh yes, the crown is too high, her bite is off". After each adjustment, the pain decreased so I was hoping he would get the adjustment down to the correct level and my bite would be back to normal again. The issue was obviously that the crown was too big for my mouth; not that I needed a root canal. After the fourth adjustment Mr Hahn told me I would have to pay 40$ for any further adjustments. He also said he may not even be able to perform any further adjustments because the crown was filed down to its furthest point (without exposing the cement). So I never went back. Why do I need to return four times so he can try to correct his mistake? And then pay 40$ on his 5th attempt at trying to adjust the bite. If it was sized properly before cementing, this wouldn't have happened. You could clearly see that his crown was the highest and biggest tooth in my mouth. How difficult is it to put a proper sized crown in a row of teeth and match up the level correctly? On top of months long of toothaches caused by him, the ladies at the front desk were very rude. They never smile and looked at me like I was crazy because I kept returning for adjustments. Byronn Hahn does not give good dental work at all. He messed up my tooth and rather than fixing it, he masks his bad work by recommending a root canal to kill a perfectly fine nerve and prescribes pain meds to Dull the pain caused by his improper dental work. I ended up going to another dentist where I had to get ANOTHER crown done completely over. The dentist sized it correctly the FIRST time and NO root canal was needed. I wish I could give this place four negative stars for each failed painful adjustment. read more
