I experienced an incredibly difficult and unfair night that has left me deeply frustrated. My fiance and I were vending at a community event for Ramadan, a sacred month in which we fast for 30 days. As we were packing up, our car was suddenly towed around 4 AM, leaving us stranded an hour away from home, in freezing cold weather, all while we had been explicitly directed to park in that parking lot by an officer. We were not the only ones affected. At least 10 other vendors experienced the same situation. What makes this even more distressing is the timing as during Ramadan, we must stop eating at sunrise (5 AM). As vendors, we had no time to properly eat or drink water after an entire night of working. This left us in an incredibly vulnerable and inhumane situation, forced to scramble for a ride while dealing with the shock of what had just happened. To make matters worse, the towing fee was outrageously high and after working tirelessly for hours, we essentially lost everything we earned just to get our car back. This feels like nothing short of targeted mistreatment, and considering the nature of the event, it raises serious concerns. Was this intentional? Who authorized this? Why were we told to park there, only to be punished for it? I understand regulations exist, but this was beyond unfair, it was cruel. I called to share my experience and got told the advisor for the location was not there. I demand an immediate response from Gary Hernandez, as this situation cannot go ignored. Employee "Rose" from south side towing is by far the most miserable person I have ever met. When asking questions about why our car had been towed (which was a predatory tow by the way) she rudely interrupted everything we tried to say. She was as unpleasant to us as her yeast infection probably is to her. This company is also misrepresenting the US Marine Corp by posting large stickers on the side of their trucks but none of the drivers are actually veterans (only their boss is) and their attitudes are very disrespectful. We have reported this towing company to the Better Business Bureau and if you've had a similar experience, I recommend you do the same. Rose also lied to us by saying the Police Department of Anaheim authorized the tow but when we went to the police station to personally talk to an officer about predatory towing he informed us that the police department in fact did NOT authorize this tow. I want to add that this is the first time I have ever left a negative comment on yelp but this company crossed so many lines, I felt inclined to let the public know. As for Rose, I have faith that karma will act swiftly upon her and I wish her the best in her miserable life. I am grateful and appreciative of Southside Towing hiring a gentleman, showman, and stark professional, Shawn Davison(IS 724) out of the Costa Mesa office. My Wife and I were coming from my nephew's graduation ceremony. Afterwards, the family decided to go to a restaurant. On our way to the restaurant, several things occured sporaticly; the car was having trouble, and the pair of shoes I wore to my nephew's graduation had come undone at the heal, rendering them unwearble. Due to my shoes coming undone, I had to change the front left rear tire in black socks, at night, in the South Coast Plaza parking lot. Since I am no mechanic, therefore not qualified to properly assess the cause of the car trouble, I requested assistance. Once Shawn Davison of Southside Towing showed up, I asked him for his opinion. His opinion was objective, and insightful. During the time it took Shawn Davison to give his opinion about what may have caused the trouble with the car, put the vehicle on the bed of the tow truck, and then set the GPS to provide the best route to take to our destination, I and my wife had a lot of laughs, an engaging conversation expanded across an array of topics, yet all the while not once comprominsing his professional integrity. Southside Towing is Amazing! On Saturday night my car got impounded because I chose to park at Del Taco instead of Angel's Stadium to avoid the $15.00 parking charge. I have learned I would much rather pay 15 dollars to park at the stadium than try to get away with parking illegally where "your car will be towed if you use this for stadium parking" signs are posted. The $322 it cost to get my car out was worth it because I will never forget this lesson. Lesson being: Obey the law! Praise God! Jeremy and the other gentleman (who's name I did not get) kept their shop open for 1 hr and 1/2 in the middle of the night so I could wait in a safe enviroment until my significant other showed up to pay the fine I brought on myself. Jeremy and the other gentlemen were extremely kind, caring and very interesting people to be around while I waited. They have a difficult job and probably get yelled at a lot so I do not envy them!. Yesterday, my car started overheating while I was driving home from Tustin to Riverside on the 241 toll road. Traffic was stopped in the two right lanes as usual, so I had to park in the median. Kind of scary. Called AAA. They said it would be about 20 minutes, which turned into 2.5 hours. A highway patrol office waited with me the whole time. I have been very ill and it was my first venture out in quite a while. It turns out AAA called a different tow company but they were too busy. That tow company called Southside Towing two hours after I made my first call. The driver, Harry Silao, called and told me he would be there within 20 minutes. He arrived within that time frame. I was told by AAA that my car would be towed to Corona, then another driver would take me and my car home. Harry took me all the way home. He brightened my mood and made me laugh out loud. It was worth the hassle of breaking down on a busy highway during rush hour to meet a genuinely good, kind, and efficient person who cares about other people. A few months back I had my car stolen. Southside Towing had picked it up. I was so happy that it had been found. I live about 2 1/2 hours away from the tow yard and it was already pretty late when I received the where abouts of my car. It was a far drive but crew on the phones were very sweet, helpful and assured me that someone would be there to help me when I arrived. When I did arrive they were so helpful. I didn't even recognize my car because it had be vandalized. The windshield was busted, key was missing, windows were left rolled down (the tow yard covered them with plastic which was so nice) , all four tires were flat!! The tow crew kindly refilled my tires and pulled my car off the lot. Then they helped me out with some local 24 hour locksmiths to make me a new key, they checked under the hood to see if any other damage was done. The person who had my car drained all the oil, and somehow the battery acid out. The whole crew went out of there way to help me out at a Very stressful time. I would recommend them to anyone!! Getting your car towed is a crappy thing. There's no way around having that bad feeling. However, this review is based on the people that work at Southside Towing in Orange. The people at this establishment we're extremely professional and compassionate. I didn't speak to the owner, however, I was told he was a good person by his supervisor and the end result was that the owner was a good and decent man. My relatives car was towed under questionable circumstances. Please note: The tow company was the third party and only towed the vehicle because they were asked to. Again, when the owner of this tow company was spoken to by my relative and a third party, the owner accepted the circumstances and allowed the car to be released without any charge. This morning, my fiancé's car was towed, and I was shocked to find that the fee was $570, despite picking it up just a few hours later. When I inquired about the reasons for the towing, I was informed that they are not required to provide any pictures of the violation. I expressed my concern that this policy allows for arbitrary towing, and the representative confirmed that it could happen. When I requested her name, she refused to provide it. During our conversation around 11:30 AM, I mentioned my intent to take further action, and she warned that I could be counter-sued if I did. She also refused to give me an email address, prompting me to call back and request to speak with a manager, which I did. Hello! Four months ago I had the privilidge of having my car towed by Southside because I was illegially parked in a parking lot that had signs posted all over "Your Car Will Be Towed If". So I was in the wrong. Jeremy was totally awesome. it was midnight by the time I got to the car yard (towing place) and they kept the place open till my dad could come help me pay the fee. It was very nice to sit in a warm, lit place instead of having to wait until the next day or outside in an unsafe neighborhood. Yes, this place is a little hard to find, however, the customer service was awesome and everyone up that late at night treated me very well. Had an excellent experience with Southside Towing thanks to Junior. My tire gave out on the freeway, and I was stuck in a stressful situation. Junior arrived quickly, was professional, friendly, and immediately put me at ease. He helped safely pull my car off the freeway and made sure everything was handled with care. It's not often you come across someone who goes above and beyond during an emergency, but Junior did exactly that. I have a 2017 Toyota Tacoma. My car was towed for absolutely no reason while it was parked on my driveway (supposedly for being not being deep enough into my driveway). Despite me coming out of my house at 3:00 in the morning to ask him why my car was being towed he proceeded to tell me how I parked illegally when I wasn't. I had to leave my work today to drive all the way to orange to get my car back just to see that there were multiple scratches on it. I bet if i called them to tell them they scratched my car they would absolutely do nothing about it knowing these crooks. Its a shame businesses cant be run legit anymore. read more

I had a terrible experience with Southside Towing. My car was perfectly clean before they towed it, but when I picked it up, it was covered in dirty water and stains -- clearly from them washing other cars nearby without any protection for mine. Even worse, my rear bumper was damaged while under their care. For the high fee they charged, this careless and unprofessional handling is unacceptable.
