They are not the cheapest around but they're also not the most expensive and for the quality of service they provide there's no need to go anywhere else. First off, let me say I used to go to a different BMW shop in Vegas exclusively until I was completely ignored and everyone at that shop was very pretentious. I was driving through St George on the highway on Sunday late afternoon when my BMW suddenly flashed a Drivetrain Malfunction error message on the infotainment screen. I experienced a loss of power and the car went into limp mode. I was able to pull off to the shoulder and stop and restart the car. The error message didn't reappear but now the Check Engine Light was illuminated. Being so far from home in SoCal, I was concerned about making it home. Made it fine to Las Vegas that night and immediately started searching for highly rated repair shops for BMWs. I tried to make an appointment online with 3 shops. 2 of the shops told me to bring the car in at 8:30am. Hannah replied via email to confirm an appointment for 9:30am. I decided to try the other two shops first so asked Hannah to cancel my appointment. When I arrived early at 8:20am at the first shop, the service advisor told me they wouldn't be able to start diagnosing the issue for at least 2-3 hours. I called the other shop up and they said their BMW mechanic doesn't arrive until and he still has 2 cars to work on first. Why tell me to come in at 8:30am when your mechanics won't be able to get to my car until much later? So I emailed Hannah back and asked if i could still bring my car in at 9:30. She said yes. When I arrived, I was greeted by Melissa who was just amazing. Such a pleasure to deal with. She explained that the diagnosis would take an hour and she would have a mechanic start on it immediately. Depending on what issues they found, the fix could take as some time. She was aware that I was from out of town so they would make every attempt to get me on my way as soon as possible. She said I could wait in their comfortable waiting area or she could order me an Uber to take me back to the hotel. I chose to wait in the waiting room where there's a fridge stocked with coke and sprite. There's also a keurig machine for coffee. There are magazines and a TV with Disney +, Netflix, Amazon, etc that customers can enjoy while relaxing on the sofas or lazy boy recliner. The restroom was clean and tidy. The team did a great job thoroughly checking everything. Turned out it was just the 2 year old battery which was most likely defective that was out of spec and needed replacing. I was so impressed with how Melissa and Anthony prioritized getting me safely back on the road quickly knowing that my peace of mind was important being far from home. Highly recommend. We got stuck with an air ride suspension failure in the rear of a 2017 BMW X5 Southwest kept us updated and did all the work within a few hours to get us back on the road. I called on a Wednesday to confirm if I could just bring in my fem module to be coded as I was having an issue with my zgm module I was told yes to come in around 3. I arrive and within 15 mins am told the tech programming doesn't want to bench flash my fem without the vehicle due to the error I advised I'm getting which was given over the phone prior to arrival. I'm told to tow the vehicle in the next day (Thursday) for programming which I do. I call to make sure the vehicle arrived as I did not go with the tow truck and am asked if I want some other things fixed on the vehicle to which I decline and ask that they just focus on the fem module. The entire day goes by with zero updates so I reach out again and just before 5 I get a text saying they'll have more info tomorrow. It's now Friday afternoon around 2pm I call, no answer, I text asking for an update I get a response at 4pm "Hi still working on it I hope to have answer end of day or first thing Monday morning". I respond and say if the work can't be completed that I would just come back and have the car towed back home before 5pm. I get a text at 5pm "no luck with programming we put the car into neutral underneath in the transmission so it's easier to move. We just pushed it outside the shop." So I have a tow bring it back home. When I look under the car to take it out of manual neutral I see the bolt is stripped and appears as though a hand drill was used to put it into neutral so it was also over tightened so now I can't get it out of the manual neutral position. When I text them to ask how this was done I got no response. I'm disappointed in the experience, the service and the now damage I have to fix as a whole. read more

The shop was super comfortable and she was very professional and put me at ease in a stressful situation. They got to work on it immediately and had me out of there within 2 hours for only a few hundred dollars. Stopped by to see if they could fix a charging issue on a hybrid BMW X5. They warned that only the authorized dealership could work the high voltage system, but they could at least pull the error codes and confirm whether the 12v charging (which they would be able to service) had a problem. They hooked up my Bimmer to their scan tool, ran diagnostics, and saw trouble codes pointing to problems with high voltage system. Unfortunately, they can't address these, so I'd have to go to dealership. The charge for their time and attention to my vehicle's issue: $0 My experience with Southwest Bimmers tells me they would be reliable, economical, and methodical if my car's issue would be serviceable by them. read more

I was referred to Southwest Bimmers by another auto repair shop who couldn't perform what I needed on my BMW, and I am beyond grateful for the referral! First of all, shout out to Anthony for making me feel like a valued customer off the bat with even the first phone call. Very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. Anthony even went the extra mile of helping me talk to my extended warranty people to get the most repaired and covered that I could. He told them everything that was wrong with my vehicle, got my approval, and knocked out everything they would cover within a day or two. They didn't perform any work I didn't ask for, they didn't push me to come back for extra work, they never made me feel pressured or panicked which goes a long way, because I get anxiety about car repair shops! I strongly prefer bringing my car here to the BMW dealership, where they constantly push me to get extra work done and spend more money. Pretty disappointing experience overall. We originally found SW Bimmers to recode our E46 because we replaced the headlights with aftermarket ones. SWBimmers was beyond excellent. They had the E46 for two days coding it with multiple computers until it worked. That was fantastic! They kept calling and keeping us up to date with the work being done. We then took our new to us E92 to them after purchasing it online. They did an inspection and determined a coil pack needed replacing and the transmission side cover gasket as well due to a transmission leak. They also said the drivers side seat belt could stand to be replaced. While they were going to fix that up I had them change the oil and the remaining spark plugs and coils. That was quite pricey. Well. While they had my car three mysterious chemical spots appeared on the roof and there were two fresh paint scratches. They also had the car for 7 days. Within those seven days we were the ones having to constantly call for updates. I don't think once they called us during this period. After finally been given the run around saying they don't have the seatbelt in we're getting frustrated and then they say they got it and can finish the car. I get the car back. We spoke with them regarding the chemical spots on the car and fresh scratches. They said they'll check their cameras to see if perhaps it was stored under a car which was on a lift. They said they'd call back. They never have. This was early Jan. Within the week shoot even the next day there's more fluid on the ground in the driveway. Having just got the car late December we were still new to the car and wanted to begin experiencing it. Well today after a bit before our warranty runs out we took the car to BMW dealership this morning to be told it's leaking from the same "Transmission Pan Assembly - Side cover gasket". The same gasket SWBimmers had my car for several days in order to fix. So what exactly did you do while you had my car for several days? The drivers side seatbelt grabber thing works half the time so I guess that's better than when I brought the car in.. They came in clutch to re-code an older car and then just dropped the ball with communication and apparently fixing the problem with this E92. Upon having the car serviced at BMW and being told the fluid leak is from the exact same spot that SWBimmers charged the warranty company to fix is why I'm posting this review. I now have to see if the warranty service will pay for the same work to be done again. read more

Wanted to repost here. I was looking around to fix an issue with my 2004 bmw Z4, it was stalling randomly in traffic. I brought it here to get the issue diagnosed and fixed. Not only could they not replicate the issue, they did not check the recalls for the vehicle. The issue was a fuel vapor lock problem that had an active recall on the vehicle. Has to be the worst money I've spent in my life, I'd trust a backyard mechanic over these thiefs. -- edit for the reply below I have already sold the car, you can tell they are liars when you look at my vin and see that the vapor lock recall was done recently on it. I specifically asked them to look for recalls to find out what it could be. They are a joke and shouldn't be trusted with basic due diligence. THESE GUYS ARE AWESOME AND REALLY KNOW THEIR STUFF!!!! DISCLAIMER: BMW'S ARE EXPENSIVE, THIS IS NOT A RANDOM PHENOMENON!!!! Now that is out of the way, on to my story... I find myself in utter bewilderment one morning as to why my car is even thinking about running like crap. It knows better. So, I called the Doctors at southwest bimmers and they jumped right on this sucker like two spider monkeys that just found a whole trail of bananas. Wouldn't you know that my luck was the absolute worst. Cracked valve cover, crack in my radiator, two leaking hoses and a whole mess of misfires. My car had apparently decided to go full retard. They where as nice as they could be as there really isn't any good way to break bad news. I got the work done. Told Anthony to give me a price and let's get it done. Two days later, car was done but they kept it a little longer just to make sure no check engine light or anything like that would come on. Everything has been great so far and all the work was done quickly and looks extremely clean. They even went above and beyond to help me with several other problems the car was having and gave her a total once over just to make sure everything was good to go. I was also told to be expecting a call in a week or two so they can just double check that everything is working well with the car. They even hooked me up with a headlight bulb. I can't recommend this shop enough. Oh, and that recliner is the tits!!! Lol. read more

I had the misfortune of my 2014 BMW 328dx biting the proverbial dust while on vacation in Las Vegas. First I was going to take the car to BMW of Las Vegas on W. Sahara but the towing company lost my car (true story). I noticed the dealership was operating in air conditioned portables for their Service Advisors and customers were waiting outside in the desert heat. With this extra time due to my car being lost by the towing company I looked around yelp and google. I also went a little further to verify that shops I was looking at had 100% genuine reviews. I went with Southwest Bimmers. The first call I presume Hannah answered the phone and told me to bring the car on by to have it looked at. I got to their location and what an impressive shop. Not only is everyone super nice, they have recliners in the waiting room with all the same amenities as a proper dealership (drinks, coffee, water and a television) but I digress. I let Anthony know that the tow truck should be there with my car in about an hour. Well after an hour of waiting for the truck that was perpetually an hour away, Anthony let me know that they could take the car without me being there. This was awesome and so appreciated. Anthony called me a couple times to verify that the car didn't show up at set intervals and then again when it did finally show up! Sad diagnosis for the car and fuel system. On July 3rd the shop closed early but a nice tech was still working on cars Devin. I showed up with a uHaul truck/car trailer to pick up my car. Devin called Anthony to arrange for me to pay the diagnostic fee and allow me to pick up the car. Devin even helped me get the car onto the trailer. I was not expecting that! Absolutely amazing experience. I can guarantee you that any other shop I would have gone to or dealership would have told me to hit the road and return on the next business day (in this case, Monday!). I can't rave enough about this shop. Although I could not afford to make proper repairs this time around, I looked through the estimate and it was very fair. Parts were not marked up beyond reason and labor totally reasonable. Thanks again everyone at Southwest Bimmers for everything! Hannah and the crew at Southwest Bimmers are amazing. My mini is out of warranty and didn't start for me. I called in and asked if she could test the alternator and batt she said of course come in anytime before 6! I sat down filled out a easy form and while doing so she informed me that they would do it free of charge, and they offer also offer car service if I needed to be somewhere. I gave her my keys and she told me to make myself at home and help myself to anything I needed; they have WiFi, a little living room set up with a coffee table and electric fire place and cable tv above it and drinks. Even though this was just a battery issue everyone SWBimmers made me feel at ease, I hate going to auto shops where just because they see a women they think they can swindle you. I appreciate the honesty and most of all reasonable prices. read more

If you turn the clock back 6-12 months this would be a 5 start review. But fair is fair so I'll start with the good: They not only were willing to pick up my car but when I would drop it off and they couldn't drive me home they paid for Uber. Now let's talk reality: My 2003 Z3 has spent about as much time in their shop as it has in my possession for the past several months. This is not because of new problems, but because it takes them so much time for the 1st fix and then I need to inevitably return it to be fixed again. They don't charge to correct their errors but my car almost lives there. If they could fix the issues the 1st time I would have been very happy. The latest issue was the air conditioner. It took about 10 days for them to diagnose and change a valve. They were nice enough to deliver the car. The next morning - no A/C. I was told they "wore out the valve testing it." I'm not saying they're not very nice people. And I won't use the word "incompetent" but something is wrong when they take forever to fix a car and then need to have it returned to fix the same problem again. I did tell the owner (Hannah) about the issues and while I hope she was receptive it doesn't help me now. I'll find another shop. read more

Mixed bag-- In terms of service, expect prompt and very friendly front office attention, easy scheduling, laid-back drop off and pick up. In my experience across the years, they have always spent the time required answering questions, although explanations of what is going on with your car can be a bit vague at times. Don't expect photos or videos of the issues, like what you might get from some BMW service dealerships, but I have found the work is adequate and the prices are fair. So far, I have not had my jaw drop to the floor or feel as though I have to second mortgage my home to pay their bills. My last time here, it was mentioned they can provide shuttle rides or loaners but this current visit, it was almost like I was asking something out of the norm. So plan your own transportation accordingly. My most recent concern is that they are taking zero precautions for Covid. The front desk staff is not wearing mask or gloves, they're not sanitizing or wiping down the cars. If you choose to wait in the waiting area, seating is normal and you sit pretty close to everyone else. It does not appear they are disinfecting anything, there was no hand sanitizer visible and I never saw anyone wipe anything down in the waiting area or restroom. It's 'all systems go per normal.' That's really disappointing, and also goes against Nevada phase 2 reopening regulations. When I was there, 100% of their customers were wearing masks. Under current circumstances, I would not return because I felt super uncomfortable during drop off and pick up (being in the office with unmasked, non-gloved staff, no sanitizer to be seen) and spent several minutes post pick-up, wiping my car down on my own. Their lack of following state recommendations and CDC guidelines is problematic. Uninformed at best; lazy and careless at worst. It's like a giant 'F you and good luck!' to their client base. read more
