Classic Auto Body did a great job on my car! The work was solid, and the timing was reasonable. Definitely a better experience than Caliber Collision! My only complaint--and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5--is that I dropped off my car with just under half a tank, and when I got it back, there were barely 20 miles left in the tank. I've been thinking about leaving this review. It's been over month since we dropped off our car to get fix. It's hard just writing this. We trusted them to fix our car. My husband love how Max took care of my son's car. First of all they were a lot of miscommunication on Max's end. We know we were told our car could be in the shop a little longer than usual. And of course it was. Not sure we but were told it's because of our insurance and they're not in network. That we can always call them and speed up the process. It's fine again cause we trusted them from previous experience. We took our car in. It's been a little over a week. Lauren called on a Friday to let me know everything's good to go just waiting on approval from our insurance. Few days later into next week. My husband called to follow up. Since we were told we can call and check. My husband first called spoke with Max and he was told something different from what I was told by Lauren. So as a customer I had questions. I called back immediately and his response was I told you that with your insurance it can take anywhere from few weeks. I told him I'm aware of that but I spoke to Lauren she called. So confused just wanted to clarify we're still waiting on Progressive. Moving forward there was a lot of miscommunication. The following week comes I was told by my insurance claims adjuster will be there on Monday. Monday comes the adjuster called my husband give him the run about the car. He said we can call ask Max but his claim after checking everything was a little more than Max. See if Max will fix it for us. (Lift gate) When my husband called he was getting the run around by Max said they denied the first claim he put in. That he has to order the new part. Because we had a rental almost a month already. My husband just asking if he has time frame when our car will be done. Lauren called me prior on Friday before Monday saying the cars already done just waiting on the adjuster to come and approve everything. He said well no waiting on the part. I told my husband why didn't you tell him I spoke Lauren and that's what she told me. He said no he don't want to deal with it since Max giving him the run around. We just won't come back anymore. When Lauren called me a few days later to follow up with since that's who's she's been communicating with. I voice my concerns frustration with Max how he was handling things. We hung up few minutes later she called and apologized. She's told me I can call anytime busy or not. I'm a customer. Now that's for one star. Lauren made me feel better and told me she had the info of what happened. That the car should be done the following week. She knows we have the rental. Now it's going a little 3wks. She said car should be done mid week. Ok that came. The minute we pulled up my husband noticed that's the wrong bumper hopefully that's not our car parked and ready. He ask me too look up our plates. Sure enough that was our car. You know what sucks is we walked and my husband pointed out. The first thing Max said was do you have pictures. He should've went to back and checked our old bumper first. It's sad and disappointing as a customer we put our trust in you to put back our car the way it was. If you took off the previous parts. You should CONFIRM it's the same. If not notify us instead just putting it on there and it's not correct color. It seems there's NO care and respect in his work. My point is he said he order off the vin number. Lauren knew I was upset and frustrated. She said I think Max is saying he ordered off vin number. We can see if you can take the car home and come back once he order the correct bumper comes in. Still why would you assume and NOT QUALITY CHECK your work. Ordered the new part they called us to come look since there's a slight color difference. It was a dull blackish gray. Max had our old bumper in the back and showed it to my husband. The one they ordered first time was silver gray. I post pictures of our previous and the one they put on without letting us know first. I just said we have no choice I'll just stick to new one he already put in. Since he told my husband someone must have painted it that color. That if we want he can try to get it as close by can't confirm. Why would I want to keep going back and forth. Too late. TIME and MONEY wasted. Just BECAREFUL take pictures of your vehicles BEFORE and AFTER. Luckily my husband had some pictures as PROOF. Also we were asked which we shouldn't have since they have our original. We dropped our car to have fix. We want it back the same as the original. We are first owner on this vehicle there's no way someone painted. Not recommending this place as we were before. This review is based on the high level service and communication I received working through a third party settlement with a Tesla Insurance policy owner who clipped my Dads car. In the process of securing quotes: they ranged from $1600-$8000 with Classic coming in the middle but the services included seemed thorough and quality based (not exorbitant). How Tesla handled the claim is another story-(sent a two party check without any documentation/lower than the amount). Today the parts were finally put on my truck after 27 days. I gave them the list of all of the things that were stolen out of my truck. They gave it to the owner that could not get up out of his office to come and talk to me at least. I was a customer and they were paid in full. I ask the receptionist if my truck ever left their property, she said no, She also stated that it was on there Property the whole time . So that means somebody that works there definitely stole my stuff. I asked if there was cameras, she says yes they have cameras I said well why didn't you guys look at them? Then they could of seen who stole my stuff. She said that's not her job. To me that sounds like they think it's OK. Started off amazing, nice people...reasonable quote for the work I needed. Just a simple grill change and splitter installation. Work was done in one day and looked to be in good shape! However, THAT SAME NIGHT after driving my vehicle on the highway the splitter installed by Classic auto body nearly broke entirely off. Revealing the very quick work done by the mechanic. Though the screws used were the ones provided with the part installed, a good mechanic SHOULD know better to not use short screws to mount a piece on a car. So, I called the shop back having shown them proof of their work(pictures) and was told "I am so sorry this happened we will do our best to have something done for you". I then received a call back stating, "there is nothing we can do for you since the parts we used are what you provided." I really didn't appreciate the way this was handled by the staff and would really have liked to have seen some sort of reimbursement due to the lack of knowledge on mounting and half done work. The piece was clearly not installed properly and I was told to basically figure it out myself. I now not only paid 200$ for the install and 125$ for the part. But, I now have to purchase a new part and install it myself because evidently, they didn't know how to do so properly. read more

as blown away. I was previously quoted $2,000 by a different recommended body shop... Classic Auto Body West ended up costing me $200 total. That's a savings of $1,800!!! Thank god I called around and found Classic Auto Body West. Max checked it out and said. "This might buff out. " Then took my car around back. Within 10 mins the scratches were gone. He charged me zero dollars. Then he told me I could purchase the missing/broken letters and he would install them on site. When I brought the letters in he was finished and I took this after picture 40 minutes later. I'm so very grateful for the hospitality and service. Took my Torota Rav 4 there last fall after being in an accident. parts are hard to find for a 2010 but Max found them. They finally arrived and had a dent. No worries, Max fixed it and painted it - can't even tell. Lauren, the receptionist is the best. She just doesn't answer phones. She gets off her butt, goes in back, finds out the answer. She is a sweetheart. Keeps you well informed on what's going on with your vehicle. Truck was ready, washed and driven away when they said it would be ready. Max worked with the insurance company as they never want to pay. Fast forward to Thursday, August 15. Appears that a clip or something holding the bumper and molding on broke or something because it was starting to come apart. Called, Lauren said to bring it in. Max took a look at it and took it in back. Also told him about a noise coming from front left side (side of accident). It was late in the day and I told them to keep it and let me know. Max called Friday. He fixed the bumper and trim and tightened up all bolts to help with the noise. Thanks Max and Lauren for quick, efficient service again. I was hit in my 2005 mustang gt and had to bring it in for a driver side door repair after another party had hit me. It required the entire door to be replaced but due to a difficult to work with progressive adjuster I needed repairs quick since I work full time. Estimated cost for damages were at roughly $2,400 and about week to fix. Plus probably the time to ship the part out. I was satisfied that they kept me updated on my vehicles status about once a week but repairs took a lot longer than estimated, about 3 weeks. The part I'm not satisfied with was getting my car back, it had an orange mark where it looked like someone had hit it with another car and a scrape on the same side. I had to notify them to have it buffed out. They checked their video footage of the car upon drop off and confirmed that the orange scrapes were not there prior. At least they buffed it out though. Some minor issues that were annoying too though, my rear trunk looks like a bunch of burglars went into it. The net I had to keep things organized were taken off and everything in it was now scattered all over, cool thanks. One of my reverse lights is out along with my fog light too now so I'm thinking they probably burnt out a fuse too since both were working prior, what is really bothering though is the wire that I installed for my back up camera just a few days prior was now ripped out. I have no idea why they had to go in my trunk and take off the plastic trim for a driver door repair but whatever reason I have to rewire my reverse camera now -_- Also they put one of the push tabs in the wrong slot trying to put the trunk trim back on and now it's suck inside it, so i'll have to get a tool to pop that out. Oh and my car interior is filthy. Im not asking for a detailing or anything but c'mon did they really have to make my car a mess when I got it back and rip the wiring I just had done a few days before taking it in? Also the inside of my car side scoops is black, but now one of my driver side scoops is white because they painted over it so I have one white scoop and one black inside. It's hella weird, i'll have to paint that myself. Just make sure you check out your car thoroughly if you decide to take it here, and be prepared to have to clean it up.. not so great service I rank my review on how likely I am to return to get repairs done here again and it's not likely judging by the scrape they had to buff out and the issue I have to refix with my reverse camera now.. read more

This review is one of the more difficult I've written because they (Classic Auto Body) didn't do the work on my car. However, I did have significant and multiple interactions with employees, which caused me to go elsewhere for the required bodywork. Long story short, the first time I went to this body shop, I went on my own for an estimate because their location is convenient. After being told to wait for an excessive amount of time (45-minutes), the receptionist told me they didn't do the type of work I required. I couldn't understand why they wasted my time without even looking at the vehicle or having anyone speak with me. A month later, my insurance carrier sent me to Classic Auto Body since they have a working agreement or contract with them. I didn't recognize the name or address, so I was surprised when I arrived at Classic Auto Body. This time, an adjuster helped with a quick estimate, which he gave me verbally. When I asked for the written estimate, the adjuster said he would send it to me. This logic is incorrect. It is illegal in the state of Nevada not to give a written estimate upon request. Additionally, the estimate from Classic Auto Body was more than $4,500,00 less than any of the three that I had received. I thought this very strange. Making matters worse, I never received the written estimate that the adjuster told me he would mail, which speaks volumes that something is amiss (shady) at Classic Autobody. Here's what I know factually, my carrier was going to save a lot of money because they were going to issue $5,400.00 instead of the $9,950.00, which was the lowest estimate that I received, less $500.00 deductible. All three other body shops told me that my entire car required painting, even though 9 of the 11 panels had damage. Their reasoning was the two non-damaged panels would never match the nine newly painted ones. It makes complete sense, but Classic insisted that would not be the case without guaranteeing my satisfaction. Also, the other shops said the undercarriage needed inspection, which Classic did not. And lastly, all the replacement parts through Classic Auto Body would be third-party (Chinese) made replacements and not OEM. I later found out this saved Classic and my carrier roughly $2,500.00. Farmers Insurance determined I was not at fault. The accident would become a matter for subrogation through the trucking company's carrier. Therein going on my insurance record and causing possible higher rates. As is my right in the state of Nevada, I can choose any of the three shops I went to for the repair, which I ultimately did. Classic Auto Body never issued my legally required estimate, which I needed for my court case. Classic Auto Body would not use OEM parts even if I insisted they be used. Classic Auto Body did not follow the letter of the law in Nevada, and for that, I rate them two-stars since I never did see how the repair would pan out. But more relevant, Classic Auto Body does not follow legal requirements established by the state of Nevada. Sorry, this review became a little longer than "long story short." RESPONSE TO OWNER COMMENT: You certainly have a right to respond and even disagree with my assessment of Classic Auto Body West. However, it is evident that you purposely avoided specific issues in my review to defray reader attention away from my many points. Why did your people waste 45 minutes of my time without ever looking at my vehicle? Why didn't you offer to check the car's undercarriage in advance of repairs when all other body shops thought it was the prudent thing to do? More importantly, since you [apparently] claim to do everything by the book, where is my legally required written estimate? That is a requirement of law and not up for debate. Sorry, Fred, but I've got no problem with your answer regarding the OEM issue, but you very slyly neglected the other. I think people see through your multiple unidentified "funny" comments as very inappropriate. For this I believe you are not deserving of the two stars I originally gave you. read more

One of the worst experiences I've had with a body shop. They initially stated on the estimate that the repair would take 14 days. I didn't hassle or bother them till the end of the estimated time. I then called for an update on the 12th day, since they had not communicated anything to me beforehand about the progress. They stated that it was almost done and just needed one clip, which they ordered, for my bumper and it should be ready by the beginning of the next week. I call in that following Monday and they informed me that it's complete but I can't pick it up till they receive the supplement they requested from my insurance. After talking to my insurance I found that they waited till the 12th day on which I called them to submit a request for more money. When I went into the shop to question why they waited till it was 98% complete to submit the request the manager, Max, got stern with me and stated "that's just how they do things." I argued that it didn't make any sense to do things that way since my car was now done and was being held hostage because they waited till the last minute to submit the request. I was considering paying the extra to them out of my pocket to get my car back and then have my insurance reimburse me until Max stated that they needed another $1,000 to release it. I went back and forth with them and my insurance for the next few days only to find out that the supplement they requested was only for $340 which I could have paid. Max was incorrect in the amount. He had no idea what was going on. He was quick to jump in and start arguing and be an example of poor customer service. He even at one point got up from his desk and stood up in front of me to argue. I found it to be very disrespectful and annoying. After almost another week I was finally able to pick up my car. I looked it over and everything seemed to be OK. After almost another week I decided to wipe my car down, as we had a week of monsoon weather. Upon wiping my car down I find a bunch of overspray all over my car, which indicates to me that their painter either didn't mask the vehicle very well or didn't even do it at all. I then tried to bring it back to have them claybar the car and detail it. They took it to the back and brought it back out after only about 15 minutes. They then showed me how they fixed it. The detailer only removed it from one section instead of the rest of the vehicle, they even got overspray on the opposite side of the affected area of the car. I went back in and let the service writers know. That's when Reggie informed me that I would have to drop off the car as it would take them most of the day to complete. I agreed. I wasn't able to do it off the next week, as I had some family things to handle, but I called them the following week to schedule to bring it in. Reggie informs me that they can't take it in as they have too many cars to work on and they are scheduling for a month and a half out. I get they may be busy and short staffed but you're telling me they can't fix this issue soon since this has already been a bad experience.??? Now I guess I have to either pay out of my pocket to fix their mistake or do it myself. I didn't even mention that my entire car was ceramic coated before it went into the shop. Their mistake ruined a job I paid $600 for... Such a nightmare! read more

HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION + THEIFS I will NEVER use this auto body shop again, and I DO NOT recommend using them. They are not thorough, do not communicate well, and they steal ... money & items from your car. I brought my car in to have scratches repaired from the transit process via Carvana, which Carvana was paying for. All I needed to do was provide the auto body shop with the documents sent to me by carvana, get an estimate, drop the car off, and pick it back up. Never was I to be responsible for the payment, but due to their lack of fully reading the documents or communicating in detail with the claims company, I received a text the day I was to pick my car up and I'd need to bring in a check for the said amount, which the payment exchange should have been handled between the two companies. At that point, 2.5 hrs before they closed on a Friday, I was told my car would not be released to me until the payment was received. Not right that I'd have to go 3 more days without my car because of an ERROR on their part in waiting last minute to confirm payment. This now leaving me with having to pay out of my pocket to get my car back. Now I'm sitting here going back and forth with the 3rd party to understand the process I need to take to get my money back, and I find out that payment was sent to the auto body shop, but did they call me to say that, or say they'd be refunding my money ... ABSOLUTELY NOT. Super shady business practices. Finally, when I got my car back, I went into my arm rest compartment to get something, to find that it was no longer there, and I know for a fact I never removed it, as it was an item specifically kept in my car. The fact that one of the staff members at a point in the repair process WENT THROUGH MY car is ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE. So, think twice before using this auto body shop. All around disappointed with this experience being this is the second time I've taken a car here to get repaired. read more

I took my new car to a carwash, which won't be named by name "FF" and the hand wash kid literally put more than 30 pretty deep scratches on my car with 11 miles on it.
