I'd be willing to bet the other people leaving reviews didn't do it this way. He assured me that once the diagnostics were complete (he advised a couple of hours), he would contact me so we could discuss transportation options, especially since rental car locations were closed for the holiday weekend.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Unfortunately, that communication never happened. The dealership was closing at 4 PM, and after not receiving an update, I had to contact the sales department (vehicle was dropped off at 7am) and ask to be transferred to service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Only then was I informed that my vehicle supposedly required approximately $3,500 in repairs. By that point, the dealership was nearly closed, leaving me without enough time to make alternative transportation arrangements or retrieve my vehicle. Something about the diagnosis/process did not sit right with me, so I sought a second opinion from Classic Kia in Carrollton. The experience there was completely different. They quickly completed their own diagnostic, provided me with a loaner vehicle immediately, and ultimately repaired my vehicle for only a few hundred dollars. The repairs were nowhere near the $3,500 estimate I received from Kia Mesquite. As a result, I have lost confidence in Kia Mesquite's service department. This is not my first disappointing experience, but it may be my last. The level of customer service, communication, and overall thoroughness I received from Classic Kia was night and day compared to what I experienced at Kia Mesquite. WARNING: DO NOT BUY FROM KIA MESQUITE I purchased a vehicle from Kia Mesquite that was represented as structurally sound and accident-free. However, shortly after taking possession, I discovered SEVERE, obvious frame damage--the kind of damage that should have totaled the car and made it completely unsafe to drive. Their own technician missed (or ignored) it, yet somehow noticed a faulty seat roller. The damage was visible without any disassembly and confirmed by an independent shop. The dealership knowingly violated the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act (DTPA) by selling a car that was clearly unsafe, misrepresented, and of significantly lower value than what I paid. A CARFAX report they provided conveniently showed no wrecks, yet the frame tells a very different story. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I brought this to their attention, General Manager Wiley Jackson offered zero acceptable resolution. Instead of making it right, he attempted to upsell me a more expensive vehicle--as if I should reward them for deception with more of my money.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Even worse, Mr. Jackson unilaterally voided my purchase contract without my knowledge or consent, effectively breaching our agreement and leaving me in limbo. Sale based off of lies [[HIGHLIGHT]]We agreed to buy this Honda only after being told we would be receiving two keys. I even said I wasn't signing if we didn't get that second key, and Eli told us they had it and could come back to pick it up since the key department was already closed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Instead, we were given one off-brand replacement key with a weak signal and no remote start, not the original OEM key. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When we went back to ask about the second key, the front desk told us, "We never give two sets of keys on used cars," which completely contradicts what we were told during the sale.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]In text messages, Eli said he was trying to get management approval for the second key and the floor mats and later said both were denied, even mentioning the previous owner was supposed to return the key, another contradiction to their story of having it in their possession.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] On top of that, before signing we pointed out a tear in the interior flooring and were told it would be taken care of, and that hasn't been addressed either. I brought my car in for warranty service on a passenger seatbelt sensor--a minor issue that shouldn't take more than an hour to fix. I dropped it off Saturday morning and was told they were busy, but it would be diagnosed by Monday and ready no later than Friday (with a hint it could be done by Wednesday). The service manager tells me I wrecked and I damaged the tire, and it is 35 dollars and a 2 hour wait to get a tech to weigh in on it. The tire has no cuts or pinch damage. Southwest Kia service in mesquite is angry, overworked , probably not paid enough, and the last thing they want to do is make it right for the guy who just financed a 30,000 dollar car with them. I went to Mesquite Kia for the voluntary recall upgrade (for my KIA 2020 Optima); namely, the Kia Theft Deterrent Ignition Cylinder Protector & Decal Installation, which was mostly completed in about two hours. However, the technician failed to put the new stickers on the windows, which was required. ([[HIGHLIGHT]]My advisor said she would mail them to me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Do not forget to check this as the stickers show that a change was made to the ignition! This is versus the year earlier upgrade of the engine itself. So there is a difference in the stickers that would need to be communicated to potential thieves!) The only other thing I can't comment on right now is the date on all the tires. KIA said that the dates would be similar since they sell so many tires, so I will be checking that later. Getting close dates is important according to everything I've read. You can expect dissimilar dates if you go to Discount Tires, but here that should not be the case. read more

My mom went in to purchase her very first new to her car. When we arrived we were told they would take care of all of the issues with the car before we drove off with it. We asked for a loaner until her car was ready and they said no but we can drive the car we are trading in. Once everything was signed, we realized the items promised the dealership was going "to take care of for us" were actually charged on top of the amount of the car. When I was told the car was ready to pick up we went and inspected the car. The new front bumper they placed on the car didn't even match (the "new" bumper was sand and the car is dark silver) and the sales person kept trying to get her to drive it off the lot. So I fought it having to get the manager involved, especially since we actually paid for it at this point to be correct. We bought the car February 1st, 2025 and they have allowed the paper tag to expire twice now and it is currently expired as of May 15th. I have called them 3 times in the last week each time being promised the new paper tag is in the mail but they have complained they don't want to pay the fines so I doubt they have gotten anything done at this point. They have now told us that they didn't do their due diligence when purchasing the car from the previous owner and the previous owner had a lien on the car so they aren't able to get the title until the previous owner pays up. I definitely watch this place with a close eye, after going here for a few years. I just went in for a tire rotation, oil change, and multi-point inspection last week. I always mark my back tires with chalk, so I can check myself that my tires have been rotated. I've learned this lesson the hard way, as a couple years ago, I was charged for a tire rotation, and my tires had in fact NOT been rotated. This happened for the SECOND time last week, as only the driver's side tires had been rotated. Also, I went to get my car inspected today, and it was noted that my coolant was very low. Insincere apparently in their desire to find a resolution. I again recommend steering clear. My original post: I do not recommend this dealership. Went over on Friday to test and inspect a Cadillac SRX. The sales person was lethargic, disinterested, and not interested in me seeing the car. I was unable to check everything from the advertisement. When I was contacted by the next sales person, Willie Porter, I was told the car was in good shape and a deal could be reached. I barely left the parking lot when the level of dishonesty became apparent. A malfunctioning lift gate, a touch screen that doesn't respond, and a center console that was taped closed to pretend it would latch. All in all, I can repair the car myself with several hours and some parts, but the fact they never disclosed these issues and pushed it solely on me in their responses is proof positive that cars they sale should be avoided. If I could give zero stars I would. Not sure what changed from many moons ago but the service is not the same. The last few times I have taken my vehicle they don't fully fix the problem, they do a quick fix and I'm back to the same issue months later. They have kept my car for months with no option to have a loaner and I was left with zero transportation, I was charged 3 times for a diagnostics because they couldn't figure it out why my cars traction control light was on. They never serviced my vehicle properly or advised me if I needed engine service and I ended up stranded in Oklahoma because my sparkplug went out. I have purchased 3 vehicles and didn't experience poor service until my 3rd in the last 4 years. I won't be returning to service my car at this dealership and I advise u don't either. Two days after taking possession of the car, it died in an intersection. I immediately called the dealership the next morning. Steve stated he would pick up the car and "unwind the deal." Yet when I followed up with him via email, he denied having offered to unwind the deal. Mesquite Kia then held the car for four days to "run diagnostics." When they returned my car, they had driven it 300 miles WITHOUT MY CONSENT and returned a previously full tank of gas ON EMPTY. They claimed there was nothing wrong with the car and refused to take it back. Since then, it has spent the equivalent of SEVEN MONTHS in another Kia dealership's repair shop, undergoing numerous repairs that never fully fix the car. Additionally, that dealership stated Mesquite Kia doesn't have the setup to run diagnostics on vehicles. Its transmission was replaced and it's had several "repairs" of the electrical panel, yet continues to malfunction. I have also spent this entire duration repeatedly asking Kia as a company to buy back the car. Only at the beginning of December did anyone at the company tell me Kia has an arbitration process exactly for this request. Meanwhile, the car is back at the other Kia dealership, yet again awaiting repair. Before Mesquite Kia, I had been a happy, repeat customer of Kia. Whatever you do, don't go to Mesquite Kia and don't buy from Steve. Kia as a company or Mesquite Kia - do the LONG OVERDUE right thing and buy back the car. Full refund. read more

We ended up buying here, because the right car came along, not because of the salesman we worked with. In fact, I was sorry we could not have purchased the car from somewhere that treated us better. The salesman insulted my friend a number of times with snide comments and unserious answers to earnest questions. Like others, he tried to sell her additional things she did not need, at a significant markup. That was after first trying to get her to finance a more expensive car than she had budgeted for on our previous visit. On the way to the car after we were done, he walked us out of the showroom and acted as if he was going to hold the door for for my friend, but he wasn't paying attention. He let go of door after she began walking though it, and it hit her in face. I don't even think he ever realized what happened. If I were unfamiliar with buying a car at a dealership, or if English were my second language, I would highly recommend taking someone experienced along after first researching what similar models are selling for. read more
