Sovereign is quickly becoming of my favorite lunch spots in Downtown Miami. The prices are very fair for what I've seen is one of the larger poke bowl in the area outside of much more expensive sit down restaurants. The customizations here are also very good! You can truly make your bowl unique and as savory or as sweet as you'd like it. They don't skimp on the fish or the toppings! The tuna and salmon are very fresh, as are the various fruit toppings (mango), crispy onions, corn, edamame etc. that are on offer. Next time, I will be tempted to try have some boba tea with my poke bowl order. I have only ordered takeout from here but encounter warm and very quick service each time. No wonder why they've even able to expand to multiple locations across Miami-Dade and Broward County!
Second time ordering, first time I felt the proportions were small and noodles lacking the flave! But this time I ordered the udon beef spicy noodles and DAMN, so goood! Cozy, warm, saucey af noods. Both times I got boba and was good too not like a boutique boba tea quality but good none the less. Casual yummy Thai food, amen!
What a great spot while looking for a quick and easy lunch stumbled upon Sovereign The staff greeted me with a friendly approach. Explained the different options clearly and provided me the exact option I was looking for. You can sit and eat or take out. They had tea samples which was a nice touch at the front counter. The servings and options looked and tasted fresh. There was a generous portion of each servings which at times lost establishments cut back on offerings here you get the value for what you pay for. Well done.
Had the beef ramen and steamed chicken dumplings both were excellent. The ramen had a rich, flavorful broth with tender beef and perfectly cooked noodles. The chicken dumplings were juicy, well-seasoned, and a great complement to the meal. Definitely recommend.
I was craving some ramen and was looking for a place walking distance from me. Came across this place on Yelp and glad we checked it out! It was empty when we got there so we didn't wait long for food. We ordered the shrimp dumplings as an appetizer, which sadly came with our food instead of before. I for once chose a really good choice! Lol. The hot gurl loves ramen was very yummy! It was a tad bit spicy (which I'm not a fan of but loved it in this dish) but mixed well with the cheese. It paired perfect with the mango green tea, which was very refreshing! My boyfriend wasn't as big of a fan of his ramen. I can't comment on how his was as I didn't try it, but it still looked good!
This has become my go to poke spot. The food is always fresh and they are very generous with their portions. They also have a lot of topping and sauce options.
Poke was incredible, fresh fish, unlimited toppings and good portion size! Great service as well. Worth walking a bit farther for this place vs the closer ones to us.
Not my favorite boba spot, but really cute decorations inside especially with the globe mural. Nice outdoor and indoor seating. The flavor of the boba and taro freshness was not my preferred boba taste.
Came here for a refreshing drink and didn't leave disappointed - not bad, just a little expensive given the size and quality. Their menu for drinks was expansive enough and not too bad overall - they also do poke and that didn't look bad either. The space was decorated pretty interestingly and the wall art was nice - I would say it felt like a very modern and sleek spot to eat. The service was quick too and we were in and out within a few minutes, it's just the price that was a little disappointing as it felt pretty pricy - I'd recommend the drink we got, but there are cheaper places to get a similar quality smoothie if you're willing to search around.
Last night after getting in later after a flight I felt light a light dinner and this was in walking distance. It's a very nice Asian fusion restaurant. It made my day to be helped by Andrea and Gabby who were very bright and upbeat. I will return!!
Great boba pit stop! I had a taste for some and stumbled upon this place. I ordered a brown sugar milk tea to satisfy my craving. It was so yummy! Also ordered a spicy tuna and salmon poke bowl. The portion was pretty decent and I was even able to save some for later. The inside was clean, the employees were nice and we were able to grab a table to dine. My only complaint was the long wait to receive food but given there was a late crowd, it was whatever. Overall, I'd come again if I'm nearby.
Wow. I always thought I hated poke until this day...I take it all back--it was love at first taste. Golden Curry Pineapple Fried Rice was good comfort food, but the poke was fresh and absolutely it let delicious. Boba tea was also very good.
Great place for lunch or dinner. Prices are reasonable and you get sufficient portions of food. We just took the public transportation system then a short walk over. They have some seating available, it's not a big place. Drinks were good. We got the Korean glass noodle and a custom poke bowl with beef and unagi. They were both delicious and filling. Service was great.

Great place for Poke options! I got the Spicy Tuna bowl and a Thai tea latte. The bowl was really flavorful and tasty. Not the best poke I've had but definitely pretty good for what I've had in the Miami area. The portion size was huge and the Thai tea latte was really refreshing. The best part is they gave my to go order in a cool bag! I'll definitely be coming back here to try some of their other bowls. read more

My daughter went for the Ramen and loved it - she brought me takeout - Pineapple curry veggie rice and the spicy edamame's and both were very delicious and good portions. Only wish the rice had more veggies, but I recommend and would def go back/order take out. read more

Their poke bowls are so good they should be illegal. I've been visiting Miami in the winters from Boston and wow we do not have poke like this. Their house made sauces are fab, the rice is always perfect, and they do NOT skimp on portions. $15 for the amount of food you get is a great deal. Sovereign is the reason I love tofu now! They have great mix ins and the boba is also SUPER LEGIT, sealed and everything. The pearls are huge and cooked perfectly and you can even mix your own flavor combos. I thought about this bowl all year until I could come back and have it again. Visit and get ready to have your world rocked!!! read more

What a great little gem I found in downtown. I stumbled upon this place looking for a healthy bite to eat that wouldn't break the bank. As I walked in I was immediately acknowledged and taken care of. They have a huge menu from hot to cold apps, poke and boba teas. The food was ready quickly & it tasted so fresh & flavorful. Many different selections from protein options, dressing, and various toppings. Flexible to customize order based on customer's preference and everything tasted super fresh. Seems like a chill spot to eat lunch or dinner if you're looking for something chill and casual. It does get busy during lunch/dinner rush hour but the staff still gives a generous amount. The staff is friendly and the place is very clean to dine in. Would recommend! read more

I could go on and on about how fresh and delicious all the food and drinks are, and I will. But what separates Sovereign from other similar establishments is the attention to detail and exemplary service. Their kitchen also offers a lot more than your typical poke establishment. Poke and Boba Tea are the forefronts of their menu, but their other dishes deserve just as much recognition. They have dumplings, bao buns, pork/red bean buns, noodles, and various other unique, composed dishes. Everything I have tried has been superb. Their poke bowls have a ton of options for customization, including some house made sauces that are absolutely killer. The employees are knowledgeable and passionate about their product. They offer samples, recommendations, and are constantly striving to improve. They make sure you enjoyed your visit and request any feedback, both positive and negative. Considering everything is near perfect, I'm assuming this is working well for them. For me, hands down the best milk tea. The quality and flavor just blows every other place away. They use creamer instead of milk, which I think is absolutely genius. The flavor of their teas have a natural, refreshing, and robust flavor. Almost everywhere else I get milk tea from I get an artificial, and overly sweet flavor. I recommend the taro and genmaicha. Everything is executed well. The food and drinks are stars in their own right, but the design, atmosphere, and service truly leave a mark. read more

My favorite sushi bowl place in Miami, I am so happy they opened this place! Their sushi bowls are amazing, I absolutely love their zucchini noodles base and the fact that you can add seaweed salad and cream cheese free of charge ( I hate all those places where you have to pay extra for everything ) the only extra you have to pay is avocado - which is understandable. I have also tried their miso soup and it's really good, their bubble teas look delicious - so I really need to try this one day. Other than that, it gets packed for lunch during the weekdays from people that work around the area so I recommend avoiding this time. They have a few tables to eat there but most people just order to go. read more

What a freaking gem in Miami! We are healthy eating vegans and this place made our day. We built our own bowls for like $15 and got an insane amount of food! Probably 20 different and fresh toppings inside of our bowls. And they even have steamed tofu which is amazing! Definitely the best poke bowl I've had in Miami. read more

Such a beautiful place and the staff was really friendly and patient as it took me a while to know what to order because everything looked so good~ Ended up with the Korean glass noodles and the butterfly lychee tea and it was incredible! Nestled away on quiet 3rd Avenue in downtown Miami. I discovered (in much the way Columbus "discovered" America......I stumbled upon it while looking for something else) this newly opend gem while on one of my patented constitutionals from the office.. Sitting in the same spot as Butterfly Ball and the Chefs Pantry before it. It's slightly Pan-Asian menu where you can get everything from Poke to Korean and Japanese Specialties, is short but good. Their Signature Poke Bowls range from Teriyaki (chicken, beef, shrimp) to House Salmon anyone would be a good choice. Or you can opt for the My Poke My Way bowl, which is what i get more often than not. Customizing your bowl with a Base: zucchini noodles, spinach, brown rice, sushi rice. Protein: spicy tuna Atlantic salmon, ahi tuna, spicy salmon, eel, tofu or one of the teriyaki offerings. Pick a vegetable, anyting from green and red onions, edamame, jalapeno to cucumber and radishes. Topping (some) are a little outside the "normal" Poke fair. That's where you'll find items like crab salad, tangerines, cream cheese, seaweed salad and daikon amung others. And the Crunch: coconut flake, sesame seed, crispy garlic, crispy onion and furikake. Don't forget to pick your sauce; ponzu sauce, Wasabi sauce, ginger dressing, House special sauce, the very delicious Hawaiian spicy sauce just to name a few. Appetizers, tempura shrimp, Sui Mai, dumplings ( chicken, shrimp, pork) and Bao Bun. House Specialties include, Bacon Egg Bao Burger, Korean Seafood Pancake, Oriental Burrito and Korean Glass Noodles. And then there's the standard yet not so standard Miso and Egg Drop Soups. The miso soup is very good. You will notice, the usual tofu, green onion and Nori. But when you plunge your spoon in and taste, it's definitely different. Forget the sodium laden, headache inducing, mouth puckering, powder derived miso soups you are used to. This one is gental and flavorful with alot of miso uh......flavor (yeah, flavor works here). The Egg Drop is smooth and filled with delicious eggy protein. The oh so popular Bubble nea Boba Teas are wonderful as well. Brewed tea not powdered sets Sovereign apart. Of course, there are Milk Teas, Green Teas, Smoothies and what they call Cyclones. Their tagline is: Asian Gourmet- Simple & Healthy. Here's to them sticking to that....at least the simple part anyway. Sovereign is poiised to make a bigger splash than either one of it's predecessors; I hope they last a lot longer. read more
So I installed the WiFi and network for them and had a talk with the young man in charge about which type of restaurant it would be and got excited right away. I LOOOVE Poke bowls and have had a few places I prefer so I wanted to give this joint a try. Man I'm so glad I had time to swing by today, it just became one of my favorite poke joints in town. He recommended to create my own and I listened so I opted for the spicy tuna and eel with rice as a base. They really do focus on fresh ingredients here and one can tell with just one bite and the way they keep all veggies and sides fresh at all times. The sauces like poke, spicy and Hawaiian are just what gives the bowl the final touch. I really enjoyed this bowl like I haven't in a long time. Will be coming back frequently, no doubt. read more

Best poke bowls in Miami! They always add a good amount in your custom made! Their spicy Mayo is delicious! Their service is awesome, you never have to ask for more. Their bobba is great! I just visited this very new (week or so old) poke shop in downtown Miami. This place is great! The poke bowls are reasonably priced at $13, particularly because they come with a ton of delicious, fresh fish. The mix of ingredients is spot on and everything tasted good from the rice up to the seaweed salad, edamame, seaweed, onion (fresh and fried), and other veggies. Best of all, the service is super friendly and they're excited and happy to see you. I'll be back for more lunches in the future! One pro tip: the storefront is on NW 3rd Ave, as the address suggests, directly on the street. Google Maps puts the address kind of inside the big building with an indoor mall, and I wandered around in there looking for the shop for a few minutes before finding it. read more

Pretty good poke spot. Fresh ingredients and plenty of options. The service is a little slow and inefficient but overall it's not too bad and the end result is delicious. Everything is customizable. My favorite dish is the shrimp and salmon sushi rice bowl with jalapeño, mango, cilantro, masago, seaweed, onion, crispy onion/garlic and sauces on the side. It is on the pricey side but this is to be expected for a place downtown. The toppings are unlimited so that is definitely a plus! I continue to get take out from here due to convenience and taste. I pride myself on being able to call myself a poke snob and the award for best poke in downtown miami area goes to Sovereign. I've been here a handful of times in the few months i've lived in miami. The fish is so fresh and I love their topping selection. To me, the toppings really make a poke bowl worth it, so I love the variety I get here. They have a bunch of sauces & you can't go wrong with whichever you choose. They also have a yelp coupon where you can get a free boba with your purchase. The thai tea is my fave! read more

Absolutely fantastic little gem in downtown. We originally stopped by looking for bubble tea, and it delivers. The staff is super friendly (seriously, the buff guy is wonderful), and the bubble tea was the best we've had in Miami. After our first trip (a taro tea and a passion fruit tea), we stopped by again and tried some food. And it's also fantastic. Admittedly, we stuck to the small plates, so didn't try the poke bowls. That said, everything was perfect. The bao (eggs, pickled veggies, and a solid soy sauce on top) was delicious, the bubble tea is consistently on-point, and the service is stellar. Definitely recommend swinging by next time you're headed to a Heat game. read more
