We were driving through the area and saw the great reviews for this taco shop and their fish tacos, so we decided to give them a try. We ordered the fish tacos, carne Asada nachos and carne Asada quesadilla. While the fish tacos were definitely not the best I had ever had, they were pretty good. The tortillas were fried just enough to have a little crisp to them, but they were still soft. The fish was battered and topped with lettuce, cheese, Pico de Gallo, and a chipotle cream sauce. If you're in the area, definitely give the fish tacos a try, but I wouldn't drive out of my way for them. The nachos were just ok. The beans tasted like canned beans from the store, which sort of ruined it for me. The carne Asada though was flavorful and very good. The quesadilla was good as well, no complaints. In my opinion, the food is overpriced for what it is and I probably would only come back for the fish tacos if I'm in the area again. read more

First time here the other day... Had to see what all the hype was about. We ordered a shitload of food, from Tacos to Sopes, Churros to Suadero and pretty much everything in between. The tacos are smallish, (street taco style), inexpensive and tasty as all hell. I tried the lengua, (cuz I love the tongue), and the chicken. Lengua was uber tender, just the way I love it, but could have used just a tad more seasoning / flavor. The chicken was spot on. The salsa's available that we tried, (i.e., all of them), were insanely delish, especially, (at least for me), the green sauce. The churros were creme filed and absolutely perfect!!! Can't comment on everything else that was ordered except to say that everyone thoroughly enjoyed what they got... Only gripes are as follows: The parking situation sux donkey dork!!! But that isn't the business' fault. Just too many proprietors on too little real estate. Be prepared to hunt for parking spaces or possibly park on Santa Cruz St., (which is about wide enough to only allow a single vehicle through at any given time). The interior of the joint is also small, so when you order, (especially if it is a to go order), be prepared to either wait outside or get to know your fellow patrons in a manner that you, (or they), may not necessarily have expected, (i.e., damn near in a biblical sense). Hell, it's so tight in there that I thought that I was getting "handy" for a moment!!! Lastly, while the gal working behind the counter is super, super nice, she did forget the Sopes that we ordered, even though that was the first thing on the ticket. We only discovered this when we got to the car so had to go back in. (Our bad for not checking at the counter but like I said... It was tight as FUC up in there). Had their beef flautas and it was loaded with awesomeness! The store had a "home" like feel which came with humble service. The lady at the counter was extremely nice, which is probably what prompted me to leave this positive review. My entree came with sour cream, guacamole, lettuce, and 2 different types of cheese. I've always treked out to Taco San Pedro in Long Beach for flautas, but am glad that this place has come along. Their flautas are just as good, if not better. I'll definitely be coming back to try the other stuff on the menu. I devoured my meal before I was able to take a picture. But trust me, it was awesome! read more

I've tried their asada, carnitas and lengua so far, all of which were good. The location kept me from trying this place for a while.
