I expressed my concern with the front desk, and the gal there (didn't catch her name, but she had blonde hair) did not even hesitate and said "I got you!" She switched us to a nicer room in a quiet corner since they had availability and it made ALL the difference. I slept well and enjoyed my entire visit. We played ping pong, they have bocce ball courts, tried to ride bikes (we need more practice), corn hole and some axe throwing / bullseye game. They also had fire pits, lots of outdoor seating and water fountains galore; definitely added to the peaceful ambiance. Of course we came for the mineral pool and showers, but it was a nice surprise to find these other activities. It was a couples massage. My girlfriends was decent. With hundreds of massages under my belt, I feel this and this price. 90% of Asian massages at half the cost were twice as good. Never had this issue in places like Serenity Spa in Granite Bay or other Sacramento area establishments. It has been over a month and after a trip expensive trip to the ER and time, it is mostly feeling healed. It was Excessive Pressure. The owner offered an apology and had a conversation with the therapist about the incident she stated. No refund was ever given and all communication ceased. It is probably not worth contacting an attorney at this point. ($1600 ER bill) and many days of pain, but an expensive lesson. Higher priced massages does not necessarily equate to higher quality.

The posted House Rules are sensible, but enforcement is inconsistent. Pool manager Claire frequently singles us out (phone use today, our daughter with pool noodles, snacks/drinks placement) while other kids build slides out of floats and noodles. She also overlooks shouting, rough play, and other prohibited behaviors. Other staff don't enforce these rules. We support fair rules for everyone's comfort and safety. When applied unevenly by one person, it detracts from the relaxing experience. We hope management retrains the team on consistent enforcement and hospitality so we can continue visiting regularly.
