We are on the North Shore of Honolulu, Hawaii and we stopped to get a bite to eat. The food was great. I had chicken tenders. He had pasta place was very busy. Customer service is quick and friendly walk up counter to order and then bring it out to you. Ambience is island life so we sat outside very busy people shopping and walking by very friendly.

Haven't been here in a hot minute. Phone ordered a Creamy Penne Pesto and cheesy garlic bread. Pasta needed to be a bit more creamy. Fixed it at home with a splash of heavy cream and some Parmesan. Garlic bread needed to be toasted a little bit longer. Flavor was good. Staff was very friendly both over the phone and at the counter and sold me on adding a cheesecake. Not homemade but locally bought. Good enough for me with a really good strawberry compote topping. Dining area looks how it did when I used to come in highschool. It's country. It's Hale'iwa and I would not trade that. It's clean.

The food tastes like homage. Lots of sauce. The meatballs were delicious. The noodles were delicious and done perfectly. I will definitely comeback again. The staff was really nice and helpful. The seating was outside with tables and chairs inside a building like a hut

I have driven back and forth past this little gem on the side of the road for YEARS, and just never stopped We tried to go to a place across the street for dinner on a Friday night and they didn't have an open table big enough for our party of 5 so we took the chance to come here and were super happy we did I took off one star because I had to clean my own table (outside, roadside seating), but the service was friendly, the pizza slices are huge, we were able to get a 30 rack of beer from the grocery store next door, and the chicken fettuccine alfredo was SOOO good We also shared zucchini sticks and tomato bruschetta that got mopped We'll definitely be back!

This place just works, Entice all the customers with beautifully made pizzas, open air seating, fast and awesome customer service, perfect chocolate cookies for snacking, subs and pasta galore, there is nothing I can say bad about this place. Wife gets mushroom ravioli which she raves about and I usually do a couple slices of pizza. It's chill, it's delicious, and if you don't feel like sitting there, you can bring your goodies to any beach down the road. Never change yall!

The staff were incredibly friendly and on it! Expect to wait for a little bit because they make the food to order - nothing sits out and it's all freshly made. The food was absolutely yummy and the portion sizes were great for the price! There is outdoor seating on their porch, which is great for watching cars go by or rogue unpacked cars roll into traffic (yes that happened while we were waiting for our meal). They have rain protection too so you can still enjoy your food on the outdoor porch!

This was not my favorite spaghetti place. The sauce was crunchy and did not have great flavor. The bread was decent and I just spooned the sauce on top of it. That's the only way I could eat the sauce. The spaghetti was actually unsalvageable for me, jarred sauce was better than here. The service at the window was fine. She was nice but I'm not even sure what I got charged for, the receipt was just for the total since they hand write their orders still. I ordered the spaghetti and made it a combo which cost about $23. I got a coke and Caesar salad (the dressing was decent, probably the best of what I got). The girl working the counter who took my order didn't give me my soda at the time of purchase and I noticed other people were getting theirs when checking out. With the line I didn't get a chance to get back to her without feeling rude to ask for it. I ended up asking when they came out with my order. They come out with your purchase and call your number so don't lose your ticket stub. There's no going inside, it's just the kitchen but there a sitting area with tables and a high top seating area outside. They do sell pizza slices and I will come back to try that another time while I'm in the North Shore.

I loved this spot, did owner change or doesn't come in that much? Waited a few minutes before someone acknowledged me, got my slices said thank you to the young lady, you're welcome not in her vocabulary. Pizza wasn't cooked, baked it for 30 minutes & something changed, see picture

Everything was so tasty! You will not be disappointed. There was a small wait and it took time to make but it was worth the wait! Would definitely come again!

    Bruschetta was really tasty.

The food is always good when we stop by before the beach. Friendly staff and clean tables with plenty of seating.

Chicken fettuccini alfredo - side note: check out the quality of their containers!

And since I arrived hours after sunset, so dark that none of the heavily promoted "views of the harbor, ocean, and postcard sunsets" could be visible, I can attest that the fresh food more than enough made up for it. The entrees on the menu are divided into two sections: "from the sea" and "from the land." And c'mon, you're in Hawaii, so you really should only be entertaining seafood. I stand firm on that even knowing that the prime rib is one of, if not the only, specialties here and that they run out if you get there too late in the night. I had the furikake crusted baked fish, which was exceptionally tender. The wasabi butter sauce complemented it perfectly and thankfully, the chefs were generous with how much they dolloped onto the plate so I was getting lost in the sauce. The restaurant's decor felt aged in a charming way. Which probably sounds like a backhanded compliment but it did feel on brand: unpretentious and relaxed, if reminiscent of a time pre-Y2K. The service was kind though fairly unmemorable, which makes sense as we were a large and fairly rambunctious dining party.

With all the storms and flooding near by this little tourist town has caused a slow down in business. Found this restaurant on Yelp and made a reservation online. Made the drive over, it's located in one of the areas with different businesses that is walkable. There is parking in lots around them. The place was smaller than we expected, had a relaxed comfortable charm. The weather was comfortable outside so we sat on the covered porch area on interesting heavy well made chairs. Arrived early so the place was relatively quiet Staff were very attentive. Their happy hour runs between 5 and 6, took advantage of the lower rate on two items. Husbands ordered the hamburger which was very juicy and had tasty add ons. It came with garlic fries that were delish. The Tapas we tried were the Spicy garlic shrimp on rice, roasted Brussel sprouts and cauliflower dish. All were delish, be warned the Shrimp dish is very spicy, we ordered a little bread to cut the heat. All in all we enjoyed our dining experience at Maya's.

There is an upstairs seating area that must provide some exceptional views, but it was closed during our visit. Our lunch was easily 5-star. We began with the Spicy Ahi Wontons. Fresh ahi with shallots, scallions, tobiko (Japanese caviar), and cabbage. This App was extremely complex with a hint of spice. Truly wonderful! For our mains we ordered the grilled mahi mahi and fish and chips. My mahi mahi was grilled to a moist perfection, and the brown butter sauce could have overwhelmed the fish, so I went light on the sauce. Their fish n' chips are not your traditional Irish bar offering. The fish was gently battered with panko and fried just right. Their homemade tarter sauce was absolutely delicious. They have a very interesting craft cocktail menu. My Ku'Ula-Kai Mai Tai was on point and perfectly balanced - sweet and sour. Plus 1's Aloalo Fizz reminded her of a Paloma, only made with vodka with a tropical twist. Service was attentive and knowledgeable regarding the menu and ingredients. We really appreciated the chill environment, beautiful view, and the welcoming ocean breeze. Pro tip: After dinner, head downtown to walk off your lunch/dinner and check out all the shops. Dessert? They make them in a unique way, pressing the dough on a waffle iron so the outside comes out crispy and crunchy while the inside stays chewy. The four-pack is the way to go--plenty for one person and shareable for two, but I wouldn't try splitting it beyond that because you'll definitely want more than one for yourself. I've also tried the coxinha and the ham and cheese pastel, which were good, though not as much of a standout as the pao de queijo. Everything is served very fresh, so fresh in fact that I burned my mouth on the pastel because of the steam pocket inside, so it's worth letting things cool a little before biting in. Seating is all outdoors at picnic tables with umbrellas, and while there's usually space available, you might need to share a table if it's busy. There's no cooling, so it can get hot during the day even with the shade. Parking is on the street out front. I've never had trouble finding a spot, but pulling in and out can be tricky if there's traffic going by. Overall I'd give Crispy Grindz 4 stars. The pao de queijo alone makes it worth stopping for, while the other items I tried were good but not the best I've had. I haven't tried the bowls or other menu items, so I can't comment on those, but if you're in the area the pao de queijo is something I definitely recommend.
