Thank y'all for supporting the community! Enjoyed my first dine-in visit and I'm sure we'll be back again down the road.

This was good and I enjoyed it though it was not quite as expected. I ordered the pepperoni pizza based off the pictures I saw online where it looked really good and really cheesy. When it arrived, I immediately could tell that the pizza was different from what I saw in the pictures. It definitely was cheesy and covered with pepperonis, but I feel like they definitely over baked it. The cheese as can be seen in the picture turned brown because they probably left it in the oven a little too long and had more of a crunchy texture as opposed to a soft cheesy texture like what I was expecting and what they advertised online. This of course affected the taste to where I feel like it wasn't as flavorful because it was over baked so that was disappointing. However, I will say that it was still good, especially when I reheated it later. My first impression was that it was just pretty decent but once I reheated it I did truly enjoy it so I overall liked this pizza. I just wish that it was not over baked when I got it so that definitely negatively impacted my experience. We also got some wings that were just okay as well. I think I would try here again and just maybe specify that I don't want the pizza to be overly baked because I do see the potential on it being really good though that wasn't quite my experience this time.

We did have to wait almost 30 minutes for dessert to come out, but overall, cute spot. I would definitely go back.

We grew up eating Spanky's at Astroworld and the original location on Telephone Rd., so we decided to check out the location in Sharpstown for Father's Day. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is nice and spacious and it has a nice patio area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was average, our waitress checked on us frequently. The wings were good but they only come in one flavor, which is buffalo. We had the large Super Duper pizza, which had a lot of toppings but the pizza sauce wasn't seasoned so it made the pizza taste bland. The Watermelon Margarita was disappointing. It tasted like it was made with powder so it was tangy. I would go back try the Philly Cheesesteak.

I have always driven by Spanky's and never quite felt a pull to come in to try their food but my cousin and her family told me this is their favorite place to try pizza so I decided to try. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Walking in, I was surprised by how large it was.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We decided to sit outside since the weather was so nice and it was kinda chilly inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got fried pickles for an appetizer and were pleasantly surprised by how big the portions were. The pickles themselves were cut very finely and fried perfectly where it was light and airy. We got 2 thin, medium pizzas - spinach and garlic & the special which is like a supreme pizza (Italian sausage, pepperoni, beef, green pepper, mushroom, & onion). The medium is 13 inches and is the perfect size for sharing. The pizzas were fantastic and not overly salty, perfectly crispy with just the right amount of toppings. I liked how it came out in raised platters that allow the oil to drain into so the pizzas don't get soggy with time, that was really thought out. Service was great and attentive. All in all, a great spot!

I've always seen this restaurant from the highway and decided to stop to try it. Parking can be tight and the parking lot out front is small but there are spaces on the side and behind the restaurant. This place is very spacious inside and we were seated right away. While our waiter was slow, she was very friendly and accommodating. The menu options were great and we opted for the Philly cheesesteak, spaghetti, pizza, fried mushrooms, and fried cheesy tater tots. The food came out hot and quick and was tasty. Will definitely return again.

Ordered the individual BBQ chicken pizza. Individual only comes in thin crust, which I perfer. This was my first time here so I give it a 8/10. There is plenty of items to choose from off the menu so everyone will be happy. I also ordered a frozen margarita, which I wish I would have gotten on the rocks instead.

My daughter and I had lunch here yesterday. The ambience is nice, wide open and a quasi-sports bar type of feel. Very clean. The service was good. The shared a large pizza and an appetizer. Chili Cheese Fries - 3/5: Just okay. The amount of chili was pretty disappointing and the cheese is a Mexican queso versus a melted cheddar. I think queso is good in small portions but hard to eat a lot of when it covers the whole dish. Pizza (meat lover's) - 4.5/5: My daughter and I both loved the pizza. They let you choose the type of crust and we chose New York. We both agreed the only thing keeping it from being a 5/5 was that it needed a bit more pizza sauce (the amount of cheese and toppings was spot on). Overall, enjoyed our lunch and would look forward to going back and trying some of their other pizza selections.

It's been a long time since I've tried this place. Use to go to Spanky's at their original location as a kid. To my surprise, I was near this location for a lacrosse game and stopped for a pie. Spanky's is pretty special. The pizza is very good, especially the margarita pizza. The wings are pretty standard, but also very good. What makes Spanky's special is that it's a beautiful sit-down restaurant with a nice bar and outside seating is also available. We enjoy sitting at the bar, but there are plenty of tables as well. Spanky's has a full bar and the Texas Tea seems to be a popular concoction. We prefer the draft beer options. One of our favorite appetizers is the fried pickles. But honestly, they are a little too salty and the pickles are pretty thin. The salt should be cut back a bit in my opinion. If you dip in the ranch dressing, it fixes that problem. Or if you're like me, Chalula gets it done. The main thing about Spanky's is that you get good food, good drinks, friendly staff, and you can enjoy a nice roomy restaurant to eat it in. It's family friendly, has plenty of televisions, and is a comfortable place to eat pizza. read more

First. The food is awesome and cooked with love. Second I ordered here through door dash recently and got a chicken Parmesan pasta & Philly cheesesteak. I can not make this up I promise , I said to my girl I bet they're wondering why we are just ordering from a pizza place & not get any pizza. Fast forward to my delivery driver getting here I have an extra box and say is this mine as well and he says yes. It was a small pepperoni Passion. For having this for my first time I just want to say thank you for making a great memory and delivering such heart warming food. Thank you all who cooked the food tonight. Amazing ! Casual fare with friendly service. Family friendly atmosphere with lots of food choices. I like that there are a lot of TVs to watch sports games. We had the Fried Pickles appetizer & it was one of the best so far. Crunchy crust with juicy pickle flavor that was not soggy at all. We ordered pizzas and burgers & they were all good. The BEST FOOD I have.eaten in a long time! We go there or place an order for pick up at least 2 times a week. For pick up I usually get a sandwich with ham, cheese, and delicious buns. My 3 teenagers always order pizza,, and my husband orders various sea food. When we go there for inside sit down eating we always ask our waitress for recommendations. Of course after this review, I we'll probably go there tonight for dinner! read more

This is the last time I'll ever come to this place, I got my car broken into and come to find out there's not cameras facing the parking lot. Why tf would there not be any cameras in the parking lot? I came to eat some over priced food just to find out I got my window broken into and got my belongings stolen. After the chaos of the recent winter storm, it was so pleasing to visit a place where they made us feel at home. Upon our arrival, Roberto (our server) saw us from the parking lot and immediately held the door and welcomed us in. He acknowledged the recent hardships we had all had overcome these past days. Then he proceeded to sit us and explained in detail the restrictions set due to the unsanitary tap water. As a daughter of a Spanish speaker, I have to translate and order for my mother when we visit a restaurant. Sometimes even Spanish speaking address themselves directly to me when taking and order, but Roberto was quite the opposite. He acknowledged every single person in our table, greeted us with a warm smile (that was noticeable even behind his mask), and anticipated our needs.His customer service was phenomenal. We will definitely be returning because not only did he exceed our expectations, he made us feel right at home! Thank you Roberto! read more

I've had Spanky's on 2 separate occasions and for both I have not been impressed. The first time we ordered and when we picked it up it was cold and the pasta didn't have much flavor. Today I ordered a lunch special 8 inch pizza and it didn't impress me either. I ordered pepperoni, bacon, and jalapeños. Technically I got all jalapeños with some bacon and 3 pepperonis. I doubt I'll be back. read more

Yummo!! We love this place. Who can beat $1 mimosas on the weekends?? No, but seriously - their thin crust pizza takes me back to pizza inn (my favorite chain back in the day). We get the veggie pizza thin crust and it is delicious. We are more wood fired/Italian style pizzas so we ask for light cheese on on our pizzas. Be aware, if you sit in the bar, the service really lacks. Stick to the dining area if you are eating! read more

Just only today, First off business was slow today but my waitress was slower, this place definitely deserve 5 stars just not today. Blame it on the waitress, never had to look for a waitress to ask for a refill and same for having to ask for napkins. Well that is the only problem was the waitress food was awesome I had bbq chicken pizza no onions it was smashing 5 stars but I had to leave due to my waitress irritating me due to not being trained correctly I asked for my drink refilled before I left she forgot that like ugh ‍ not a good day I'm soooo dissatisfied and disappointed read more

Spanky's lays the SMACKDOWN on ALL their PIZZAS! I DIDN'T EVEN EAT ONIONS/VEGGIES AND ANY STUFF ASIDE FROM MEAT/CHEESE ON PIZZA LOL--but--after trying many of their menu options... Their food is good but the service is horrible. Don't sit at the bar hungry or thirsty, it'll be at least 30 minutes before you get your drinks and another 30 for your food. We gave them 3 chances and all three they disappointed with the same slow service. Spankys on Telephone road has always been fast and they have the friendliest staff ever. We moved away from telephone but we'll make the drive to eat and have cold drinks there, it's worth the drive. read more

Delicious and local! This is my go-to neighborhood pizza joint, equally delicious whether we're grabbing beers and watching the game or ordering takeout. I can only speak for the pizzas and salads--fantastic. Get the deep dish crust if you need some extra love (and deliciousness). Portions are huge, prices are reasonable. Fantastic servers. read more

From the crowd at this very small establishment I was impressed and excited to try out choices of Pepper Vodka and Pepperoni. The Pepperoni was traditional but a limited about of pepperoni as you can see in the photograph, noting about of the ordinary. The Peppered Vodka sauce was excellent, but again limited sausage. The crust was probably the best part of the pizzas. Talespin is what I'd consider an "average" pizzeria when comparing to the "non-chain" establishments around town. Still not as good as you'd get at a proper Italian restaurant, but better than Domino's or Papa John's.

We ordered the Dream Catcher and Troublemaker. Dream Catcher-you had me at Goat cheese and Truffle and the Fior Di Latte took it over the top! Troublemaker was also enjoyed with the Chicken Italian sausage which is not available everywhere. Bonus-house made tomato sauce-which was delicious. A couple of salads and desserts so it's all about the pizza here and that's just fine. Service was upbeat and engaged. They do have another location in the Heights. I would say one of the best pizza spots in Htown. Don't miss the Dream Catcher!

The chili oil was just that The wait was 45 minutes and it was well worth it. Customer service was A1. Food was delicious. They gave a high rating and are busy for a reason.

The whole place is spacious, before it gets packed (and it can get packed). The pizzas are my favorite here and their smash burgers are HIGHLY underrated. My favorite burgers aside from trill burger while at the rodeo. Honestly, you can't go wrong here. The bartenders are nice, the merch is cool, and they have stickers and a Photo Booth. I had a very disappointing experience. The bartender, Debra, was extremely rude and unwelcoming, and when the issue was brought to the manager's attention, the poor customer service was supported rather than addressed. The establishment is clearly not prepared to accommodate large parties. Despite the bar being nearly empty, the bartender refused to serve our group without providing a reasonable explanation. There was no attempt to be accommodating or find a solution. Customer service sets the tone for a business, and unfortunately, this experience fell far below expectations. I would not recommend this place for groups or anyone expecting professional hospitality. If you want it shorter, more direct, or spicier, say the word and I'll adjust it. read more

This Spanky's location just opened this past Monday and I've already been there twice! The food is sooo good! I've already had their pizza, burger, wings and you have got to try the cheesesteak with the queso! Ask for Chris the manager, really nice guy and took great care of us.
