This is my first time getting carpet cleaning and wow did they do an amazing job! Not only were they super friendly, they were also extremely professional and responsive! Some back story is that we have a unit at one of our properties that has been abandoned for 2 years. Several years ago I had an off white suede couch that had gotten dirty and old looking. I hired Sparkling Carpets to clean the upholstery and they did a great job. Years later I decided to buy all new off white area rugs for my apartment. After spending so much more time inside during the pandemic, they were getting really dirty looking. In December 2020, my living room rug was looking almost dark gray from all the ash from the fires in the summer and too much time at home. Sparkling Carpets cleaned it and it looked brand new. Both Ken and Raul were AMAZING to work with! They made the whole process of getting our large 8x10 rug cleaned SO EASY. I emailed for an inquiry/estimate around 8pm, Ken responded immediately and also texted me which was great because we were in a rush to get the rug out before we moved. Everything was booked by 9:30pm, and they came to pick it up the next day! We moved to San Mateo and they even were willing to drop it off at the new address. As for Raul with the pick up and drop off, he was on time and so friendly. He didn't have any trouble finding our apartment (and it's not easy to find), he just showed up at our door! Sparkling Carpets San Francisco came to deep clean our carpet before we moved into our condo. Ken and his team did a fantastic job. From scheduling to punctuality to services, everything was top-notch! I never had to deal with carpet before so my boyfriend and I were doing a lot of research on Yelp and Google reviews. Surprisingly, there are very few reviews out here for carpet cleaning in the Bay Area. We had initially contacted a few places to get a quote, Ken was the only one who was extremely thorough and timely with his responses to us. This was the ultimate reason why we went with Sparkling Carpets. During the day of the appointment, Raoul came 5-10 minutes early which was a plus. The appointment went really well and we are extremely satisfied with the results! It took about 24 hours for the carpet to dry off and the carpet looks "sparkling" new. I had a leak from the washing machine (well, still do, but that's a story for another day) and had wet carpet in front of the washing machine that wouldn't really dry because the pad was wet too. Sparkling Carpets came out and found that the carpet in my closet next to the washing machine was wet too, which meant the baseboard was wet too. They opened up the carpet and left me the dryer for an entire weekend to make sure the carpet and baseboard would totally dry out, and then kicked the carpet back into place. They basically came out the day after I contacted them and came recommended from my HOA (I'm in a condo complex) and I can see why. 10/10 would recommend! read more

My only regret was waiting so long to call Ken at Sparkling Carpets. Red wine spilled on our white sofa. We did our best to clean it up right away but woke up to yellow stains. I spent about 5 hours over 4 days with a variety of cleaning products trying to get the stain out and mostly succeeded in moving it around the sofa, not actually removing it. Raul from Sparkling Carpets came out the next day and got 99.9% of the stain out, you basically need to be two inches from the surface to still see it. He also kindly gifted me some spray that is supposed to break down the wine pigments over time. He was fantastic, efficient and friendly. My initial hesitation was the cost, basically there is a high minimum fee that isn't ideal for small jobs. However, in the future, I won't hesitate again. read more

I bought 2 hand woven rugs while in Morocco that needed to be cleaned. Both are wool with cactus fiber and require the cleaning to be very delicate. Owner was timely in responding to my inquiry and offered the best pricing that I could find. The tech who picked up the carpet described how he'd test an area first to make sure the rugs would tolerate the cleaning and estimated they'd be ready in 10 days to two weeks--the turnaround was much faster than predicted, owner again worked with me to deliver at a time that was convenient. I was impressed with Sparkling Carpet's website being the most informative specifically with water damaged carpet. NOTE: If you think you also have mold/mildew damage as well, I strongly suggest contacting this company as a starting point. They will give you a well informed and realistic opinion of how extensive your damage is, instead of jacking up the prices that are out of context with the actual damage. I spoke with Ken (that's his short-name) and he was just FANTASTIC to talk to on the phone. His listened to my situation (where most companies didn't) and even though it was a small job (just being a short hallway), gave good and honest advice. Ken was also great with following through and excellent communication. I asked for a price estimate ranging from a starting amount (if it's mild damage) to the anticipated maximum amount if the water damage if more extensive that's found. The actual scheduling was a bit bumpy but in this case it wasn't Ken's fault. What was really impressive is that he was proactive and resolved the situation right away by having someone come later in the evening the very next day so I wouldn't have to miss work. VERY IMPRESSIVE! Jerry, who came to look that the damage was just as FANTASTIC ! He was professional, very knowledgeable, genuine and his pricing was very reasonable. He addressed the problem right away, explained what he can do and got to work on the carpet right away. Not only was Jerry's work impressive but his advice was tremendously helpful. He was very attentive in looking at the water damage and listening to me explain the problem. Any kind of water damage can be very stressful and make your life upside down for a while. This company really helped get down the problem WITHOUT over diagnosing the damage, blowing it out of proportion and over charging me. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK I contacted this company because they were "bonded and insured" came highly regarded on city search and yelp and guaranteed technicians with 15 years of experience. The techs that came to our home were MAYBE 20 years old and they belonged to a sub contractor. The cleaning unit they used leaked water onto our hardwood floors in the hall and caused damage. The carpets were dirty in places that had previously been clean. and at the end of the day it was just a mess. They blamed the dirty carpets on soot under my carpets from when the building was built (THIS IS A NEW CONDO BY THE WAY) Ken at Sparkling carpets assured me they would take care of everything and for the next 2 months I got the run around from their sub contractor. TRI COUNTY CARPET CARE - They tried a dehumidifier which didnt work, then later told me they were not responsible at all. Finally Ken filed an insurance clain after I told him I would go to the Better Business Bureau and file a claim. Their insurance found them NOT LIABLE because they hired a sub. The case then went to tri county's insurance (same insurance company). What gets me most of all is that the guys at Tri County striaght up lied to their insurance comany and told them that the damage was there before their arrival. After 3 months of this nonsense they ruled in my favor but all I can say is Buyer Beware. You had better check the crudentials of the guys that actually clean your carpets. EDIT 6/24 IN RESPONSE TO THE BS BELOW Ken, Jerry is a liar, and now you are too, you guys spilled the water on the floor, your tech tim admitted to it, then when you found out the cost to repair you back peddled like hell. Whe tried your dehumidifier and and it didnt work - in fact it leaked further so YES we turned it off after 15 hours if you recall correctly - We tried to deal with this nicely but you guys just lie and lie and lie so YES, I am going to call you on it. To say I wouldnt cooperate is a joke when a week would elapse between each time I would call to schedule for help and your tech Jerry just wouldn't return calls or show up at all. you also say my wife didnt notice which is also a lie, she and your tech put towels down to soak up the water and have pictures to prove it. Very bad experience with this company. They might do a good job for cleaning carpets, but definitely not for swapping. I initially contacted Ken and was told the yellow stain could not be got rid off. He suggested to do swapping $250 and did not explain about the whole process at all. When the technician, Raul came, he told me there will be a little gap in the area where he took out the replacement, but after about 45 minutes of work, the gap definitely is not a little and it is loose(See uploaded the images). When I called back to see if it can be fixed, they said they would charge me(one said $75 and the other said $100) because this is considered 2 different jobs. I was hoping this company can be more transparent and consistent to their customers. If you are looking to do a swap for your carpets, think twice before hiring them. read more

I was very pleased with the great job that was done on both of my rugs! The smaller of the two rugs was multicolored and very dirty and the larger one was a thick gray shag carpet which had a couple of Legos hiding inside of it. Sparkling Carpets solved my problem & accommodated my time frame, thanks to great communication with Ken. I had no way of picking up an incredibly heavy, plush, high quality 9x12 hand woven New Zealand felted wool shag area rug from a Nextdoor neighbor, who was giving it away. I asked if they could arrange to pick it up from the neighbor, clean it, and save it for me until I finished my room renovation. I took a chance on the used rug (not exactly knowing if it had terrible stains on it!) and hoped that whatever magic they used on a rug such as this would work. They held onto it until I got all my painting done and delivered it in the small time frame that I needed in order to be home for the delivery. Ken's partner said he and staff washed it twice, so obviously they made great efforts to get the stains out, and the results were excellent. Since I didn't actually see the rug beforehand (except for one corner), I can only imagine what they had to deal with. I consider the $324 well spent, as a new rug of this calibre might cost a lot more (or maybe not even be available anymore), and they solved all my transport problems as well. The rug is the final element to my room renovation and warmed it up considerably! read more
