Part 1 of the experience-…read more So far the service one would expect from a Mom (Maria) and Son (Fernando) duo is what's expected- Excited (The Son Fernando); attentive (The Mom Maria); engaging ( the Son Fernando compliments women picking up wedding dresses and talks sports with the fellas)- All AMAZING qualities to keep customers coming back- Especially on Saturday - Depending on what you are looking for in customer service, although AMAZING, the attention and excitement could be overwhelming- The customer service experience appears to be built on excitement and immediate response to customers entering the shop- We ALL like immediate response and attention to detail, however, we have our movements when we want calm, cool and collective- Wedding dresses were being picked up quickly, on time and without complaints from 4 soon to be Brides, a prom dress was being altered, while Maria took alterations in my three piece suits- Lastly, suit bags or other agency cleaner bagging options for your clothes will not be held or accepted. Instead, they ask that you take the bags you bring the clothes in, back home with you- be prepared to leave with the bags you bring- Attention to detail will be instrumental in the final review of the experience, as this is my first time using their services- Stand bye- May 19

I recently picked up two garments that still had the same stains I brought them in for, yet I was still charged for the cleaning. I understand that not all stains can be removed, but if that's the case, customers shouldn't be charged as if the issues were resolved. At the very least, I would expect a heads-up when dropping items off if something looks unsalvageable, especially since I pointed out the problem areas in detail ahead of time. Or at minimum, a conversation at pickup about what happened or a partial refund for not being able to do the work needed. Instead, I was expected to take the items as-is and pay in full for the service. When I asked about it, I was told "we cleaned the garments," which may be true, but the reason I brought them in was to address those specific stains. When I calmly pushed back, I was told, "This isn't the place to bring my items," and was issued a refund. I was being dismissed and steamrolled with excuses simply for asking for better customer service. I stayed polite and was just trying to understand their reasoning, but there was no accountability until I raised the issue. As a business owner myself, if I can't deliver on what a customer is paying for, I take responsibility for that. I've had good experiences here in the past, but this left a bad impression. I'll be going elsewhere for my cleaning needs.

I took it back and asked to speak to the spot cleaner. I exhorted him to get the stain out - he said he'd "try his best". A week later, the stain was still there, and they charged me for the redo! When I protested, the guy behind the counter simply said "see you around". Well, no, they won't "see me around". After some research, I found Classy cleaners. It's really far from where I live in West LA, but I was desperate, so I gave them a try. Delly was so sweet - she too said "We'll do our best". But they delivered! They saved that blouse for me. They have a new, devoted - and grateful - customer!

The shirt in particular had a bad stain that I could not get rid of, but Eco Coastal CLeaners succeeded! My other items were returned clean and freshly pressed. One of the great things from Eco Coastal Cleaners is that they're mobile, so the entire process of dropping off and delivery was very convenient. I interacted with Larry. I submitted a request for a quote through Yelp, which he responded quickly to. I reserved a pickup date through their website, Larry came to pick up and gave me a time estimate for the cleaning (2 days because I wasn't in a hurry). Throughout the process, Larry was very communicative and gave me a 30 min head's up when he was about to arrive. Prices were also reasonable. Larry accepts all form of payments, and I ended up using Venmo. Everything was very convenient and professional, and I would definitely recommend.

They gave me an estimate over the phone and when I got there they had me try on the dress and measured how much it should be hemmed. They found a little tear in the back of the dress that I didn't notice before and offered to fix it for free! I said I would absolutely pay more to have it fixed and they refused to let me pay for it! I worked with Sathya, and she was amazing! I will only be coming here from now on! Thank you Sathya!!
