Ok so this is my second review for sparkys. Great stuff again.. and looks like not only the owners but the employees working there are just as nice and pleasant as the owners. This time i had chipotle sauced boneless wings with cajun fries while my friend had the cajun chicken sandwitch which he munched like it was no one business and mentioned before it is the bomb i hear. but i am sucker for boneless wings. this time around the order of 5 wings came with 8. Aslo gave me the sweet and spice BBq sauce to try like the last time. Very satisfied and will keep coming back read more

The best wing selection anywhere. Prices are very reasonable. My fav: Flight of the Honeybee. Sides are great (try the veggies!). Burgers are fantastic! All they need is a beer license! read more

I like this place..... A LOT. I've eaten here 3 times and it's been consistently fantastic. Every sauce I've tried so far is delish (don't ask me what they are, but I've prob tried 10 flavors) Unfortunately I haven't tried much other than the wings, like the burgers or other sammies. ALTHOUGH....the fried buffalo bleu cheese sticks are NOM NOM NOM. Think mozzarella sticks, but the bleu cheese is soft not stretchy, then rolled in buffalo sauce and served with blue cheese dressing. Sparky's is SO good! Luckily, I live a block away from them, which is awesome! I got their Cajun Bayou Dry Rub wings and it was excellent. My boyfriend got their Pterodactyl Wings and those were excellent as well! It came with fries and the perfect amount of wings. You can also get beer there too! Sparky's flew under my radar for years. I stopped in tonight for the first time and was impressed by the menu. I'll have to come back for another try, though, as my first 3 styles were less than thrilling. I got 3 "5 wing piece + fries" meals. At 6.90 each, I thought it (and the rest of the wing menu) was overpriced. Please note that "piece" means "half wing." Not that I was counting or anything, but of 15 pieces I only got 2 drumettes. Hot Rod: A good standard Buffalo wing Chipotle: I can't quite describe it. I was expecting something Mexicany. Not. Jamaican: Jerk is one of my favorite flavors. This place is awesome. They have tons of delicious and creative sauces. I'm working my way down the wing menu and so far my favorite sauces are the Wicked PB&J and Holy Chipotle. If you like Buffalo wings, or basically any form of breaded, fried chicken you need to try this place! I'm not sure what happened to this spot but it use to be the holy grail for wings. Now it's mediocre. I ordered pb&j wings and there was hardly any sauce on them. All of the sauce was swimming on the bottom and not on the wings. Also upgraded the fries to cheesy fries and they just threw in a half full small (salad dressing container) container of cheese. Placed an order here during a quiet time of the day, I walked back to my apartment 10 minutes away on a cold icy day to find out I had the wrong order, due to the fact there were 2 orders under my same name. When we called back, they requested the wrong order to be brought back and of course resold to the correct customer (which is very uncourteous, as to now the food is cold and could've been tampered with). When I got back he gave me the correct order, and I when I brought up that the order I paid for was more than my original order, he just shrugged and sent me on my way. So I am not someone the normally comes on Yelp to leave a bad review but I have finally hit my limit with this place. First off let me start off by saying I love the wings here and I come here far too often, usually take out but I occasionally get delivery. Now on to my issue with this place. The customer service here is absolutely horrendous. The only people there that don't seem to hate their lives are the owner/manager? Not sure I do believe he owns both locations, and the lady, they are both very nice and polite. The other guys are for the most part flat out rude. One time I called in an order and the guy was kind of short with me and just seemed miserable, whatever he's probably had a bad day so I just let it go. I go in and the same guy cashes me out, doesn't say a word, not a thank you, he doesn't say anything about my order just slaps down the receipt for me to sign. So after about a minute I ask if my orders ready and he snaps at me and tells me it's gonna be a few minutes, so I snapped back and said he could have said something. Now I don't want to be that guy, but I worked in a restaurant for over 10 years and that is not how you treat customers. It's unacceptable. Now tonight I ordered some wings and I ordered a BLT. The guy who took my order repeated back the BLT. I 100% asked for it, I know for sure because it was my first time ordering it so I remember actually saying it. Delivery driver drops off the food, no BLT. Ok I say something to the driver, he says he will go back and grab it. 30 minutes go by, and nothing so I call in. The lady answers I ask her about the BLT she says she will get the guy who took my order. He says to her I never ordered a BLT, no one even called me about the obvious misunderstanding or anything. I just picked at my food while I waited for the BLT that I was told was coming. Now let's forget about the fact that I know very well that I did ask for the BLT. You do not blame the customer if you forgot to write down the order. Even if you think they forgot to order, which I didn't, you don't just say "no he didn't order a BLT". They have forgotten my bleu cheese before, my salads, my soda's and I just chalk it up as a loss but this time, the way it was handled really left a bad taste in my mouth. 4 to 5 times a month I give this place my money and they just don't seem to care. A small hole in the wall with BIG taste! THe wings are great and filled with funky flavors like peanut butter and jelly. My roommate LOVEs this place! But my favorite? I'd like to give them zero stars if I could. Worst customer service ever!!!! I will never come back here, which is unfortunate because they have the best wings. I've had issues with my order in the past and boycotted the place for a while. I decided to give them another shot because they're wings are the best around, but never again! I was put on hold three times while trying to call my order in. Once while I was actually in the middle of talking! I had a feeling they had my order wrong from the start. Came here on a wing as we are from out of town My wife, our friend and myself My boneless wings were cooked to perfection, and very well portioned My wife's wings came out the wrong flavor, and my friend had ordered a burger specially with no cheese. Yet I came out with cheese. After pointing out the issues, they were quickly fixed with a smile and without hesitation. Since under new ownership Ive experienced longer wait times for delivery poor food quality and hassle from the owner. I was kicked out of sparkies for having a bad attitude. Little did the owner know I was sick of their lackluster service as I used to get delivery every sunday and I told him how I felt quality was being compromised. I was told to leave after I told him His blue cheese dressing "sucked". He is a real asshole who deserves to have his business license revoke and shut down. Also I asked for silverware while eating in not once but twice! Additionally the older lady who is usually ringing the orders is not very smart. What could take no longer than a minute to order takes about 3 because of her failure to be quick and efficient. Lastly I noticed the cooking staff is made up of mostly derelicts I attended high school with. Finally!! After a mad search in New England to find some awesome wings, we finally found them at Sparky's. Wings need to be crispy on the outside without too much breading, juicy on the inside, and have an awesome flavor. These were perfect. We've been there twice now, both times I've ordered the Shanghai Noon wings. They started off as just ok, but by the time I was done with my order I wanted to drink the sauce! My bf has gotten two diff flavors both times, so I can't recall his flavors. I do know that he loves spicy food. He tried the double trouble and didn't think they were hot enough. So he asked for a sample of the ghostrider sauce to put on a dry rub and it was crazy, make you sweat hot. I can't wait to go back to try a few more flavors! read more

I saw the review of sparky's on phantom gourmet and thought usually I disagree with phantom but this down the street from my work and I like buffalo wings. I especially like buffalo wings on salad. So I made my own salad at home and went to sparky's for lunch got an order of 8 boneless buffalo wings. Th wings are large. I ate 3 on the salad and saved the rest for my lunch the next day. Service was friendly. I ended up trying the double trouble wings. The spice was definitely there but not so hot you burn your mouth and cannot taste anything else. The guy who took my order was friendly. Location is small and a little sketchy. Looking forward to trying some other flavors read more

I just moved to the area a month ago and have already returned twice (it is that good!) I am really not a huge chicken wing fan but they know what they are doing here! First time I ordered the PB & J bone in wings and they were really yummy! as well as some boneless Firecracker wings (soooooooo good). The second time, I wanted to try the Firecracker again, and they were spicer than I had remembered, but still just as delicious! I also tried the honey mustard ones- they were good but could use a bit more sauce (i must admit i overdo it on sauces). It gets busy here- onceI tried to call ahead but they were busy and it went straight to the mailbox so I just ended up ordering in the place and waiting. This SHOULD be a four star review but I just can't go there because of the guy who answered the phone. I'm really big on customer service and this guy was just rude. As a first time customer it was really disappointing. I get it if they are busy.. rushing to take an order and get off the phone.. but he was impatient for my answers repeating his questions two or three times and was interrupting me. It was am awkward call. I didn't even end up ordering all the sauces we wanted because I felt like I was inconveniencing him by calling in to order. It was a sizeable pickup so I thought the courtesy would be better than just dropping it on them during lunch hours. He didn't tell me my total, but he also hung up before I could ask. I almost cancelled the order but I had a bunch of people over and everyone wanted wings and fries. ** Please Read Entire Review** I've been a loyal and happy customer of Sparky's since I moved to the Haverhill area about 5 years ago- they had great, swift delivery, friendly staff, quality food (that they continually tried to improve and create exciting new flavors) with good portions, and decent prices. I especially loved how they consistently changed the desserts with each season (pumpkin cheesecake in the fall, tres leches in the summer, etc). Needless to say- walking in, I never knew what I was going to order! (And I was a consistent customer of at least once a week, every week.) HOWEVER, Sparky's has SERIOUSLY dropped off in the last year or so- messing up orders on an entirely new level (such as: under-cooking/overcooking, interchanging boneless for bone-in or messing up flavors and giving you the wrong dipping sauce- which can be very dangerous if someone has a restricted diet or food allergy); to make things worse, they don't offer delivery service on a consistent basis anymore (you never know if they're going to have a delivery driver or not, so, for a disabled person it can be pretty frustrating at times), they often forget items (drinks, napkins, utensils, etc) and have jacked up the prices. Also, the new manager/owner is seriously rude, if you call to say your order was messed up... a couple of times that I called, they had the gall to INSIST they didn't make a mistake with the order, when they weren't the ones looking at it! I literally had to say "Well, I'm looking at it, and this definitely isn't [my order]." It's ridiculous and insulting. For instance, last night, they messed up an order, plus forgot to deliver napkins and utensils like we asked- when we called back, we told them the order was messed up and that they forgot the napkins and utensils (and they didn't offer to fix anything, we had to ask them to remake and deliver the order)- lo and behold, when the new order arrived, they forgot the napkins and utensils AGAIN. We're so tired of them messing up that we barely order from there anymore and this used to be one of our favorite places. *** My advice- only order from them if you have a TON of patience, and be prepared for a couple items to be wrong with your order- be extra careful if you have a food allergy or dietary restriction.*** read more

Let me preface by saying I have a relatively high benchmark of Anchor Bar of Buffalo to compare wings to. Still trying to find decent buffalo wings in MA. Went with wife and son for the dinner for 4 special. Had wings (medium), boneless wings (teridactyl), fries and salad. Wings was a bit overcooked and not juicy. This is also for the Salem location. Sparky's is LEGIT. My husband and I have tried several flavors of their wings (Hot Rod, Firecracker, PB&J, Bayou Dry Rub) and each one was outta sight delicious. The spicy ratings don't lie (which we love); they pack good heat. The M80's are habanero peppers stuffed with chorizo and fried and OH MY GOD they hurt so good. If you can stand the heat and love an endorphin rush, try them. Sparky's delivers and they are fast and friendly. Awesome staff! Hands down best wings we've had in New England, and we'll be hitting them up often. read more

The boneless wings here are awesome! There are so many flavors to choose from, but if you're having trouble deciding, try the Teradactyl wings-- the sauce is a mix of teriyaki and Buffalo and is probably my favorite here. Based on Yelp reviews, I forwarded the website to BF, who ordered a combination of boneless and bone-in wings for the Super Bowl shindig we attended at a friend's house in Haverhill. BF ordered Cajun and Hot Rod Buffalo wings, and they were delicious--meaty and flavorful. (We had plenty left over to bring home, as all the Patriots fans lost their appetites in the second half of the game. Touche.) I'd love to go back and try their other sauces, particularly the much-ballyhooed PB&J and Shanghai Noon flavors. Unfortunately, I don't know when we'll be able to revisit Sparky's because downtown Haverhill's a bit of a haul from Nashua, but I'm sure we'll do so sooner rather than later. read more

So I decided to give Sparky's one last chance, and I called in for a delivery. The man on the phone actually sounded like he knew what he was talking about. I ordered a 3pc Boneless of Bonfire BBQ and a 4pc boneless dinner of Jamaican me crazy. The delivery came in about 30-40mins which is good because it normally takes about an hour, which as long as it's hot, I don't care about how long it takes. When I opened up the container, it was like the sparky's I use to know. I got the 4pc and got probably about 6-7pieces. It tasted awesome, I'll change my review to a 5 star the next time I order in the restaurant once I see how the customer service is in house. read more
