I booked services with Meredith and Michael earlier this month. The best experience I have had. My siblings and I wanted matching tattoos. Our father passed away so this was our way of remembering him. We didn't have anything with his writing except for his drivers license. They actually recreated PERFECTLY! It didn't take long for the transfer to be created and tattooed. I was given easy to follow aftercare instructions and done. Next, I decided to get my nose pierced by Meredith the same day. I have low tolerance for pain but she talked me through the entire process and was extremely knowledgeable. She reassured me that she would be quick and she was. She was very thorough with aftercare instructions and educated me in what to know and look for during the healing process. I had to make a return trip because I snatched my nose ring out by accident and It closed in minutes. I was terrified of the pain. Again Meredith did an AMAZING job! If my daughter decides to pierce her ears (didn't do it as a baby) ...we will take her to Unique Ink to see Mer! Thanks for everything! read more

I walked in at the last minute for a septum on 8/19 and was helped by a very friendly piercer. They were extremely comforting yet honest with me about the process and I had a good experience with the piercing. The issues I did have were as follows: The google maps location was not accurate and staff were not wearing masks properly. I had to call twice, once to ask about the piercing availability and second to figure out the new address after arriving at the old one. When my piercer was doing my septum, they did not wear their mask. Of course they had gloves and sanitized other materials, but I was a bit uncomfortable with the fact that i was no further than a foot away from someone face to face with no masks. Another employee walked into the room and we chatted briefly, they too were not wearing a mask. While I understand the annoyance of wearing a mask, I feel that there is no excuse to not when you are on a job with customers where you might potentially risk their health. My piercer WAS wearing a mask properly when I was greeted to sign paperwork, but for some reason took it off after. The piercing itself was a 10/10 experience, but the COVID-19 precautions were inconsistent, hopefully that changes. read more

Came here on Friday the 13th to get my first tattoo. It is beautiful, I didn't get the name of the artist who actually did it but I do know the original design was one of Michael's. I love my tattoo so much and am so excited that I got it. The only reason why I put 4 stars instead of 5 is now that my tattoo has been healing for a month, some of my lines are already lifting and some of them are blending in together, the artist just didn't go deep enough with the needle. If I could give no rating, I would. These guys were extremely unprofessional. They offer you their contact information, in some cases their Twitter and such, and then deny you their services if you so much as contact them that way. Highly uncommunicative via phone and in person, claimed we were harassing them from sending a single tweet regarding sending our tattoo references. Refused to provide evidence of harassment. These messages of harassment we were sent came from an unknown phone number from nobody we were introduced to at the studio. Absolutely will not be recommending this studio to absolutely anyone and will absolutely be leaving a review regarding this where I can. read more

I asked for a simple cat tattoo. Just of a shaded in black cat face and whiskers... the artist rushed and it honestly looks nothing like what I asked for. I asked the artist to pull up the picture I wanted off google and he said I can just free hand it, when he showed me the one he did, it was not symmetric at all, which I told him and he said he would fix it on the one he traced for the transfer paper. He finished my tattoo in 3 min and I mentioned how the whiskers were way to close together and he said it was fine.. All and all I am just very sad with how this turned out. DO NOT GET A PIERCING HERE!!! Went in for a piercing (nipples) though inverted was told they could do it. The piercer (female) made me feel very comfortable but did not seem to know what she was doing even though she said she's done it multiple times. After struggling to get the clamp to stay, she put the needle through twice (very painful) she then continued to the next and pierced straight through a vein AFTER having to call in another piercer and almost free handing it. BOTH piercings was straight through the areola not the nipple. She then continued to put a MENS BAR in a female nipple, which was way too small. I was then instructed to change the bar on my own (which I did not do). I went to a different shop where I was told that the way she pierced them was completely wrong. The vein, my areola, none of it was done right. My nipple turned purple and was shooting blood out like a sprinkler. I was informed she could of went through a duct which would cause permanent damage, which means if ever wanting to breast feed, I would be unable to. DO NOT GET A PIERCING HERE!! though they make you feel comfortable, they do it wrong. read more

The guy working today was less than pleasant. He mumbled a lot of what he was saying so I couldn't quite hear him nor understand him. Told him I wanted my nose pierced and sat down. He rushed through the whole process, didnt let me chose my jewelry and didn't tell me any after care instructions NOTHING. Finished and told me okay you're good it's $40. I paid. Thanked him and walked out and used my phone to see what it looked like and my nose was bleeding. I get that happens this isn't my first piercing but he didn't even bother to clean it up or anything. It's really unfortunate that I have to make this review given this was the ideal place for me to get my tattoos after the color test tattoos went fantastic. But after this ordeal, it's not enough of an incentive to ever return... not that I can. In short: I was banned and had my appointment canceled for 'harassing the staff' after sending exactly two messages (between 9 days) trying to get in contact with the person who was designing my tattoo. I wouldn't recommend coming here if communication is important to you. In detail: I got my color-test tattoo done here and it went well, I had plans to get the rest of my planned tattoos done here for that reason. I called in and told the tattoo artist what I wanted and he said he'd draw something up by the coming Sunday, he said to contact him if that day came and went without me seeing what he drew up. That day came and went, so I tried messaging him to no avail. I drove up there one day to see if I could see him in person, he says he was too busy to draw up my tattoo (he was also in the process of tattooing someone as we spoke). So he calls over a tattoo apprentice who has an ipad handy to draw on and asks him to get the basics of my tattoo design down. He was friendly enough and we get the basics of what I wanted down and he gives me his card with his contacts on it including his Twitter, I could only assume Twitter was listed on his card as an acceptable way to reach him. We even got an appointment for my tattoo down. A few days later I realized the tattoo apprentice would have been working without references for my tattoo, I wanted my tattoo to come out correctly so I shot him a direct message on Twitter asking if he would like my references for the tattoo. 9 days pass without response and to this day the message is still marked as unread. At this point, we are coming up on the day of my tattoo with no response, so I send him a tweet, asking him if he could please check his direct messages when he had the time and that it was about my tattoo. No response. The next day I get a text message from a number I don't recognize/have saved saying that my tattoo appointment has been canceled for 'harassing the staff', I try to explain myself saying I was only trying to contact the person who was designing my tattoo to no avail, I was stonewalled. In addition, after being accused of harassment, they did not produce any screenshots or evidence regarding how I was specifically harassing them, leading me to believe they were going just on the word of the apprentice who seemed to have greatly exaggerated his claims of me trying to contact him. All I ever wanted was to make sure that my tattoo came out right but instead I was banned and ignored after exactly two messages, now I have to try and find another tattoo parlor that doesn't see me as an annoyance/harasser for trying to contact them about my tattoo. read more

He created a design that was even better than I imagined. I get complements on it all the time. The owner is a great guy and made me feel important while I was there. I highly recommend this shop. Their studio is very clean and comfortable, and it's easy to spend a few hours here. They work by appointment or walk-in, based on availability. Went on a flash sale! When we checked in we where page 3! When we checked a11/2 hours later when they said that would be roughly our time! When we left after people who showed up after us went in and they mixed the pages up and we all of a sudden where page ! We arrived at 12:28 and left a little after 6pm! People were able to get multiple flash sale tattoo's and piercings! Which made the wait longer. People were signing up friends who were 30min away. When we left there 11 pages had people on it and they were only on page 2! They were calling people and waiting for them to show up! The worst customer service! When we called and asked to speak to a manager they said we were lying! Really, there were multiple people complaining about the same thing and leaving! We left! I will not get a tattoo from a facility that doesn't run things correctly and changes the rules! They said everyone on the list before 6 pm would get seen! I came in to get a semi colon tattoo the size of a quarter. First of all, the guy never introduced himself and did not disclaim price to me before we began the ink. Turns out, he decided to charge me $75 for such a small and average piece of work. He was extremely rude and walked away from me without explaining after care, and then turned angry when I went to leave because I thought he was done. if i could give this place a zero i would. i came here to get my industrial done and the guy pierced it wrong. for one he didn't show me the markings. when i asked if he was going to clean my ear he said "nah your ear is good" and when he dropped a tool that he was using to pierce me he asked my ungloved boyfriend to hand it to him. i had to go back and get it repierced because the first time he pierced it with a tongue ring and then the second time he pierced it he used a ring that is used for a back of the neck piercing or a neck piercing. he piercers name was nick he has brown hair. My friend and I were looking for a shop one day that allowed walk ins. Found this shop in Marietta Square and was invited in. Very clean and professional, definitely not a "let's do this, give me your money and scram" type of shop. They always allow walk ins and appointments no matter what. Love love love this place. Michael did my first tattoo on my 18th birthday- geese in memory of my sister- and I love it more and more everyday. He spent so much time making me comfortable with the whole process before starting. I went back a few months later for tre to pierce my cartilage and he did a great job and is always so friendly. I am a teacher. When I was formerly in school the big push was to learn, gain knowledge, know lots of stuff, do well on tests, and be smart. All of that still has its place of course. However, the soft skills are very very important. Can you get along with people? Work collaboratively on a team or a project? Can you do your part of the job? Can you become multi skilled? Do you empathize with people? What the hell does this have to do with getting a tattoo? I got my first tattoo last night at Unique Ink. My first interaction was with Ron via phone. He let me know they were open, I wondered because of the blizzard! He let me know they were tweaking a few things at the shop and that otherwise would have normal hours. I arrived around 730. I was greeted by Ron and another artist there. They have great team chemistry. This was to be my first tattoo. Of many? Maybe. Virgin tattoo was me! I asked Ron a bunch of questions. I showed him a few pictures of what I thought. He gave me his honest opinion on the pictures I showed him. We agreed on an enhanced version of a pic I had! The other artist actually drew up the stencil. It was almost time to rock and roll. I loved the fact that the two artists had that kind of collaboration. I did tell Ron I was a big pussy and was worried about the pain. He said it was like scratching a sun burn. I was thinking, Ow! I went back and Ron did his prep thing. He got to it. I was anxious as hell. The first few click click clicks from the needle and we were off. It was a few minutes later, probably 7 minutes later I started to get light headed. Ron had told me if I needed to stop to let him know. I did. I was sweating profusely. I was light headed. For a minute I thought I was going to puke. I moved over to another chair for a few minutes. I was embarrassed as hell. I apologized profusely. I didn't know if I would be able to continue. Then I thought yes. Then I thought what if this happens again. We resumed. About 10-12 minutes went by, and I started to get light headed again. Damn! We stopped again. I apologized profusely again. I felt terrible. We resumed. About 15 minutes went by. For the love, here we go again. Damn it. I'm embarrassed as hell. Ron has told me repeatedly, don't worry this thing happens from time to time. It was sort of like masturbation, it is embarrassing until you realize most people do it. Ron thought the issue was that I hadn't eaten. I ordered Uber Eats and Baby Tommys pizza came. It was delicious. Next time it will be Marietta Pizza since it is around the corner. Pizza came. Ron and I had our first dinner together! We resumed. We rocked and rolled. He finished outline. I finally looked at the tattoo. We took another quick break, this time it was preplanned! We resumed. He finished up after about another 45 mins. No more light headedness! Ron was right. Ron did an amazing job on the tattoo. He rocked. I was so pleased with the work. He told me any time I needed a touch up to come see him. So I stretched a 2 hourish tattoo into about a 3.5 hourish tattoo. I told Ron since he had to smoke so much I had to buy him a pack of cigarettes. Lol. I bought lotto tickets, watched movies, got a tattoo, had an argument with the wife, and bought cigarettes all in one day! I came back with six packs! I think he was genuinely thankful. I know I was genuinely thankful. The price of the tattoo was way less than Psycho Tattoo. I'll be able to get three Unique Ink Tats for the price of two over at Psycho. I believe we get what we pay for. I'm happy as a pig in shit with my tattoo! So in this case I got a great looking tattoo at a great price. Ron rocks. His work was great. His soft skills, empathy, patience, team work, and over all genuineness are why I will be returning, on a full stomach, to Unique Ink. read more

I've come to this shop for all my art and all my pieces are awesome, can always come back afterwords to get your healing process double checked and can always ask for some of the artists great work. Got a large fore arm tattoo here and it cost me 100 flat other shops were telling me 2.5 times that price for smaller and less detailed tattoos.
