I have a very old spa (25 years) and the pump began to leak at the volute ring. nobody seemed interested in helping me find the o rings I needed but instead just wanted to sell me a new pump for $250. I restore WW II aircraft as a volunteer so I always look to repair instead of replace if possible. I tried Grainger and they referred me to a spa warehouse (Sunset Spas)across the street. the young woman in front was very helpful and supplied me with the union o rings and the flange at the heater but didn't have the volute ring and she referred me to Spaworks. i called them immediately and spoke with a very pleasant employee who told me that they had exactly what I needed. They came out and finished what Sunset Spa refused to do and fixed the leak that Sunset Spa's tech caused, but they did not get the glue out of the system, which I paid them to do. Also I bought a Super Clean Service for $350, which was a rip off. The tech spent 30 minutes and told me I would have to get in there and clean the walls. The spa was still covered 75% with this glue nightmare that Sunset Spa's tech introduced into our spa and refused to come back and fix. I was very upfront with SpaWorks on the size of the job, infact they came here weeks before to quote the job (on June 5th) and saw the walls were covered 100% and said they could get it cleaned. However, weeks later when their tech arrived to do the job they quoted their Tech told me I would have to clean it, it was too big of a job. Furthermore he told me he used some type of acid that dulled out the walls of our spa. Also, he was supposed to polish the spa with a gel gloss when he was done, but did not. Absolutely horrible company who is only interested in taking your money and not doing the job that they saw weeks earlier, quoted and assured me that if I paid for the Big Clean $350 my spa would be cleaned. They were supposed to balance out the chemicals, as well, but their technician said he didn't have any chemicals on him. He was really good and putting the blame on us and stating its hard water and calcium built up , which is a joke when are water has been tested and proven to be soft. If you decide to hire this company and the job is not done to your satisfaction, DO NOT SIGN THE INVOICE. The guy told me I would have to sign and talk to the office about future appts to finish the job. When I called they refused and said they are no longer cleaning spas, which is a LIE. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. Bought a circuit board from this company for my hot tub for $550. Paid for a professional to come out and install it. Was told the circuit board was bad by the electrician. Called to return. Had to argue to get it returned and was told they would only exchange. They sent back the same one and said it was fine. I paid for another electrician to install it and was told it didn't work again. Bought another board from a different company because we were going on four months without our hot tub. We had the electrician install the one purchased through a different company with no problems. This company charged me $550 for a faulty board and refuses to give me back what I paid for it. I was actually told to call Jacuzzi and see if they will give me my money back for the item Spaworks sold, which they will not. I had to have two different professionals come out because this part didn't work. We had to buy another board and now Spaworks refuses to let us return it for a refund. Just had our max spa repaired. The service technician Vince showed up on time. He was very knowledgeable. He explained all of the needed items and corrected some things with our hot tub cover as it was not properly installed since we purchased the hot tub. It was missing some screws on the bar which prevent it from twisting when you open and close the lid. He replace our top control panel, a blower motor, a few lights and some seals. He also installed a new ozonator. Could not have asked for a better experience. I would highly recommend Vince to repair your hot tub. read more

Don't buy a hot tub cover from them. Mine did not make it a year, the handle strap broke, and the seam tore open. They never mentioned a cost and said it would probably be covered under a warranty.... There was no warranty and cost me 100.00 to repair it took 3 weeks to get back. I was in need of a company to service my hot tub after a surgery and used SpaWorks. I would have been better off not using them at all. They did not clean the spa or maintain it well at all. The chemicals were out of wack and ended up causing folliculitis, or hot tub rash, according to Urgent Care. I had to empty out the spa, clean it and start all over. When I requested a refund, they claimed they performed their service regardless of whether or not I was satisfied, so they would not refund. To top it off, the guy was mansplaining to me how they put chemicals in and that's why I had to pay because that's what service is. So if you want some clowns to mess up your spa chemicals, not call you back, and not refund you, then these are your guys! But it would be wiser to just skip them completely! read more

Went to spaworks after driving around looking for a filter for my spa. Generally I like to try the small businesses as most are struggling during this time period. First shop I went to straight up told me to shop online. Second shop said they did not have it and to give spaworks a shot. It was a little bit of a drive from my house but they have everything you need. Staff was very helpful and got me the part I needed with no issues. Glad I found this place. Sure you could probably find parts cheaper online. But when you have that weird part that you don't know the name of good luck with that online. Do your part and shop small when you can! read more

After hours of searching on line and phone calls to different spa shops, for a filter part and were told they don't make that part any longer my pool guy said to call Spaworks. They were very helpful, said bring the part in we'll find a replacement. I took the part in, he walks to the back and comes out with exactly what others said was discontinued or obsolete. I just read the response from this dealer. Hard to believe that he's telling so many things that are not true. The manufacturer never saw the cover after I picked it up. The manufacturer never had any input into the claim. The manufacturer never inspected this item. The manufacturer never even spoke with me. This is just another attempt to deflect blame for a lousy product to someone else. In this case, the manufacturer. I contacted the store and Alan told me that it would cost him too much money to ship the cover to the manufacturer and then back to his shop for a claim that he was sure that they would deny. He was not willing to cover the cost for this shipping. As for rain damaging the cover-- It rained just enough to wet the ground. That's all. Weathermen would call it a "Trace" amount of rain. Also I have good working gutters installed above the location where the spa is installed. So much for that B.S. Then the so called inspection at the store. I picked it up on a Saturday morning. It was in a closed position and had heavy cellophane wrapped around it. It was never "Opened" to see the entire cover. I did not install it until the patio deck work was finished and that took a few weeks. Better to not have the new cover damaged by the dust and debris from the deck redo. The cover sat in a spare bedroom from the time I brought it home until the day I actually installed it. We treated it with the 303 spray to protect the vinyl and put it on the spa. I noticed the curved top surface right away and thought that perhaps it was something that would flatten out with the heat and sun here in Phoenix. That did not happen. The many excuses by this dealer ran the gamut from rain to my dog damaging the cover. This is just his way to try to excuse the quality of his products. He would not stand behind the sale and I still have his E. Mails to show exactly how he tried to put the blame on anything other than his lousy merchandise. Horrible customer service. I needed about $700 parts to repair my tub. On the phone the manager told me he did not have an employee that could help get the exact parts. So you just have to take a guess on the website. What a joke. A company where employees don't have time for the customer. Alan, you sent me links to only 6 parts. I need a total of over 30 different parts. I could not open my basket on your website because it was off the screen. Most importantly you stated your employees don't have time for customers. I needed a new neck support for my Diamondback spa and could not find one anywhere on the internet. I tried calling several spa suppliers but no luck until I called Spaworks. They asked me to send them pictures of the neck support which I did. They called back the next day, said they could get them and I ordered two. They were delivered via FEDEX the next day. The outdoor spa at my house was already installed when I bought the house. There was no documentation and it was in very serious need of a good cleaning. Not knowing the brand or what filters it used I drove around to a dozen so-called spa stores. None of them carried supplies for any other models than what they sold. After some online research I found a place that sold parts at wholesale prices for virtually every brand and model spa ever made and (was I in luck) their distribution center was located in Phoenix. Since then I have replaced both the heater and the control unit in addition to a new cover (all relatively expensive parts) and I have bought all of my filters and chemicals from Spaworks. I checked their prices against the famous online retailer that sells "everything" and the prices are within pennies of each other. I like to support places in my community, and I like the fact that I see the same employees every time I visit. I don't have to remember my filter number, I just walk in and they pull up my details and always have the part I need in stock. It's also a plus that the staff is friendly and seem to know every possible thing about spas. read more

I found Allen, the owner of Spa Works, to be extremely knowledgeable about spas. His 25 years of experience shows brightly. Allen also is willing to teach you about your spa. He knows how to be cost effective. He knows that if you have an older spa , as in my case, that it is best not to put a lot of money in to it, rather just keep it going as he did for me. Normally, I would just go to Spa Works and pick up the part and put it in myself. However, when I was replacing the heating element I broke the outtake hose. So that's when I met Allen. Instead of replacing the hose, reducers and other stuff he simply put two couplers on the existing hoses. Saving me a ton of money. After looking at "YouTube" videos, I self diagnosed my Jacuzzi motor with a replacement. After learning Spaworks was local, I called them to check inventory, and they told me they had the motor. They also told me to bring my current motor so they could test it. I did just that, and $40 later (instead of $380) I had a great working motor!! These guys rock! This place has the worst customer service!!! They are extremely rude and very unprofessional. We went in with some older model parts asking to match them up and the guy at the front barely even looked at it and told me he never saw a part like this before. I then asked him if he had anything similar and he yelled at me and said I JUST SAID NO! I originally thought the guy was just having a bad day. Then we took it another plumbing supply who actually took the time to help and said it was a Vigo part printed on the side of part and told us to try Spaworks. Out of desperation to find our parts, we then called Spaworks again and Bob the manager answered the phone, he told me over the phone that they actually did have Vigo parts and to bring it on in. My husband then brought it in today and was greeted by the same very rude man at the front counter. My husband then asked to speak with Bob and they refused and yelled at my husband, stating I ALREADY SAID NO, PLEASE LEAVE, YOU ARE WASTING MY TIME. Then my husband asked to see if they had anything similar that he would buy it and the was yelled at again, "YOU ARE WASTING MY TIME!" No one else was in the store at the time. We then asked to speak to the owner and they still refused. Don't buy anything there unless you want to be treated very badly. This was a 30 mile drive for us to get there twice to be treated like crap twice. I truly hope our review can save some poor soul the trip and buy your parts from another place online like SpaDepot.com or something. STAY AWAY FROM SPAWORKS! After This company arrived for service at my house they told me my dog would have to come inside. I was curious as to why and the man said the company had a pet policy. I said okay, and as my daughter went into the backyard to have the dog come inside, the only technician for the company hopped in his vehicle and drove away. After waiting all day for someone to come work on my spa I was denied service because the man "felt threatened". Does not accept responsibility for their mistakes. I ordered part number 103310 for a Coleman Spa Light replacement, but they sent me part number 5-30-0092 instead. Was told the part they shipped was the replacement part as the other is obsolete, but acknowledged that it is slightly bigger and you have to cut a bigger hole in the hot tub fiberglass. I explained to him I was aware of the replacement part, but I ordered the 103310 part from Spa Works because they advertised (and showed a picture of) the old part that I knew would fit properly. Other sites sold the 5-30-0092 for HALF THE PRICE that Spa Works was charging, but I decided to spend the extra money because they advertised they sold the old, properly fitting part, that would not require me sawing into my hot tub shell. When I explained to them the only reason I purchased the part from them at double the cost is because they had the right one that would fit, I was told "sorry, that is the replacement part" and they are aware it does not fit properly. I requested a refund and wanted to send the part back since they sent the WRONG part. I was told, no problem, but they would not refund the ~$12 shipping cost I spent to receive it and they would not pay the shipping costs to return... Despite the fact they sent me the WRONG PART. My order shows I ordered 103310, my invoice shows 103310, the picture on the website is of 103310, but they sent me 5-30-0092 and somehow don't feel they are responsible for anything wrong! Highly recommend getting your spa supplies elsewhere! As a reference, SpaWorks charged me $39.98 for part 103310 (well actually part 5-30-0092 I guess!) plus ~$12 shipping. Another online store in the same city sells the 5-30-0092 part for $21.24 with only ~$9 shipping. Lots of other websites sell the part for similar prices compared to the extremely overpriced SpaWorks that delivers different parts from what you order and then does not accept responsibility for it. read more
