Getting an appointment was definitely first come, first serve. You have to be fast as soon as you get notified of an opening. I started looking for openings at the end of December 2024. I finally was able to book my cat a spay and vaccination appointment mid January for an early February appointment. Listen to the reviews that tell you to arrive early. Everyone checks in at the same time. Someone will start to form a line outside the door before they open, so be prepared to stand outside in the dark with your pet. I arrived a 6:30 and there was already a line. Once they open, they will split you into two lines, one for cats, one for dogs. I luckily was the sixth one in the cat line. With that being said, it still took an hour for me to get my cat checked in and for me to drop her off. My cat was spayed and got three vaccinations for under $120. My cat has healed perfectly and without complications. I am so happy organizations like this exist because paying $300-$400 for a spay sounds insane. Pricing is very reasonable here. Yes, it gets extremely busy and wait times may be crazy, but I'm not complaining with all the money I was able to save by going here. read more

I posted mine early this morning and had to repost it again.***** This is the first and last time I will be coming here. When I made my appointment, I was never informed that I needed a kennel or required to complete additional paperwork. I understand that these procedures are necessary, but it would have been helpful to know before I paid and drove all the way here. It's 23 degrees outside with wind, and a staff member told me to wait outside while she figured out the kennel situation. However, she never returned. I eventually went inside to ask again about the kennel, but the person I spoke to was unsure of what to do or say. The staff member who initially told me to wait outside then switched her statement, saying, "You must have a kennel. If not, we can't take you in." Why didn't she inform me of this when I was waiting outside in the cold for so long? I know I won't get a refund since they told me l couldn't reschedule my appointment. They then changed the story, stating that if I wanted to reschedule, I would need to wait for everyone else to check in before me. If they are willing to make you wait outside in the cold without proper guidance, and then respond to your polite inquiries as if you should already know the answers, then this is the place for you! read more

We recently took in a stray male kitty cat unexpectedly, and brought him here for neutering, vaccinations, and microchipping. The surgery day was well-organized, the staff were very kind and efficient, and I was very impressed with the entire experience. I was so thankful to have a reasonably priced option for these services. Kitty's surgery went great, I received a text when he was all done letting me know it went well, and I was able to collect him earlier than expected. Very happy with services received. My father-in-law, who lives in Fort Worth, has a stray cat hanging around. As we mentioned the bond that has formed between an elderly Vietnamese man and a stray cat to our friends, many asked if we had it spayed or neutered. Well I can tell you it would be a hard sell to get Bô to pay for a cat that adopted him (his perspective). When I mentioned this aspect to friends, many informed us that there are often free spay and neuter services in the various cities of the Metroplex. After a little Internet sleuthing, we found one such service being performed by SNN. While it was free, it was not particularly convenient for me as I had to drive from Keller to Fort Worth, to pick up the cat and take it to the pick up spot. Secondly, I had to come back later in the day to pick up the cat. I was under the false impression it was done on site. Considering the drop-off/pick-up location was the Fiesta Mart on 8th Ave, just north of Berry Street, I can see why it's not done on site. It does make much more sense that it's done in a controlled, and sterile, environment. Edit: Looking at other pictures, maybe they do have a mobile surgery. From what I understand, the cats were transported to Crandall for the procedure. Afterwards, around 6 hours later, they were returned to the pick up location. All I can really say is that the pick up and drop off went well. Transport and driver were on time both times. Kitty is doing fine. I got my 9 month old Boston Terrier neutered last Friday through them. It took me a while to decide where I wanted to take him. I did call before hand to make sure they took Boston's since I saw they didn't to French bull dogs. But they were happy to take my Boston! Check in was a tad slower and you have to wait outside until it's your turn to check in but that's understandable with people being multiple animals so just be prepared to stand or get there early! The tech that took him back was super sweet and let him love on her! They called me earlier than the estimated time to get him which was awesome. I've taken at least five friendly neighborhood cats (that hang out in my backyard). The people picking up the animals are great and answer any question you may have, both dropping off and picking up. All of the cats have recovered nicely and are living good lives. Good pricing and they're very upfront about the costs. If you're planning on getting special rates, be sure they apply to your area of D/FW (different specials for different areas). You can print out the paperwork and fill it out before you drop off your animals - it makes things go much more smoothly. Only complaint I've had is that I've called the number on their website and no one answers (wanted to ask about age of kittens). Besides that, so pleased with them. They seem to really care about the animals. read more

I would 100% NEVER recommend this place to anyone. I have had several dogs spayed and neutered from over the years and I have never been to a place more unprofessional than this one. We dropped off one of our dogs at The Colony. We filled out the forms and everything. We also provided them with a copy of our dog's rabies vaccination. Our dog is still a puppy so we definitely have a rabies vaccination that is still valid. Well fast forward to us picking up our dog. They gave him a rabies vaccine. We did NOT approve of this and are angry at the fact they gave him one in the first place. His rabies vaccine wasn't due til 3/25/2021. Instead they told us they never received his rabies record and they had to give him the vaccine. This is completely unprofessional and negligent. There are plenty of programs to donate to and work with in the DFW area. I would avoid this place. read more

I adopted two female kittens and had them spayed at SNN. I used the mobile service that picked up my kittens and delivered them to the Krandall clinic. They both did really well with the surgery. I also got all of their first round shots and microchips at a fraction of the cost of going to my regular vet. The mobile service returned my kittens on time. I took my 2 Terrier Mix dogs there this past Friday to get spayed. Yesterday, Sunday after surgery, one of my dogs was throwing up all day. I called this morning because I was told someone would be there between 10 and 2 today, Monday. I did speak to someone who said they had no doctor to check her until Thursday; that I would have to take her to an emergency hospital. Who does that? Who gives surgery without anyone to follow up in case of emergency? I am very disappointed and upset with Crandall Spay Neuter. Tried to save money by having my dog neutered here. I did everything they said told me to do and 2 days later he had a major infection from his surgery. Brought him back to have checked out and they charged me another $262 and said him sitting in the grass will cause the infection. Thats ridiculous and will never go back here again. I was gifted my FurrBaby after losing my two Cockers and while reading about day camps so he wouldn't be bored I saw that my pup needed to be neutered. After more reading, I chose the Spay Neuter Network and opted to take advantage of the Doggie Van Shuttle. I was able to schedule for the next day pick up and was a bit nervous, as I've just had my pup for barely a week, but after talking w/ the driver who answered all my questions, I felt more at ease. Per the site, they were going to PGrove area but after the pick up, I saw where they'd gone to the Crandall location and that was ok. I like that they require a small deposit and all the fees are shown on the site so there are no unexpected costs. Overall and in comparison to going to a private vets office, the cost was very reasonable and low cost as advertised. Note: the places I'd called before wanted $4-500+ for this service. The neuter procedure was done very well and is healing nicely; they will call if there are any questions or concerned. I opted to have him chipped also. The van returned at the appointed time and the driver explained after-care in detail. Recovery has been great and my lil man is doing fabulous. I wrote a review a few weeks ago after I took my female cat to get spayed. After the surgery she started to behave different like if she was scared. Two days ago she attacked me out of nowhere while I was in bed and she was laying down next to me, leaving me with bad injuries all over my face and arm, I had to call 911 . Because of the incident the shelter took her and sadly my beloved cat was put to sleep. To some people it might just be an animal but to me she was part of my family, I miss her so much and it hurts me that she's not here anymore. She never behaved like that all this time she was with me. I found her when she was a month old. My other cat was neuter at another location and he never changed his behavior but her even the day I when to pick her up I thought she was not gonna make it because of the way she looked. The staff at Crandall was very nice and efficient. I arrived about 6:50am for 7:00am drop off and was in and out. Have your paperwork done and they will get you checked-in and your fur baby taken back promptly. I was worried about putting him on a truck for transport, but we had real time updates on how he was doing, and when I picked him up, he was happy to see me but not frantic or traumatized. I had a great experience with them overall. I am in North Dallas and chose the Buckner clinic location. I called to set an appointment over the phone, which required a $20 deposit for a next-week appointment. I thought it had great availability for such a low cost clinic. You are getting services in groups with other patients all using the vet's time that day, so I have no doubt check-in can get hectic. However, I arrived at 7:35 ready to fill out the paperwork (it was only two pages) and they took her back by 8am. The cost was exactly as they quoted me- $62 overall for a feline spay and microchip. Bring proof of rabies vaccine, a carrier for your animal, and read all the instructions they email you before your visit. Many of these bad reviews are from people who did not come in following the instructions. I'll definitely use this service again if I have another animal that needs it. read more

Called in yesterday morning and was told to be there at 1. Made it on time and signed in. Afterwards I was told that they should be able to see my puppy so when I questioned "should" I was re assured that since I made it early enough there shouldnt be a problem. at 2:45 they weighed my puppy and said since it was just her first shots it wouldnt be much longer. At 3:20 the nervous employees came to the lobby and let them know the Vet had left and they couldnt see any more pets. I felt awful for the staff because they had to break the news to a room full of upset people who had been led to believe they would be seen. Any Vets in the market for great employees heres your staff. They are wonderful. What is wrong is the leadership. The whole time they were clearly relaying messages from the Vet about timing. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE. 1. There customer service is AWFUL. They never answer the phone. They don't send you information regarding your appointment. I had to call and act like I was making another appointment just to get ahold of someone so they could send me information. The lady at the front counter was unbelievable rude and treated/spoke to everyone like trash. 2. The surgery itself was done by quacks for vets. My dog had his surgery 2 days ago and his incision is already infected and swollen. He's been peeing blood and now I have to take him to the emergency vet to get him checked out and on antibiotics. On top of everything they never gave him pain medication or even offered to give him any. If your trying to save money on a neuter do yourself and your pet a favor and NEVER consider this place for any type of medical treatment for your animal. DO NOT GO HERE EVER! I seriously felt like my dog was kidnapped with no updates. We were told to pick up our dog at 3 by the confirmation email that was sent to me when I submitted my $20 deposit. I have tried to call them 100 millions times and don't get through to anyone. It's stressful when your fur baby is in someone else's care and you don't know what's going on. Secondly, we showed the lady that was driving the van our rabies paperwork and I filled out the rest of the paperwork needed. Once my pup got to the facility they texted me I need the rabies paperwork within the next 10 minutes or we will be giving her the rabies shot. WE DIDN'T NEED NOR ASK FOR THE RABIES AND I PROVIDED THEM WITH ALL DOCUMENTATION NEEDED. Not sure what the miscommunication is here?! They ended up giving her the rabies shot WITHOUT MY CONSENT. This is totally unprofessional and disgusting. I'm now sitting in the parking lot (it's 5:00PM) and no one is answering the phone because the customer service line is closed at 5:00PM & I'm worried sick. No one can provide me with an ETA. I texted the number that asked me about the rabies paperwork and no one is texting me back & it's a number you cannot call. I'm highly upset with this experience and I DO NOT RECOMMEND. Please don't take your pet here. We took out 8 month old kitten to get spayed and once they "poked her in her crate to give her a sedative" she never woke up. She went in to cardiac arrest and after $2000 at the emergency vet to trying to save her... she died. Moira was brain dead within minutes of them ever touching her. Tests at the ER vet proved she was perfectly healthy prior to this. We are devastated and Spay Neuter Network is less than compassionate and there has been no accountability whatsoever at this point.
