Don't do it! Phone line sucks. WiFi quality sucks. You're better off paying more for better quality.

Service is great. However some equipment is very old. Had satellite before, heading back to satellite. Internet is awesome though.

It was fine when the snow was on the ground but I've been having to move it around each time I mow my lawn now. I've called them repeatedly to have them bury the line and they've given me three dates now that came and went, and aside from the initial visit, where they texted me saying they couldn't bury the line because of snow, the other two dates came and went without giving me a reason. I've been calling them every month now having them give me full credit for each month the job remains unfinished.

Then out of the blue, zero services - no Internet (we have jobs and kids who need access for school) and since TV came over the line, none of that either. Every morning, noon and evening I'd get a text saying restoration of service by X (i.e. 4pm the same day). After a day or two that showed itself to be a straight lie. No human to talk to on the phone, either. This baiting fraud went on for two weeks until we switched back to Spectrum. They owed me $7.01 per their recurring bill and kept it for months and months instead of just sending me a check. Eventually they sent a prepaid MasterCard I never requested containing my $7.01 which, if I activated, screwed me over with annual fees, etc. I finally got in touch with someone in the Philippines who said they'd send me a check; haven't gotten it yet - been about a week. Frontier is about the worst company with which i've had the displeasure of doing business. Shady and unfair business practices at every turn, in my view. Stay always unless you're a masochistic glutton for punishment. Consider yourself warned.

Visitation Rights: Been here a handful of times over the years. Either to return/pickup equipment…read more(Router/Modem/Cable box), or to pay a bill. Wait Time: Wait time can be long. The last time I went to the shop, I waited about 2 hours. I would suggest to make a appointment for the day you're planning to visit the shop. Background On Visit: Came to the shop to return my old modem instead of returning through UPS. The reason for that was because I wanted to know for sure that I returned it. Ambiance/Decor: Ambiance is nice with limited amount of seats Service: Service was snail place when I last went to the shop last week. They were understaffed where there would be 2 - 3 reps working at one time when there is a total of 5 workstations. Recommendations: It would be nice if they had a express line for pickup and drop off of equipment. Something simple like that shouldn't take two hours to return.

Based on customer feedback and local reviews covering both the retail store (834 E Valley Blvd) and…read moreresidential service in the Alhambra area, Spectrum's key areas for improvement fall into four primary categories: 1. In-Store Queue Management & Equipment Returns * Streamline Quick Drop-offs: Customers frequently report long wait times at the local store just to return modems or TV boxes. Implementing a dedicated, self-service drop-off kiosk or express return line would prevent routine returns from backing up behind lengthy sales consultations. * Reduce Kiosk Bottlenecks: Mandating detailed account sign-ins on store tablets before acknowledging waiting customers creates unnecessary friction, especially when staff availability is visible. 2. Network Consistency & Weekend Reliability * Peak-Hour Stability: Local residents report recurring speed throttles, intermittent packet loss, and service dropouts during evenings and weekends. * Symmetrical Speeds: With more users working from home in the San Gabriel Valley, standard cable upload speeds (typically 10-20 Mbps) struggle to keep up with increasing demand compared to emerging local fiber options. 3. Billing Transparency & Promo Expirations * Predictable Long-Term Pricing: Customers frequently cite steep price hikes once 12-to-24-month promotional rates expire. Spectrum could improve trust by clearly communicating scheduled rate step-ups in advance rather than surprising subscribers with sudden increases. * Less Friction on Retention/Disconnections: Ending service or adjusting packages often requires navigating high-pressure retention scripts and upsells rather than straightforward, respectful account adjustments. 4. Localized Support & Communication * Multilingual Staffing: Given Alhambra's demographic diversity, expanding bilingual customer service options (especially Mandarin, Cantonese, and Spanish) across in-store staff and phone lines ensures clearer communication regarding contracts and troubleshooting. * Proactive Outage Alerts: More accurate, automated text updates during neighborhood maintenance or localized outages to prevent unnecessary technician appointments and store visits.
