I've been coming here for a few months now, and normally they do a great job. I went Monday, 29th to get a manicure and a polish change. Anna my nail tech cut my cuticles on my foot, resulting in bleeding. And was very rude While doing my polish change. She kept saying I was messing them up every time I took my hand in an out of the gel warmer. Day 1: my nails were beginning to peel. Day 2: it started to peel completely. The place is nice and the people are too... but the quality is not. I got a manicure with dip polish and within 48 hours it was chipping. Not even just one, but 3. A week later all nails were lifting, and I was able to pop them off whole. Definitely won't be going back. read more

I live in the apartment complex behind this shopping center and never went in because truthfully, the reviews kept me away. On a whim, I decided to get my nails done this morning and really didn't feel like driving 30 mins to my usual place. I went here and my first impression was that this nail salon was really nice. Very big, a lot of pedicure seats as well as a lot of manicure seats. I walked in at 10:30am. I left at 12:15pm. Horrible service. It is so slow and there are only 4 seats to sit in for you to wait.. good luck trying to get one. I finally sit down to get a gel manicure and the man, Ben, rushed the whole time. He wasn't even looking at my nails half the time and even switched the color on me when I told him I already picked mine out. He insisted that what I had wasn't gel (even though the bottle he grabbed looked just the same as mine) and proceeded to paint my nails with a similar "much better color" as he so nicely put it. This place is in serious need of customer service. Will not be returning. Lesson learned, I guess driving the 30 mins is worth it‍. read more

First, we called ahead to make an appointment for pedicures. Rather than telling us a time when we could come to the spa without a wait, we were told to come right in. When we came to the spa, there was a 30+ minute wait for pedicures. Most importantly, the male technician/manager of this spa must not realize that we are in the middle of a pandemic. Although the sign on the door clearly states that visitors should wear masks, frequenters of this business will either wear a mask that doesn't cover their nose/mouth or will take it off mid-visit without any reprimand. Whoever owns this spa should consider giving the women here a managerial role as they are kind and seem to do more work to keep this place running than the one man at the front of the store. read more

RACIST ESTABLISHMENT. DO NOT GO HERE. People, I have never left a review on Google or Yelp in my entire life but today is the day. I went to this salon and had the worst experience of my life. What was supposed to be a day of relaxation and self care turned out to be a headache. When I first got here,the nail tech (Sony) used a drill to remove regular polish assuming that it was gel. No big deal, I like things to move quickly. She got visibly upset about her own error and kept telling me that I told her the polish was gel when I in fact did not. She started talking to the nail tech beside her and they started giving me dirty looks. To ease the situation I told her, "Hey girl it's no big deal it's fine." She then puts the polish on one toe and asks if I like the color. Before i could answer she says YES OR NO. I said calmly, please just a second Im not sure...she walks off. The other tech continues to give me dirty looks. She then comes back and says WHAT COLOR DO YOU WANT THEN...I say, can I see the color options again please? Again, trying not to be a difficult customer (yet) despite her being rude. She brings the nails with all the color options over and pushes it into hands aggressively..then says I DONT HAVE ALL DAY I HAVE OTHER CUSTOMERS SO PICK A COLOR. I say you know what, don't worry about it. I talk to the manager who listens , nods , then goes sits down and continues to work on someone else. The front desk goes, that will be $30. I say for what, I didn't get anything done? The manager (female) then says she took off your polish and cleaned your cuticles. Now you all know full well that the full price of a pedicure includes all of the services including nail Polish, foot scrubbing, etc etc. Not only did I not get the full service, the service was horrible and incomplete so to think I was going to pay full price was ridiculous. The manager also failed to apologize for the type of service that I received. She really just did not care and was just as rude as the nail tech. As I stand there waiting on the issue to be resolved ( I told them if they were going to charge the full price, someone would need to finish and at least paint my nails). Then the male manager, who I believe name is Ben) walked up to me and asked me if I wanted my nails finished. I said yes. He led me to a chair and then abruptly changed his mind and walked me to the door and put me out very rudely. It was completely unexpected, disrespectful and just blatantly very racist how they handled this situation. Lets be honest, most of these shops are very racists anyway but they are BLANTANT (this was my second time here ..the first time they tried to send me home with ashy feet but I decided to give them another chance, so they clearly do a poor job anyway). Even if they would have just offered a discount that would have been fair, but to expect me to pay for a service that was not complete... just does not make sense. They were giving me disgusting looks and did not want to hear what I had to say. The nail tech was completely unbothered by the situation and you can tell that she does this often and is not reprimanded at all for her behavior towards customers. If I were you I would not even bring my pet dog into this establishment, they are horrible people and they won't be in business long (karma). I will continue to report them on every website so that people know not to go in here. And folks, the similar reviews here just prove what goes on here. I have no reason to lie. Well, my first visit was deserved 5 stars. I came in an was waited on quickly for a mani and pedi. My second visit last week was for a mani only and I waited over an hour. My daughter was being waited on and apparently, since I was not getting a pedicure, I had to wait for someone to be available to do a manicure only. The salon is very nice and spacious with all new and up-to-date equipment. Needless to say, I left when my daughter was finished without getting a manicure. That said, if you need a fill in, you should be good. If you need a mani and pedi, you should be good. If you only want a manicure, be prepared to wait unless it is before 5 pm. I really like the salon that is spacious and has room for a lot of treatments to be done at one time. All this depends on the number of staff members working. The staff all wear jackets that are black and include the salon emblem. The staff are friendly and efficient. They are somewhat like a corporate environment. Prices are comparable to other salons in the area. Oh, they serve boxed wine (red and white). This is nice perk. read more

After 5-years of living in Charlotte, I can say that I've finally found my nail salon! I love Spectrum, they have exceeded my expectations with every visit. I'm immediately greeted and asked if I want a drink, even during their rush. I've gone at least 5 times for a fill-in, pedicures, and most recently, SNS! I recommend you ask for "Kay" if you're getting SNS! Kay is awesome and honestly the SNS master! She NEVER disappoints. read more

Let me just say, there is a R E A S O N why this business' store has the score that it has. Me and my mother came him here for to get a fill-in and pedicure & manicure and pedicure, respectively. To cut straight to the chase, the website says that you're offered a complimentary beverage and we were not. No one offered us water, wine, OR whiskey. When I was seated Anna came over and to make a long story short after telling her what pedicure I wanted and declined to get gel, all of sudden I felt like a step-child. When I say that was one of the most dissatisfying pedicures I'd ever received. I've had too many pedicures and nail services in my day not to know that my feet are capable of looking brand new lol! All jokes aside, she rushed my entire pedicure process to the point where I went back 2 days later (after having to speak to the manager and choosing the next best day) and she had to do them over. Pause right there. Now, when I spoke with the manager, BEN on the phone (moments after paying and analyzing my feet), I requested quite sternly for her not to be the one to "fix"what she had done. Let's just say I was deliberately disobeyed and threatened to pay for services if someone else had to do it. Rewind. For my fill-in, she neglected to tell me that my nails were considered "long" and that it would be $5 more prior to my nail service. Keep in mind, the prices are not POSTED. I found it funny that we have to do research, ask, guess, or find out upon checkout what prices we're paying for services that we receive, but they make S U R E they ask you if you want "gel". Idk what kind of "gel" I paid for that "lasts longer", but there is no way. All of 4 days went by and my nail (on one hand has cracked and broken) and my nail polish (on the other hand) has chipped. The purpose in me getting "gel" on my hands and not my feet is because I wash my hands a lot. Furthermore, I'd like for polish to stay on for at least a week STRAIGHT. But gel!? The same stuff they charge you to take off -- that's absurd. I was satisfied with my pedicure after leaving 2 days later until my nails and nail polish started chipping within the next 2 days. I'm honestly disgusted with the service that I received, the lack of respect given to this of us who may not want gel polish and have no probably waiting to dry. I don't appreciate the pressure because I'm not getting what YOU want me to get if I don't want it as well. It's beyond me and quite frankly rudely disrespectful. I could never return to this place or recommend it to anyone. I'm way too disappointed, especially in the fact that Anna denied that her initial work was essentially sucky and needed to be fixed and the manager Ben not providing the stipulations in my getting such a sucky job corrected. The products are obviously cheap and I'm not going to spend my hard-earned money on the pathetic gestures that they call customer service. I was first-timer at that location and it automatically turned into me being a "last-timer. THAT is why, (as a great tipper) as much as it bothered me, I could NOT tip her NEITHER time. Believe the reviews, the quality of service this place produces is very poor. I would have given 1 star but it was clean and tidy and staff were friendly who serviced us. I had to ask the gentleman to redo certain parts of my pedicure because he totally neglected half of my foot. I got a full acrylic set 2 weeks ago, and 5 fingers need repairing because they aren't even attached to my nail bed. Unsure if it's the products used or the mechanics of the techs. Either way I've never had a full set needing to be soaked off and redone in less than 3 weeks. Sheesh read more

Horrible! I had a not so good gel manicure and asked for a toe polish change after. The nail tech asked me to lift my foot under the nail bar onto her chair, so she could paint my toes. Craziness! I asked the gym how much would he charge me for one gel nail repair he says 10$ i then ask how much for a full new set of gel nails and he says 60$, i then looked the book of prices and it said 35$ for gel manicure. Consistently disappointed at Spectrum Nail Spa. I've been here 3+ times and continue to go because of the convenient location close to my office. There are a few positive aspects to this place, however, the negatives outweigh the positives. Positives: -Convenient location -Large selection of polish, gel, and SNS colors -Pretty interior Negatives -Almost always a wait. The place is huge, but they are NEVER staffed for it. - Rushed service, presumably because there's always a wait. - Expensive. $40 for an SNS color change?! This didn't include any cuticle trimming, hand massage, etc. Literally just filing and color. The full SNS manicure is $55. -No televisions -Unprofessional Not only are they rude to customers, they are rude to each other as employees. The manager, Ben, was incredibly rude and demeaning to their new receptionist who was a teenage girl. I watched him tell her to "learn faster" and make other comments in front of many customers. He also told one customer to go get her eyebrows waxed before he was done with her manicure. She followed his instructions, and when she came back, someone else was in her chair where her belongings still were. My nail tech graciously finished up her manicure (in the middle of my manicure) while she was STANDING UP, and she had to ask for lotion. Lastly, lets not forget the nail tech who was wearing a shirt that said WTF (Where's the Fireball?) in huge letters. Seriously? All for wearing t-shirts to work, but this is supposed to be a nice salon. Every time I go to Spectrum Nail Spa, I can't wait to leave. I should have looked at the reviews before I came to this Salon. I waited in the lobby for more than 20 min with them only having 4 customers. They didn't acknowledge that i was sitting there even though 3 different tech came to the front. Then I asked for the Happy Feet and didn't get all the service that was included. The tech lied about the work she did. This was my first and last time i spoke to manager Amanda ( maybe owner) and explained that I didn't get the services that I paid for and she insulted me by saying I will put hot towels on your legs. She didn't wasn't listen when I said the sugar scrub was not done, the callus remover wasn't done properly and other premium service that I paid for wasn't done. So with this type response from manager ( or owner) explains why they have a low star rating. Save your money and time. read more

Accepts appointments, but no point in making one. I had an appointment with my favorite nail tech and she started a pedi just before my appointment. I asked the receptionist about this and she was very understanding and recognized this is an ongoing issue this this salon. She said the owners have advised her that walk-ins have priority over those with appointments... so beware! This is very unfortunate during the pandemic as they make you wait in your car or outside right now, due to COVID. So frustrating! read more

People were walking in walking straight to the pedicure chairs and being serviced ahead of me. They only had two people doing hands and about 10 doing feet. I've been a customer with Spectrum Nail since September of 2021. Service has always been great to me up until the end part of May 2023 when I went in for my nails to get a fill in and I noticed that one of my fingers was "trying " to get a fungus ! I asked the nail tech Johnny (that ALWAYS does my nails ) was it ok for him to work on that particular finger and he stated "yes , because he caught it " remind y'all I never did see him apply anything for stop fungus on my nail bed , he just put the nail glue on & proceeded with drilling my nails. I asked did he fix it & he stated yes! Now 2 weeks later it's time for a fill in and what do I notice! I notice that I have not one fingernail with a fungus but 2 fingers with a fungus! (Can you say PISSED THE HELL OFF) I go to the owner on today (06/11/23) showing him my 2 nails that I discovered with the fungus and all he say is that from water under the nails...umm no sir because my nails aren't lifting ! The owner took my acrylic nails off & then it's a total of 4 finger nails with a FUNGUS and wanted to charge me for him taking off my acrylic nails! NOT!!!! NOPE I caught a fungus from your salon and nail tech not properly cleaning his drills and whatever else . The owner say don't come back, that's the plan because ALL my years even as a teen getting my nails done I've NEVER HAD a FUNGUS. The man that I had was rushing to get my nails done so he could leave and did not take the time to really make them look nice. My nails are not even, he said I didn't need a cuticle cut but you'll see in the images that I needed them cut, and he filed one of my nails crooked And I have photos to show how careless this work was. I gave this a two star because I have had good experience beforehand but this experience has me tempted to find a new place. Amanda hooked up my nails and they are probably THE best SNS dip powder nails ever! They were shaped nicely and the service was fast. Honestly she was great at making sure I left with the prettier nails that I started with. I loved that she helped me select a color I could wear for weeks and she made sure that they were edge to edge. I hate when polish or gels don't go edge to edge. Also, what I loved that she did was not put a gel top coat like other salons do as a quick cheat around completing the nails they way they should be! I have been going to his nail spa for over 2 years now. I have been pleased every single time I have been. Every nail technician is fantastic especially the one I had Monday. I think her name was Kathy. She told me I was about to get a fungus on one nail so she took all of them off, put a brand new set on and gave me a French manicure all for only $70. When I came in I was rushed to the back by a tech and it was weird then she ran the water I had my feet in the water for 5 seconds and she was asking if I wanted a cut down. I said yes. She cut 4 toes then someone comes over and she's like it was Someone else's turn. Which they have order I understand but I guess that's why she was rushing. Never in my life have I felt like a huge inconvenience like I have when I visited this place. I hate that I even have to give this review because on my long and strenuous hunt for a jelly pedicure in Charlotte I finally landed here and wanted to stay but more than likely won't be a regular here. I called in advance to see how they were operating because of Covid and they said they were still taking walk ins and they closed at 6. I arrived at 4:40 on the dot walked in and was asked to be seated as I waited. The wait was extremely quick which is good. I only wanted a soak off and jelly pedicure with a buff only no polish...which is a pretty simple service or at least standard. Idk if they felt as if they didn't have time or not but literally everything was rushed and I was given very sub par service. I could tell because once the lights started getting cut off at 5:30 the tech doing my pedicure started basically throwing my foot back into the water, never even took the paraffin wax completely off my foot had to tell her to wipe before putting my sandals back on, I think there was clay but as fast as she was going who knows. 6 o clock finally came and I was left with this until told you move to another chair for the tech to drill the acrylic instead of soak which was already tried first and then I was just so exhaustedof the poor treatments that I just offered to pay and left. the jelly pedicure itself was EXACTLY what I was looking for which is what sucks because the service is just awful so my hunt continues read more

I arrived around 9:20am on a Saturday and was seated immediately. The host and nail techs were very polite. I was immediately offered a complimentary beverage while I selected which pedicure I wanted. The chairs are comfy and it's a rather large space with plenty of staff. I only have one recommendation, if you're looking to have more than a foot soak with polish, do not just get the classic pedicure. This is the only place I've ever been where the classic pedi doesn't include use of a foot scraper. read more
