Went from direct tv to spectrum. The worst service I have EVER had. On demand is the absolute worst. Anytime I'm watching a tv show on demand, it will show every episode, but when I start watching them, episodes start disappearing and now I can't finish my shows. I hate everything about this. I will never ever use Time Warner Cable again. NEVER. We have had them for over a year now. NOT BY CHOICE. Our apartments only accept them at the time. Our internet connection is beyond terrible! Every time you go to refresh a page you have to reconnect to the internet. Within the last 2 months our service has been at a all time low. Ironically before those 2 months they decided to raise our bill from 77.00 a month to 95.00 a month with out telling us that they were going to do this. No warning or anything. We only pay for internet and no additional add ons. My biggest question is why am I paying for a service that does not work. Why in the ____ would I pay even more??? It's not like they are providing us with anything better. They do not deserve the raise they have given themselves. I've been on the phone with them 4 times with in the last week. If you ask me that is way to much. After getting off the phone with them the 3rd time this week they told me to disconnect my modem and reconnect. My internet is even worse than it's ever been. Called them the 4th time and now my internet is not working at all! And now I have to wait til tomorrow for them to send out a technician to come and fix this. I can't help but feel like I'm being punished for letting them know their service sucks. This location is easy to get to. The facility is clean and organized. Almost always fully staffed and they all seem to be competent. I usually speak with customer service on the phone first and they tell me to go to the store to pick up my equipment. This last time was two cable adapters. I was in and out in 5 minutes. I went in at about 4:30pm and it wasn't busy at all. From customer service on the phone, to the actual stores, I haven't had a bad experience. I haven't experienced abnormally long wait times and I don't have any horror stories. I have been a TWC subscriber for 4 years. read more

We dropped off our cable box saying we didn't want tv service anymore but still wanted internet. We get home after paying our bill and our internet was still off. We called and were told we shouldn't of turned it in because it needed to be connected to the tv in order for us to disconnect the service. The guy up there didn't mention any of this to us and we ended up without any service for two extra days. Do not use- a total waste of time and energy.. They offer 30 day free try, but it's almost impossible to have them cancel,"within the allotted time" and stop billing you.. My service was never even installed, all equipment returned per they're instructions, with paperwork to back it up, yet still, just today received another bill. After wasting 30 minutes, AGAIN, on the phone with CS they state I have been cancelled but they DO NOT offer a $zero bill" SO, if I want a bill accordingly, "please visit" one of the Spectrum Stores and ask the store to print it out.. The absolute worst customer service experience I've ever had. Before moving into a new apartment, I scheduled ahead of time for a tech to install internet because I need it for work. With my prior planning, I would be only out for 1 day - acceptable. Upon moving in I learn a TV package is bundled with the apartment and that I should call and have them install it. Thinking I can kill 2 birds with one stone, I call and see if it is possible to alter my tech visit and have them install tv along with internet, if not, no big deal, I'll wait for TV as I need internet for my job, and rarely watch TV. During the call, the agent, Patricia, due to what I perceived as a lack of knowledge of the system rescheduled the install at a later date to include both tv and internet. Obviously this is counter to what I wanted which I had clearly stated and she acknowledged she understood. To fix things, she cancels the appointment, but then has to reschedule the entire visit for an even later date. Now I'm stuck days without internet and unable to work unless I go live in a motel. The amount of disgust I feel for all of this has soured a good move-in experience to an awful one. When your customer calls customer service and walks away in even worse condition and out more money through no fault of their own, then you have completely failed your customer and should be ashamed of yourselves. I've had time warner cable for over 15 years. I've never had a problem with handling issues on my account until now, the account is in my husband's name btw. Customer service refused to help me because I was not my husband (who is out of town currently), understood even though, as I previously stated, I've always handle everything myself. I then asked to be transferred to a different department for a separate issue and was told that she would not transfer me because they would not help me. I asked again to be transferred because I needed to ask a question about something and was told again she would not transfer me. Also, I have never been able to set up an online account to pay my bills because of a system error and customer service has never been able to fix this issue. read more

This company and their customer service are the worst. I pay my elderly mothers bills and I accidently paid $50.28 to charter. I saw the payment online and called them today to ask them to reverse the charges since my mom had cancelled them 2yrs ago for bad service. The girl told me they would not return my moms money and I would have to dispute it thru her bank...what kind of a soulless person/company steals an elderly persons money? Spectrum internet is bad. Every football night or basketball playoffs are on, the internet is down. If it it happened once or twice then I am ok with it but I have noticed that was not the case. I missed Time Warner service. read more

Spectrum can't seem to get even the most basic things right. I was given the wrong box (wanted the standard, free one). I did not know that an upgraded box was being installed, and the technician did not set it up correctly. So, no reliable internet, and a second visit. THEN I get my first bill, with all sorts of previously undisclosed charges, and discovered upon calling (after more than 30 minutes of talking in circles and being placed on hold again and again), that someone had screwed up my install order, given me the wrong box, and now I would have a third technician in my house, whom I had to convince to waive his installation fee. I HAD TO CONVINCE HIM TO WAIVE A FEE FOR A SERVICE NEEDED TO FIX THEIR MISTAKE?????!! read more

This isn't for a certain location, but for spectrum in general. Much worse customer service than TWC had. Some of the people are nice enough, it's just that Spectrum has taken away their ability to actually help solve any issues. Not too mention, I've been a customer for over 10 years and was told that any promotions are for new customers only and that there isn't anything they can do about my ever rising bill. I pay more now than I have ever paid before! And I've DROPPED channels and internet speed to try to keep my bill down! They give you the run around by telling you to cal back next month to see if there are any promotions then... which there won't be.. ever. Switched to spectrum from at&t, bad decision. First thing is you need more equipment just for internet than you do with the 1 box with at&t. Second thing is my internet never worked, one of the spectrum workers I was on the phone with told me there wasn't even a signal from my apartment yet after I switched back to at&t, I still got billed- FOR A SERVICE I NEVER HAD. I contacted the help desk online and told them these facts, my conversation with them lead me to believe it was resolved. Imagine my surprise when I get an email saying I owe them $170. Literally they never provided any service to me and yet somehow I still owe them. Their technology can show them that an internet signal never existed in my apartment via their services and yet they still want money. Never in a million years will I EVER use spectrum for ANYTHING. My retired parents are living on a fixed income. A salesperson from Spectrum visited my parent's home on Wednesday of last week. The salesman stated he needed a phone number to give a free quote. Dad received the quote and it was not as cost-effective as Frontier Communications. Dad thanked him for his time and closed the door. The next day my parents did not have a phone or internet service. My dad proceeds to call Frontier Communications and is told by a company rep that Spectrum is going to be his provider. My dad told the Frontier rep that he did not authorize this change. He hung up the phone and called Spectrum and was told by a customer service rep that he did not have an account with Spectrum. Today Spectrum told my dad that a cancel order was in place and Frontier should be able to reconnect his service. It amazes me that a con sales artist will do to take monies from a retired couple. No paperwork signed but Spectrum allowed this to happen. It is hard to believe that a company would take advantage of a retired veteran living on a fixed income. I will tell all of my family and friends to stay away from a company that takes advantage of veteran senior citizens. read more

Spectrum is far superior over frontier. They follow through with what they say they will do. They have great communication. In fact they almost call too much for updates. The other night our cable went out at 3:30 pm we called they said it will be up in 2 hours went to bed at 10:30pm still no cable.. Missed my hockey game I waited all day to watch no-go I demand a refund or credit. I pay over $200 a month I want a credit !!! Here's a. Good idea instead of putting channel 4 is not tunable how about putting updates so people are not sitting wasting our time!!! Service was quick and to the point, I was able to get what I needed and get out. I just had to tell them I needed internet at my apartment and they give you the boxes you need. The employee assisting me was kind and helpful. I've also used their customer service to help me set up the boxes and they were also very helpful. read more

Time Warner Spectrum is the worst cable company offering so called service in Plano Tx. This is the 3rd. Day in a row the internet is down again. If you like talking to a automated recording just call for tech. support. Set aside 30 minutes before talking to a human. Then they reset the modem & it works for 12-14 hours. High prices, spotty service & horrible tech. support is what you can expect with these folks. Also dial your watch back 15 years to deal with their out dated crappy DVR. A nightmare. I have had service for nearly three months now, and wireless still does not work right. Phone is fine, TV is okay. Wireless is a loser. First, they advertised 100 mB service.Actually, this is only download speed. Upload speed is 10 to 20 percent of this (my Frontier service ran 80 mB plus both ways. However, the real problem is keeping devices connected, Every time I want to use my computer wireless network to access one computer from another, I have ro reset Home Networking on my computers. Every time I want to print wirelessLY from one if my computers, I have to disconnect and reconnect the printer to the network. Likewise when I want to access Netflix from any of three video disc players. I can no longer print wirelessly from any of our iPhones or my tablet . All of this worked perfectly under Verizon/Frontier. To their credit, Spectrum has sent techs out three times to fix these issues. Unfortunstely, twice the tech they sent admitted he knew nothing about MS Homegroup or wireless printing (even though, in theory, tech support knew clearly these were the issues before the tech was sent), A tech is coming out again tomorrow. I hate to be negative, but I again expect failure After tomorrow, I will likely be going through the tremendous hassle of returning my services to Frontier and Dish (I should have never left) and then go through the hassle of reconnecting 10 devices to the new (old) services. If you are considering Soectrum and are going to need to wirelessly support iPhones, MS Homegroup computer networking, Netflix on disc plsyers, etc, RECONSIDER. They spend half their time running you through repetitive call info (same info 20 times) via computerized voice info, then 10 minutes later when you get a human, they make you repeat it all again. On content of "service": Spectrum has never been able to get our internet coverage ok in the house, their service folks either don't show up when they say or can't solve issues. I have been in here a few times to exchange gear. I don't really expect the knowledge level to be high, but I do expect some amount of enthusiasm in a place that is there as something of a showpiece and a way for them to allow consumers to save their company shipping costs. I am used to the sign-in thing, but you'd think that those first timers who don't get it would be treated with a little less condescension than what I normally witness. The convenience of not having to wait for delivery or courier pickup makes for the second star. read more

Cancelled my service before the technician even came out. I'll be relocating to Plano in the next few days from Miami. For well over a decade I have exclusively been forced to use ONLY Comcast (as I won't use DSL or satellite for internet). Comcast, if you don't know was rated for two consecutive years recently the worst customer service company of the year (keep this statement in mind). And the time I spent on the phone with them and issues, I can vouche for that. (Although, Comcast has made a 180 since the release of their X1 cable box which is the greatest thing out there, I would challenge anyone to prove me differently. Now moving to the the DFW area I was excited to see what ISP were available. I quickly got wind that Fiber Optic has a pretty big footprint in Texas and I was stoked. But after calling and researching different providers, non of them serviced my particular neighborhood in Plano. First impression of TWC was calling to get service and pressing 1 for a new account representative. Now TWC you need to learn that you should OVER staff this department and your payment department. Because these are two groups of people you IMMEDIATELY want to help: people looking to get your service and people wanting to pay you for your service. Don't put me on hold for 10 minutes to get a low-motivated employee to offer me bundles I know more about then them. So I started the process of getting service with TWC and right off the back, their bundles and pricing for new customers isn't anything special. An install/activation fee as well.... come'on TWC. I only complain because a lot of companies (cellphones, cable companies, ISP, etc) waive that fee for new customers. AND generally have great promotional deals for new customers or people looking to jump ship from their current provider. So after chatting with TWC customer service representative online and on the phone it was clear that these people were not well trained and lacked product knowledge. That immediately reminded me of the well deserved "worst company" Comcast. I felt that I was on the phone with a Comcast rep. FORTUNATELY, I discovered that ATT provides GigaPower to my residence and for a comparable price, new customer promos, and free activation/install. Of course they have a contract, but if their service is reliable and good who cares about a 12 month contract. So I called to cancel and I had to basically explain everything above to the not-so-smart retention employee. He ended the call asking what is fiber optic and saying cable internet is the fastest thing available.... smh. read more

I don't normally write reviews, and it's a possibility that I'm writing this review too soon as I just got my internet hooked up less than an hour ago, but I gotta say that I am BLOWN away by how fast and easily I was able to get SUPER fast internet hooked up in LESS THAN AN HOUR with TWC, in comparison to Frontier who I waited for nearly a MONTH for a technician to come, with 2 no-shows! Unbelievable. Not only that, but at the current moment I am getting faster download speeds than advertised on their website, which is fantastic! I didn't have to wait very long at all when I arrived to this location (which was 30 minutes to closing), 20 minutes tops, and the gentleman who helped me was also very courteous and helpful. Time Warner, I sincerely hope you won't let me down after this because I am truly impressed by how easily it was to setup the internet by myself without having to wait for a technician, this is how all modern ISP's should operate! read more

I came by about 10 minutes until closing on a weekday to pick up a new modem. The sign in system is nice, but there needs to be more seats for waiting customers. It took be about 20 minutes to be in and out, but I had a relatively easy transaction. Each cashier stand was occupied, so at least they're not understaffed. I did notice 5 min after I arrived, there were 10 people on the waiting list. read more

Basically bribing who ever lived at my apartment before me to join. Called spectrum to ask them to remove my address from billing let me start off by saying it took them 25 minutes to answer the dang call and then when I asked him to remove me from receiving mail from them you could tell he actually didn't care to do so or to help me out never asked for my apartment number I had to tell him at the end. Decided to yelp this company because of the bad product they deliver. After 8 months of spectrum I came to realize the savings of using them wasn't worth moving away from att. Thank god no contract. Oh... Time Warner Cable... where shall I begin? First off, let me say that I was forced to get TWC by my apartment complex, which billed me $40/month for basic cable service thru TWC. IF I wanted to get internet, I had to contact twc (hence no option to bundle). So, I would up paying $40 a month to my apartment complex and $80 a month directly to TWC (internet and a DVR box, for my basic cable)... a total of $120 a month! ! ! Oh. .. let's not forget not having CBS for months due to a price battle in 2013 between TWC & CBS. Yes, during that time TWC "compensated" with offering Encore for free during this time. . But all I wanted was CBS. I feel that during that time my bill should have been lowered for the lack of service. . But, I degrees. . Anyways, New that my lease is over, I have cancelled my service and I couldn't be more happier! I now have more channels and internet & HBO for only $76 a month with AT&T. Better service and more channels for less with AT&T. So, in the end, if you do my have to have TWC, choose a different company and save money and gain quality of service elsewhere :) read more
