As I type, I'm sitting in my car parked in front of this location, scratching my head. The sign says open but the doors disagree, as they are locked. Perhaps they are celebrating or, better yet, marching in order to recognize Martin Luther King Jr. Day. In any case, this review is in regards to the service itself, rather than this particular location (which I give four stars incidentally since it's new and shiny and the employees have been lovely to me). My story is similar to many. When I relocated to my current apartment, Time Warner Cable was my only option. My balcony faces too northerly to receive satellite TV reception and Verizon -- at that time -- was only offering DSL Internet service with download speeds as high as 1.5Mbps and I am not a caveman. I bit the bullet and signed up for the service regardless of its irrefutable reputation since they offered a contract-free subscription. A pretty standard, no-frills TV package was agreed upon (a better package with more channels was advertised at a laughable price), as well as Internet with up to 30Mbps download speeds. The price I paid was not worth the lackluster performance. My HD DVR set-top box had an painfully small storage capacity, only holding approximately ten hours of HD content. The picture froze. Constantly. During recorded programs. Rendering many unwatchable. Which sucks. The internet did in fact reach up to 30Mbps of download speeds. Sometimes. For mere minutes at a time. I switched to Verizon FiOS when it became available at my apartment complex. I now pay the same price for Verizon as I did with Time Warner Cable, but I have significantly more channels and internet with 50Mbps download speeds. Time Warner Cable is simply a substandard service, charging as if it were otherwise. Let me put it to you this way: If Time Warner Cable was a cell carrier, it would have Boost Mobile service with Verizon prices. read more

This is the worse customer service ever. They don't care. Kim was rude dismissive, and hates her job and people.

My list of issues with TW is endless, but this review will just be for the store. The hours are HORRIBLE 9am-6pm! I work normal hours and usually off by 5pm but by the time I get to this store it has its usual 30-60min wait and never can make it on time. During the day the is no difference. They are always backed up on customers. I came in the morning and they said it was very short wait of 20-30 minutes! It took an easy 30-35 minutes to be seen. I heard complaints by everyone else there. There was not one happy customer here at TW. One guy waited 30 minutes to return his box because he was done with TW. Ontop of this they had an African-American lady who had a tag for TW home who didn't help with anyone, kept texting on her phone in the drawer of the sign in table and constantly slipped her shoes off to rub her bare feet on the carpet. Time Warner gets expensive, hard to deal with, and the stores have horrible hours and wait times. read more

Great service. They are awesome and helpful with me moving and changing plans the past two years. Their customer service is truely there to make you feel like youre getting everything you paid for and more. This location inparticular has great service. They are patient, informative, and walk you through situations like my moving and upgrades. They waived my fees and always update me on the newest upgrades at no cost. Spectrum is not all it advertises. Long story short, They are holding my cell phone hostage. They refuse to unlock the phone (I paid in full) unless I get their service for 2 months. This was never told to me last year. At the same time I realized their cable sucked and within a week or so cancelled the mobile service. They made me buy their phone with no where to return it. I will be canceling their service at the end of the month because they don't prorate if done sooner. What a joke. They do have hidden costs and contracts. read more

Wait wasn't that long, staff was friendly, got me in and out pretty quickly. I do think they need more seating cause there is generally a wait. We switched from Verizon. I know people are complaining about Cable but let me tell you.... We were paying the exact same amount at Verizon for 1/10th the internet speed. So, no thank you. I hate having to come here. Normally long waits but today, Sat after 4th of July hardly anyone here. That's great, but having issues with internet connection with my phone. After spending hours with tech support in the last couple of days they decided I need a new SIM card. Since I got the phone activated in store I can go back there and have the sim card replaced and don't have to wait for one to be mailed. So tech support told me. Nope. Representative Kim is short, curt, says no they don't do that here and proceeds to get on the phone with tech support again. I said I've already spent hours on the issue. Tech support isn't aware that there is 'procedure' to follow (no jn-store sim swap) This is the latest in a series of horrible customer services that I won't bother going into here. There seems to be no cohesion between departments. I've been passed around multiple times by people who are generally good reps but 'are not authorized' to do whatever is necessary for the customer. Today, Kim has been advised to swap the SIM card and see if that solved the issue but she is insisting she has to get an 'ok' from her management. Really??? I was a loyal TWC customer for almost 10 years. Over the past year I noticed that youtube videos would always stop to buffer. A lot of the times they were simply unplayable. There's nothing more frustrating than waiting 10 minutes for a 5 minute video to buffer. I tried everything. I tried different browsers. I tried power cycling the model and router. I tried using a direct ethernet cable connection from PC to modem. I tried using the lowest resolution settings on youtube. I knew it wasn't the connection speed, because I would always test it, and I never got less than 10mb download speeds. After doing some research, I learned that TWC throttles youtube, to conserve their bandwidth. Considering that youtube is one of my most used sites, this was a deal breaker for me. Luckily, Verizon just installed fiber optic cabling for my apartment complex, and I got fios. I have never had a youtube video stall on me since. Be sure you are getting what you are paying for. If Youtube or any other video streaming sites are stalling on you, give them feedback. read more

Had it before...did not like, but now that frontier took over verizon...i had to switch back....temporarily. Of course they came late for installation and of course they did not come prepared so they have to leave and come back in "20-30 minutes". Crossing my fingers the connection gets better this time around (much doubt). Had verizon for another week but the twc tech cut the wires and left us hanging. Also, after signing up at the twc store, received a call from a "Tim Worner" from Foxborough, MA posing as twc and asking me to sign up for some package they are offering. We ordered TWO cell phones over the phone, received our phones in the mail, took our phones to the local Spectrum Store @ 16434 Beach Blvd., Westminster, CA to get phones activated. A couple of weeks later, we received a package that I signed for, no label saying it is from Spectrum and addressed to my husband, so I took it to him in his office. I have been going thru breast cancer and he has been working from home while taking care of me, my dad is sick in nursing home, my brother had a major stroke and is in a nursing home, so we have been very overwhelmed and the box was not opened immediately because we didn't order anything, then we received our first Spectrum bill and it was abnormally high so when we called Spectrum said that we were sent another phone in the mail so we opened the box and sure enough there was another cell phone so I immediately took it to the Spectrum store to return the unopened phone box and to my dismay Spectrum told me it was too late to return, we received it in January..... so I explained that we never ordered a 3rd phone, obviously, the phone was never opened....... I asked to speak to a manager so had to come back the NEXT day, which I did, and the manager was very rude and said it is out of his hands because the transaction was done online and the Spectrum employees that take orders online do this to meet their quotas for commissions, etc....... he was VERY RUDE to me at the store......so we have been trying to speak to a Manager and keep being told a manager will call us but still no phone call from managers. ALL WE WANT TO DO IS RETURN A PHONE THAT WE NEVER ORDERED!! WE HAVE BEEN on the phone for 2 hours trying to speak to a supervisor in the fraud department but keep getting shuffled around, so I am having to resort to filing complaints online which will include this complaint with the Federal Communications Commission. **Also, we switched from T-Mobile (big mistake), so I had an IphoneX Spectrum said they would give us a $240 credit for, but it had a cracked screen, so I paid my $100 deductible to get a new phone so we could do the trade in, but when we tried to do the trade in Spectrum would not honor their original promise, so I had to sell at an online site for $180 instead! Also, when I was waiting to speak to a manager at the store, there was a gentleman sitting next to me on his cell phone speaking to customer service and he was complaining about almost the identical problems we were having!!! And today we received an email from Spectrum saying that my mobile device insurance has been cancelled, which we HAVE NOT CANCELLED...... Common people this place could be far worse... it's not the employees' fault that Time Warner Cable sucks. I came in about ten till 6 to switch out my DVR and pick up a new cable box and there was only one person waiting before me. Although I had to wait about ten minutes to be seen, I was out in less time than that. He was yelled at from people that it was taking forever but it wasn't his fault. Even when customers yelled at him he was still so helpful and thorough with us on what to do when my mom got home. Really only deserves 1/2 star. After my original two date choices: 1/20 and 1/21 were not available, my service was switched to 1/27 at 08-10. That's fine if I don't have a job, but MOST people have to work. After speaking with an incompetent woman it got switched to their earliest 1/31 between 4-5pm and I'd get a call on 1/30 (if I missed it it'd be canceled) and THEN, I'd get a call on Friday around 3:30 that they'd be arriving, and if I missed THAT call (even if I had confirmed it on 1/30) it'd be canceled. So after jumping through their STUPID HOOPS, I wait...and wait... It's been 3 hours and he ARRIVES to get started. No courtesy phone call (I called twice and kept getting the "they're on their way." BS service. All I want is to skype with my deployed husband. Too much to ask? In a nutshell, avoid if at all possible. read more

The customer service agents will only be attentive if you're subscribing for new sevice. If not, they are absolutely useless. You will be passed from agent or flat out "hung up on." Also the remotes do not fully function and they have not mastered their DVR technology. The dvrs can't even share your recorded shows or movies with other rooms in your house. Spectrum is a joke. TWC = The Worst Cable!! It should be TWCE where the E = EVER!! I've NEVER had so much trouble with cable service in my life!! They are consistently awful at every level and every time I call them. How are you going to rent a customer a wireless modem/router and not tell them that there is an extra $5 fee to actually use the wireless?!?!?! And TWC finally informed me of this is after months of my wireless not working (in addition to TWC service crashing ALL THE TIME!) and hours on hold and talking with their clueless customer service reps!! Unfortunately, spectrum monopolizes my residential area so I have no choice but to accept their shenanigans. Because they are fortified by market shares lock-up, they provide the worst customer experiences of any public company. Been with them for over 15 years (Time Warner), but it's services sunk to the abyss immediately after TW became Spectrum. Phone customer service reps are forced to up-sales with long queue wait time. I thought the customer experience would improve by physically visiting one of their stores- wrong assumption. I was bombarded with heavy sales tactics. Rather than resolving my issue, they aggressively tried to up-sales their bundled package. Luckily, I escaped free from further cost commitment. After reading the reviews for Time Warner, I feel incompetent for even considering subscribing to this joke of a company. I recently decided to try out Time Warner after Frontier bought out Verizon wireless (this whole monopoly of internet and cable providers is so frustrating). I shopped around and came to the conclusion that TWC would be the best alternative for the lack of providers in the OC area. The sales representative, Faison I believe, was very polite and helpful. She recommended the 200 mbps internet, and so I purchased it. The technician who came was nice, but cut corners. Shortly after he left, we realized he had knocked out the cable for our pre-existing cable (we subscribe to Dish for sole cable) so my mother's room no longer has cable. We called to straighten it out, and a woman named Rose took our complaint. She said she would call us back in 15 minutes and hung up. Surprise surprise, we did not receive a call back and we had to call again. They set us up with a second appointment. She assured us it would be the same technician who initially set up our internet (it wasn't) and he was not able to assess to problem, but offered to comp the charge of having dish network come out to fix the problem (which has yet to be solved). To top it off, the speed is currently working at, no joke, .25 mbps. What a joke of a company. I will be canceling and making sure I am not charged anymore after paying $105 to be duped. read more

Signed up on line for high speed Internet, then after 2 weeks no one called to schedule an install. I called and they had no record of my account. A week later they installed it and things were ok.. Then I went to the store to return the faulty equipment they gave me and what a pain...waited 45 minutes to turn in bad equipment! They move at the speed of slow!! read more

So just on customer service, I had a pretty pleasant experience here. I had to open and cancel my service three times before time warner got it right, but the people here helped me get that out of the way in a timely manner. They actually have a pretty decent intake system now and a much nicer facility than they did a few years ago at the Bella Terra. Now you just walk in, sign in on the ipad, and wait for them to call your name. They also have small snacks and water available while you wait. I also noticed a lot more staff available this time around, compared to the old place that just had 2 people working an angry line of frustrated customers. Well done TWC with this store. read more

Like others, if I could give a negative star I would. Last night at about 9:40 pm (3/8/14) I was watching Dateline, which covered a crime story. Just as the D.A. was giving his critical position on a murder case the cable box began to re-boot, completely cutting off TV service/reception. About 10 to 15 minutes later the cable box finished booting and the moment was lost; it was like reading a book and having the most important pages torn from the book. This has happened to me a number of times before - the cable box just goes into re-boot mode regardless of the time of day!!! I called TWC when the re-booting process started and I was livid. I told the customer service rep I wasn't pissed at him as I knew it wasn't his fault. I also knew there would be no supervisors working. I shared my displeasure with TWC and asked why the re-boot took place on a Saturday night at 9:40 pm - "Prime Time"!!! I asked for compensation and all the rep could say was TWC would give me $10.00 off for the box. WTF did that mean? I asked for a month's cost discount and was told TWC couldn't do that. I will call TWC on Monday and ask to speak to a supervisor, but I will not hold my breath. I ask you, why would the cable box re-boot on at prime time on a Saturday night????? It makes no sense. We all are at their mercy and they don't appear to give a darn as they have the monopoly. From what I read, satellite isn't much better. Terrible service read more

Ok here is the update on my switch from Time Warner to Verizon Fios. Fios is working perfectly. The My Fios and Mobile Fios apps are great. I can record shows, watch shows,review phone messages easily from the app. I can record and watch recorded shows on any TV in the house. Picture is great. I have the phone set automatically to "do not disturb" each day at dinner time so the annoying telemarketers don't bother me. What a relief. Internet speed is great. Verizon is both MUCH more customer oriented and MUCH more professional than Time Warner. I wish I would have switched years ago. read more

Completely inept check in girl. Had to run go ask manager to answer basic questions. Both the lady in front of me and myself were dropping off boxes having cancelled our service due to moving. We were unable to drop off because of the 18 (angry and upset) people waiting in line and we had both been told on the phone we could "drop and go". The girl offered to take but said we were responsible if it didn't get checked in as they accept no responsibility. We could also mail the parts to them but then we wouldn't have proof that all parts were delivered. She advised us to make appointments. I gave up and left. Tried to make appointment online as recommended, but sure enough with my cancelled account and move, I no longer had the information necessary. This TWC office is a fiasco of morons. We ordered their gold package and when the tech came out he said nothing had been done and also told us we had to buy the modem box and the router. We were told that was no charge so they lied about that. Then the tech said we had to pay 50.00 for an install and we were told it was free. After all the lies and crap we cancelled same day. They had done nothing and the next day they emailed me a bill for 192.70 and said we had 1 week to pay it. They did nothing. I filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and FCC other agencies. This company is very dishonest and would never use or recommend them to anyone. Then I upgraded the internet to 400mbps but the internet keep dropping and the tv they ask me to use the app but they said you need to buy the apple tv box. try to call customer service it took over 2 hrs waiting then talk to one of the angry middle eastern guy. I went to the office to sign up only internet service and pick up equipment. I waited for over an hour and finally got to an agent. I told him I only needed internet service because I already used another's carrier for TV. He knew exactly what I wanted he still added Spectrum TV service to my account because for a new account signing up with both TV and internet he would personally benefit more financially. I repeatedly questioned him the final price of internet only price he told me internet only is $49,99 a month. When I receive my bill, it was $100.25 because I have Spectrum TV Stream service. I can't believe Spectrum employees are this selfish and dishonest. However unfortunately in my area, I have no other choices for internet services. I hope this note will help other people to pay extra attention when you sign up new services with Spectrum. read more
