I have been dealing with no Wifi for 3 days . I have been on the phone with customer service for a total of 4 hrs . Wifi has been dropping and they said it was my router . I replaced my old router with a Linksys WRT acm 3000 . Then I replaced it with a Netgear ac 3200. . Finally I got when of their routers and modem . They said we just have just plug them in and put in the passwords . We did that and it work for 5 minuets and then the router went red. I took a cat 5 line from there modem directly to a laptop and nothing . That rules out there router . We called them and the wait time is 45 minuets . I would not recommend them at all . I have had Time Warner Cable for several years because I had no choice. I have spent so many hours on the phone with them for various reasons. I am tired of not understanding the people on the other end of the phone because they outsource the jobs to countries that English is their second language. If you do not say something that is their script, they do not understand you. Anyway, I am finally cancelling my service because I am moving. WARNING : They want you to return the equipment the very day you cancel your service. So on my busy moving day I will have to drive to a store and return the equipment. They will continue to charge you for the service after they have turned it off, if the equipment is not returned; therefore, I can't simply mail it to them at a more convenient time. Came to return some equipment on a Friday around 10 and there were 16 people ahead of me. There were only two people working for all of the people waiting. It seems that for such a big company, they should at least have more than 2 people working. Also, spectrum raised our internet prices without giving a reason randomly. My landlord provided internet and cable service. I have lived here almost 5 years. Until two weeks ago the provider was Dish Network. Then she changed to Spectrum. If you are considering Spectrum please don't. I know what she is paying and the service we receive is worthless. I just tried to access my recorded programs but I can't. "Recordings currently unavailable, please check back later". Really? This is not my decision but if it were Spectrum would not be a choice. It has been 16 days since the change and we have already had a tech here. And it didn't really help. WiFi at 100 megabytes was one of the selling points. Can't get over 10mgb. Just called again, for the third time since Spectrum was installed. Not to mention the times my landlady called. Calls to Spectrum happen 2-3 times weekly. Spectrum is terrible. I understand why the entire state of New York wants them out (look it up). I would not take Spectrum if it was free. Spectrum would make a great vacuum...they suck. read more

Time to rant. Been with Time Warner since the beginning of Time Warner, Roadrunner or whatever it was some 25 years ago. Now that Spectrum has taken over of course there are no more Time Warner deals, if you want to change things you have to go to Spectrum which is more expensive for less service. Went to the office today to try and knock my bill down which in the past TW was always able to "help" me out by going with another package. Not today. I could save a couple of bucks by going to Spectrum (which I'm sure I'll have to some day), but by saving those couple of bucks I would lose channels. Soooo, guess it's time to play the switch game and go to Frontier for a year or two to get the "new customer" deal. What a joke this monopoly is with cable, internet, phone. One would think that a company would want to keep their long time customers, but apparently with the new management of Charter Communications/Spectrum they could give a crap. I was happy enough for 1 year until Spectrum raised my bill for no reason other than my, 'promotion' expired. They were not adding anything new to my service so why should I pay them more? I already pay them plenty for internet and basic cable ($85.00) and they give me all kinds of stations in other languages that I will never watch...whatever! I was content enough but they have to go and tick me off totally by raising my bill. This was after I went into the store and tried to work out something reasonable but the agent said I had to come back tomorrow because I still have one more day on the 'promotion' that I have now. This was annoying but I came back twice and I also called 4 times, 3 times of which they disconnected me! Then, after all of this I finally get someone who is going to help me and she finds a plan that is still $15.00 more but after wearing me down I was (sorta) willing to relent. So she tried to apply the new, 'promotion' and she says she can't because the system won't let her and she offers me a higher plan! I lost it and had her cancel the cable. Then she informed me that my internet, instead of being the $44.00 it was is now going to cost me $80 bucks! So, now I have to shop for a cheaper internet service and cancel that too... I've learned that it is not worth the hassle and so I REFUSE to pay their extortionate prices so I just cancel them. It feels good to send a message that THIS customer is not going to take it!!! I do not understand why cable companies constantly put us through all of this crap! They pay tons of money, for tons of employees to harass and wear us down, having to argue with them trying to get a fair deal while they raise our bills. Why not just keep our pricing the same and save on ALL those employee costs that you hire to make us crazy and miserable? I may not be able to stop them raising their prices but I can write this review and FIRE Spectrum! I have Amazon Prime and Netflix and lots of free apps through my local library. I beat the rush of people when I got here, it was pretty empty and right after I checked into the kiosk (make sure you do that first thing right when you walk in!!!!) there was a line of people waiting to check in, so that might explain why my experience went so smoothly. There's a screen that shows your place in line and when you'll be called and they go in order. Guy who helped me out was friendly and it was super quick and I didn't have to sit through any marketing tactics as he just got me in and out of the store within 5 minutes- I just needed to return my equipment and cancel my services bc I'm moving and he didn't pressure me to start a new one or make me feel uncomfortable or anything so two thumbs up for those workers who just get you in and out and provide speedy and efficient service! Didn't really look at his name but it was an Asian dude, pretty young and kinda tan, thanks for making my experience painless, dude. *** also, Yelp says that it's located by the financial partner building thingy but it's actually on the opposite side of the plaza, if you're facing target it's to the right side and next to a massage place and weight watchers!! read more

LITERALLY THE WORST!! TWC was already not the greatest before the TWC & Spectrum merge, but now it is literally the worst! I got a mail from Verizon offering low rates on cable tv & internet. So I decided that I would just call in to Spectrum and check out their rates first since I have been a long loyal customer with them for their internet for 2 years now. So I called them to see if they will offer me a good rate that way I won't have to switch my cable to Verizon as well. So the female representative that helped me was really nice, and spoke proper English with no heavy accent. We went over their plans, and I told her that I want to keep my bill around the same amount and I do not want very much of an increase at all. So she came back and told me she would be able to offer me this tv and internet (which I already have) for about $10 more than what I was already paying. I asked her 3 different times if she was sure, and that my TOTAL BILL will be this amount quoted 3 TIMES!! She assured me yes. So I said well wth, lets do it then! After that, I got my initial bill which was almost $100 more than was I was quoted! I was extremely mad. So I called them to try and make this better. First call I had to explain the situation to a representative, then I was transferred to their escalated dept, so I spoke to a 2nd person. Explain this whole FIASCO again. Then he pretty much told me that's their lowest rate. I asked for a manager. Was told she was too busy right now and I will be put on a call back list within the hour. 3 hours later, no calls. So I called back. Now im speaking to a 3rd person. Then he told me the same thing. It's their lowest rate. Like oh yeah thanks, I haven't that yet. *eye roll* so I asked for the manager again. I was on hold for 10 minutes and he came back and said she's too busy but offered to take about $40 off my bill that I wasn't supposed to be charged for anyway because I PICKED UP THE EQUIPMENTS MYSELF! Yes, so they charged me for their service that I PROVIDED MYSELF! So by this time, I'm extremely frustrated and exhausted. I told him that's great and dandy and all but you're still not addressing the main issue! What my problem is! So I just paid the overcharged bill. But definitely going to call Verizon or any other freakin provider just to get away from this dishonest company! They do not keep their promises, and speaking to someone in charge is impossible. This company is in sad shape. They can't even keep their stream8ng service working. This is the third time in 90 days that their service is not working and in need of repair. They know it's broken by all the angry customers but have no idea for how or when it will be fixed. The worst ever. I decided to sign up for their mobile phone service. Ordered a samsung 8 as my note 8 was not compatible. So 1. Their advertisements regarding using your own phone are untrue. Phone arrived, and then a letter arrived saying that because my credit score was 759 that they could only offer me a limited number of choices. What? Went on a cruise for a week, when i got home i called them and decided not to go with them. I explained why and about this letter i received that i felt was offensive. They said they completely understood and were very sorry. That many people had called in complaining about this letter. I was transferred to another dept to see about returning the phone The guy on the phone said the easiest thing would be to take it to the spectrum store So i did. They told me that they would not take it back there. I called again and went thru several departments before i was informed that the phone could not be returned as it was past their 14 day return period. What? Then why was i told to return it to the spectrum store? Ive tried 4 times now to cancel service which i never even started. 45 minutes each call. 4 different departments and they still are sending me text messages about deducting the payment from my account. The worst place in Westminster area...customer service has no clue and no remedies for fuck ups

If I could give no stars I would. Service is ok, it's the company overall that sucks. I had cable & internet service with Time Warner prior to the merger that created spectrum. Time Warner was 100% better than spectrum. I gave them a long opportunity to provide the same level of service as TW, but never happened. I turned in my cable boxes & started streaming about a year or so after the merger. Finally this year I was able to find a worthy internet provider in my area & I'm turning in the model from spectrum today! Main reason I dumped them, cost of service. They get ya with slightly better rates than other providers, then 6 months, a year down the road & they charge you twice as much! They a year or two after that, all prices are increased for each individual service. I called and requested to have the regular services looked at to see if I could somehow have a cheaper rate. No go! They would never do anything to keep a customer. So I canceled my services & i feel really good about that! If you like giving your money to big companies for nothing but average service go ahead, spectrum is definitely for you. read more

Do not fall for the buy out program !! Plus they do not have any consideration I tried to tell them that we did not receive any type of buy out money from Spectrum we turned in everything that was required for dish network to get there last payment from us but dish network took money out of our account anyway because we never received the buy out check. We tried to work something out for our current bill because my check is late and I could pay in full but no have until the 16th of this month at least dish network would give us more time guess we won't have service for long. read more

Spectrum is a huge corporation that is too arrogant to care about customer service. I had to disconnect my service, in order to disconnect, you have to speak to a person. I called daily, being places on hold by a machine, then abruptly disconnection without warning. I finally got an answer today, after holding for 2 hours, disconnecting, only to have a rude condescending "customer service" rep, who was not going to offer any help since my call was to disconnect. I was transferred to a supervisor upon my request who was entirely more courteous, but refused to give me credit for the two weeks that I had 2 services overlapping. The bottom lines, if you have an issue with spectrum, too bad, live with it. read more

Hoooooooorrrrible. Worst experience having my service transferred from my old apartment to my new home. Mistake after mistake after mistake. First they cancelled my service too eaely leaving me without WiFi. I let that go since I was moving to new apartment in just 2 days. Why deal with having them hook it back up. Got to the new apartment, where they said the transfer of service had been completed. NOPE no WiFi here either. I was on the phone with a rep then was transferred to another rep then another and then another!! 2 1/2 hours later they tell me they will have to send a tech down. Tech will be here in 3 days! I was without WiFi for 5 days. Spent hours on the phone with reps then come to find out the package I ordered wasn't connected right so the channels I was promised werent included. Fast forward a month later. I get a bill. I pay the bill. The next month I get another bill saying I never paid the bill from the month before. I check my bank account. Sure enough the payment was made. I call and they tell me "you paid the bill to your old account. So we mailed it back" where did you mail it I ask? "To your old apartment" wtf? How does that make any sense. If I transferred service. I obviously don't live at that old apartment??? The rep says "no just cause you transfer service doesn't mean you no longer live at the old place" I WAS CONFUSED. In what scenario would someone transfer service AND state that they are transferring service to their new apartment but not be moving to that new apartment?? Needless to say this "unpaid" bill was late. Horrible service no service recovery offered. I went on their website, to trouble shoot why my internet is going in and out, only to find that during this health crisis (when I've lost my job) they decided to raise my rate with no added service and no explanation! They lie, cheat and steal so be prepared when you deal with them. They'll give you incomplete information in order to get you to sign up and once you realize that what you signed up for wasn't what you wanted, they'll be right there to take more money from you. But you'll have wasted lots of time on hold and dealing with these shysters. You'll be responsible for returning equipment you shouldn't have received in the first place. And when you return it via the UPS store, the clerk will give you your receipt for the return with instructions to hold onto it because Spectrum typically will try to claim a few months later that you didn't return the equipment and will try to bill you for it. You'll also realize that the special mobile deal they swindled you into will be a cash cow for them because they made you think it was an unlimited special when it's neither unlimited or special. And the internet service you'll find will be spotty insuring that you can't use your phone on WiFi all the time so your gig of service will be over in a flash so they can charge you more. Of course, they'll try to up-sell back to what you had with your old provider once you call them out on it. Since many of us will be stuck dealing with this vile, despicable company, just be prepared and know everything they say is a lie designed to cost you as much time, money and anguish as possible. read more

So here's my update! When I went online to pay my bill for the internet I noticed I was still being billed the $240 for the month I cancelled. Evidently I cancelled the day after my statement was due, so rather than prorate my bill for the extra day, they took my equipment, never said a word about it and continue to charge me. When I called them because this had to be a mistake, I was told they no longer prorate bills so I was being charged for an extra month that I never even had service! So rather than keep them as my internet service I immediately took them their router and told them to stick it where it gets no reception! Oh, and I refuse to pay them for that month. I am a man of principle and they can do whatever they want to my credit, but I would cut off a limb before they see a penny of it. Do yourself a favor and go to Frontier. According to my services, I paid my bill using a money order and send it to time warner cable. A month later, they send me a bill again saying that I still owe them a previous balance and they double my bill. So I called them stated that I send the payment already. They told me that they haven't received it. So I called the money order customer service, and they said that my money order was cashed out not too long ago. WTF? so apparently my money order payable to Time Warner is cashed out, but my previous balance is still remaining in the system? WHAT KIND OF CUSTOMER SERVICE is that?? And seriously, who else can cashed out the money order that is payable to the company except them? So I called Time Warner again stating that my money order for the TWC was cashed out, and ill send the receipt to them because they must have some evidence because my money order was cashed out by TWC, but they said the ACTUAL MONEY ORDER COPY has to be send in. SERIOUSLY?? They also told me that someone in the company cashed it without cleared off the balance of previous month in the system. So they gave me an advice to get the actual money order copy and send it in to them along with tracking number. :( I have to pay extra $15 bucks just for that damn money order copy to send it in to them because I don't have a choice although it is not my mistake. Blind idiot, a copy of money order is not free. PLEASE F***ING RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR ACTION NEXT TIME. Cause I ain't gonna pay $15 bucks for the copy of that damn money order each time they forget to clear my previous balance off the system when I send the money order in. PLUS, they are not even say SORRY for their mistake. ugh. I would give a negative if I could. This is not for this particular site but the company as a whole So I recently changed internet providers to Frontier from Spectrum. It was a lot of cheaper. I called them that day and cancelled my internet. They verified my info and then cancelled. The next day I received my monthly bill for $59.99. We have had their service for a few years and have always paid on time. I waited a few weeks thinking their system hasn't updated. After a week or so, tonight, I called and asked why it still shows that I owe the amount when I cancelled. The lady put me on hold and came back and said my cancellation was never processed. She then tells me that I owe the entire month since the day I cancelled and my billing period crossed in the system. I told her that didn't seem fair. She said well, the supervisor 'completed' the transaction and now couldn't be 'undone'. She said there was nothing she could do. She said once the transaction was 'completed, there was nothing she could do. I asked why she didn't tell me BEFORE she completed the transaction. She said the person I spoke with to cancel should have told me. I told her he obviously didn't. I then asked if there was someone else I could speak with like a supervisor. She transferred me to this guy. I asked if he was a supervisor and he said no but he had the same powers as a supervisor- really? Anyhow, I explained to him that we were having a hardship and had to cancel and my husband switched to another provider because of the cost. He then keeps listening and says there is nothing he can do and that we were notified in our bill that it is now month to month and that since we were notified, he couldn't do anything. I told him we were having a hardship and that was why we cancelled and that we had been with them for a long time and always paid on time. He said he couldn't do anything other than offer a $10 credit. He then asked me questions like 'what other bills are you cutting - cell phone, tv? I don't know why he asked me but I answered and told him we don't have cable or land line and my husband uses a pay as you go. He then says he can re-activate my account for a month so we can use what we paid for. Doesn't that defeat the purpose? Double paying for the same service? He kept saying - but you were notified. I told him that I was paperless and that my bank was on auto pay so that they always got their payment. He said they probably mailed something and I told him I don't recall receiving it. I told him I didn't want to get out of paying for something I used but I didn't use anything. I told him he could check his system. He said that they don't track that stuff - yeah right. I told him about social security ... I then asked him if there is someone else I could talk to . He said yes but they probably wouldn't be able to do anything either. Now, the next person gave me a different name but sounded the exact same like this guy and went through the same stuff. I told him we dont' have the router any more etc so even if he activates, I can't use it. He said I will mail you one and you can return at the end of the month. They also asked about if we were offered cellular....really? I again went to explain our hardship. I think he was just waiting for me to start crying. Now this is 1 hour later. I even asked if he was not helping me because I cancelled the service -he obviously said no. I told him it wasn't like we were mid month. The billing period was the same day! I realized nobody was going to help me. I hope these people have some hardship and people treat them the way he treated me. They kept asking about who the new service was with, what bills I cut out ... Why? you aren't going to help me and why do you need to know what bills I need to cut. I am glad I didn't get all their other services. Why give them more money than I already have. I will tell anyone who listens that this is how they treat seniors and people who need help. read more

I was shopping at the Target and just happen to look over and see a Spectrum Service Center right there!! I had been meaning to go in and get replacement remotes that one had just stopped working after over 2 years and one my kids misplaced so we had been sharing one remote, but with a crazy busy body 3 year I had been putting it off for weeks! So I go in "Check in" and not even 5 minutes later "Javier" was calling to help me! I told him my problem, he said usually I need to swap them out but he would help me as I hadn't gotten any new ones in 2 years! He was pleasant kind, and very nice to my son! The place was clean, very nice air conditioned and was out very quickly! I will definitely be going back to this location even thought it's not local to my house! I love Spectrum not just because they have my Dodger boys but because of their excellent customer service! read more

Absolutely the worst customer service. My bill went from $124.00 a month to $184.00 once Spectrum took over. Now this last month it went to $220.00. Each time I go to the Huntington Beach office to question the bill, I get the same response " I don't know " and each time I ask for a Manager I get the same response, " the manager is in a meeting " They will tell you they are the good guys because they don't have a contract, which is exactly why they can raise your bill without notice or explanation. Unfortunately the building I live in does not have any other options. And now I am told that Spectrum Mobile is doing the same.. read more

Spectrum legit recruits employees from the DMV. It's crazy how long it takes them to complete a simple transaction. There's 2 people working despite the 7+ work stations. The sales associates appear knowledgeable and friendly, but they are overly chatty and inefficient at completing a transaction. read more

I usually don't leave any reviews unless I get stellar service somewhere very memorable, but this place deserves this. Be warned. I came on a Thursday evening and the place had 4 employees buzzing around with only 1 employee helping customers. Fine, no big deal. Maybe the other emloyees have other responsibilities. Waited 40+ minutes just to return my modem when the actual transaction only took maybe 5 minutes. What I am giving this location a 1 star review for is that a month later my bill comes in and I get charged for a tv bill of $14.99 I never asked for. I was returning my modem, and the guy just tacks on an additional tv charge I wasn't interested in and made it sound like I get a one month free trial of some streaming service. He didn't even explain it to me, just as I'm on my way out he mumbles something about trying out streaming and coming back to lower my bill in a month. How about asking whether I want to have the service before charging it on my bill?? How about not wasting my time a month later when I find out I was billed and having to call into spectrum to get the charges reversed? What a super scammy way to do business. Be aware about having charges tacked on your bill even if you're just there to return a modem or do something completely unrelated. read more

I walked in to this location today , to return my equipment, I was greeted by a young girl telling me to sign in , I told her I'm no longer a customer anymore I'm just here to drop off my equipment, I tried to hand it to her , she said I'm not touching that . Sign in or else we will charge you for the equipment and not acknowledge you were ever here . I asked her where's you supervisor your very rude , she completely ignored me . I signed in on a electronic tablet . Walked to a kiosk and voiced my complaint to a lady in charge who really just didn't seem to care about the unprofessional girl at the door .
