First they didn't bother to clean my wheel before they painted it, so they just clear coated right over dirt. Now I have a wheel that's permanently dirty. Second they swapped out my expensive valve covers for cheap plastic ones. When I asked for them back they told me to come by and grab them....they handed me 4 green plastic valve covers. I care about quality and getting my property back the way I dropped it off. Needless to say, I won't be coming back Update to the response below: Warren went in the back and dug through a bin of spare garbage valve stems. After sifting through and digging out 4 random valve stems, I said these are not the ones that were on my car he just gave me a blank stare as if "these are the ones you're getting" I had to purchase another set direct from Audi. You had a week with my wheels. Being family owned you'd think you'd take better care of your customers than a corporation would. The wheel was obviously cleaned with zero care. I wouldn't do such a half baked job when I wash my car myself. You're supposed to be cleaning to to prep for paint, yet it's blatantly obvious whoever did the work is either blind or couldn't care less about the job they're doing. In regards to you wanting me to bring the wheel back.....I don't have more time to take out of my work week to correct something that should have been right the first time. I gave you all 4 wheels and a week to do the job correctly the first time. Frankly I also don't trust you to do a decent job. You've already painted and cleared over brake dust. Instead of stripping and starting over you'd just paint over the brake dust and then clear over that. It's a sloppy job and I'm not interested in having more damage done to my wheels.

This is the second time I've taken something into Fresh Start for powder coating. The first was a rusty flower pot/stand that came out excellent. These gnomes are from my grandfather when he worked at the Gary Steel mills. I'm guessing early 1920's. These may be the ugliest gnomes you've ever seen but you shoulda seen them BEFORE Mark got to them! They're so ugly they're kinda cool! They were totally rusted along with the female swashbucklers which are also from my grandfather around the same time period. They came out great also! The metal milk crates are from 1954 and 1963. Again, they came out great. What a wonderful job on everything! Whatever you might have that's rusted but you'd like to keep, give Mark a call. They have an unbelievable amount of colors too. I took the car to the tore shop where they checked the tire to find two holes and the tire filled with fix a flat. These tires are run flat tires with the foam run flat liner. These fix a flat ate the foam liner causing it to delaminate from the tire and ruin it. When I contacted Omar about this he denied it and everything short of told me to kick rocks. Filing a fraud claim with the bank for the charges in the amount of the new tire.

This is a sad review to write…read more Yes, Scott the owner is great to work with. That's refreshing and worth stars right off the bat. However, the quality of the work is just not up to a high enough standard IMHO. I don't expect concours-level work of course, but I also don't expect to receive a job that has easily spotted defects in the paint, excess compound visible on plastic parts, and body work improperly attached. I know it's hard to find good help these days, and the results of the work done on my vehicle prove it. The one thing most ordinary people get picky about is a paint job on a car so you'd think extreme attention to detail at a body and paint shop would be top priority right? Maybe they need better lighting? Of course I brought it back and Scott addressed the easily visible issues for the most part, but quite frankly a total repaint is really what's required. Scott told me to let him know if I spot anything more and he'll handle it. I'm sure Scott would take another shot at the whole job, but at this point I just don't have that kind of patience given it took way too long the first go around. I have resigned myself to just be annoyed at the flaws in the paint I can see every time the light is just right. Sigh... My search for the perfect body and paint shop continues.
