The food is cooked fresh and right after you order. Good portions for what you pay. I go here regularly and the food has always been consistent and the staff is patient and eager to serve. my favorite cheap mexican food in barrow. they even have a drive thru which is awesome but takes a while. I only eat seafood and they have fish tacos but they won't let you add fish to a burrito even if you offer to pay extra, which is dumb but whatever! the toppings on the tacos are kinda plain and they charge you extra for a few sprigs of cilantro. they get annoyed when you ask what's on something. the chicken tacos have completely different toppings than the fish tacos so that's why i asked. they have a salsa bar with lots of options and that's pretty nice. their pico is very liquidy so make sure to use a fork to put it on your taco. make sure you specify corn or flour because my boyfriend got corn with his chicken tacos, and when I ordered fish tacos I expected corn but I got flour instead. not a bad thing, just something to remember if you're passionate about the corn vs flour debate. I don't like horchata but the people I went with said it's the best they've ever had. it's right next to a gas station so if you don't like their drink options, you can run next door while you wait. they also have non-meat tamales which is amazing and rare! when I quit eating pork & chicken I was extra sad about losing tamales. the staff is okay but they sometimes change their tone when you have a special request like adding something that you intend to pay for or by removing something you don't like that they will save a few cents on. almost every modification comes with a cost. i try to ignore the service when I go in because the food is great. winder doesn't have many non-chain mexican restaurants so I was really glad when they added speedy burrito. read more

We finally had a chance to stop in and try the food and we Love it! The tacos are delicious. Everything is cooked and prepared right in front of you. The menu has a large selection but not overwhelming. The service was quick and polite. The manager even gave us free churros to try and they're stuffed!!! Yum! Don't let the location of this place deter you from visiting- it is next to a gas station. The food is very very good. Great flavor and fresh tasting! Cooks wear gloves- as they should--but some restaurant do not. The owners are very nice and friendly! I go at least one to two times a week. We drove all the way from Suwanee because we heard this place was the best. We were not disappointed! Delicious, high quality food at a very reasonable price. The staff was extremely friendly, responsive, and efficient. It is clear that they take great pride in their establishment, and their pride is not misplaced. Quality food and service on this level is practically unheard of these days. Speedy Burrito has raised the bar so high that many fine dining establishments could learn plenty from their business model. With this level of excellence I fully expect to see Speedy Burritos popping up all over Georgia before long. I hope they open one up in Suwanee soon, but until then we will make the drive to Winder. I literally only eat out maybe two or three times a week and usually when I do it is speedy burrito. Everything I have tried has been fantastic, packed full of flavor, refreshing, and delicious. My most favorites are the bean quesadillas and the half chicken platter which is so flavorful. They in my opinion have the best beans around and whenever I eat them it reminds me of my grandmother's cooking in New Mexico. When we used to visit her she always had a pot of beans and they were so good we literally would eat them twice a day every day for the whole week that we were there. Never in a million years would I think to give a "fast food" place in winder 5 stars but Speedy Burrito is just what this town needed. Their food is cooked to order and their staff is so friendly. Their steak burritos, tacos, and quesadillas are amazing. (Tip: add cheese to your burrito and taco. And get lots of pico de gallo. You won't regret it). My boyfriend and I eat here at least twice a week because it's so good. We were so happy to see that they expanded their restaurant. My husband had three tacos and a tamale, while I enjoyed the speedy salad. His tacos were all delicious, but the steak was the favorite, and the chicken on my salad was delightful too! We were checked on as we dined and staff kept busy cleaning in their down time. Winder and Bethlehem need more places like this! Burritos are big and filling, but I found mine a bit dry. It's nothing like Taco Bell - which is good. I went through the drive through. Service was quick and the lady at the window was polite. The most authentic mexican food I have been able to find around my area. Delicious horchata, yummy lengua tortas, and carne asada AUTHENTIC tacos. Tortas at "other places" in Winder (don't even have to mention) are just beans rice and meat repeat. This actually feels like a true mexican restaurant with it's own flair and influence in every dish. The salsa bar has actual spicy salsa (green and red) and has limes for your food.
