This was the initial expensive first Deep clean. Wasn't clean. Easy to see on wood floor. Could see places that weren't dusted. Damaged property but wasn't discovered until days later. So wasn't going to waste time on that call ("prove we did it"). 1 and done. Went back to old company that was looking to move on from. Update 2023 - after using team Karla for a couple of years, they started becoming very careless. Karla started her own side business and I guess in order to increase her pay, her team started to work faster and more carelessly. They stopped paying attention to detail and would seem annoyed if I asked them to take a second look at something that wasn't cleaned properly. They broke a spatula holder in the kitchen, it wasn't valuable but I can only imagine what else they could have broken that may have been valuable. They also threw away a lot of food - I had once made 4-5 cups of rice in the instant pot and Karla dumped it all in the trash without asking me. Apologizing afterwarsa doesn't change the fact that you threw away all of my fresh made rice. Spekless assigned us another team - team Karen. They have been amazing since we started using them for the past year. I hope they continue to keep up the good work. read more

I highly recommend Spekless Cleaning. I've had them clean my house several times for a once a month or a deep clean and they always do a great job. This last time I saw that they got stuff clean that I had been trying to clean myself, but could not figure out how (I know it sounds silly, but I had a water stain that I just couldn't get out and they magically did it - I didn't even ask). The cleaning team goes above and beyond. They are responsive to my requests, to pay more attention to one area or another for example. And they are quick. Plus, my house smelled so good (not chemical-y, but clean). The office is also very responsive and nice. I've used this cleaning service now twice and I am still blown away by how fast and yet detail-oriented these gals are. First cleaning service I've tried that really goes above in beyond, especially in the communication and scheduling of appointments. All the staff are friendly and professional, and they make sure to get even the hard to reach areas in places like my bathroom and under shoe racks in my closet. They ask you to go through and make sure you like the job before they leave, and during my first cleaning I noticed a spot near my washing machine that wasn't quite scrubbed and the staff immediately jumped to fix it and make sure I was left with nothing but complete satisfaction. Spekless knows cleaning. The cleaners do good work, and it is easy to schedule an appointment. My only complaint is that you need to monitor the cleaners. If you do not, they will miss things: Dust here, sweep there. It is small stuff, and it is likely true of any cleaning company. But if you want your home to come out SPEKLESS, then do not be shy about pointing things out. read more

The booking is easy, but I just want to note that there's a lot of caveats to what a "deep clean" entails. It does not include: drawers, cabinets, fridge, or (seemingly) vacuuming if they see a bug on the floor since that violates their insurance policy. I paid for a deep clean after a move out, there was brown spots left on the baseboards, under the vanity wasn't dusted, there was drips of dirt left on the bathtub. They won't throw anything in the wash, so you have to wash your own sheets and have that prepped for them. It's an expensive service, I'm happy to pay but I wanted a clean apartment and now I have to do it myself. read more

This place should be called expect less. I foolishly chose Spekless twice because of its stellar reviews, but don't waste your money! The first time, I spent more than $400 on a move in clean that ignored the finished basement, drawers, and floors. The second time--six months later--this company again ignored the finished basement (which I separately paid for), bathrooms, and the floors in each level. It's worth mentioning that the house (in both instances) was pretty clean to begin with. If you're looking for attention to detail or a cleaning that's better than you could do yourself, save your money and don't use it on Spekless. I'm embarrassed that I wasted so much money, twice, on a cleaning service. And the company offering $30 and $40 off, respectively, was pretty insulting. read more

I've never had a cleaning service before, however I was absolutely blown away with the service I got. From promptness of the response I got to the actual cleaning, everything was amazing. I even accidentally overbooked the service, I thought I needed to add a deep clean to the move-out clean but it was already included, and they immediately refunded me the extra charge. Prices in the DMV area are already expensive, but this was one of the lower ones in the area and the job was done exceptionally well. I can't recommend Spekless Cleaning enough! I have used Spekless Cleaning a couple of times now to clean one of my rental units. Specifically for their "move-in move-out" cleaning service. They've done an excellent job both times. The cleaning crew was nice and communicated well when they were close by or finished with their service. They even cleaned the baseboards! The oven, refrigerator, microwave, sink, cabinets bathrooms and more were all cleaned. You can tell that the crew took their time and made sure there wasn't a surface untouched. I appreciated that when they were done, everything was today and in it's right place. No damage was done during the cleaning process. Unbelievable garbage service now. Do not use if you value your home. I've attached pictures. The full cleaning service was $210 + tip. After reviewing the website where it mentions "no nooks or crannies are missed...gets in the corners, under your furniture, and behind your doors" but then goes on to identify baseboards are not even dusted, they are full of crap. Also, everyone who comes to your home is a SUBCONTRACTOR. There is NO training and NO quality control. The team did a decent job of putting away the items in my child's room, cleaning the appliances and counters, but I paid for maid service not toy pickup. I was extremely disappointed that there was no dusting of doors OR baseboards (I expected at least a quick dry wipe). My 100-year old Hardwood floors were WET mopped three separate times. That is horrifying. This happened even after I called in and made a note for the home's file and purchased the supplies myself to give the team (I showed them the Bona and the Bona Swiffer style device twice). They literally used a sopping wet mop and bucket with Murphy's Oil Soap each time like its a gymnasium. This is so unacceptable. They also BROKE the Bona device I gave them. They did not even attempt to clean the floors under the radiators either, which are easily accessible. They never dusted the radiator tops, which should be done as part of the cleaning, especially since I told them they didn't need to clean/dust any wood furniture. After all of this, the service offered me "their best cleaning team" to make up for it. What the hell was I paying for, your crap team? I used to love Spekless, this is now an outsourced markup company. Go to the source, hire your own maid or maid service directly, avoid the markup. FYI, the maids hit you up on your cell phone following a cleaning with an "accidental" venmo tag. Gross. read more

I subsequently hired them for monthly recurring cleanings in my new apartment. They are fast, efficient and everything is spotless after they've come through. My apartment smells super duper clean too. For my recent cleaning, they mopped and vacuumed my floors, cleaned surfaces, cleaned my top of my oven and the grates, vacuumed my couch, folded my blankets on my couch, cleaned my bathroom, and did even more. I am very pleased with their services and the responsiveness of the business. They have consistently reached out to remind me of appointments and to see if there were any issues. Their communication system is excellent - dedicated # you can text and call about service, response was immediate when I asked questions. The team of three was very thorough, professional and nice! Also, they gave my pet bear Armin van Bearen (named after trance producer Armin van Buuren) a makeover without me even asking. It's a major improvement on his old look. Because of that, my review is actually six stars but yelp will only let me give 5. The reason I have a 'before' picture is because I sent my girlfriend a picture of Armin saying "lol I wonder what the cleaners will think...". The place was falling behind with cleanliness as I was planning our wedding and got super busy. Decided we finally needed to hire cleaners to help. Found fantastic reviews on this place through Yelp of course and google. Booking was super easy and pricing is pretty transparent. Our first cleaning I was very excited for, and booked a deep cleaning. The first team we had - arrived later than they had said. That's okay. They got to cleaning and took maybe less than two hours for our 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment. They did ask if everything looked okay before they left, and during the cleaning I did catch that the baseboards were not cleaned (this is part of the deep cleaning). She had explained that they do dust it but don't wipe - not sure if that's normal as I don't normally get cleaning done so that's fine I said ok. After they left, I did further inspection more closely and come to find that my dishes were taken out of the sink and not fully put back in, weren't washed (it was like a few utensils and maybe a bowl?). They did not wipe the countertop well at all, many crumbs left and they didn't move my small appliances around to catch it, the stove top was still very dirty, the cabinets were not wiped, corners were not vacuumed well, let's say I was highly disappointed for how much we paid. I reached out to Spekless to inform them of everything that was missed - sent pictures and explained what happened. They did refund the deep cleaning extra charge and I decided to give them another chance and requested a different team. My new team Walkiria is just Superb!!! They are SO thorough and clean SO well! They arrive on time and reorganize a lot of my stuff that I wouldn't know how to organize. I'm very happy I gave them another chance - the only con is that the pricing is definitely on the higher side when I ask my friends what they pay for theirs. read more
