To start, the concept and mission is the best thing about Spenser's and I wish we made it in sooner but I am grateful we stopped in today. Everyone working was so kind and just sweet, I loved the compliments from the cashier (she was a delight and her smile was very contagious). I got a PSL and it tasted really good, I liked that it had a floral note to it. I also got a cinnamon roll to go and it was a bonus that they could warm it up. My hubby and I enjoyed it across the street at the park and so did our dog lol Can't wait to come back and hang out in the shop because it seemed like a relaxing place to hang out with friends and enjoy the time!

My favorite coffee shop in Surprise! I cannot wait to go back! I loved all of their Valentine's specials. They have some merch for you to browse and purchase. They also have a lot of pre-packaged treats. This place is definitely meant for folks who love their drinks on the sweeter side. I had friends who did not enjoy their drinks because they were too sweet but it was perfect for me. Staff was extremely friendly and it was very heart-warming to see how they knew their regulars and their orders so well. The love potion (strawberry white mocha) was my favorite. They have seating indoors and outdoors.

Super cute coffee shop. A fun mix of speciality drinks are available. I got a iced coconut cream pie latte with coconut milk, I did ask for it half sweetened and I would 100% recommend that since it is still pretty sweet. Majority of their food items are gluten free and there is a large variety of options. The cashier was super sweet and the shop was not understaffed. The interior was comfy and great for studying, meeting with friends, or working. Free internet!

My wife and son love this place. This is one my my wife's favorite coffee shops in the west valley. I am not much of a coffee fan, but I really enjoyed how bright and smiling all the employees were and the interior of the building is very welcoming and smells wonderful. I recommend a stop by if you are in the area.

Can't believe I've never been here before, especially when it's so close by! I love the mission behind this coffee shop and how inclusive they are to people with disabilities. They have a variety of different menu options alongside their seasonal selection. I tried their rusty spur latte, which did not disappoint! The blackberry flavor complemented the richness of the coffee very well, and was super refreshing. There were a ton of GF and sugar free sweet options available. They're located right next to sanity salon which appears to do collabs with Spencer's place. For June, they're offering a $65 enzyme facial with a complementary refresher from Spencer's!

My mother-in-law really likes this place, so we came here on her suggestion! This is sort of a big deal because she rarely likes to buy coffee out. She likes brewing it at home. :) On the way there, I Yelped it and was thrilled to read that it had a five star average rating. It was a Tuesday morning around 10AM. We were immediately greeted pleasantly by a young woman cleaning the tables outside. Once inside, we saw that it was pretty busy. There was a mixed bag of all ages, individual and in small groups. The decor is warm and inviting. I saw from the photos on Yelp that there were coffee flights. I'm glad I saw that because I didn't see it anywhere on the menu. I asked the person at the register about it (who, by the way, was super friendly, helpful, and overall very pleasant) and she said they absolutely do have flights and pulled out a tray that had pre-made flavors (see my photos!) I ordered one as iced. The flight was super cute and so fun to try. I'm not a flavored coffee type of gal, so this was a nice way to try flavors I might not have ordered as a full size. My daughter and I shared the flight and each did a rating in order of which we expected to like in what order and also in order in which we actually liked them. Silly, I know, but again, this was so fun. My mother-in-law ordered a chai latte which she really likes. She does not like it really hot, so we asked if we could order it warm and they said absolutely. We also ordered a couple of pastries which were fine. I ordered a toasted plain bagel with cream cheese. There was a lot of cream cheese in it, but that's not a big deal because I just scooped some aside. Everything was good and the service was outstanding. I read while in the shop and also saw on their website that they employ adult persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a former special education teacher, I love love love this. Five stars for Spencer's Place!

A very stylish ambiance that's perfect for your local study spot, or if just looking to catch up over some coffee. Offering tons of sweets that all seem to be locally made, a standard drink menu, and a monthly rotating menu as well to switch things up a bit. My Fiance and I fell in love with this place since the first day we stepped through their doors, and strongly urge you to give this place a try if you haven't done so as you won't be let down.

We absolutely love Spencer's Place!! They partner with our church and we were able to go and try them out for the first time after we were gifted a gift card to come get a free cup of coffee. We have now been several times and it is certainly a place we make a point to stop in to if we are in the neighborhood. Their flights of coffee are super cool and fun- deff get one! The cinnamon rolls that they have up my the register are to die for!! Service is never anything less than amazing. The staff have beautiful hearts and souls and the warmest happiest smiles. I love supporting small local businesses and will be a lifetime supporter of this establishment and all of the good that they do and love that they show the Lord's children.

I just love this gem! First of all, I'm so excited to have another local coffee shop. Second, their purpose and mission is inspiring and draws my business to them, hiring and employing people with disabilities. And of course, the product and people are awesome! I've only had their cold brew because, well, that's what I drink. I find it the perfect strength and flavor...and that first sip! Ahhh. They have pastries supplied by a local bakery and have sandwiches, small bites coming soon! To top it all off is the amazingly friendly service. The owners are always there and so warm and genuine. This is my new go-to!! read more

Located in the same shopping Marley Park shopping plaza as Basha's, this coffee shop is tucked away from the street and is not easily seen by passersby. It's a quaint little place that always seems to have a little crowd. If you go, try their cafe mocha, it's quite good and prices are comparable to Starbucks. Next time I go, I'll definitely have to buy their cinnamon rolls as they looked pretty tasty last time I visited. This place gets kudos for hiring people with learning disabilities, which is a definite plus in my book. So next time you're in the area why not give them a try! :) read more

For almost one year I have glanced over to Spencer's Place as I arrived or left my hair salon next door. Today, I decided to go in and order my favorite beverage that I usually pick up at a major competitor. Without hyperbole, it was an excellent cup of iced chai with almond milk latte that I have had and that I did not make myself at home! Well done, Spencer's Place, and I am loving your "purpose." Great local coffee shop with a purpose. Not only do they support folks with disabilities but also support local business by purchasing coffee from a local roaster. I had a shot of espresso and iced summer drink. Both were delicious. I've been back three times even though I live in Goodyear. Definitely worth the trip. read more

First time going to this spot and it's a great atmosphere. The service was wonderful and all the employees were incredibly friendly. The coffee is delicious and better than what you get at local chains. I had the caramel frappuccino with extra caramel and my girlfriend had an iced coffee with sugar free vanilla, heavy whipping cream and cinnamon. This will be our new coffee spot; not to mention they also support and hire individuals with special needs! We will definitely be back. If you're looking for great coffee, friendly service and supporting a local business/good cause this is the place to go. read more

This place is great, truly. I do think that their drinks are a bit too sugary though. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, I just wish they made their drinks with less sugar and more of that coffee flavor. I also wish they specialized more in the essence of coffee in the sense of having more options when it comes to pour overs, drip coffees, etc; they might be too focused on the syrups rather than the coffee flavor in their drinks, and that's the only down for me! Other than that, the ambiance is super laid back and their service is good. read more

Used to like this place as they had pretty good coffee and friendly people. Now when I stop in it's like I'm invisible. I walk in and no one says a word to me. This has happened the last several times I've gone in. Is it because I'm a male and theirs usually females working? Not sure. Interesting as the people that come in after me are always greeted properly. Just don't get positive vibes from this place anymore. Not really a friendly homey neighborhood coffee shop if you ask me. Coffee and pastries were always mediocre but I loved what they stood for and I like to support local. There's a Starbucks right next to you that I'll get coffee from next time read more

Originally we did go for the coffee flights mentioned in some yelp posts and on tiktok, undortunately they do not offer the coffee flights anymore. Instead we got the mint chip and the flower child. The Mint Chip was really minty but not too sweet, the drink was well balanced and easy to drink. The flower child was extremely aesthetically pleasing, the drink had nice floral tones with some sweetness but not too sweet. Overall both of these drinks were delicious and had a balanced flavor. I am excited to come back and try more of their fun concoctions.

She was so kind, super attentive, and made a point to make eye contact and engage with everyone at the table. It was my dad's birthday, and they brought out a birthday treat for him, which was such a nice, thoughtful touch. However, the check-in process was very uncomfortable. The host who greeted us didn't make eye contact with me at all, a person with a disability. Instead of speaking to me directly, he asked the person I was with if I needed a child's menu. As an adult, being talked about rather than talked to was rude and honestly pretty embarrassing. It would have been much more professional to provide standard menus for everyone or just ask me directly if I needed anything specific. The kitchen definitely knows what they are doing. Everything came out hot, fresh, and delicious: The bread and butter were warm and a great start. We had the bruschetta and a shrimp appetizer, both were hits. Our table ordered the cheeseburger and fries, the salmon, and two orders of the short ribs. Everyone loved their meal and had zero complaints about the food quality. The restaurant was packed and had a high-energy vibe, but the music was way too loud, it made it a bit hard to talk. The lighting was also a bit strange; it was very dark, and at several points, the lights would flicker or completely turn off and on again, which was a bit distracting. If you want to go on a Sunday evening like we did (6:00 PM), definitely plan ahead! We made our reservation a couple of days before, but by the time our day arrived, they were completely booked. I'd recommend making a reservation at least a week in advance to be safe. I would definitely come back for the food and the excellent waitstaff service, but I really hope management works with their hosting team on how to treat every guest with basic respect and direct communication.

I recommend this one because I have worked here before and I have worked with my friends who I know from school and Younglife Capernaum. I have a friend who is named Spencer who I known since the 8th grade and he has been a wonderful person and a wonderful friend and I know his family so well. He has Down syndrome since he was born and he is very flexible. So I would like for you guys to come to Arizona to support him and this coffee shop and i am sure me and my friends would appreciate that alot. read more

I love that this place is employed by adults with Special Needs! I had the cinnamon roll and the lavender latte as well as a large black and blue! They tasted so good and I fully intend to come back and use this place to hang out and sudh with some good drinks and snacks! It looks like they're opening up more options sometime in the Spring with sandwiches and salads. I can't wait! read more
