What an awesome place! You can tell they're well loved because they were packed. Seemed that there were lot of regulars, which is always a good sign. I had a tea (I wasn't a fan of the flavor but I went out of my box & tried something new) I'll definitely be back to try other teas because they have so many options. It usually takes me a bit to find what tea I like at each place. They have so many coffees alternative options as well. Along with that they offer pastries, sandwiches, bfast burritos, & I saw a lot of gluten free options. I tried the date & brown sugar pop tart and it was so good! 2 stars for very friendly staff! Unfortunately bagel was inedible and I threw almost the whole bagel with eggs into garbage. Bacon was half raw, bagel was cold and egg looked like solidified vomit (I was afraid to even try it). Lemonade was pure sugar. Wasted $12 - will never go there again. read more

Spencer's Place is a cozy coffee shop in Surprise. It's clean and inviting. Their flights of coffee are yummy and fun, and can be made hot or cold - they have non-dairy (oat milk or almond milk) and decaf options available if needed. The pastries were beautiful and tasty. Special in so many ways! Delicious coffee and pastry (the cinnamon rolls were fantastic) with sweet ambiance that would be a 5 star stop no matter what. I came in to get an iced latte and a quick lunch sandwich. They told me that they didn't have food anymore, I assume they sold out of everything, and it was like 2:00 so thats understandable but still sad. The issue I have is that they only offered single-use plastic for their cold drinks, even if we were drinking them in the cafe, they didn't offer any glassware or mugs to use. This is an issue because single-use plastic is horrible for the earth, and I'd rather not spend my money somewhere than use a plastic cup. If they changed this, I would consider returning :) read more

My favorite place for a grande decaf caramel Frappuccino with light whip. I also like their homemade pop tart. They have about 6 different flavors. I have them warm it up so it's easy to cut into with a fork. I come here once every 5 weeks when I have an appointment in the area. They allowed using part of the place as a recording studio for a talk show that literally there is no way you can talk to your friend, hear others, or listen to your own headset. This is very inconsiderate of others. I can't trust this place to plan and come and see there is a live show with loud talk and music. read more

My friend saw this on a video list of best kid friendly coffee shops in the valley so today we went to check it out with her young daughters! I will say the play area was smaller than we expected but not a problem. This place is awesome, they employ people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and as a speech language pathologist who sometimes works with that population, I love to see it! Service was really good, super friendly people working here and they helped us out when my friends daughter knocked a drink over on the carpet. I got a cold brew with oat milk and butter pecan, my friend got a brown sugar iced latte, and got a muffin for her older daughter. We both really liked our drinks! Definitely a welcoming vibe in here too and surprisingly busy for a Tuesday morning which I think shows how great this place is. My favorites in order were the Milky Way, Salted Caramel, White Rasberry, and then the Vanilla Cold Brew... Crazy I know that the cold brew was my least favorite. I adore Spencer's Place and all it stands for. My heart beats stronger here. It could be the coffee, but I'm pretty positive it's the love that flows so freely here. Met a friend for coffee this morning and sat outside so we could social distance. My first visit was a very welcoming experience. The owner (I assume) was super friendly and chatty after I mentioned having moved here recently from Seattle. Most would assume I KNOW my coffee (being from Seattle) but that is not the case. I honestly have never had a cup in my life! Despite this, I happily ordered a hot chocolate and it was just as good as any Starbucks I've been to. I also enjoyed a delicious blueberry and apricot muffin that was huge, tasty and very moist. The young man cashing me out (Michael I believe) wished me a happy NY and told me and my friend to have a wonderful day. He was very polite and great with customers. A wonderful asset to their business. We opted to sit outside so we could social distance and their patio allowed us to do that without issue. It was clean and comfortable. Just wish they had the fire place going as it was a bit chilly. All workers were wearing masks but I did see one lady ordering without and no one seemed to be bothered by that. The inside tables weren't nearly spaced out as much as I would hope but that is why I refuse to dine inside these days. This place does great business and I am always happy to support a great cause. This place is cute and quaint. I love that they have a sign next to the ordering station that has all the employees drink recommendations. I usually always ask people what is their drink of choice so I loved that I didn't have to. I got the brown sugar iced latte and it was so so good. The girl Brooke at the counter suggested it and it was 100% delicious. I also ordered the brown sugar and date Poptart and I was amazed at how much I loved it. Above my expectations. There were kids there playing in a little designated kids area with toys. So if you're a mom that needs a 30 min coffee break this place is perfect.
