Stopped in for a tasting a while back with a paired cheese flight and man have we been hooked since! Everytime we are in the area we make it a habit to stop in and buy some goat cheese it is absolutely delicious, the strawberry is hands down my favorite cheese!!!! The wine is good to if you drink and like wine!! But the wine and cheese tasting pair is a must do!

Cute tiles along their front lawn

Spenker Winery is a cute little farm that not only has wine tasting but adorable goats you can go say hello to during their business hours. The goat barn is right next to the tasting room and they'll walk right up and say hello (no petting.) Their tasting barn has both cheese and wine tasting and products for sale. I didn't do any tastings but did purchase an herbed chèvre. They have yoga and soundbath events starting each March through the warmer months, so I may come back and do some goat yoga! Really cute little farm with friendly people minding the shop and the goats. Worth a stop if you're in Lodi.

Day 2 stop 5 Not just wine!!! Nope! It's a farm! Story is the farm started back in 1901 and has remained in the Spenker Family since then. About 30 years ago, the farm expanded beyond faming to include wine production from grape growing to wine bottling. Goats!!! GOATS!!! GOATS!!!, They produce all kinds of cheese made from goat Milk. You can feed the goats too! They are so friendly. They enjoy Animal Crackers! They have activities including wine tasting, Painting with your glass of wine, Feed the Goats, Goat Yoga.... Get the idea? Go there and enjoy!!!!

My friend and I came here for goat yoga which included a goat cheese and wine tasting. Upon arrival we were greeted right away. All of the staff were super friendly as well as the goats haha. The goats were sooo cuddly and cute :) Beware that they do like to chew on your hair and clothes. The wine and cheese tasting was done in another red barn. I'm not an expert in wine or goat cheese but I really enjoyed the Jalapeño Queso Fresco! The time slot was for 10-1, however we were done by 12. It was a bit pricey but we definitely enjoyed our experience. I would come back for more goat events!

    Winemaker's dinner

We came here for the 2022 Wine & Chocolate event and chose this winery to attend their Winemaker's Dinner on the Friday evening before the event. I had been to Spenker Winery back in 2016 and loved their wines, and therefore I chose this winery to attend their dinner. Little did I realize what a lovely family we would come to know as a result of this event. Chuck, the owner, greeted all the guests outside when we arrived at their lovely red barn house styled winery. Betty Ann, his wife: the winemaker and cheese maker, explained the farm-to-fork dinner that their friend prepared for this event (more on that later). Their daughter, Sarah, served each dish to us and poured the wine that accompanied each one. The other lovely daughter was in the kitchen assisting with the prep. We happened to sit at the table where the owner and his wife were seated, and got to hear about how the winery got started and how it has grown over the years. The dinner was a four-course farm-to-fork meal, each paired with a different wine and a different cheese. 1. Aracini di Risso paired with 2016 Zinfandel 2. Mixed Greens Salad with 2018 Evenjng Primrose 3. Rotini Pasta with 2014 Petite Syrah 4. Zinfandel Pears with 2014 Zinfandel The food was made by a personal friend of theirs and each dish was amazing and delicious! Their wines are all amazing. We bought the 2016 Zinfandel to take home. They also have a creamery with the most delicious cheeses! Their farm is filled with goats and they offer goat yoga and other fun things. The following day we stopped by again for the Wine & Chocolate event, and they were offering cheese pairings with their wines for $5 each. They also offered free popcorn with a variety of toppings that you could add to it such as chocolate chips, dried cranberries, nuts, etc. This winery is my favorite in all of Lodi, not just because of their amazing wines and tasty cheese, but also the family behind the name. Add this winery to your list if you happen to be in town!

Truly the highlight of my day!! This was just the most darling stop during our tour of Lodi wine country. I was immediately pulled in by all the adorable goats. The little baby goats were galloping and jumping around. It was so adorable. They had several different kinds of goats on property. I recently lost a goat that meant so much to me. So to come here and see oodles and boodles of them made my heart so happy. The lovely Donna was kind enough to answer all our questions and talk to us about how they're cared for. You can tell these goats are loved. We decided to go inside the tasting room and check out some of the goat cheeses. we were helped by Sarah who took us through a little bit of family history. She set us up with a cheese tasting and we each wine by the glass. I tried the 14 Zinn and it was delightful! It was said to pair well with the Goat With a Pearl and boy were they right! It paired beautifully. All of the cheeses were delicious. Goat cheese is a favorite of mine so this was such a treat. I completely fell in love with their interior. The goat decor, pictures of various goats as well as the family, the mismatched chairs and antique tables. It was such a comfortable environment to be in. It was cozy and charming and fun. I was elated to hear about the variety of goat experiences they offer!! Including goat yoga, Goodnight Goats where you get to cuddle the babies (too freakin cute), and even sponsoring a goat!! D I seriously cannot wait to come back for some more cheeses and goat snuggles. Truly a little slice of heaven.

What a beautiful setting. The farm is full Of goats and vineyards. We had a goat cheese and wine pairing. We love the petit syrah. The pairing is fun and goes well together. Great relaxed environment.

Just paid $25 online for their sunday evening Goodnight Goats event off their Events website and worth every penny! So cute! A kid event for sure. Its in a barn with baby goats running free. This is a small farm with gravel/dirt parking, surrounded by a vineyard, kept quiet clean, small diy sign announces you're arrived. Small parking maybe 20 cars. Their events fill up fast. Very friendly staff with young kids wearing logo tshirts and jeans and work boots. You sign a release and then walk to the barn(a fee steps, not much distance). Not wheelchair friendly. You can leave your purse behind but can take your phone in. The barn is hot obviously and they give you chew toys for the baby goats. All the goats have names and chew on your hair, clothes, etc. if you let them. At the end of the half hour session they gather the kids to do a quick 1 minute story book. Then you walk to the main wine front area thats has central heat/air where they give you cute goat shaped cookies with a sample of cold goats milk. Very tasty! This store room has bathrooms, merch, goat cheese & products. Very small and quaint. Would recommend!

My kids enjoyed the beautiful peaceful tranquil farm grounds and the tree swing

Very lovely stop on our way south on the 5. My family, including 2 kiddos under 10yrs, enjoyed our visit here. The kiddos enjoyed their goat milk ice cream popsicles and we enjoyed goat milk cheese and red wine pairing flights... The scenery is very relaxing and they have plenty of comfy, casual farm style seating and views Since they make their own goat milk cheese, they have great tasting products as well as many beautiful, peaceful goats for you to look at and learn about. Overall a lovely experience visiting here and I recommend it if you're in the area and want a casual, farm-centered, family friendly wine and goat cheese tasting experience.

    Cute baby goats!!

Wonderful ambience and people who work here. Sat outside but they have indoor seating as well. Cute place. Can have kids but need to supervise. Had wine and cheese pairing and watched the goats.

We were quickly greeted by the friendly female hostess who offered us either indoor or outdoor seating. We chose to sit indoors to enjoy our tastings of both whites & reds . Normally I prefer reds however in the summer I enjoy a crisp Sauvangion Blanc or even a nice Rose. If you purchase a bottle your tasting fee is waived which is always a great deal. We enjoyed ourselves so much we returned for the Alpine Block party event which included tastings at Stonum Vineyards and two other nearby wineries. This fun filled evening included live music, food trucks, and the Lodi Wine trolley shuttling you back & forth between the wineries. Definitely a good time! I highly recommend Stonum Vineyards & Tasting Room for great wine, friendly service and well coordinated, entertaining events.

I had driven by many times and it seemed like an appointment only place but I guess now they have enough staffing to open up the hours and days of the week. First, their reputation has always been very good. They've had some recognition from some reputable wine sources so I had very high expectations for the wine. In, short, the wines were very good. They had a nice selection from rose to the more Lodi styled red wines. I really did enjoy all the wines and the price point seems fair. I guess I was kinda hoping to meet the winemaker, learn more about their vineyards and purpose for growing certain varietals. When you get wine with a story it makes the experience that much more enjoyable. I really like this place and I'm hoping to make a stronger connection with the business since I consider myself an advocate for Lodi wines since my hobby is to compare our wines with the best out in the other regions of CA. Pretty heavy competition but so far Lodi is more than able to compete with certain types of wines aka Zinfandel, Tempranillo, Syrah and occasionally Cabernet.

She's welcoming, genuine, and incredibly knowledgeable, but never overwhelming. Instead, she creates a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer and come back again. What really sets her apart is her consistency. It's not just one great visit--every time we've been there, she's gone above and beyond with the same positive energy and attention to detail. Because of her, this winery has become our go-to spot. I even celebrated my 50th birthday here, and it was such a memorable experience. All of my guests couldn't stop talking about how amazing Rachelle was--everyone felt taken care of, comfortable, and truly impressed with the service. The winery itself is beautiful, accommodating, and perfect for gatherings, which made the celebration even better. On top of that, the entire team at Calivirgin is fantastic. Everyone we've interacted with has been friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming, which really adds to the overall experience. The wine is excellent, the setting is great, and the people are what truly make this place stand out for us. We'll absolutely keep coming back, and a big reason for that is Rachelle.

Last weekend on a trip to Sacramento, I finally had a chance to stop by their Olive Mill and Winery. There is a nice sparking clean outdoor patio with picnic tables within a few steps from the olive oil grove but it was a bit hot that day so we opted to sit inside. In addition to the olive oil tasting set, there were some brunch items such as a crostini and salad as well as a Mediterranean plate with hummus. We opted for the crostini, olive oil tasting and a cappuccino. The jalapeño olive oil was unique and flavorful enough that we bought a couple bottles of it to take home. The pear vinaigrette was thick and tangy. The waitresses were friendly and helpful when we had a couple questions about the dishes. The shelves in the shop area is full of flavored olive oils and vinaigrette as well as ceramic and a whole slew of items for serving charcuterie. If you are a fan of olive oil and are planning on a trip up to Sacramento or Lake Tahoe, would definitely recommend stopping by to check out Calivirgin.
