I wasn't sure... but once I got there I remembered that I've been to Spice & Dice before. But that was years ago, I believe. I regretfully forgot about this lol gem tucked away in a strip mall in Towson. If it's any help, it is located in the same place as that monstrosity, 'Old Glory' or as I like to think of it, 'That bar that college kids, sports fanatics & those lacking any adventure in food' place tend to default there. Back to S&D... Upon entering, you are greeted with the front desk and it just happened to be a very good indicator. There were quite a few people there either picking up orders or were food delivery pick ups. It was VERY busy. While all this mayhem may have been a turn off, it let me know this place was in high demand ... so I was okay with it. There was a woman that was multitasking her behind off. She handled the phone, register, handing out the pick up orders and making sure everyone got attention. Very impressed. There was a young man that was the perfect supper, backing her up. They had perfect synchronization. Eventually, we were seated in the dining room. I immediately noticed there was only one table seated in the entire dining room. I assumed this was bc of COVID restrictions and thats why the pickup area was so crazy... that was fine with me (but turns out, my assumption was wrong). We sat down and the same woman that was handling the whirlwind up front was now ALSO our server. WOW! Anyway, she came up, greeted us and was the perfect person. She knew that menu inside & out. I'm thinking she must be the manager or owner. In any event, she easily answered any questions we had and made some excellent recommendations. She was incredibly attentive give and kept checking on us. The timing of refills, getting things requested and clearing of plates was really spot on!! We opted on dining on a smattering of the following: 1. Thai iced tea: now while this is very simple to prepare, it can be tricky if they don't know what they're doin. It can really be overly sweet at times at other places - Yuck. Spice & Dice, However, is not one of those places. This was the perfect marriage of the sweet tea, condensed milk & ice (to temper out the sweetness. It melted in and evened everything out perfectly). SCORE!!! 2. Jasmine Tea: Perfect as always. And came in this individual carafe serving container. Pretty cool. SCORE!! 3. Tom Yum Soup (aka - Lemongrass Soup): I got the veggie version of this spicy Thai hot & sour lemongrass broth, fresh mushrooms, tomatoes, fresh cilantro, and lime juice mix. It's the perfect 'go to' soup for me. You know how when ur feeling down and a nice bowl of Pho or miso does the trick? Well, so does a good spicy version on 'Tom Yum' or 'Lemongrass' soup. Straight DEEEEE-licious-ness! Yummm, indeed! (see what I did there?!? Lol) Actually, after having it, I realized I would have been just as content having a MASSIVE bowl of this soup and just swimming in it... lol. So good. SCORE! Oh, btw... I ordered two pints of it 'to go' when we were done. Ha! 4. Thai Curry Puffs: These decadent, flaky, crust pies (3) were filled with tender potatoes, curry chicken, onions and garlic. They were served with a freshly cut cucumber salad (in a delicious sweet rice wine vinegar sauce). Perfect compliment. SCORE!!! 5. Yakizoba: This was a new one for me. It was Yakizoba Noodles stir-fried with your choice of meat (I opted for chicken), pineapples, sweet onions, cabbage and carrots in a red wine reduction sauce. This was INCREDIBLE!!! The flavors were everything I was wanting and didn't even realize. I destroyed this dish! Yummmm SCORE!! 6. Bangkok Noodle Soup: My dining companion (aka 'Brotha from Anotha Motha') Dined on a choice of noodles (ramen), ground pork, fish balls, shrimp balls, tofu balls, roasted pork, and beansprouts in an aromatic clear broth. It was a little too sweet for him so he asked for some sauces to spice it up a bit. I couldn't handle the fire sauces he added so I tasted it PRE-BLAZING. It was sooooo so good. I could see what he meant by the broth being sweet. It reminded me of that delicious sweet herbaceous broth one normally gets with chicken pho (another fave of mine). Yummm! SCORE!!! Earlier, I mentioned how dead the dining room was. Turns out, we simply got there BEFORE the dinner rush. By the time we finished, the sizable dining room was almost at capacity (socially distancing enforced) and they had people waiting to be seated. SCORE!!! I've been there three times. The first time, I ordered Pad Thai to test whether the restaurant was authentically Thai, but it wasn't what I expected. The next year, I tried the beef salad, which turned out quite good. This year, I went back and ordered the drunken noodles, but they were too sweet. I've been to Thailand several times, and authentic Thai food is usually spicy and slightly sweet -- not just sweet. I've decided to look for another Thai restaurant nearby. I love that they do not skimp on spice out of fear you won't like it or be able to handle it. Each dish gives you a takeout list of items to add to the dish too so you can really customize the dish. Had carryout from here today. The individual who took my call-in order was very polite and patiently answered my questions. I am very wary about trying new places. Although my daughter absolutely loves the Spice and Dice red curry soup, I found the chicken lemongrass soup unappealing. The taste is not authentic, and the seasoning is weird, not tasty at all. The pork ramen soup was not impressive either, as the meat was very bland. Because, I prefer dishes that are more savory. I cannot recommend this eatery. I love this place, however they are trading to do too much and it affecting their product. The last 3 times I have ordered take out, it wasn't ready after I received the text, "order is ready for pickup." Then I get the food and it's cold, tasteless, and the rice noodles are slimy (I order chicken pad Thai 99% of the time). The parking lot is atrocious with door dash and Uber eats just parking and blocking open spots. And they even added an outdoor eating area which took away spots. I would recommend this combo if you're looking for a well-balanced variety. The Pad Panang has a delicious red curry with a generous amount of veggies (something that's always lacking I feel in noodle-based dishes or curry-mainly dishes) and rice. The Pad See Ew was a nice contrast in textures and the flavors of sweet, soy, and eggy. Decided to take my lovely wife for lunch at this Thai restaurant after reading all the positive reviews. It was our first time here. We were the first to arrive, so there was no wait. Soon, other patrons started coming in. My wife was in the mood for noodle soup, so she ordered the Tom Yum Noodle Soup. I didn't want the usual Thai fare, so decided to try the Grilled Pork with Jasmine Rice. The food came out within 10 minutes. Both dishes looked amazingly. Unfortunately, they both lacked flavor. The Tom Yum soup was not very flavorful. The roast pork was dry. To me , the best part was the fried wonton skin that came with the soup. The grill pork with rice dish was just as disappointing. The pork was tough and tasted like it was stir fried. I didn't see any grill marks or detect a grill flavor. It came with steam vegetables - it was a lot. In a word "don't". I used to visit Spice & Dice before COVID whenever I was in town. The food was quite good. Tonight's meal was not acceptable. I had two dishes, A18: Chicken Curry Samosa and Chicken Drunken Noodle. The Samosa's were overcooked simple FILO dough with almost no filling. The Drunken Noodles were still hard, with watery un-flavorful sauce that tasted of burnt oil. The redone inside looks pleasant enough, even if the service is very odd with their push button server system. It's so sad because this place used to be so good. Not coming back again. read more

The food was not bad at all. But, please note that no alcohol, beer, or wine is served here. Normally, that wouldn't be an issue. But, as it turns out, I could have used a drink given what was in store for us. When our food came out, I requested some chili sauce; not, what I would've thought, was an unusual or excessive request. Nevertheless, I was told that the chili sauce had been "put away". I appreciated the fact that the kitchen was being kept in order. However, the actual interpretation was, "we have put the chili sauce away. THUS, you may not have any". Again, food was not bad, but I think it would have been even better with the "put away" chili sauce. Spice & Dice is located in an unassuming strip mall on Joppa Road in Towson. Lots of free parking and a convenient location. Some friends and I went for dinner on a Tuesday night, and it was fantastic! We started with the Spring Rolls which were crispy and served with a sweet chili sauce. Our entrees included the Pad Thai with Pork, the Fresh Spice with Chicken, and the Yakizoba with Chicken. All three were YUGE! We could have easily shared two entrees and still had leftovers. The Fresh Spice was loaded with chicken, bell peppers, mushrooms, carrots, and scallions in a very tasty mushroom garlic sauce. It was served with jasmine rice. The Pad Thai with Pork was abundant in stir fried noodles, bean sprouts, scallions, and egg. The Yakizoba was tasty stir fry with pineapples, sweet onions, carrots and cabbage. Our entrees were about $15 each and plenty to share or to have leftovers. If you get their app you can get points to redeem for future meals. Our service by Ann was great. Recently revisited spice and dice after having a mediocre experience like ten years ago, and was extremely pleasantly surprised! The food was great this time! We had pad see ew with chicken and the spice and dice rice special with pork, as well as a soup and salad. All of those were excellent! Good amount of vegetables in the dishes which I really appreciate. The only miss were the cheesy curry egg rolls, which were overcooked to the point of hardness. Oh also had mango with sticky rice and it was very good too. I keep thinking about my meal and can't wait to order again. Noodle Charm and Spice and Dice are now one one restaurant, and it is a wonderful marriage of eclectic flavors! They now have delicious, wide variety of Thai dishes and also amazing noodle soup bowls to choose from. I like how the noodle soup menu works, you get to choose whatever soup you like, then pick the type of noodles you want, such as ramen, rice noodles, or egg noodles. Today, I got a large piping hot bowl of braised beef with sticky rice noodle soup. The marinated beef was so flavorful and tender, the soup, vegetables, and noodles went great with it. I also got a glass of Thai tea. My lunch was delicious, the ladies that work there are so nice and helpful. I will definitely be back soon to try something else. read more

I usually realllllly love the vegan pad thai from spice & dice. The last 2 times, however, were disappointing. The noodles were over cooked and the actual color of the dish was much darker than usual. It was oily and the tofu tasted like it was recooked. The presentation was not as neat either. It seems like they threw together my meal. Perhaps they started to run out of food due to the time of my order (near closing time). I'm not sure. I do like that they offer curbside pick-up for those of us that are still social distancing. I also enjoy their delicious iced Thai tea. I'm hoping that the last 2 times I went were just a mishap because I usually really enjoy their vegan pad Thai and vegan Bangkok meal. Friends ordered pineapple fried rice, Thai iced teas, and regrettably another meal with tofu that I can't recall. Although they have a sizable vegan section online, it was difficult to tell what was vegetarian and what was vegan in person. Fortunately, you can substitute tofu for the majority of ingredients; the broths and sauces are the primary things to be concerned about. Wow, the restaurant really outdid themselves this evening. Nit, our server, managed to keep all 11 of us straight. We had requested separate checks by couple, and it turned out perfect. We ordered the Pad Thai and the Spice & Dice Fried Rice with chicken. I asked for my rice dish without tomatoes and they were happy to oblige. Expect A LOT of food on your plate. I thoroughly enjoyed my rice although I doubt that I ate half of it. I am not a huge fan of Pad Thai but I thought they made a nice dish. It was delicious and tasted like it was made with high-quality fresh vegetables, but I was a bit disappointed by the portion size because I'm used to a lot larger portions from Thai restaurants. The second time, I ordered pad thai with tofu, which was top-notch, AND a huge portion size which lasted me two meals.
