Love it, love it, love it .. food is amazing . Always my must go to spot when im in the area.

Spice and Dice has been our go to Thai place and it still is as there is no other prominent Thai place close by. We have been a regular for 4 years now. The restaurant changed significantly over the years, not only the interior layout/decor but the taste as well. We had countless birthday parties and get togethers with friends and family over the years. Staff mostly has been friendly and welcoming. We have tried numerous entrees from their menu and we found spicy beef salad, pad thai, pineapple fried rice, and drunken noodle to be our all time favorites. Their curry dishes are not as good as their stir fried dishes in our opinion. Past eight months or so, the drunken noodle dish has been very disappointing. The portion keeps getting smaller. The flat noodles are in small pieces and they crumble. What a shame. The flat noodles used to be big and chewy with strong flavors. We truly miss what it used to be. The one we had today was burnt. See the picture. We still enjoy our other favorite dishes but the disappointment over drunken noodles is hard to get over. We hope our message reaches the management/chef and see some change in the near future. read more

Yelp Fam!!!!!! Back at you with another review of an amazing hidden gem in Towson,MD. My GF took me to one of her secret spots and man I can't front it was nothing short of great. So it's Date night and we wanted to do something different. So we jumped in the car and made our way to Spice and Dice. First off this spot is very well hidden while in college I guarantee I passed by it hundreds of times. You walk in and it's deceptively spacious and nice decor. They had a jazz band playing the evening we dined which was a super chill vibe. We sit down and the way they do service is a group waiting system so you will interact with all of the servers at some point. Now for the real details the Order- Drink- THAI ICED TEA- this was one of the best ones I've had. One of my favorite drinks, Smokey, sweet, delicious. Tip*ask for the sauce holder- soy sauce, Sriracha, red chili flake Appetizers: 4 cheesy rolls- WOW idk why but this was amazing the sauce that comes with it is truly amazing as well. Order these, seriously just do it Teriyaki chicken dumplings- tasty, crispy and had the teriyaki sauce to dip. Very good Main courses Pineapple fried rice-YES. Amazing- shrimp, chicken, pineapple and veggies. Large portion and tasted great. This dish is something I will be getting again. Spice and dice fried rice- great, large portion. Dessert- Fried ice cream- it was the perfect end to our meal. Honestly I will take more photos the next time, the food was so good I totally forgot. We got here a little after lunch and just before dinner so it wasn't busy, and quick note: you have to choose if you want the lunch portion or the dinner portion because I believe the dinner portion is more generous and of course more expensive. As a party of four, we opted for the dinner portion. Masks are required upon entering. The place has a cool ambiance, not tacky or cheap. Prices are very reasonable though. For the food: if you're a vegetarian, this place is for you because they just pile your dishes with lots of veggies. We ordered Bangkok steak which was more veggies than steak, I could prob count the steak strips. The sauce was good tho, and it wasn't that spicy. Same thing with the green curry (which wasn't green by the way) which was just an assortment of veggies, the chicken option I ordered must be lost in there somewhere. Taste was so-so, and it was spicy (like most Thai food, duh). The pineapple fried rice: I honestly did not see or taste a shred of pineapple, maybe somebody else got the pineapple piece? But anyways, this was a meal in itself because it was just loaded. I prob could've ordered it for myself. Maybe we just didn't order the dishes others are raving about, but for me, this place was just a pleasant change to the usual everyday fare. Nothing too fancy. Will I go back? Maybe. Spice & Dice is a Thai food restaurant which serves excellent lunch specials for $10.95. I had the Crispy Pork with Broccoli, which I will definitely get again because it was delicious. This meal had stir- fried fresh cut broccoli and cabbage with with crispy pork (Moo Krob) in an oyster mushroom sauce, with an excellent blend of spices. My friend had Pad Thai with chicken. I had a taste and this too, was also delicious. This meal had stir- fried rice noodles with chicken, egg, scallions and bean sprouts topped with ground roasted peanuts. Our waitress, Ann, was very pleasant, knowledgeable and caring. The restaurant offers takeout and also has a very pleasant, clean dining room. I also liked we were given the option of how spicy we wanted our meals. If you haven't been to this treasure in Towson, I highly recommend going there. read more

Our friends live nearby and fave about their dishes, in addition I've seen some drool-worthy looking bowls on Instagram, so I was glad to make a double date night plan to pick up take-out with friends. We ordered the Tom Yum Soup, Spicy Tofu Salad, and Drunken Duck. Our order was done way quicker than they anticipated, lucky for us-since we planned to just hang out waiting in the entry way...but I guess if we weren't there it would have meant colder food..hmm. Anyways, the portion size of the dish was great for the prices. I was impressed with the Tom Yum soup. They packaged the soup broth and ingredients separately, so I could can make a fresh bowl without some elements getting soggy. There were loads of ingredients. I had a massive bowl, and I still have a bowl for tomorrow's lunch! The container was filled with pork slices, fresh fish cakes, and fresh-crispy veggie toppings. My only woe was there were no won ton flakes in the box :( I love the crunch they add to soup. The spicy tofu was very airy. They must fry it for awhile. I would have liked a thicker tofu taste- but the seasoning was really the star of the dish. Whether it was on the tofu, tomato, or lettuce I loved the spice. The duck dish had thick slices of duck, they may have been slightly overdone, but again the seasoning was the star. The sauteed veggies, made the white rice pop with burst of deliciousness. Had takeout last night at Spice and Dice Thai restaurant. The food was borderline delicious. It's just not the best food for take out. My least favorite was the persnickety host. I offended him asking for spicy mustard for the spring rolls. He put him hands to his mouth and said OOOMG, this is NOT Chinese food. Realizing my culinary talents are lacking, I then asked if he had any ketchup packets. He then made a the face of someone who starred at the sun too long. All three dishes were good enough but not amazing. All three dishes felt like there was an ingredient missing and did not fully taste like real Thai food. Was in the area, and decided on Spice & Dice based on the reviews. Came around 8:45 on a Saturday evening, and the place was pretty busy. There was one available table and we snagged it. Inside is more of a homey feel, and doesn't feel like you're in a strip mall restaurant. Service was pretty average, not great but not horrible. The 4 stars is really for the food! We tried the jasmine rice soup with shrimp to start, and there were really some layers to the flavor. It was extremely tasty. I got Thai basil sauce stir-fry with chicken and shrimp. It came with a side of white rice. Now I'll say that I've only had Thai food a few times, so I don't have a lot to compare it to...but this was amazing!! They are not stingy with the portions, and I thought there was no way I'd be able to eat the entire bowl. Then my stomach reminded me how much it can consume, and I had to stop myself before I finished the whole thing. I also tried a few bites of the fresh garlic stir-fry and it was equally as good. Updated: my fourth time here and still love it. I had the eggplant with basil and tofu and it was great. Original: My daughter took me here on a recent visit to Baltimore and it was excellent. The fried rice was outstanding. The vegan curry Matsaman was pretty good but a little too sweet. I'd scale bake the sweetness. Still it was rich and delicious over rice. The rice pudding and the sticky rice was really beyond the norm yummy. A great cream flavor that was perfectly balanced with the rice. If you don't like more rich and sweet get the rice pudding instead of sticky rice. The service was super attentive and not intrusive. One star was to recognize that. I would absolutely be back and with such an extensive menu, even for vegans, there are lots of options here. Recommend! read more

What a fun discovery! In a strip mall in Towson but the restaurant itself is huge! We ordered chics dumplings, khao soy and the duck soup with fine rice noodles. The disputed had the most delicious broth and bone in duck. Slurped that sucker right up! Khao soy had bold flavors and a delicious thick broth. Suggestion - add in chili oil or the chili sauce for added kick to both dishes (ask your server for this). Chive dumplings were incredible, pillowy and some of the best I've had. Tuesday night, located in a small plaza. Nice crowd at 6:30pm. Service was a tad slow. The Tum Yum with rice noodles and fish balls was very good. Broth was light with just enough heat. Not to spicy. The duck curry needed more curry, duck was tender. Accompanied with plenty of veggies. Not too many pieces of duck though. Pad Thai was very good. We asked for the hottest heat they can do. Never fail, tasty Thai food. Always our go-to! The spice level is always perfect and everything is fresh.

This has become one of my favorite restaurants and I've been trying everything on the menu that catches my eye! I know Americans are used to an entree meaning meat, but I've been loving the red curry, fried rices, and stir-fries with mixed vegetables instead, and you can choose to leave out baby corn or carrots or any specific vegetable. Remember Thai curry is soupier than Indian curry and eating with a spoon instead of fork, or just pushing the soaked rice onto your spoon with the fork, makes sure you get all the flavor! The shrimp cakes are very nice and come with sweet chili sauce, though the chicken curry samosa are very thin and don't have much filling. The eggplant salad was an amazing starter. The basil fried rice is cooked to perfect texture and flavor and is actually spicy in every bite, not just more chilis. You do have to learn your spice level and it can very by dish, as I had the Pad Panang at spiciness 4 of 5 and that was a bit too spicy for me, but bright tasting and good, and the Pad Prik Sod at spiciness 4 of 5 was so smooth and tasty it didn't seem as spicy. My latest visit I couldn't eat in, though I've always gotten fast and pleasant service, as a friend and I were in a time crunch. She said she didn't know any ramen places around but that inspired us to get the Tom Yum soup with ramen noodles and Bangkok noodle soup with fine rice noodles/vermicelli, which definitely were very fine but not as slippery to eat while avoiding looking silly as soba noodles. Both dishes were delicious, with rich broths of such different flavors it's difficult to compare to pick a favorite! I might try to add some shrimp balls or fish balls to other dishes now too, instead of adding eggplant fora $1 to everything. Those balls and the tofu balls might sound strange, but definitely try them first. They're easy to pop out if you don't like them, leaving plenty delicious soup to eat, but I was surprised how much I liked them. The soups were packaged very well, not a hint of leak. The broths were each in large cylindrical plaster containers tightly sealed, inside plastic bags knotted closed, and large plastic bowls with lids were filled with the dry ingredients, and cartons held the noodles. It's perfect for takeout as nothing gets soggy from the drive taking too long. As soon as you arrive somewhere, you can open the large bowl of ingredients and pour broth into it and add noodles, and decide for yourself the ratio of broth to noodles. I could drink the broths by themselves they were so flavorful! It was far more soup than we could eat at once, so it was nice to be able to only add in some of the broth and the noodles and keep some noodles in the carton and some of the broth warm in the watertight container. If you like the spicy kind of salty food this is the best restaurant for you. But you can still get your choice of food if you request. My choice is spicy salty though. Very good environment and very helpful friendly staff makes this place always filled with people. They recently upgraded their area. But because of popular restaurant and good food you get here they are almost busy every time you go there. So expect about 5 minutes wait but trust me the wait is worth it. They are one of the best Thai restaurant around Towson. Not even dining in they also delivere food from diffetent app like grubhub. Cute place and I love that someone clearly put love into decorating the place. After reading a bunch of good reviews I was excited about trying this place. I ordered calamari and drunken noodles. Neither was impressive. Both were just ok. The drunken noodles did not have the sweetness of basil that is traditionally there. No sign of real basil either. It was lacking vegetables that were in the menu description. I had asked if it was spicy (I like spicy and was told it was. There was not even a hint of spicy. I was disappointed. Then I asked about using the 10% off coupon advertised on yelp if you check in. I was told "Oh we don't take those anymore". Not a huge deal breaker but it would probably be wise not to advertise it if it's no longer available. read more

I love this place and frequently dine in. Today I ordered via DoorDash and was really disappointed. I ordered the drunken noodle, which had little noodle and little flavor; no spice at all and the portion was incredibly tiny for the price. I also ordered the mango sticky rice which had a floral taste so strong that it was inedible. It was like eating perfume. For $30+ dollars, very disappointing. read more

I have finally found my favorite Thai restaurant in the Baltimore area!!!!! Things I love about this place: - The food is so delicious and fresh. I've had their drunken noodles, pad see ew, pad thai, pineapple fried rice, calamari, and various curries. Their dishes are not overly salty or oily/greasy (which is my biggest pet peeve). Throughout their various dishes, they give a generous portion of veggies/meat/tofu. I would highly recommend everything that I listed above! - The portions are huge! This incident was from a while ago. But it needs to be known for people who wants to visit this restaurant. My boyfriend and I ( he is Black American & I am Chinese) dined in before COVID pandemic. The restaurant made us pre-pay for the meal right after we ordered. We were very confused as of why they only made us do this because we saw waitresses giving the bill to other diners after they had finished their meal. Needless to say we won't be visiting this restaurant ever again and will caution other people of color to avoid this spot as well.
