My dinner at spice was quite good overall. We sat in the roof top area which has a nice view of the lake. We were served quickly and the food was pretty good overall. My review of the food is as follows: Seared scallops - 4.5/5: scallops were perfectly seared and paired well with the flavored glass noodles underneath. My only complaint was that the noodles really stuck together but they were properly cooked. Spicy tuna rice crisps - 3/5: this is one of my go to dishes at Asian/Japanese restaurant and sadly this one disappointed. The tuna wasn't seasoned well (it needed more heat) and the crispy rice wasn't crispy enough. The rice to tuna ratio was also a bit off Szechuan dumplings - 2.5: this is probably the one dish I wouldn't recommend. The filling for the dumplings was just uninspired. It was basically just chicken. The cook on these was fine but nothing about this dish excited my taste buds Green curry mussels - 3/5 : I really liked the curry sauce. I haven't had mussels with curry before and it was a nice pairing ; however, the mussels didn't taste fresh and/or were over cooked Overall, I enjoyed my meal and learned about G4 tequila (it's amazing, just try it) and the service was quite good. This is a great place to eat with friends, on a date night, or solo. Parking early in the day is easy to find however there is free valet service. The ambiance is chic with a great vibe. You can also sit on the rooftop if you're feelingrisky. I sat at the bar and was served by Shay, the bartender. She was amazing and attentive with my drinks and food. This is our second visit with to Spice Asian Kitchen. The ambience of this restaurant was nice with good music. Our server was attentive and always made sure we got what we need. We ordered different dishes from small plates and the food presentation were excellent. We had tom yam soup with good seafood and chicken in it and good broth. The tuna sashimi on top of taco shells was so refreshing especially with avocado and red pickles onion on it. The scallops on top of the vermicelli noodle were okay, it seared well but not much seasoning to it (kinda bland) but the vermicelli noodle seasoning was good. The KFC wings has good seasoning on the breading but not so much on the chicken meat part. I wish it let me do 3 1/2 stars but it didn't. read more

I order from Spice regularly and came in today to place a lunch order. Although there is special lunch pricing listed on the physical menu and online, I was charged normal pricing. Taco trio $15 Spice Fried Rice (veggie) $18 Lunch menu shows $14 for each of these and $13 online. When I pointed it out to the young lady taking my order, her response was the higher pricing was correct and she wasn't sure why the menus have not been updated. I pressed a bit given the advertised prices are different but no concession was made. I will not be patronizing this restaurant for lunch anymore. read more

I have been here for dinner on 2 occasions thus far. Both times, the food has been 5 stars!! My most recent visit was with 2 customers from Peru. The server was very patient with us given the language 'barrier' and make great recommendations. Apps - we got chicken wings and potstickers/dumplings. Both were excellent. The dumplings were big and flavorful. Wings cooked perfectly. For the main course, I go the Steak Tataki over vegetable fried rice. It was excellent! Highly recommend. read more

In the area for work and stopped by Spice Asian kitchen to grab a quick dinner. Staying at the courtyard by Marriott, and this restaurant is just a short walk away. Great location! They have seating downstairs and a rooftop area as well. Restaurant was pretty full around 7 PM on a weeknight. Everyone working here was super amazing. Here's what I tried: Drunken noodles with beef: I requested them to make it really spicy and they totally delivered. This dish tasted delicious! I can't wait to return just so I can have it again. SO GOOD! 3 Tacos Appetizer: The shrimp taco is delicious. The beef Bulgogi was a little too sweet for my taste. The salmon taco was my least favorite. The salmon was a bit dry and didn't taste the freshest . I'd pass on this one... Their menu is pretty expansive and numerous dishes sound intriguing. This is my 2nd trip to Spice, but the 1st time I enjoyed it. The first time was back when covid was causing major issues so I didn't even review them then. I'm so happy I was able to go back and really enjoy Spice! Stopped by on a Thursday late afternoon, right when they opened so we were seated immediately. We sat outside because it was a perfect fall day. The upstairs portion was closed for a private event, so we sat outside downstairs. It's not a huge outdoor area but it was perfect for us. Our server was Dayne and he was wonderful, very attentive, nice and helpful with everything. We ordered the beef drunken noodles, Szechuan Dumplings, Spicy Tuna Rice Crisps, the bulgogi dish and pomegranate hot sake. I truly enjoyed everything! I'm a huge fan of Asian food, especially Thai food, and was pleasantly satisfied with my experience here. Was here with my family in early April, celebrating my cousin's wedding where we were seated immediately after making reservations less than 2 hours before. I was not familiar with this shopping center but traffic was a complete nightmare and trying to find parking was almost impossible and this was during the week. So I have been here enough times to give them a fair assessment. The staff here is always super friendly and quick with service which is an a plus. When you go be sure to check out the rooftop bar area if it's nice out. But the one thing I can say is the food is not consistently great . The first time I went everything we tried we absolutely loved while the next few gos everything was just ok . Some of the items I have tried here are the bibimbap bowl, dumplings ,& some sort of dip I can't recall the name of it but it was really good . The drinks are always a go here . We ordered Spice via Door Dash. Everything was on time and the order was correct. It was our first time trying the food. We got an order of szechuan dumplings and chicken pad Thai. The dumplings were delicious and hot the spot. They were a good size with lots of pork filling and they were pan pried to a good crisp. The dipping sauce was savory and a kick of spice. For the pad Thai, we've had better. The portion size was great. It was so stuffed it was actually a little hard to mix everything together. The flavors just didn't feel balanced. One bite would be a little bland but the next would have more sauce. The pieces of chicken were seasoned well and a good size. The noodles may have been slightly overcooked. I love this Asian fusion restaurant...but I have to dock a star from our last outing! My husband chose to celebrate his birthday dinner here...and well, some disappointments! First of all, we were interested in their upper patio dining...but we noticed that all the seatings were high tops with no backs! Plus, the upper patio area is quite tight and constricted. Then, the patio dining area on the first floor are just not that great. Picnic tables, for one! HUH...kind of surprised that this restaurant didn't invest in nicer patio dining. We resorted to dining indoors near the window. Again, I noticed this time that the only tables right by the window were tables for 2 Then the second, odd thing. In the past when I came here for dinner, the place had nicer ambiant lighting and great overhead music (usually some sophisticated metro-lounge type?). On this particular Saturday night, there was no ambiant lighting, and no overhead music! The ambiance was just not there this time. What happened?? Anyway, we ordered Szechuan Dumplings, Sashimi Tuna Nachos and the Pork Belly Bao Buns...and they all delish! My son ordered the Waygu Burger, and my husband and I both were excited about ordering their Shortrib as the main dish! However, they were out of this item...?!? They were clearly on the menu, but was out of this item...at only 5:45 pm!! HUH?!? My husband ended up ordering the Pork Shoulder Bossam, which btw, looked nothing like what was pictured in the past. He seemed quite underwhelmed...especially considering that he saw the pictures of what they used to look like. Sadly, my son was underwhelmed with the Waygu Burger, saying that it was kind of bland. I ended up with Pad See Ew with Shrimp...which was pretty good, but not as great as what you'd get at authentic Thai restaurants. Overall, the clear winners were their savory appetizers...not the large dishes, with the star attraction missing!! I just couldn't believe they were out of Short Ribs at 5:45 pm! For this at the very least, am docking 1 star. :\ Honestly, if I haven't enjoyed this restaurant so many times in the past, I would have docked 3 stars for all the disappointments on this night (a B-Day occasion!), but I'm dropping only 1 star since it's been one of my faves. My first experience at Spice will be my last. I went there on a busy Saturday night, and got a seat quickly on the rooftop. A server promptly took my order, and someone else brought my order out pretty quickly as well. So far, so good. I wasn't given any utensils to use, so I waited over 10 minutes until the server passed by briefly enough for me to ask for silverware. Several minutes later, the server dropped a spoon and fork on the bare countertop, while hurrying to another table. OK, fine. The silverware was wet, and appeared to have some kind of residue on them. After several more minutes of waiting, another server asked if I needed help, and I stated that my silverware appeared dirty, but at that point, I just wanted something to take my food home in. That server took the silverware, and after several minutes brought me two containers and a bag for me to prep my food. However, that server forgot to bring me any silverware to use to scoop my food into the containers I was given. I had to wait several more minutes for the first server to finally check on me again, and I asked once more for silverware to use just to scoop my food into the containers. Apparently, everyone else was a top priority that night. Eventually, I was able to pack my food to go. It helped that the server who brought me the containers recognized that something was wrong, and politely voided my check as a courtesy. And yes, as silly as it sounds, all I needed was a clean fork to use to eat my food, and it took over 40 mins just to get one. This is what happens when you let kids run your restaurant. read more

We enjoyed our dining experience here. We got the KFC with spicy sauce on the side, pork shoulder bossam, and crispy duck. Everything was really tasty. The wings were very crispy and well seasoned. The duck was very crispy but the meat was a little on the dry side. The vegetable fried rice was surprisingly delicious. It had a ton of vegetables so it wasn't an afterthought like some side dishes sometimes are. The pork was very tender and well seasoned. The cabbage slaw, cucumber salad, kimchi, and lettuce (for wraps) complemented the meat really well. Overall, I would recommend this place and will return to try some other dishes. read more

The 5 stars is for the service. Our server was great. Friendly, attentive but not so that you feel like he was just trying to flip the table and always had a smile on his face. The food was okay. I get why everyone loves this place. My husband does and that is the only time I ever go. I'm real picky when it comes to any kind of Korean food, be it authentic, fusion and KBBQ. When you grow up with a momma who makes Korean food that'll break-da-mouth. Not much can hold up. Anyhoo- Scallops where just a tab bit under cooked and there wasn't really much flavor. The glass noodles were a little too sweet. I do love that they toast their bao so I enjoyed the pork boa. Hubby loved the dumplings and everything else. The Tom Yom just didn't have enough flavor, for me, personally The presentation of all their dishes is nice and the atmosphere is chill. One thing I didn't really like was being sat at a table that was up against a wall and directly behind another table. Super close. All good if we are doing a shared table type of seating but it wasn't that and the space was tight. But it wasn't bad enough to ruin my dinner. So, there's that. I'm sure I'll be back because most of my family enjoys this spot. It really is a great place for the family to enjoy a meal and they really like the food. Very beautiful restaurant with a good variety of dishes. I do wish they had more selections of sushi, however the choices they do have are very good. I had the Spicy Tuna Rice Crisps which comes with fresh tuna, spicy mayo, sweet soy, scallions served over crispy rice rounds. I loved the different textures to this dish. My favorite was the Bulgolgi Taco, which is Korean beef, lettuce, house slaw, mango mayo, almond dust. The beef with all the different flavors on it was absolutely delicious. Next time I come here, I am definitely ordering a few of these. I also had the Spice Fried Rice. This is not your typical fried rice. This dish comes with big pieces of slow roasted pork, egg, onion, bell pepper and scallions. This dish is excellent. Overall, great experience and great food here. It may have been an off night but the food was ok not the best Thai food that I have had. The Spring rolls were very bland ...just simple lettuce with shrimp in it and a dipping sauce. It would have been great with some lemongrass or basil or mint....something to kick the flavor up and some cabbage. The bao bun bread was over cooked and crisp and I am accustomed to it being steamed but this was not but it was still good. I also asked for a lemon ginger soda but they did not have ginger...the server recommended the strawberry mint but it was not good. We came on a semi busy Sunday afternoon. We were seated right away inside. They do have a rooftop where there are a few tables and a bar. The mimosas were $6 so I had to have one. It was mango and very delicious. We ordered crab rangoon dip as our appetizer. Our server was incredible and offered some gluten free options to dip with . They dip was so good but I wish it was a little bigger. For our entrees, my had the spice bowl (gf), KFC wings, and the a pork and duck Bao bun. The bowl was huge. My bf, who can really eat, couldn't finish it. He loved how flavorful it was. The wings were crispy and juicy. I was so excited for the Bao bun but they weren't good at all. The bun was overestimate cooked and had. The pork was so fatty that it was not enjoyable. I won't get them again when we come back. Our server was amazing. He was nice. Bathrooms clean (even this late at night) and the prices were moderate with decent portions. We had the kimchi fries as an appetizer, highly recommend.
