New Asian fusion lounge uptown. First off when you walk in the decor and atmosphere is giving upscale, luxury lounge. The decor and vibe were spot on. I got one appetizer, the a lemon drop martini (wrong drink) and the sushi roll was correct.. Autograt was included in the check which is probably why they do not feel the need to give attention to the customers. If u are going out this is a pretty photo opp but other than that 0 stars.... Our server was sweet but everything else was not good at all. Our food took a very long time to come out and our party didn't get all our food at the same time. We decided to just share because it was taking too long. Then a woman other than our server came to our table to tell us needed to get going because our 90 minute reservation was over, while we were still waiting on our last plate. That was terrible and when we told her, the delay was on their part she walked away and never apologized. Literally expected us to just pay and go but the check then took another 20 mins to come. They scanned our parking ticket but of-course it was too late since it took 3 hours to get 5 plates out. By then parking was another $18. Gratuity is included no matter the party size. Basically every order includes it. If we hadn't been told to leave in such an unprofessional manner while many tables were empty and open for other reservations, I don't think I would've been as disappointed, while trying to give grace for the delayed service. The aesthetic and atmosphere of this restaurant are absolutely stunning--definitely a place that makes a great first impression. I also loved my Matcha Martini, which was smooth, well-balanced, and a standout on the menu. However, the service was disappointing. When we arrived, we asked to be seated at the bar to enjoy "the bar bites", only to be told they weren't available during the week. But when I questioned it, the hostess replied "it's on the menu", the response was very passive and sarcastic. As for the food, the Bang Bang Shrimp and Salmon were both overly salty, and my friend was unhappy with her meal. To make matters worse, our server--who was also bartending--never returned to check in on my friend or offer a replacement for the dish she didn't enjoy. The last time we saw her was when she dropped off our first round of drinks. The food is also overpriced and I understand we're uptown so everything is going to be a bit expensive but the prices don't match the quality. Another frustrating part of the experience was the included gratuity. I don't mind gratuity being included because waiters aren't tipped properly I fully support tipping and believe that if you can't afford to tip, you shouldn't be dining out, it was frustrating that our server received a set tip despite providing poor service. Overall, while the ambiance and drinks were impressive, the lack of attentiveness and hospitality took away from the experience. With better service and attention to food quality, this place has the potential to be exceptional. read more

My boyfriend made a reservation for a party of 7. To celebrate my Mother graduating & obtaining her Masters. When we arrived they sat us in the corner where the cushion seats are. With a small, round, & low table. How are 7 people suppose to eat on this low, small table? I have no idea. The table is more suitable for hookah or something. Then we asked if we could be moved to a higher & bigger table. They said those are reserved, but we can switch to the middle area that has a higher table. We went to the area she suggested & all 7 of us could not fit. 3 of us has to sit on this couch & they had 3 seats surrounding the table. I should've took a picture. Anyway, remember there are 7 of us! So me & my boyfriend had to share a chair. Had to push the chair with another persons chair & hope I didn't fall in the middle. They didn't even bring an extra seat for us. Then they start bringing the food out. There is noooooo room to fit all the plates on the table. The table was higher than where we were previously seated BUT it was still a small table. The manager comes with one of our plates asking US where should he put it. Like Sir you see there is noooooo room. It was so bad my boyfriend ate his plate of food on his lap! Literally no space on the table! The manager goes back & forth with us. Telling us he wasn't provided with all of the information by the server. Also, telling us on their end it says a party of 6. Which is a lie, & even if it was a party of 6 the table wasn't going to accommodate a party of 6 eitherrrrr. He then asked if we would like to move to another area with higher tables, better seating, & also can put the tables together. This is literally what we asked for initially! By the time he asked us this we already had our drinks, starters, & most of us were finishing our entree. Like bffr the dinner is already done. ATP nobody wanted to move, we just wanted to hurry up & leave. If you can't accommodate large parties then don't allow us to book it. There was noooooo room, no accommodation. No reason why my boyfriend & I should be sharing a seat, no room for our food, & my boyfriend eating his food on his lap. They acted like there was nothing they could do. Then we got dessert & the server didn't bring us any utensils to eat it with. ATP wrap it upppppp! So we asked for it to go & had to put in a box with chop sticks due to not having any utensils. Then when paying the server is mad I told one of the people in the party there is no need to tip because of the gratuity. The server literally had a fit. Mind you my boyfriend & I already gave her extra to just round it up, despite the gratuity. Unbelievable! Literally messed up my mother's graduation dinner but want to have a fit. The drinks, food, music, & ambience is good. I'll give them that, but the customer service is terrible. Never had an experience like this at a restaurant. I had a 9:15pm reservation on Saturday night for two people. Arrived 5-10 minutes early and they still had 3 parties ahead of us. What's the point of making a reservation the ? They have a doorman to open the door but the hostesses were inconsistent and unreliable. One did not acknowledge us when we walked in. The second hostess one said they would get me at the bar when our table was ready. Well the bar was full and my party and I had no option but to stand and wait. 10 minutes passed and I asked for an update and she told me that she did not know when the table would be ready. Gave some excuse about the 90 minute allotted time. They seemed scared to kick people out at the 90 minute time. The ambiance was busy, young crowd of 20s-40s. Overpacked. This is by far the worst dining experience I've ever had. We booked a table for 10 to celebrate a friends 30th birthday weeks in advance to this outing. We arrive on time and ask if the cake can be placed in the back until we're ready for it . They say no problem but it's a $10 fee to store the cake . Okay whatever we agree. Then they seat us at two 5 top tables. We thought this as an oversight and pulled the tables together so we could enjoy each other's company. To which the manager comes over and chews us out and lets us know we cant do that, that it'll ruin the dining experience. He honestly couldn't have been more disrespectful . Mind you, we are literally the only people in this restaurant besides one other party and a few people seated at the bar and it's a TUESDAY. We ask if he might be able to make an exception. He allows it and says just this one time when we come back he won't allow it (don't worry we're not coming back) . At this point we are all taken back by the way we were spoken to and are wondering if we should just leave. The waitress comes over so we decide to put in drinks. She doesn't go over a specials just takes our orders and has no knowledge of their drink menu, wine list etc. We wait 30 minutes for our drinks and to be honest you cannot taste a drip of alcohol in any of their drinks. All so sweet and nothing to write home about. Whatever we move on to ordering food since now we're starving after waiting forever just for drinks (again it's Tuesday and this restaurant is dead) . The sushi rolls ordered are literally 5 rolls CUT IN HALF to make it look like more. I have never in my life seen a sushi restaurant do this . Then they proceeded to bring out food we never even ordered and charge us for it. Food is sub par, (definitely don't order the orange blossom roll) . "Bang bang shrimp" is sweet and sour not bang bang sauce . Waitress comes to check in and starts taking plates of food and drinks off the table that are half full that we haven't finished yet, we politely ask her to leave them that we're still working. She comes back a few minutes later and asks if we're ready for checks (um ma'am, we would like to eat that cake you charged us $10 to store) she brings out the cake they sing happy birthday and then just walk away. They don't cut the cake they don't bring out forks and plates... so we ask for as much. We are ready to get our checks and they let us know they can only split it 3 ways ( something that should be mentioned when booking) . We get our checks and we are charged gratuity of 22%. Pretty sure standard is 20% but whatever. After leaving a friend is looking at their social media and they had 1/2 of sushi and wine by the glass specials. None of that was added to our bill. Oh and the manager that chewed us out was seated on the patio with a lady friend drinking and eating for the entirety of our meal. 0 out of 5 stars would not recommend to a friend . read more

You are better off making reservations prior to coming here because they are fully booked. I ordered sushi and the rolls were very very small but taste was good. I also recommend checking your bill and not just going off on what the screen says when the host charges you. There is a 20% tip charge automatically for dinning at a table or at the bar and when they have you pay they show you the tip screen only and ask for your signature. This seemed kind of deceiving to me, not showing you what you are being charged for. read more

I came to Spice for my Co-W coworker's birthday and we had a blast. I got the bang bang shrimp and it was my appetizer. It was really good and then I got the lamb chops. The lamb chops on point and the is wonderful. It wasn't too cold and wasn't too hot. It was just right in the music was to die for you really will have good time if you chose the spice.
