The atmosphere of the restaurant is great decorations are nice. I'm from queens ny so i know my thai and indian food. This is authentic, fresh and delicously made food! We went on a wednesday around 6 pm and there were a couple people there already. As time passed, more people were coming even though its the middle of the week. My mom,who is not particularly fond of Indian food, was raving about my Chicken Tikka Masala the entire meal as was everyone else. We also ordered the vegetable spring rolls, chicken korma, chicken pad thai, and naan which were all delicious! Wouldn't normally go to a restaurant that serves 3 different types of food (Indian/Thai/Chinese) but my Indian dish was delicious. Went an hour before closing, restaurant was empty. First time at Spice Route after a long awaited opening. The food was delicious, the service wonderful, the ambiance - exactly what i was hoping for this. This restaurant is what the Pocono needs. My palate has been waiting for real food and real spice and here it is. Try it, you will not regret it. We tried a few appetizers and two different entrees. I somehow heard about this restaurant, saw the reviews and decided we should try it since we are sometimes up in that direction. We were very pleasantly surprised. Since the large menu covers Pan-Asian, Thai and Indian, it was hard to choose. We had pan fried dumplings, chicken/lettuce wraps, Szechuan chicken, crispy lamb hot bean and garlic naan. The interior looks much nicer than it appears from the outside; and they have a bar! We enjoyed it very much. We live in the Lehigh Valley, and ethic fare here is limited. Try it! read more

Pan Asian with a fantastic touch! We live in New Jersey and came for our first time. Delicious balance of texture and flavor, which, as you know for Pan Asian, is really hard to do. The Papaya Salad was crunchy and savory- sweet. My wife had the Bhel Puri which was delicious. The Samosas were perfect and the Tom Yum Kari must be tried with its lemongrass floors. Stumbled upon this place on yelp by chance was very pleasantly surprised. Such an eclectic mix of different cuisines, and each one executed skillfully. Every dish had so many layers of flavor and texture, I'm from out of town but every time I'm around, I'll be coming back here for sure. My family and I went out to dine at Spice Route. We ordered both an appetizer and entrees. The servers did not know which meal belong to which person. Although, the server said two of the four meals were a little spicy they were unbearably hot to the point where we had to send two of the meals back and reorder. The server then informed me he would only take one of the meals off (with an attitude) even though we stated they were too hot and not to mention I am 6 months pregnant. For this establishment to just be in existence for 6 weeks the servers need to be a little bit more hospitable and accommodating. The food was good but I will never return. read more

My better half and I stopped in Saturday about 5:00.. I love Vindaloo seasonings and this one was great. Vindalo shrimp had 9 or 10 jumbo shrimp and a few potatoes. Served with perfectly cooked rice. went here for dinner tonite and was blown away so many different options to choose from, everything was fresh and delicious , service was on point, me and my wife had the chicken spring rolls to start and then she had something from the indian part of the menu and I had the chicken pad thai and it was excellent. so many different cuisines in one spot very intriguing. they also have a full bar so we indulged in some house wine, also good stuff, we had dessert which we rarely ever do, we mango cheesecake and an indian dessert consisting of carrots and condensed milk and it was delicious and i am not a big fan of trying new things. so much variety and fresh ingredients, you have to try it out, very beautiful decorated inside as well. def a great spot for dinner or lunch. we are def coming back to try different things, i went thai tonite i might go indian or chinese next week, great job spice route!!! great location too so close to the stroud mall and the new retro fitness!!!!! read more
